Amazing experience, qualified instructors who really know what they are doing, perfect organization and brand new equipment.

We did 5 days of course: first 3 days semi-private and than 2 days private lessons. We learned all important things step by step, accompanied by the right tips and clear explanations. It was the perfect mix between getting a feeling for the kite first, than body-dragging, trying to put the board on, to stand up and to ride. Than depending on how fast you are progressing, learning upwind, transition, jumping and carving…

It was absolutely amazing! Pau and his crew will certainly see me again!

As absolute beginners we took 4 lessons with Atlantic kite school and we had so much fun! Our instructor, David, was Super! Always patient and calm, providing great tips to improve quickly. Despite the short time of our stay Pau and David tried their best to give us as much as training time possibile. Very professional and friendly! We wish we manage to get back there soon:)

We were 2 beginners with my friend and we had private lessons. Thank you in particular to David Axel and Pau.
They were both cool and very pedagogue, speaking perfectly spanish, english or french. I felt the progression and realy enjoyed the lessons.

We had the most amazing time learning how to Kitesurf with Atlantic Kite! Pau, Jose and Axel were fantastic! The lessons were incredibly well organised, the teaching was amazing, and the instructors always made sure we were confident, safe and having lots of fun! We were a mix of two complete beginners and one with a few hours of experience. We did a mix of private / semi private and both styles of lessons were great. The school also uses walkie talkies in the water, which means that you get clear instructions whilst on the water (so useful!). All three of us made massive progress each lesson/across the week and are already planning a return trip! We 100% recommend Atlantic Kite to anyone looking for lessons in Tarifa!

Pau and his teachers are great! We spent 1.5 weeks learning how to kitesurf with the instructor David - in a beginner semi-private course and we enjoyed it a lot. Learned how to do the basics and always felt safe and followed. All of them were very open to answer any kind of question we had, while at the same time spreading the passion for kite. All the equipment was provided and especially useful radio connection on the helmet - this is a very useful tool when trying out things in the water - to have your instructor suggesting you what to do and what not to do) Not all schools have this! I appreciate all the care recieved. Hope to come back again soon!

No había tenido la oportunidad de probar el Kite y descubrirlo con Pau y Vivi fué pura droga. Gente cercana y enamorada de su trabajo, preocupada de que logres disfrutarlo igual o más que ellos. Totalmente recomendable!
Pd: Pau, no pudimos pasar por El Palmar a comernos la paella.

I tried kite surfing for the first time with “Atlantic Kitesurf” school and it was very good. In my three classes (each for 2 hours) I learnt how to manage a kite on the beach, in the water and even tried to stay on the board.

I had two instructors - one of them was great and explained everything very thorough. The other one was less experienced as instructor and left a bit ambivalent impression.

I discussed my challenges about the second instructor with the director of the school - Pau - and he sorted it all out. He was very understanding and I’m grateful for this!

Moreover, i was always picked up at the bus station in Tarifa and brought to my lesson (I don’t have a car and couldn’t come by myself). Many thanks for that!

We arrived as a group of six, and we all really appreciated the level of professionalism, the quality, the flexibility, and the great atmosphere of the school and instructors (english and french speaking). Atlantic Kite set me up with two instructors over three days (three 2 hour lessons) in August 2021. The instructors were incredible. I had taken a lesson long ago, and the Atlantic Kite team was able to get me back up to speed quickly, and soon we were working on things I had never been able to do before. I highly recommend this school for anyone who wants a great experience learning to kite board.

Had a blast with the whole team of Atlantic Kite School. The team is like one big family and you immediately feel welcomed to it. Pau and his team is managing the lessons very well and is teaching you kitesurfing in a very high quality and safety level. Always adapting to weather, time preference and learning speed. Glad that i picked Atlantic Kite School to learn kitesurf and now feel confident to kitesurf anywhere on the world on my own. Thank you for the great time and i will be back!

Great teachers, no wild cards all very safe and fun to learn with. Could not recommend more to anyone looking to start kiting or improve. I come from a windsurfing background and was riding upwind after 5 lessons, super fun! Tarifa is a tricky spot so don't think twice about getting a lesson - Atlantic Kite is a great place to learn.

Mi experiencia en Atlantic Kite ha sido inmejorable. Son muy profesionales y pacientes, han conseguido que me sienta cómoda en todo momento practicando este deporte que era totalmente nuevo para mi. El material está en perfecto estado y además son majísimos. Repito seguro y espero que pronto!

Soy un aficionado el Kitesurf y tengo todo el material de excepto cometa y barra, las cuales alquilé durante una semana en Atlantic Kite.

El trato recibido por Pau y sus compañeros durante toda la semana fue EXCELENTE.

A pesar de estar liados con cursos, en todo momento estaban dispuestos a ayudarme a montar la cometa para que yo pudiese navegar más tiempo y a parte, me dieron consejos muy útiles lo cuales pude poner en practica y me han permitido mejorar y disfrutar de una gran semana de navegación.

Todo perfecto. Pau es muy atento y dispuesto a encajar las clases en el horario que te convengan y el viento sea el adecuado. Este es el segundo año que cogemos clases particulares para mi hijo y quedamos muy contentos. El material que proporcionan es de calidad y da bastante seguridad. Muy recomendable.

I started kitesurfing this year in June as a complete beginner. Pau's school has been recommended to me by others before, so I decided to book lessons with him and was not disappointed. I spent 6 months in Tarifa and Pau and his team became some sort of my "beach family")
Although kitesurfing is known as an "easy" sport, my experience was that there are nevertheless many things to learn and to experience. It took me a while to get a feeling for the wind, the water, the equipment (especially for the power of the kite) as well as the new body movement - and how to work with all of them simultaneously. But Pau and his team did their best to support me in this process. Having had classes with three different instructors (Pau, José and Cris), this was an ideal combination of three different approaches of teaching and I learned a lot from each one of them - a good mix between patience and calmness on the one hand and challenge and here and there a little push on the other hand.
The first one or two lessons are done at the beach to get used to fly a kite. Once you go to the water you learn how to bodydrag, which is also done together with the instructor in the beginning. Only then you start using the board. I liked the communication via walkie-talkie, which can help a lot and you never feel alone in the water once you need to go into the water alone. After class and when time allowed, the students and the instructors had drinks together at the beach bar or we sometimes even went for a group dinner, which I found very nice.
Once I was able to kite on my own, I rented my equipment from Pau and he would always keep an eye on me (even when busy with other people) and give me more tips, which I appreciated A LOT, as I always felt very safe like this.

Empecé a practicar kitesurf en junio como un principiante total. Otra gente ya me había recomendado la escuela de Pau antes, así que decidí reservar clases con él y no me decepcionó. Pasé 6 meses en Tarifa y al final Pau y su equipo de instructores fueron mi "familia de playa")
Aunque el kitesurf es conocido como un deporte "fácil", según mi experiencia hay muchas cosas que aprender y experimentar de toda forma. Me llevó un tiempo sentir el viento, el mar, el equipo (sobre todo la fuerza de la cometa) y así como el nuevo movimiento del cuerpo - y como trabajar con todas estas cosas al mismo tiempo. Pero Pau y su equipo hicieron todo lo posible para apoyarme en este proceso. Tuve clases con tres instructores diferentes (Pau, José y Cris), que fue una combinación ideal de tres maneras diferentes de enseñanza y aprendí mucho de cada uno de ellos - una buena mezcla entre paciencia y serenidad por un lado y desafío y aquí y allá un pequeño empujón por otro lado.
Las primeras clases se hacen en la playa para acostumbrarse a volar una cometa. Una vez que vas al agua aprendes el "bodydrag" - se hace junto con el instructor al principio. Después empezarás a usar la tabla. Me gustó la comunicación vía el radio, que puede ayudar mucho y nunca te sientes solo en el agua. Después de las clases y cuando el tiempo lo permitía, los alumnos y los instructores tomaban algo juntos en le chiringuito o incluso a veces íbamos a cenar en grupo - una cosa que me gustó mucho también.
Cuando podía navegar por cuenta propia, alquilaba mi equipo de Pau y él siempre me vigilaba (incluso cuando estaba ocupado con otras personas) y me daba más consejos. Eso apreciaba mucho y así siempre me sentí muy segura en el agua.
Un enorme "gracias" al equipo por el gran momento y por no perder la paciencia conmigo) Espero veros la próxima vez!

I took a few lessons at Pau‘s school and was very satisfied with the way of teaching, the professional handling and the fun I had. I learned a lot in this time and got much more than expected! Actualmente estoy realizando un curso de iniciación al Kitesurf y son 100% recomendables. El aprendizaje con ellos se realiza desde un primer momento de forma dinámica, proporcionándote todo el equipo que necesitas para practicarlo con un precio económico. Es un placer recibir clases de un apasionado del Kitesurf como Pau, transmitiendo de forma clara todos los conceptos necesarios y sobre todo disfrutando a la vez que se aprende.

Fui a Tarifa con un amigo hacer un curso semiprivado de iniciación de kitesurf con Pau y José de Atlantic Kite. Durante tres días nos enseñaron mucho de este deporte. Son grandes profesionales. Espero volver a verles pronto y que me ayuden a seguir progresando en este deporte.

It was just great! Me and my friend took 4 days of Semi-Private classes. The last day we were surfing on our own! The best school we could choose. Our instructor was Jose. 1. Super patient. 2. Understanding. 3. He is teaching for like 15 years (if I remember correctly) so very experienced.
Even when teaching in English his knowledge, understanding and experience really created the best atmosphere for us to learn as much as we could.

Besides that we loved Tarifa, amazing small town, so cozy, very friendly people.

We spent a week training with this school and this was not the first time we took lessons. By far the best experience so far and very reasonably priced too. It is not difficult to see that everyone on this school is vey passionate about their job. Ha sido una experiencia brutal, en tan solo 2 dias hemos sido capaces de aprender a manejar la cometa y a ponernos de pie en la tabla. Tienen todo tipo de equipo dependiendo de tu nivel, y los monitores son muy majetes, por lo que hay muy buen rollo en las clases y te los pasas de locos.

Escuela recomendadísima! Se nota que el kitesurfing es la pasión de los instructores y también enseñarlo. Muchas gracias José! Pasé de pensar que el kitesurf no es lo mío a que ahora me encante y lo quiera seguir practicando:). Volveremos sin duda: D

I highly recommand Atlantic Tarifa Kite School. The teachers are passionate and give really good advices. In only 3 days, i was able to go from beginner to going upwind thanks to the quality and intensity of the lessons.

Great group of instructors! Their lessons were a perfect introduction to the sport. I was lucky to work with many of the staff and everyone was supportive, professional, and had a good attitude that made the experience very enjoyable.

Fantastic instructors, spoke English very well. Tailored the lesson to the individual and got me up on the board in the water in 4 hrs.

There are so many options and so many schools available but this is the one you should call. No question.

Real good teaching with big focus on safety. As a newbe I was happy to get up on the board a few times during my 2x2 hrs 1: 1 lessons in Tarifa.
Pau told me that when I got back to Denmark in more sheltered waters I would be able to get up on the board for longer runs. And he was right!
I can highly recommend the 1: 1 lessons.
