These folks made buying investment property for vacation rental in Malaga easier than decorating it. Literally. My partner and I were looking to buy in Malaga’s historic district, and although we had done some research on the traditional real estate sites in Spain, we didn’t know what we didn’t know, and very little regarding all the steps, criteria, pitfalls, and advantages of purchasing a vacation flat. So we needed a turnkey operation that included property management… and man, did we luck out!
Of the several options we found, Colours of Andalucia was the perfect fit, and far as I can tell, the only one who covered all the ground we needed. We began with a Zoom call which put my partner and I at ease right away. Ali answered all of our questions and was generous with his time to make certain we understood all the details. Caroline pulled some great properties that we had otherwise no access to and counseled us on what areas and amenities were best suited for short term renters. But they also helped us understand how to best set up our business, and connected us with the right attorney to quarterback the entire purchasing process, set up bank accounts, Spanish identification, secure our loan, and obtain our property’s vacation license.
Both Caroline and Ali are extremely diligent in all facets of their service, timely in responding to questions, facilitators in areas we didn’t know needed facilitating, and problem solvers when unexpected surprises arose.
When we finally flew into Malaga from Miami to see our properties first hand, we were thrilled to find they are also lovely folks that we expect will remain personal friends for years to come. It certainly made the searching process fun, and the purchasing feel relaxed.
Once we made an offer to the seller, they of course also performed all the duties of a real estate agent by helping us negotiate the price and liaison between us and the seller. And for those of us who’ve never dealt with large sums of foreign currency, they helped save thousands by referring us to a fantastic London-based currency exchange agency that came in a couple of points under our bank’s exchange rate for buying Euro’s.
Appliance resources, handymen, notaries, Coulours of Andalucia provided it all and orchestrated it. I cannot overstate how much they’ve done for us and the grace and friendly demeanor with which they did it.
I don’t just recommend them, I don’t see how anyone with the limited knowledge we had could have got it all done in the short time we did. Property viewing to closing - approximately 60 days. They then introduced us to a few property management companies and recommended one located right within the historic district, so we felt confident they understood the tourist market in the area where we had purchased. All in all, it’s simply been a fantastic experience. Not without a couple of minor kinks along the way, but without Colours of Andalucia, those minor kinks would have turned into much greater problems to overcome.
If you’re even thinking of buying in Andalucia / Costa del Sol / Malaga area, do yourself a favor and just reach out to them. I’m pretty certain you’ll feel the same as we do.

Colors of andalucia has been managing our apartment for almost one year. The times during pandemic were difficult, but they helped us tremendously with clients and everything about. They are doing a fantastic job. Customers are super satisfied about their guidance and they take all the work off our hands. If there is a problem in the apartment, they will find a solution and fix it quickly. We contact via whats app and they always respond very quickly to all our questions.
If we want to replace something in our apartment, they have a good network of reliable maintenance parties and suppliers that we can use and they also supervise the implementation.
We are extremely happy with Colors of Andalucia and highly recommended their services.

Hace cuatro años ininterrumpidos que pasamos nuestras vacaciones en apartamentos gestionados por Colours of Andalucía y no tenemos más que palabras de agradecimiento por su profesionalidad, y por el trato cercano, amable y familiar que siempre nos han brindado. Siempre hemos disfrutado de estancias en apartamentos de gran calidad y Ali siempre está disponible para atender cualquier contingencia. Tenemos clarísimo que repetiremos cada año mientras sigamos bajando a la Costa del Sol. Recomendables al 100%, un acierto seguro!

I had an email from someone pretending to be this company and they came back to me with a property but demanding I paid within 48 hours of getting the contract for a long term rental which seemed too good to be true. Asked me to pay direct to the owner 1000 euros for move in at end of September! Said accepted pets. On Booking.com said they don't. As I am a letting agent myself, nothing added up so I contacted the real owner direct who said it was their property and not the person I had been given!
