Aqueduct Eagle

Una estructura impresionante, especialmente si la admiras desde el fondo del desfiladero.
Si estás en Nerja o alrededores, merece la pena una visita al acueducto. Puede caminar por el desfiladero hasta el mar o caminar hasta la estructura.
Si caminas por el desfiladero, puedes admirar ideas vivas muy interesantes.

Desafortunadamente, el puente de carretera "recién construido" perturba un poco la vista.

El camino al edificio es algo intransitable.
Hay estacionamiento gratuito en la calle para algunos autos.

Pequeño sendero para ir al pie del acueducto, y este conduce a un pequeño arroyo si tienes alma para caminar y agacharte bajo los árboles.

Mal señalizado si preguntas alrededor son todos extranjeros así que informarse bien, pero merece la pena porque impresión a, está un poco sucio, una pena

Nos lo encontramos de casualidad! Pena que no se pueda visitar más de cerca, pero tiene una bonita foto

Magnífico acueducto muy bien conservado y poco conocido, si se visita la zona de Nerja vale la pena visitarlo ×recomendable

Bel acquedotto storico sulla strada per le grotte di Nerja, cè una zoan di sosta per fermarsi a vederlo.

Saw this whist both driving to and driving from cuervo de Nerja. There is a quick stop on the road to take a pic.dont know if you are supposed to stop. Looks amazing.

The aqueduct itself is very good but the road/parking and walk to it is not very well looked after. As a tourist attraction we felt it was very scruffy and didn't feel safe there.

Aparcad en la N340 y admirad este fantástico acueducto a escasos 600 metros de Maro. Si estáis por la zona Maro es un pueblo muy bonito para su visita donde se encuentran las mal llamadas Cuevas de Nerja ya que no están en Nerja sino en Maro. Desde Maro también se puede empezar a ascender el Pico del Cielo y en su defecto visitad el Pinarillo que es una zona recreativa a escasos 2 Km De la Fuente del Esparto.

Beautiful aqueduct on the way to Nerja. You can stop on the side of the road to appreciate the 4 stories structure and take some photos. Nothing more than that.

Viewable from the side of the road leaving Nerja, in fact walking distance from the town. Rather pretty but not very long. Built in late 19th century

Es espectacular la obra de ingeniería. La lástima que tiene un acceso difícil o lo ves desde unos pequeños apartados de la carretera.

Muy bonito sobre todo de noche iluminado de azul.
Cuenta con unas paradas para 3 vehículos a ambos lados de la carretera

Sympa à voir, vous pouvez aller en dessous par un petit sentier.
Attention il y avait une famille qui habitait dans la végétation et ils ont de gros chiens ça surprend.

It’s beautiful and was worth the walk in the sunshine from where we were staying NE of Nerja - but if you’re not that into a walk, architecture or taking photos it might not be one for you - there’s not much around it, but I believe there’s a nice beach nearby that we should have visited in a round trip really. I’ve seen more stunning aqueducts but I liked it. There’s a parking spot if you drive a little way down the street just before the last roundabout you hit ahead of the aqueduct - to the right if you’re coming in from Nerja, where some people drove up and walked to the base - we just walked.

Pintoresco acueducto de colores mediterra neos que sobresale imponente con sus tres alturas y su curioso detalle en forma de torre campanario en el centro de la parte superior entre el frondoso fondo del valle donde esta situado. Tiene bonitas vistas desde la carrete ra que pasa frente a esta bonita obra de arte.

De lejos es un sitio bonito, al no ser la zona no encontramos el acceso para verlo desde abajo, ya que no hay señalización para dirigirse por la caminería de tierra.

This place is very hard to find. You can take a stop at the end of the bridge at near route from both side. Its nice to see, take picture, look at valey and farm at the bottom and homeles house and go. You can plan 5 minit for visit of this place and 10 m for finding:)

Acueducto construido a finales del siglo XIX, que abastecía de agua a la fábrica de azúcar y antigua disteleria de Maro ubicada a 300 metros escasos hacia el oeste en línea recta

Muy bonito. Nos costó un poco aparcar para poder hacer la foto, pero las vistas merecieron la pena.

Good place to stop by and enjoy the architectural beauty. Can hardly park 3 cars only, so it's a bit of luck during peak times.

Es muy bonito aunque le quita parte de su belleza, algunas comunas que ahí allí viviendo y que se ven desde varios puntos.

Es interesante, pero no tuve el tiempo que quería para verlo en detalle, no sé si es posible acercarse más, solo pude verlo desde la carretera.

Akwedukt del Águila (Akwedukt Orła), jest uważany w całym regionie za "historyczny klejnot architektury hiszpańskiej". Został zbudowany w latach 1879-1880, służył do transportu wody dla lokalnej rafinerii cukru w Maro, zbudowanej w 1884 roku. W 2005 roku fabryka została zamknięta, a w 2012 akwedukt odrestaurowano. Obecnie jest nadal używany do nawadnień rolniczych.
Akwedukt jest typowy dla XIX wieku, kiedy popularny był styl mudejar, używany przez muzułmańskich rzemieślników w Hiszpanii między XIII a XV wiekiem. Akwedukt ma cztery piętra, każde zbudowane z serii ceglanych łuków w kształcie podkowy. Są one zwieńczone iglicą. Na szczycie znajduje się wiatrowskaz w kształcie dwugłowego orła, od którego pochodzi nazwa akweduktu.

Acueducto del Águila (Aqueduct of the Eagle) is considered the "historical jewel of Spanish architecture" throughout the region. It was built in 1879-1880, it was used to transport water for the local sugar refinery in Maro, built in 1884. In 2005, the factory was closed, and in 2012 the aqueduct was restored. Currently, it is still used for agricultural irrigation.
The aqueduct is typical of the 19th century, when the mudejar style used by Muslim craftsmen in Spain between the 13th and 15th centuries was popular. The aqueduct has four floors, each built from a series of horseshoe-shaped brick arches. They are topped with a spire. At the top there is a weather vane in the shape of a two-headed eagle, from which the name of the aqueduct comes.
