What a fun day! Annie is a delightful lady that taught us much about the market and cooking seafood in a short amount at time. With hands on instruction and history of our wines and foods it was an all round worth every minute and dime experience that I will repeat again! Thank you Annie B and Pepi!

Do you want to learn about Sherry? There is no better place to visit. Annie is a qualified Sherry Educator and expert on the wines of Andalucía. Plus, she runs an amazing cookery school from her house in Vejer. Guaranteed not to disappoint.

Annie is such an expert on the foods and Sherry's of Spain, and the Cadiz area of Spain, which makes spending time on a cooking course, or traveling the area with her a real education. This is quite unlike any cooking course I've done before, from the minute you meet Annie you feel that you're in the company of a good friend who wants to make sure you have an unforgettable experience of everything Andalucia has to offer. Highly recommended!

We were lucky to have “Annie B” as a guest chef in Palm Beach, Florida. She demonstrated technique and did a wonderful job as an ambassador for Andalusian cooking.

We love visiting Annie B's Spanish kitchen in Vejer. Annie is a wonderful host that is so knowledgable and enthusiastic about Spanish food. Whether you are an expert or a complete novice, you are guaranteed to love the experience.

Learning to cook at Annie B's Spanish Kitchen

We had never been to Vejer de la Frontera before, so it was a delight to combine our first trip to the town with a visit to Annie B's Spanish Kitchen.

Annie first of all took us to the market at nearby Barbate where we bought all the fresh ingredients, including pargo and lubina for making our salt-baked fish dish. To our amazement, whilst we were inside the market a "flash mob" appeared and began dancing and singing, much to the amusement of the stall-holders - though I don't suppose this treat can always be arranged for all visitors to Annie B's Spanish kitchen!

Annie is particularly knowledgeable about the almadraba method of catching Atlantic bluefin tuna and, as a passionate "sherry educator", knew exactly which tipple went with each dish we prepared later in the day.

She guided us through her selection of delicious recipes which were easy to prepare (even for a novice cook like my husband), but which looked much more elaborate.

Annie is excellent teacher and we had a fantastic time at Casa Alegre. She tailors her cooking days according to your level of expertise and interests, I would recommend a visit to Annie B's Kitchen to anyone.

Can't wait to go back and try a different kind of cooking.

Visiting Annie B's Spanish kitchen was a great experience, right from going to the market to start the day up until enjoying the delicious food we prepared under Annie's watchful eye. A fun and relaxed atmosphere, I left with great memories as well as great recipes!

Fantastic experience, great fun, learned lots about Spanish cooking and sherry. Annie is a superb host, her passion for Spain and its cuisine and wonderful products is infectious, and it's impossible not to love hanging out in her kitchen, chatting, chopping, stirring, tasting and then sitting down for a long and delicious meal.
