Diving Into the Blue

Recientemente tuve el placer de bucear con el Centro de Buceo Into the Blue en Málaga con la excursión a Gibraltar, y no puedo elogiarlos lo suficiente por su excelente servicio y hospitalidad. Gracias a Lewis por coordinar el viaje. Son el único centro de buceo en España con licencia para bucear en Gibraltar. Todo el equipo, especialmente el instructor Arvis y el divemaster Quentin, mostraron un nivel de profesionalismo que hizo que mi experiencia de buceo fuera realmente memorable.

Desde el momento en que llegué, el personal de Into the Blue me hizo sentir bienvenido y se aseguró de que estuviera bien informado y preparado para la inmersión. El instructor no sólo era altamente capacitado sino también paciente y amable, lo que creaba un ambiente de aprendizaje cómodo y agradable.

Ambiente agradable, gran organización y buceo fantástico. Estoy deseando bucear el día siguiente con ellos. EDITAR (verano de 2023) : debido a nuestra experiencia inicial como buceadores calificados, decidimos usarlos nuevamente para inscribir a mi hijo en un curso de aguas abiertas para jóvenes. Hizo la máquina de burbujas la primera vez y le encantó. Hablé con el centro para preguntar cómo sería bucear en Semana Santa porque estábamos preocupados por el frío y me dijeron que debería estar bien. Después de desembolsar 395e para el curso, aprobó la teoría con gran éxito. Aquí fue donde empezaron los problemas. En la primera experiencia en aguas abiertas, el centro claramente esperaba agua fría, ya que estaba completamente equipado con mascarilla y guantes. No hay entrenamiento inicial en piscina, por lo que la primera experiencia para un niño de 10 años fue limpiar la máscara en el mar a 14 grados, lo que resultó en una única inmersión de 5 minutos y luego un día abortado. El segundo día nos aseguraron que sería mejor en La Herradura pero tuvimos una experiencia similar. Hablamos con el centro sobre cómo se podría resolver esto y después de algunas conversaciones incómodas organizamos un viaje de regreso en el verano, pero para entonces ya era demasiado tarde; nuestro hijo ya no se sentía cómodo yendo al mar, así que en el primer intento de la visita de regreso, ni siquiera se metía en el mar más allá de los tobillos, lo cual es un problema que ahora tenemos que resolver. Intentamos discutir más después de pasar un tiempo buceando para superar el obstáculo, pero la conversación con el centro se volvió cada vez más difícil. Ahora parece que la formación teórica que contaba para su expediente caducará antes de que tengamos la oportunidad de completar la formación en otro centro, momento en el que realmente no tendremos nada que mostrar por el coste del curso. El centro nunca debería haber aceptado la formación de Semana Santa para un niño de 10 años. Como buceadores cualificados deberíamos haber conocido mejor las condiciones del mar en esa época del año, pero confiamos en el consejo del centro, que afirmó que probablemente todo estaría bien. Como visitantes habituales de la zona, nos sentimos decepcionados por no volver a utilizarlos. La estrella extra es para los instructores, sin embargo, quienes fueron brillantes dadas las circunstancias, el problema se debe exclusivamente a lo que parece ser una decisión comercial de aceptar el registro inicial de Pascua y luego los pobres e incómodos intentos de rectificar el error inicial.

Buen centro de buceo. Muy atentos y amables. Las inmersiones en Marina del este estuvieron muy bien y el guía Quentin muy bueno! Sin duda, volveremos!

Gente profesional y agradable! Entré en pánico la primera vez y necesitaba romper, pero me dieron un segundo intento con paciencia y salió todo bien. Volverá:)

Maravilloso lugar y gente. No he buceado por un tiempo, pero Joe y Rasmus me ayudaron mucho, tuve inmersiones fantásticas con Rasmus y estoy bastante seguro de que si está buscando una compañía para bucear, entonces estos muchachos son imprescindibles. ¡Muchas gracias!

Honestamente, la mejor experiencia de mi vida, para un principiante no puedo esperar para hacerlo de nuevo. Mi pareja y yo siempre hemos querido hacer esto (tenía un poco de miedo), pero Elenor, una de las instructoras, fue un ángel absoluto, me hizo sentir tan a gusto como una dama encantadora. Casi no puedo agradecer lo suficiente a Tim, un hombre tan encantador que es increíble en lo que hace. Definitivamente regresaremos antes de regresar a casa. ¡No podría recomendar a estos chicos lo suficiente!

Did the 'Discover Scuba Diving @ the Marine Reserve' course today with my partner. We left at 9am and were driven to a Marine Reserve' an hour away. From there we checked our kit, got kitted up and headed to the ocean to do some basic training. We then conducted our dive and got to see some of the great local sealife. Returning around 3pm.

Our guide, Brian, was really friendly, patient, and made sure I was comfortable throughout the dive. Would recommend going to the Marine Reserve as the water was much calmer than the local beach so there was a higher visibility. Overall a great experience with great company. Thanks for the brilliant day!

An amazing first time scuba diving experience.

We entered the premises at the beginning of our trip and were greeted by a lovely enthusiastic lad who got us all booked up within minutes.

On the morning, we met outside the store where a bus awaited to take us to Marina Del Este, the trip took roughly 1 and a half hours.

When we got to the dive location I couldn't believe how gorgeous it was.

We had Brian as our instructor and he was fantastic. As it was our first time he was aware that I was nervous but was extremely calm, patient and explanatory.

As soon as you start descending the breathing becomes natural and you get distracted by all the lovely fishies surrounding you.

It's an experience of a lifetime and I cannot wait to return. I would recommend to anyone to give it a go and especially with Diving into the Blue.

Just completed my 2 Open Water certification. It was a tough day 1 but so glad that it was rigorous and they truly made me master all the required skills. Irina was my dive instructor and she was fantastic - thorough, clear, and patient! She has a real passion that comes through the way she leads. Highly recommend Diving into the Blue.

Well where to begin. I contacted Lewis at Into the Blue diving just a few weeks ago to book a discover dive for me and my partner. I'm a certified diver but my partner isn't and she wanted to try it. Well she loved it and we've already booked a open water course in the UK so we can go back out with these guys in October with us both certified! Lewis was a great instructor and made my partner feel very comfortable and at ease, talked her through everything first then once in the water he explained everything that was done while in the water before doing it. But.on top of the amazing diving instruction. I had arranged with Lewis a few weeks before that while on this diving trip, I would propose to my partner underwater! Well when me and Lewis discussed this on WhatsApp the idea really took off! Lewis told his team and they were all excited to get involved! The whole team went above and beyond to make it a romantic proposal while underwater! They brought boards to write messages on underwater, ie the question. They even provided strawberries chocolates flowers champagne and a table and chairs for a between dive celebration! I could not have asked more of them, we will definitely be back and will recommend anyone who wants to dive abroad to go to Into the Blue! But more importantly. SHE SAID YES! And Lewis and his team caught it all on video!

Three fantastic days, 2 days local and 1 day in Gibraltar. Very professional service, equipment is top class and they know the area well. Will definitely be back again and would highly recommend.

I would like to thank Into the Blue for a good days diving. I am a 62 year old BSAC diver that was given a good welcome. I went on a scenic dive and even though I was too light and have not dived in a wetsuit for a while I had a great time. Thanks to Irina and all at Into the Blue.

Spent 2 days diving with these guys and hd a great time!

Dive gear was really good but the wetsuits, boots etc had a lot of holes in them.

1st day we diving at the Marina del Este was a good day. Diving there is ok but certainly not worth coming to Costa del Sol just to dive there.
2nd day down to Gibraltar was fantastic though! Easy process and journey to get down there and the diving was incredible! The trip to Gibraltar gets 5 stars for me.

Staff were absolutely amazing. Serena on check in was very helpful. Diving with Alex the first day was great, really personable guy and handled a few tense situations really well. Diving with Brian on the 2nd day was brilliant too. Knowledgeable diver, great fun, lots of energy and really showed off the diving spot.

I had three dives with Sarah Lipson and did most of the arrangements/communications with Lewis. I was met with a high level of professionalism, welcoming care, and experience. The team members at Into the Blue clearly know what they're doing and I would highly recommend them. Thanks for everything!

Being an experienced diver for nearly 20 years, I've always dreamt of a career as a professional diver. After what were supposed to be just a few fun dives, Into The Blue offered me to join them on their Divemaster Traineeship (DMT). This gave me the opportunity to work alongside great instructors, to learn everything about teaching, and the ins and outs of running a dive business.

The Master Instructor who leads the dive center, has been immensely involved in my development towards becoming a PADI Professional: essential knowledge development, valuable classroom presentations, workshops, diving skills and teaching techniques

After years of diving with numerous dive centers, I would absolutely recommend Into The Blue. Amazing instructors for any level of SCUBA and fantastic support if you decide to go Pro!

The Best dive center on Costa del Sol! Last year I was looking for a dive center to get PADI Rescue course. The best experience I had! I am so happy I chose this dive center to complete my open water and open water advanced. Lewis did everything he could to adjust everything to my plans and make sure I could complete everything with the time I had. They handled my fears with nothing but patience, calmness and encouragement. I am hooked to diving now and will definitely return for further courses. An amazing day with Into the Blue!
We have done 2 fun dives in the Almunecar Marina Reserve and saw plenty of fish, an octopus, a butterfly fish, The club is really human and has human size (we were 3 with 2 professionals). Also there are very friendly, flexible, the reservation is with WhatsApp and they can pick you up in different places in Malaga.
Do not hesitate to dive with them! I will chose them again if I come back!

I was staying in Malaga and having difficulty finding a shop that would do a pickup in town. Lewis and his team picked me up in Malaga, saving me an early bus ride or expensive taxi. We had 2 great dives, saw some beautiful marine life, and did a bit of a scuba gear refresher training. I hope to come back and visit soon!

Thanks for taking us to the beautiful beaches. I saw many sea creatures. Sea cucumbers, octopus, sea urchins, the giant jelly fish. Really enjoyed it.
Carrying the equipment to the shore was the most difficult part and really beyond my ability. But all the instructors kindly helped me with that. Really appreciate that.

Nada puntuales, llegaron mucho después de la hora acordada.
La guía no hablaba bien el idioma y no informaba de nada.
Las fotos que prometen, son un video en el que aparece el fondo del mar y gente a lo lejos haciendo esnorkel (que lo mismo puedes ser tú que cualquier otra persona).
Además, ni te dan recibo del pago ni cobran con tarjeta. Por lo visto, los impuestos que los paguen los demás.

Una muy mala experiencia. Estuvimos hace unos días con nuestro hijo de 13 años y, entre otras cosas que no nos gustaron, tuvimos que cargar con todo el equipo puesto, son aprox. 15 kg (mi hijo también) e ir andando los casi 400 metros que hay hasta la playa. Cuando llegamos, mi hijo estaba destrozado. Sin duda una muy mala experiencia, una mañana de nuestras vacaciones tirada a la basura, eso sin contar los 90€ por persona. No recomendable.

A fuir! Equipe certe sympathique mais avec un grand manque de professionnalisme et surtout de sécurité. En tant que plongeurs autonomes et moniteurs, nous en connaissons les rouages et c'est juste inadmissible de manquer autant de compétence.
- Brief sans contenu, pour ne pas dire inexistant.
- instructeur complètement stressé qui remonte en surface et qui laisse ses 4 autres plongeurs à 8m sans aucune communication.
- balade sous-marine de 15 minutes alors que l autonomie en air et la profondeur nous permettait beaucoup plus.
- des excuses, mais aucun geste commercial pour réparer leurs erreurs.

Great place! I did my PADI open water and advanced open water courses there. We visited three different dive sites in Benalmadena and Nerja. The instructors were not afraid of showing me the sea in all type of conditions: sun, rain, good and visibility, entering the water from the beach and jumping from high rocks, Thanks to Lewis, Timmy, Gabi and all others!

We came to Benalmadena for few fun dives and we ended up additionally doing a rescue diver course with the Into the Blue Team. Lewis was our instructor and he was awesome! He is very passionate about diving and his energy combined with his competence made us feel very comfortable and happy with the choice. The crew including Stephane, Tim and Gabriel was very friendly and professional. Highly recommend for your diving adventures around Malaga!

I came to Into the Blue dive center in October last year as a qualified PADI Divemaster (the first professional level within Scuba) after trying out others on Costa del Sol. My first impressions were great! The facilities are very good, located just a minute away from Benalmadena beach (which is a perfect spot for beginners), and the atmosphere, professionalism and emphasis on safety and fun is exactly what you want from a dive center. We had a couple of dives at Marina del Este, and afterward I was informed that they had a course coming up to become a Scuba Instructor, something that I was already considering.

After I decided to join, Lewis offered me to join the Divemaster interns while they were doing their course in order to refresh and prepare for the Instructor Development Course, which was a big help for me even though I had previously done it years ago.

The course was challenging and fun at the same time. I learned so many valuable things about life, diving and professionalism. Lewis has been the best instructor and mentor I could have asked for. Thank you!

As someone who has dived with many different dive centers in many different countries, I strongly recommend Into the Blue to everyone, no matter the level of experience!

At into the blue I completed my Advanced open water course and could not have been more pleased with my experience, continuing my diving education with them they assured me the confidence and knowledge to successfully complete the course. Arvis my instructor was more than understanding and empathetic to any questions or worries i had. Teaching every fine detail throughout the course, gives you confidence in the water and shows how truly beautiful it can be. I did 5 topics with into the blue, one being a deep dive and having such a professional awesome instructor next to me, not only made me feel safe but made the experience enjoyable, in the water with the team they are more than understanding and patient. Will definitely be furthering my diving education with Into the blue.

Into the blue helped me through my Open Water Diver course and I enjoyed it so much that I am going back to complete my Advanced, All of the instructors are so friendly and work at your pace. The team is a lot of fun and makes learning enjoyable. Throughout the dive the instructors make sure to go through tasks and communication skills thoroughly so that you understand and can master the given task, they guide you through the whole dive so that you can enjoy seeing all marine life and are there if anything goes wrong, I recommend Into the blue for all different age ranges and groups, The sites we dived at for the Open Water Course were beautiful and I feel like I got the best dive I could have had with this school compared to anywhere else on the coast.

I am a 13 year old boy who went diving to do the PADI open water course in the winter. The staff were nice and helpful, and the equipment was phenomenal. We saw octopus and hundrends of fish. It was amazing.

Warm and friendly staff whose attitude reflect the seriousness of what they are offering. A lot of explanation is given. With equipment fitting been given a day before the actual event takes place. But above all this it's the safety drill demonstrated by very knowledgeable staff that gets my vote.thank you Lewis and the team for a great experience, see you again in August.

After 10 years of not diving, went on a refresher course with this company. Lewis the instructor did a fantastic job on regaining my skills and confidence in diving. Fantastic service, good equipment, very thorough on safety, very reasonable prices and a great guy.will definitely be going back.
If I’m going to have a moan, the cafeteria next door ran out of tea.

Nous avons fait 2 plongés en VIP dans le site protégé de la Nerja. C'était vraiment top. Lewis et son équipe sont d'une gentillesse et d'un professionnalisme à tout épreuve. Nous avons pu découvrir les fonds marins jusqu'à 12 mètres, sans avoir de certification. De plus l'offre VIP comprend l'aller retour sur le site (nous résiduons à Málaga). C'est une activité que je conseille de faire!

Safe, professional, technically rewarding and fun. I cannot say enough positive things about my experience diving with Into the Blue; an experience that will now serve as the marker by which I measure future dive shops/professionals.

My sixteen year-old son and I completed a half day excursion which consisted of two recreational dives with Lewis at Marina del Este (two separate locations). From initial WhatsApp communication I immediately knew we were dealing with a professional, top-notch organization and in good hands with Lewis. Some highlights:

- Safety was paramount throughout the day. Zero shortcuts on preparations, equipment, dive planning and supervision.
- Equipment was high quality, serviceable and clean. We rented full kit which Lewis had prepped and staged before we arrived at the shop. Not only was our kit quality, Lewis was prepared (at the dive site) with spare kit should the need arise.
- Training, training, training. These were recreational dives but understanding that we were still relatively inexperienced divers with only Basic Open Water certs, Lewis took every opportunity to ensure we both ended the day stronger, more confident and proficient divers. Through teachable moments and deliberate training, Lewis refreshed basic skills and expanded our knowledge in preparation for more advanced training to come.
- Fun. The entire experience was a blast! Always professional, safe and conscientious that we were clients paying for a service, Lewis kept the day relaxed and entertaining at every turn. One of the reasons I felt we had such a relaxed, good time goes back to the immediate and consistent sense of Into the Blue being a safe and professional operation.
- Value. While I would never advocate for cutting costs or going cheap for any diving activity, I was amazed at what we got for what we paid.

My only regret. I did not allocate enough time during this trip for us to complete the 2-day Advanced Open Water course.

Lastly, not only would I dive with Into the Blue again, I would travel to Malaga for the sole purpose of doing so. Even more to the point, my son is considering becoming a dive professional himself and based on my experience last week, I would send him to Lewis and Into the Blue without hesitation.

Went on a snorkel experience with this dive center a few weeks ago and was satisfied with the whole trip. The booking was all arranged over Whatsapp and the instructor Lewis was amazing from start to finish. The equipment was very well maintained and felt very organized considering how late we arranged the booking the night before!

I would highly recommend Nat, Daniel and Lewis and the team of Into the blue to anyone wanting a unique day out!

Great few days diving with Lewis Hartley this week. I only had a limited time, three days and wanted to get as much diving done as possible. Lewis really went out of his way to take care of me and ensure I had as many dives and best diving experience.
Mid November is way out of season and the weather didn’t cooperate, but Lewis did it. He is s great diver, really knows his stuff, the dive sites like the back of his hand and a top bloke.

I would highly recommend this place.professional staff who quickly taught me how to get down to sea.did not feel worried for a second after the teacher showed me the basics. Go there!

Very professional divers that put the customers in the center. Good transportation, briefing, safe DM leading the dives and delivering all information needed.

We got the package with 2 dives and i t was the beat adventure. I recommend Anna, she was our instructor. She was amazing, friendly, patient and chose the best dive spot dor us.

I did my Deep Diver specialty course with this dive centre in May. Although on the first day of diving the sea conditions were not ideal, I was looked after and supported very well by a fantastic team. Everything went well and I ultimately enjoyed the dives in so beautiful dive sites, especially the Los Tres Picos site. Dive centre staff is extremely friendly and will do everything and beyond for the customers to enjoy the experience.
I would unreservedly recommend Into The Blue Diving for fun dives or training. Special thanks to Anne Groeneveld and Jason Wust.

Fantastic experience. We did the 3 days open water dive course. Staff are very good! We got traning from Anne Groeneveld, she is briliant. Lots of patience she has to scared people, explained very well everything to us. We were on a beautiful beach to dive, 6 times. It was so tireing but worth it. So happy to have the licence.
