Cascada Barranco Blanco

Un paraiso. El camino desde el aparcamiento es bastante largo pero cuando entras en el rio no tienes que caminar muy lejos para disfrutar del agua muy buena.

Hemos estado hoy. Somos 4 adultos. Dificultad baja también porque por esta época del año no lleva tanta agua y se puede caminar bien.

Está fatal señalizado, no se sabe donde comienza la ruta ni por donde ir. Nos hemos perdido varias veces intentando encontrar el comienzo del río porque tampoco había nadie alli.

Del 1 junio al 15 de octubre se tiene que aparcar a media hora en pendiente, para abajo fenomenal, pero la subida es bastante dura. Hay un parking pequeño abajo, donde el comienzo, pero se supone que no es “legal” aparcar ahí.

Experiencia agradable pero se necesitan mejoras en la señalización.

No en esta época del año. Finales de septiembre y como este año fue seco, no hay cascada ni río agradable para caminar.

Muy bonita la ruta, único inconveniente los 20 minutos andando del aparcamiento a la poza.

La ruta comienza al lado de un puente pequeño a la derecha, hay q cruzar el rio, Llevar escarpines, si quieres terminar la ruta, con niños pequeños hay que tener cuidado

Pues es precioso una buena ruta, lo recomiendo eso si tened cuidado en el agua y sobre todo con los perros el mío iba andando por el agua y se dio un apuñalada en l almohadilla que le cojio un aalteria y le pusieron 10 puntos después de 3 semanas todavía la tiene abierta fue con un cristal, así que cuidado

Impresionante. El problema es que va mucha gente y hay personas que no cuidan este paraíso. Recomiendo hacer la ruta pero por favor respetad el medio ambiente para que perdures mucho tiempo.

Parking is about 2 miles off, so it starts with a 30 min walk (downhill). We chose to take a right by the bridge in order to reach the natural pools where you could have a swim. The upstream walk takes another 15 min, but it's highly enjoyable, with plenty of freshwater to keep you cool. Count on getting your shoes soaked (use old shoes). The deepest pool is definitely deep enough for a swim. It's perfect on a hot summers day. Beautiful surroundings, cool fresh water, what else could you wish for! It's a tiny bit of a trek, but don't bring your grandma.

It's quite popular to drive all the way down to park by the bridge, this isn't allowed.

Beautifull area and easily accesible!

Immediately upon arrival at the trail, nature treats you to an epic view, you can gaze upon the whole valley, and even spot the ocean if you look carefully at the rough lanscapes at the horizon.

When enterring the trail, you quickly hear the water running.
Curious nature lover that I am, I followed my ears to what i can only describe as an oasis within the dessert valley.
Surrounded by the rosebushes is a waterfall, about 5-6m high.

I climed down to take some pictures amd videos, and discovered my new favorite place to rest.

After this i took a short path to higher areas to again gaze over the valley, from a different perspective.

There are quite some people (wealthy people for sure) whot built houses in the area, luckily with care for beauty and detailed architecture and beautifull palmtrees, cacti and other succulents.

Only 1 of the houses had a green cut grass garden, which i find sad in such a dessert environment.
I prefer people grow thenplants that are supposed to grow in these environments.

Still this place is definetly worth a visit! Im sure to return amd explore more in the other side of the area:)

Un poco de aventura, pero en meses de verano no permiten acercarse con el coche salvo a los más irrespetuosos.

Stunning waterfall not far from Alhaurín golf. Be warned - it’s a long walk from the recommended car park and unbelievably steep road out of the gorge. Through in 34DegC of heat and you may have a problem. The locals ignore the “no vehicles”sign and drive down where there is a second car park. I did the same!

The waterfall is stunning but not easy to get to. You need to be able-bodied and steady on your feet to climb down the rocks to get to the pool. You are rewarded with a crystal clear pool to swim in and cool off in. Recommend some cheap “water shoes”as the rocks are sore to bare feet.
