Desert Springs Golf Club

El campo de golf es muy entretenido, un diseño divertido. El cuidado del mismo es espectacular, de los mejores greenes que he jugado. La atencion del personal ejemplar. Sin duda una escapada recomendable si estás por la zona!
PD: el único punto negativo, pretender cobrar 1€ por dar un cubo de SOLO 10 bolas es el mayor atraco que me he encontrado en un campo de golf. Debería estar incluído en el greenfee, o en tal caso que tenga un número decente de bolas.

Excelente estancia. El personal fue muy amable y servicial. La comida era increíble, especialmente la ensalada César. Gracias por una estancia encantadora y definitivamente volveremos.

Mi familia y yo fuimos prometidos la devolucion de una cuna que nunca se utilizo y se pago por adelantado y llevamos mas de un mes esperando esa devolucion. El Resort no nos contesta a los correos electronicos desde hace semanas y estamos muy indignados por la falta de atencion al cliente. Espero que un supervisor se ponga en contacto con nosotros ya que vamos a poner una reclamacion a la Junta de Andalucia.

Un lugar espectacular, genial para realizar cualquier tipo de deporte, un lugar de las mejores vistas

Pensé que este lugar era excepcional. La comida, el alojamiento y el personal fueron excelentes.
El campo de golf también era genial, aunque un poco estrecho en algunos lugares. Las instalaciones de práctica fueron realmente buenas.

Gran casa club e instalaciones de práctica (especialmente juego corto), aunque es muy caro practicar juego largo a 1 euro por 8 bolas
El campo es un gran campo en el desierto, sin embargo, las condiciones no eran tan buenas como esperaba (parece un poco descuidado en algunos lugares). Green y calles geniales.
Me decepcionó un poco el hoyo 18. Parece que recientemente agregaron 4 palmeras nuevas, sin embargo, las colocaron directamente frente al tee de damas, lo que hace que el hoyo sea completamente injugable, muy extraño.

Campo de golf espectacular. Caro, pero impresionante. Es desafiante en prácticamente cada golpe. Penaliza los errores. Se agradece el buggy.

Un sitio precioso! Entorno sin igual! Hacía años que no iba y la experiencia de volver ha sido buenísima, además, de casualidad había música en directo y fue genial! Un ambiente precioso. La camarera que nos atendió, creo recordar que su nombre es Selina, fue simplemente maravillosa: profesional, atenta, servicial, amable y pendiente en todo momento de que estuviéramos cómodos, y todo ello con una sonrisa. Gracias!

Este es un lugar hermoso, pero las opciones de comida lo decepcionaron. No ofrecen muchas opciones vegetarianas o veganas. Ellos también
espere que los veganos paguen la misma cantidad de dinero que todos los demás en su Rock and Roast a pesar de la falta de opciones y básicamente solo se les ofrece sopa y ensalada.muy de mala calidad.

Un resort con campo de golf, bastante bonito, piscinas, restaurantes. Sorprende porque está en medio de la nada. Varias cosas mejorables si yo fuese el director del complejo: 1) El restaurante "gourmet". Nosotros pedimos entrecot de carne de vaca vieja madurada y recibimos un entrecot que no llegaba al cm de grosor, el precio de cada entrecot fue de +-35 eur. Mejor opción sería cobrar más y servir al menos 500gr o 1kg para dos personas y cobrar lo que corresponda. 2) El check in se hace a las 16: 00 y el check out a las 10: 00? ! Y el desayuno "gourmet" el desayuno inglés vino con dos rebanadas de pan de molde y una tostada de la carta que se llamaba "selección de mantequillas y mermeladas" nos trajeron mantequilla envasadas de esas de los vuelos y la mermelada también, un poco "cutre" Para terminar, me gustaría decir que cenando, entre las entradas y el plato principal, tardaron unos 45 min.

A rather beautiful resort with a golf course, delightful pools, and charming restaurants. It's quite surprising, considering its remote location. If I were to assume the role of the resort's director, I would suggest a couple of improvements:

The so-called "gourmet" restaurant left much to be desired. We ordered aged prime rib steak, and what we received was a mere centimeter thin, hardly justifying its price of approximately 35 euros per serving. A superior approach would be to charge more but serve at least 500 grams or 1 kilogram for two people, and appropriately adjust the cost.

The check-in time at 4: 00 PM and the check-out time at 10: 00 AM seem rather inconvenient, don't you think? Moreover, the so-called "gourmet" English breakfast consisted of two slices of packaged sandwich bread and a single toast labeled as the "selection of butters and jams. " Quite underwhelming, I must say, given the resort's stature.

Lastly, during dinner, the wait time between starters and main courses extended to approximately 45 minutes, which could use some improvement.

This is a beautiful place but the food choices let it down. They do not offer many vegetarian or vegan choices and they expect vegans to pay the same amount of money as everyone else despite the lack of choice Very shoddy.

Really enjoyed the course and the club house.
Only disappointment was we were unable to get a decent rate for a 3 ball, given that the course was definitely not busy.
Don't see why we should pay a premium during your quiet times not good business sense and has delayed a return visit. If the course is quiet you should be reducing the rate to encourage extra rounds.

I played golf at desert springs because this course was very good rated on the golf guide app. And I have to say: it‘s true! This is a very nice golf course with extremely good fairways and fantastic greens.

The course is really nice and has some challenges.
The reason to reduce the rating, is a club tournaments taking place the day we played. It took to 6 hours (we had that multiple times) which is a bad pace of play.
You get out of flow and the fun is reduced a lot. I would expect a club to control this and enforce a certain playing speed. Especially for club members (as this was a club tournament).

For the context: we've been there 6 times and out of that 4 rounds where really nice and fun. Be aware that tournament might be slow there.

Es un sitio precioso y magnífico para vivir para pasar el día con la familia o simplemente relajarte.
Tenemos una casa allí dese hace años y pasamos unos fines de semana súper tranquilos y sin ruido.
Hay buenos restaurantes y piscinas.
Además de ser un buen sitio para juzgar al golf.

Had a lovely breakfast on the deck. Could not have been better. Lovely service, clean and tidy.

Bien caché, au milieu de nul part, le golf de Désert Spring vous attend.
Nous l avons découvert par hasard, il y a quelques années, où nous nous étions régalés à plusieurs reprises dans le restaurant principal.
Cette année, il était en travaux lors de notre venue en mai. (Quel dommage!)
Nous sommes donc allés à l autre restaurant situé en hauteur: cadre exotique avec piscine. Bon repas.
Jolis terrains (non testés).
Cadre fort sympathique.
Forte communauté britannique parmi les clients.

Glad we played it, but probably not again.

Tees greens and bunkers are the main attributes to a golf course.
The tees were in good condition and looked significantly better than the rest of the course, so presume new investment here.
The bunkers had consistent sand which I admire but the terrible definition of them made them look like a cheap public golf course which detracted from the aesthetics of the greens.

The greens themselves were just ok, not the courses fault but the pitch marks were appalling and we played early!
I got a stiff back doing repairs when I could. The first green was worst I have ever seen,
There was a members comp following us and I didn’t see a player doing any repairs, but the quality of the players was a bit hacking style which may be the answer,
Surprised some of them were not spoke to from the Marshall.
Speed Of play was ok, even though it was busy.
The course tested us well, playing decent golf standard, not a course for someone who can’t get it in the air off the tees, take plenty of golf balls!
The warm up Practise areas were not bad, 10 balls for 1 euro. I do prefer grass practise areas, which is more maintenance for sure but is more common in Spain nowadays.

The ladies at the check in and buggy office were polite and efficient.
The buggy lady seemed to treble up as Marshall and drinks snacks seller.
She was very pleasant - she was doing a great job,
The dynamic of sand, rough and green space was fun, except the green parts were disappointing in areas.
If you play the excellent Aguillon GC about 30- 40 minutes away you will see a totally different lush green mixed with desert landscape, maybe the water limits effect this.

It’s miles from any where and not a great drive so not my bag for staying as the name suggests it’s desert isolation.
Had a coffee on the terrace and it did seem like ‘Little England with a touch of Dutch’ so was glad to get back to the Spanish village we were staying in polo del esparto away from Brits abroad.
Try a restaurant here called la frontera? Best Spanish and classic, rustic local food.

Did have a nice lunch in Vera playa about 15 minutes away - lua Porto something? Finer dining Spanish food

It’s not expensive to play here, so you get what you pay for so worth a try but a considerably better experience at Aguillon shouldn’t be missed with similar pricing.

Excellent greens and several narrow fairways but rough very punishing and in many places unplayable.
Nice set up in Club House and attractive surroundings.
High Handicap golfers would struggle here but it is a 'must play' Course.

Rubbish. 6 hour round because there is no forgiveness. Left or right of the fairway is nothing but trouble. But people looking for their balls in cactus, scrub, wasteland and bushes. Omg. Looks nice but don't be fooled. Bar too expensive. 18 euro for 3beers and 1 coke.same price, go to aguilon golf. Much nice

Terrain bien entretenu mais trop compliqué à jouer. Nous étions 12 et le constat était unanime.

Excellent stay at Desert Springs. Loved the villa and swimming pool. Golf course was amazing, a real treat to play on such a great course. The gym facilities were good as well and we also enjoyed The Crocodile Club. Very relaxing, great weather, food and drink. Altogether a fantastic stay.

Championship course on DP tour, very challenging course for my capabilities, thourghly enjoyed it though, went round twice. Obviously not on the same day, recommend you hire a buggy.super friendly staff both on and off the course. Food very good. Looking forward to going back in october

Un sitio espectacular, música en directo, el trato del personal muy profesional y la comida espectacular.

Es la segunda vez que nos alojamos en una de las villas. A parte de la tranquilidad, la discreción de cada rincón. El campo está muy bien cuidado, eso sí es un campo exigente.

La atención de tod@s los empleados es exquisita No falta detalle en todo momento.
Hemos desayunado todos los días en el Cocodrilo bar. El desayuno exquisito pero sobretodo la atención cada día de Mª Dolores y el resto del equipo de camareros y camareras es de 10.

Volveremos seguro. Gracias por hacer que nuestra semana de relax haya sido tan buena.

Myself and three friends visited this resort last weekend, this was our 6th year. We found the golf course to be in excellent condition and as always challenging! You will not get bored playing this course to often. We found the accommodation fantastic. But over all it was the staff that made our holiday the service was excellent especially when we had breakfast.

Nice course, shame greens were a bit off due to hollow tine, you do need to be very accurate or trouble beckons on the hard pan, food in restaurant was superb

Lovely course, really challenging, nice facilities, the changing rooms are top notch, the main resteraunt is being refurbished but there is another onsite which was pretty good, all in all we enjoyed the trip very much.

Sigo diciendo más de lo mismo, para irse del mundanal ruido y te encuentras casi el mismo mundanal pero sin ruido, a disfrutar.

Played golf with forum society, didn't win any prize's, but it was a brilliant day's golf, I thought the course was excellent

Excellent facilities. The golf course is a serious challenge with errant shots being costly. Bring one old club for hard pan shots. The apartment was comfortable with suitable facilities. The resort is tidy, clean and the gardens are attractive. The staff were all attentive and the service of a high standard. Everyone is proud of the product and it shows. Practice facilities are superb. An excellent holiday for us.
