Este es mi primer Hermes Baby. ¡Está en buenas condiciones, está limpio y es bonito! realmente ultraportátil, listo para usar. Gracias a Ania de El Granero por realizar un seguimiento del envío, por empaquetarlo de forma segura y darle un toque adicional de envoltorio a tiempo para Navidad. Realmente lo aprecio. Recomiendo ampliamente esta empresa de máquinas de escribir. Les compré mi preciosa máquina de escribir Olivetti hace unos años y me encanta. Cuando los contacté por primera vez, me dieron excelentes consejos sobre la máquina de escribir que se adaptaría a mis necesidades como poeta y escritor. El proceso de pago y entrega fue súper fácil y eficiente. La máquina de escribir venía con garantía y estaba en excelentes condiciones. El año pasado cuando necesité cinta nueva, muy amablemente me enviaron una bobina nueva gratis. Si estás buscando una máquina de escribir, contacta con ellos y no te decepcionarás.

I'm 72 years old in a couple of days.had this identical typewriter when I took a personal typing course as a 12 year old. That typewriter carried me through college and beyond, only replaced by a computer. NOW, I am reliving those early days with a virtually NEW Olivetti Lettera 32 from El Granero. Perfectly clean, lubricated and looks like it left the factory yesterday. I could not be more pleased.sincere thank you for a wonderful product and service. Also, packing was superb and delivery came quickly!

I love my typewriter! It is beautiful and works wonderfully. It came all the way from Spain to Utah, USA, and was packaged with the utmost care and even gift-wrapped under all the bubble wrap. The team at Typewriter Company was very helpful and responsive.

Quality of the typewriters you can buy here is simply exceptional, they look and feel like brand new (possibly even better). On top of that, Ania and Jacek are absolutely amazing people, I definitely recommend their shop!

As a fellow tech in the typewriter industry, I've always harbored a strong admiration of ElGranero Typewriter! Over the years I've come to know both the people and the machines and leave utterly impressed after each and every interaction. Not only do they specialize in top-notch repair work, but their customer service conveys a genuine care and passion for the trade-a rare trait these days. So to anyone in Europe needing typewriter stuff done, take it from me that these are the folks to go to.

I was stuck with a magnificent Olivetti Graphika typewriter, which had one if its grooved rollers bent and I looked everywhere to find a replacement. Finally I received a message from El Granero, from Jacek and Ania, that they had a Lexicon spare machine that used the same rollers. For a fair price and extremely fast shipping from Spain (to California) I got the piece I needed to complete one of my dream machines. They very courteous and prompt in responding, and very knowledgable about all the different Olivetti models and parts. I highly recommend their service and expertise if you are in need for parts or just a beautiful and masterly restored typewriter from their store.

Exactly the parts we needed to complete two Restorations on machines here in the states. They were amazingly rapid with response and shipping the parts out. I can't say enough about their service and parts. I'll be reaching back out to them for any other parts that I don't currently have available in my shop. UNBELIEVABLE quality and friendly, responsive customer service. If you want a unique, custom typewriter there's no one better in the industry! I am so thrilled with my chrome Hermes Baby with mint green keys - cannot recommend El Granero enough!

Very professional. Small issue with delivery, item arrived broken due to carrier, panic ground but not with El Granero. Super friendly, they arranged everything to have it returned, repaired and delivered without additional costs in no time. Also, the physical shop is a place to check out (don't forget to check out, though.:).

I placed an order July 16th and was told to pay for a typewriter via "friends and family" through PayPal. Unfortunately, this means I have little to no ability to get my money back from them! They have not sent the typewriter I paid over $1300 for, and flatly refuse to provide any tracking details, etc.to prove otherwise. Now they have stopped even responding to my e-mails. They seemed so very nice and accommodating when I first asked them about the typewriter, so I am not sure why this has become such a disaster. I had really wonderful expectations based on the other reviews of this company. Buyer beware!

UPDATE: Now almost 20 weeks and the seller STILL refuses to refund! No tracking details were ever provided, and no typewriter arrived. If you buy from these guys, be prepared to not receive a typewriter- and lose all your $$.

Update 1/12: Wow. Letters from lawyers, and 2 lost claims for non-payment of required refunds later and they are STILL withholding one of my three payments from me. No typewriter; no tracking details to show they ever mailed it. I have no recourse. BUYER BEWARE. These are dishonest people. If there is a problem with your order (if you ever receive it) you will not get your money back.

Why won't you refund me when you know I don't have this typewriter? !

I'm thrilled with my new typewriter and it's the 4th from the El Granero team! They are all in excellent shape, beautifully refurbished and look as brand new. Ania and Jacek always answer all my questions very promptly, they're knowledgeable and very passionate about their job, always offer advice and technical support. All the typewriters were beautifully and securely packed for overseas 8000km transit. I've already ordered two more for my family for Christmas and I literally can't wait! Thank you very much Ania and Jacek, you're the best!

I love the travel Hermes I bought from these folks at the start of the pandemic. I didn't know back then how much I would be using it. I recently took it to someone to get it serviced, and he said it was in perfect condition. I'm also so pleased to see that they sell typewriters that accommodate many languages across the world. What a beautiful and encouraging sight. I'm so grateful El Granero Typewriter Company is preserving and making these instruments available. An absolutely lovely typewriter and lovely company!

By far the most painful online shopping experience!
I don’t usually do posts like this but I really do not wish for anyone to go through what I am going through.

I started collecting refurbished old typewriters this year and have been purchasing from all over the world. I like collecting typewriters with special fonts like italic and script. I wrote to a company on Etsy call El Granero from Malaga Spain whom I have been following on Etsy to ask if they have any script font typewriter. To cut the long story short, I made the purchase on 12 September 2020 outside of Etsy and bought through their website (big mistake because I am not as protected and can’t leave them reviews).

When I received my “refurbished” typewriter I was really dissapointed, I paid €760 for it. The paint on the typewriter looked like it didn’t dry properly before they pack it. The keys were not adjusted and leveled, the carriage wasn’t even painted! (They actually tried telling me the carriage can’t be painted, but when I checked with my other sellers, they all agreed carriage is paintable if you take it apart) Please see photos.

I was really unhappy and I tried to ask for a refund. El Granero then promise to repaint it and give me an upgrade to a stainless steel carriage. I went to through the hassle of packing the typewriter and arranging for shipping etc.

They received the typewriter on 3rd Nov after being in Spanish custom for almost 2 weeks and since then I had to message them almost every week to ask for update and photos. Every time I was promise “will send photos tomorrow”. Their communication was really poor.

Anyway fast forward a month later.when the machine is somewhat ready to be sent back to me. I asked El Granero to make sure I don’t have to pay taxes on the machine since I already paid the first time (over €80). They said this was between me and customs, and I should have the invoice from the first time. As the vendor I expected them to give me a solution on this, they should have known what to do and how to declare the item as a repair to make sure I don’t pay double taxes.

When I voice out my anger and frustration on how painful this whole experience it has been, the owner lashed out at me and insist on refunding me (not in full because I asked for a color change) because I have been a painful customer by insisting on not paying taxes the second time. Then he went on to accuse me of not paying taxes the first time. Which is so silly because if he checked with DHL, I am sure the record is there, Malaysian customs will not let me have the goods if I didn’t pay taxes. I didn’t keep the paperwork because I didn’t think I have to!

I honestly from the bottom of my heart hope no one else go through what I am going through. This typewriter was meant to be my 14th wedding anniversary gift from my husband but it has really turned out to be a disaster. We have no choice but to receive the repainted typewriter because they wanted to charge EURO 248 for shipping and repainting. Refuse to give us a full refund.

I really haven’t met such terrible online retailer like them.

BTW, they still owe me 2 typewriter covers which I paid for in Sept 2020 which they claimed they have sent it without any proof.

I was so happy to receive my off-white — original rare color — Olivetti Pluma 22. Before it came, from the moment I had purchased it, Ania was in almost daily contact with me, which was reassuring. Her personal approach, and vast knowledge of typewriters, made me confident that everything would be well and it was money well spent. One the machine got to me, the first thing I did was write her a quick note on it. It was as pleasurable as I’d hoped. Afterwards I continued to work on it for a couple of hours and didn’t want to stop. It’s such a well-made, and refurbished to “like new” condition, that every day I look forward to working on it. Thank you so much. Your attention to every detail is exemplary. I’d be more than happy to buy another typewriter from you when the time comes.

When I saw this typewriter I fell in love, and now that I am typing on it, I'm so unbelievably happy. The seller was very communicative throughout the process, from selecting a machine, delivery, and answering questions when the typewriter arrived. Highly recommended!
