If I could I would give them 0/5. Unfortunately, this is not possible. We booked an automatic car 3 months before our trip to Malaga, but a day before our flight the agency came back to us saying that their automatic car 'had broken down' (and only when we reminded them of the date and time of our arrival). You guys had 3 months to sort it out! When asked if we could consider a car with manual transmission, we obviously said no. Then, suddenly automatic cars re-appeared, but we chose to book a car with a different car rental. When you travel with kids, obviously you cannot take such risks. Ironically, they texted at the end: 'I want to be sure that you guys will definitely arrive, ' which is the cherry on the cake.

This is an addition after the company's response. I stand by what I said. Speaking facts: After messaging that their automatic car had broken down (again, only after I reminded them of our arrival date and time), they offered a Smart. To a family of four. But even more unsettling is that they never even apologised. Because they did the right thing. Almost.

If I could give them 10 stars, I would. This is by far the best place to rent a car, in Spain. I looked at many reviews online at the Málaga airport, and I was horrified by the reviews, even with the big companies. I decided to search online for local places and read many reviews and compared prices with multiple agencies. Javier has the best prices and great reviews. The cars are not new but clean, well taken care of, and mechanically checked by him and his staff. The price includes insurance and all fees. No hidden fees or deposit. Straight forward and honest. Javier is very easy going and is very flexible, responsible, and dependable. One of our cars had a cooling leak, but he drove where we were (1 hour away) and exchanged it. If you want a worry free, affordable, and easy car rental experience, look no further! Highly recommend Berengueauto!

Believe me, I have never rented a car so quickly and with minimal formalities!
Javier is a nice man, smiling but at the same time serious and with a professional character. Once you've shaken his hand, you realize you've found the right man.
After I left the airport, I sent him a message, after which I received the directions where I can pick up the car. He waited for me at the appointed place, and after only five minutes, I took over the car. A signed document, a quick bank transfer and a handshake, that was all!
He assured me that if I need anything, just send a message and everything will be resolved in due time.
The price of the car is reasonable, even below the price charged by the rental companies at the airport and includes everything, without any extra tax or unnecessary insurance.
I highly recommend and want to thank him again for making sure my holiday was carefree!

What a great easy set up… car hire has always been very stressful over the years with hidden extras etc but Javier service was great. We jumped on the train right outside the terminal as per instructions and meet javier 2 stops away! Very easy yes car is a little old but was a lovely drive. We had a Diesel seat car and the dial hardly moved. We returned the car to the same place, we actually got an Uber to the airport again all very easy and cheap! Great communication throughout we use again!

Great service and prices from this car hire company. I was looking for hire from Malaga airport, and was shocked by all the negative reviews from the 'big boys' with endless stories of arguments. Berenguerauto are different. No deposits, good communication and no grief. The cars are a little older than most companies, but our Fiat Uno was clean, tidy and waiting for us at the railway station when we arrived. Don't worry about the short railway journey. We found it a nice experience and very easy with a train every twenty minutes. There are no checks on 'additional scratches' etc. We were just asked to leave our car at the station, put the keys in the boot, and go on with our journey. An overall pleasant experience having dealt with many of the international car hire companies in the past.

After reading the reviews for Berenguer car hire we slightly changed our plans so we could fly via Malaga instead of Seville for our holiday as all the well known car hire companies are currently trying to charge stupidly high rates and have lots of really bad reviews for their customer service. We could not have been happier with our choice. We got great communications via email and whats app from Javier who is incredibly professional and honest. The car was a slightly older model with around 80k on the clock however was mechanically faultless and perfect for our driving holiday, plus Javier reassured us by saying we did not need to worry about any minor scratches whilst trying to navigate the tiny streets in Spains old towns. Thankfully our trip was completely incident free but we will now always hire our cars from Javier when visiting Spain knowing he is never going to try and rip us off, thank you and we look forward to seeing you again.

Great service from Javier, my flight was delayed and Javier actually picked me up from the airport.
The price is excellent and includded comprehensive insurance with out a deposit. You have to collect and return the car from Los Alamos railway station (just 2 stops) actually this was more convenient and easy than I expected. Highly recommended and will definitely use Javier again.

Always worry when hiring cars whilst on holiday, however this experience was so easy and a pleasure. Car was Seat Altera and was perfect for our family of 5 adults.

Nous avons découvert Bereguerauto en mars 2019 complètement par hasard sur un site de location de véhicule entre particuliers, Drivy devenu désormais Getaround. Nous avions besoin d'un utilitaire de type Berlingo pendant une semaine, et nous en avions eu à l'époque assurance comprise sans franchise et kilométrage illimité à 129 € pour 7 jours du samedi au samedi!
La récupération du véhicule s'était faite sur un petit parking juste en contrebas de la station de RER la Colina, à deux arrêts de l'aéroport. C'est en effet la seule et unique contrainte nécessaire pour louer un véhicule chez Javier. C'est a moins de 10 minutes de l'aéroport. Nous avions été absolument enchantés par cette location avec un véhicule tout neuf en parfait état. La communication avec Javier est super simple avec WhatsApp, en espagnol ou en anglais.
En décembre nous sommes revenus à Malaga et nous avons loué une golf diesel 5 portes car nous venions avec ma mère de 93 ans. Je m'étais entendu auparavant avec Javier directement sur son portable et il a eu la gentillesse de nous amener la voiture juste devant la sortie de l'aéroport. Je sais combien c'est inhabituel pour lui. Vraiment un grand merci pour ce geste car ce n'était pas facile avec une personne âgée en fauteuil roulant. 15 jours complets de location kilométrage illimité pour 365 € assurance tous risques sans franchise. Pour le retour, nous avons simplement laissé a voiture dans le parking attenant à l'aéroport, en laissant la clé dans le coffre comme Javier nous l'avait indiqué.
Un rapport qualité-prix absolument imbattable, des véhicules de qualité, et un loueur qui se met en 4 pour rendre service et faire plaisir à ses clients. À recommander vraiment à 100 %, beaucoup mieux et bien moins cher que n'importe quel autre loueur de marque à l'aéroport, avec en prime, j'insiste bien là dessus, une assurance tous risques et sans franchise.
