Gran recorrido por los pueblos blancos! En primer lugar, Ivan fue extremadamente comunicativo y servicial a la hora de organizar el recorrido adecuado para nosotros con el tiempo que teníamos disponible. El día del recorrido, nuestro conductor y guía nos estaban esperando y listos para partir. Lilly fue una guía maravillosa, agradable, conocedora y enamorada de su tierra natal. Tuvimos un tiempo tan divertido y único explorando los pueblos. ¡Parecía que solo éramos nosotros en los pueblos todo el tiempo!

Solo tengo cosas buenas que decir sobre Genuine Andulasia. Había reservado 3 viajes con ellos, un viaje de un día a Granada y Ronda más un recorrido a pie por Málaga. Mi experiencia durante 3 días fue maravillosa. David me recogió puntualmente en mi hotel de Málaga y me llevó a donde tenía que estar en un coche limpio. Mis guías turísticos (Edu en Granada, Manuel en Ronda e Isabel en Málaga) fueron increíbles y bien informados. Tratar con Iván fue fácil y sin problemas: muchas gracias a Iván por organizar todo en mi nombre. Hacer estos recorridos fue una excelente manera de ver diferentes partes de Andalucía. Recomiendo encarecidamente utilizar este servicio confiable.

Bueno, acabo de hablar por teléfono con mi hija de 27 años que en este momento aterrizó en LAX de sus viajes por la hermosa Europa durante un mes y ¿lo primero que dijo? "Mamá, la semana contigo en España fue la mejor parte de todo el viaje". ¿Por qué? ¡Auténtica Andalucía! Después de que eligiera Sevilla de forma un tanto arbitraria como destino para que mis dos hijas y yo viajáramos este mes de julio, descubrimos que julio en Sevilla hace mucho calor. Nos preocupamos un poco. El calor nunca nos molestó por un minuto y le doy a Iván y su personal la mayor parte del crédito. Más allá del calor, ¡le doy a Iván/Auténtica Andalucía todo el crédito por una de nuestras vacaciones favoritas de todos los tiempos! El toque personal comienza con una reunión de zoom con Iván. Ivan es conocedor, profesional, honesto, cariñoso, amable y amistoso. ¡Mi entusiasmo por la región de Andalucía comenzó durante esa reunión de zoom debido al vasto conocimiento y la pasión de Iván por los lugares que queríamos visitar! Para Ivan era muy importante que mis niñas y yo tuviéramos el itinerario perfecto para nosotros. Iván nos proporcionó conductores desde y hacia el aeropuerto, Córdoba y Cádiz. Todos fueron muy profesionales y nos sentimos seguros y protegidos con ellos. Nuestros guías, Manuel, Ángela, Lily e Ivan, fueron todos agradables, extremadamente informados e interesantes, ¡y divertidos! Dieron vida a los lugares para nosotros. Esta zona del mundo es rica en historia y cultura y la gente es encantadora. Primero nos quedamos en Sevilla, donde Manuel nos honró a través de los sitios del patrimonio mundial, nos llevó a nuestra fabulosa chef Amelia para una clase de cocina y luego, otro día, a tapas locales y flamenco. Nos educó y entretuvo bajo el calor de la bella Sevilla. Conocimos a Ángela, extraordinaria historiadora del arte, en Córdoba con su fascinante historia, y recorrimos la judería y la increíble Gran Mezquita. Mis hijas tienen 27 y 25 años. La historia y las giras no son el ambiente de mi hija de 27 años y esperábamos que hiciera lo suyo ese día. Conoció a Angela y TODOS estábamos pegados a su lado escuchando con fascinación cómo traía los personajes de la historia a la vida "presente" en sus historias. Iván nos recibió en Jerez y nos presentó el negocio de jerez de Jaime y su familia. No sabíamos prácticamente nada sobre el jerez, pero ahora realmente lo entendemos y lo disfrutamos. Ivan sabe mucho sobre toda España y tiene un gran amor por los viajes y la gente, por lo que fue el catalizador para que nos enamoráramos de esta región. De allí nos dirigimos a la encantadora ciudad costera de Cádiz donde conocimos a Lily. Lily es una local bien versada y mundana que es tan querida por los lugareños como lo es su amor por Cádiz y su historia es muy profunda y rica. Este es el primer viaje en mucho tiempo que estaba triste por irme y definitivamente planeo regresar. Es un área encantadora en sí misma, pero comprender verdaderamente la historia, la cultura, las comidas, el estilo de vida, los monumentos, etc.de los lugareños conocedores, amigables y apasionados es el verdadero cambio de juego aquí. Recomendaré a Ivan y su tripulación a todos mis amigos viajeros, y solo lo usaré cuando regrese a España, ¡en cualquier lugar de España! ¡VALE CADA CENTAVO!

Semana increíble en el País Vasco y una excursión a Biarritz Francia y San Juan de Luz. Ivan organizó excelentes guías y conductores. Juan, nuestro guía en San Sebastián, era cocinero y Susana en Bilbao era historiadora del arte. Ambos son de sus regiones y están llenos de conocimiento y pasión. Eso hizo toda la diferencia en la gira. Fue una experiencia personalizada que apreciaremos durante mucho tiempo.

This was our second time to utilize the amazing services of Ivan. He was our guide in 2017. We went on a behind the scenes tour in Seville and it was a fabulous experience of offbeat places, fascinating history and wonderful food and wine. We were fans for life! We scheduled a trip for 2019 to tour the white villages with Ivan. Sadly, covid delayed our trip twice, but Ivan told us that he would hold our deposit for as long as it took for us to feel safe in rescheduling. For 4 long years, the vision of the white villages and Ivan's wonderful tour suggestions kept us focused on the future. In February 2023, we arrived in Malaga, the first part of a multi-city, multi- tour trip that Ivan developed for us based on our input. Malaga was in-depth tour of the Picasso Museum, the food market with several tastings of food and sherry, the Roman theater and a wonderful lunch of tapas. Lourdes was very knowledgeable and guided us through the tapas menu allowing us to be more confident in our future ordering choices. The next day, we took the train to Cadiz where we were met by Ivan. We spent the day learning the fascinating history, walking the old city, enjoying some more sherry and tapas and ending up at a great neighborhood restaurant before we took the train back to Jerez. Day 3 we were met by Ivan at our hotel, where the front desk had already let us know that we had absolutely the best guide in Jerez (!), and off we went to walk in the inner city and then spend the day with Ivan's friends, literally, we felt like we had been adopted by Ivan's friends for the day. The first was the owner of a 3 generation family owned bodega where we had a private tasting of many different sherries and learned so much about how they are made and how many years they are in barrels and the history of how the family had gotten into the sherry business. And yes, we found some we really liked, to our surprise. Then off to a couple who grow the grapes just outside the city in a wonderful rural area. They welcomed us into their home and we enjoyed more tasting, walking in the vineyards, and a wonderful home-cooked meal.enough for an army! What a fabulous day.goodbye to Ivan, but we will see him again, there is no doubt. Last trip that was arranged was to the white villages. We were picked up by Lily and a driver. Lily actually lives in one of the white villages. She was a wonderful guide and took us to 3 of the villages, we walked the narrow streets, she explained so much of the history, took us to her favorite viewpoints, and, of course, a fabulous lunch. A great day and after 4 years, we finally got to realize my 4 year dream of visiting the white villages. Once again, Ivan had gone above and beyond to make our trip truly memorable and wonderfully personalized. Can't wait to figure out what part of Andalusia still remains to be explored through another wonderful trip. Highly recommend!

Todo salió a la perfección. Las recomendaciones de Ivan basadas en nuestras preferencias fueron perfectas. Antes de nuestro viaje a Andalucía, también nos puso en contacto con un guía en Barcelona que fue maravilloso y nos dio una gran idea de la ciudad y los alrededores. Y después de que nos dirigimos a Andalucía, salimos con una buena comprensión de la gran belleza y la notable historia de esta parte del mundo. Esta vez el foco es el norte de España y las grandes ciudades como Barcelona, ​​Madrid y Sevilla.

El norte de España tiene un paisaje, cultura, gente, comida muy diferente. En el camino hacia el norte visitamos Toledo, Segovia, Avlia y Salamanca, incluyendo Sevilla y Santiago de Compostela en la última parte del viaje, hemos visto muchas catedrales góticas importantes, estas ciudades son encantadoras, brillantes, interesantes, con muchos para oferta, el tiempo simplemente no es suficiente. La rica historia de moros, judíos, católicos, capas de capas de monumentos, la sinagoga más antigua de Europa, pinturas de El Greco, historias sobre peregrinaciones, mucho para asimilar y digerir. Si bien la cultura es abundante, la comida también es increíble en todas las ciudades, con la orientación adecuada, a pesar de la gran cantidad de turistas, todavía hay restaurantes auténticos, tanto modernos como tradicionales.

El País Vasco es muy diferente al sur de España y a las grandes ciudades de allí. Los pueblos de la costa son tranquilos y encantadores; el norte es muy muy verde cuando llueve, la frescura del aire y la nitidez de las escenas son impresionantes. Si bien hicimos nuestra parte de los restaurantes con estrellas Michelin allí, Arzak en San Sebastián se destacó, los servicios fueron impecables, la comida es una mezcla de lo tradicional con un toque moderno, no acabada sino perfecta, la chef Elena saluda a todos y es muy atractiva. Si bien los restaurantes con estrellas Michelin pueden ser impredecibles, pero los productos en euskera nunca decepcionan; tuvimos nuestra mejor merluza a la parrilla y calamares en tinta negra en Piper’ en Txokoa, un pequeño pueblo de Mutriku, su sabor lo recordaré por un larguísimo, los bogavantes negros, la ternera local son excepcionales por decir lo menos.

Visitar una de las tiendas de jamón más antiguas de Barcelona, ​​aprender historia romana y judía en los barrios antiguos, simplemente significa que la ciudad todavía tiene mucho más que ofrecer incluso después de muchas visitas. Visitar Prado con nuestro increíble y experto guía Pablo, quien (y su equipo) también hicieron recientemente una decoración de la fachada principal de Prado, significa que Prado, el Museo Thyssen tiene más tesoros encantadores por descubrir, y siempre algo nuevo que aprender.

Si bien visitamos Andalucía hace un tiempo, Carmona fue una ciudad que visitamos por primera vez, Ecija es otra joya; tranquilo y con 11 torres, ya que tienen muchas iglesias y conventos en este pequeño pueblo, simplemente significa que actualmente está sin descubrir.

¡Recaredo Copinnat le pone un nuevo significado al Cava y al vino biodinámico! Copinnat no es algo que se encuentre fácilmente fuera de España, pero el vino brindará una experiencia nueva y distintiva para las burbujas, ¡especialmente cuando lo pruebe en su viñedo!

Iván de Geunine Andalucía nos llevó por el sur hace unos años, lo volvimos a conectar con la esperanza de que nos lleve por el norte también, pero lo hizo mejor, planeó todo el viaje para nosotros, tanto el norte como los principales ciudades, solo deseamos que comience a expandirse a otras ciudades europeas también, de esa manera viajar significa cero problemas y lo más importante de todo, las mejores guías para llevarlo a ver lo que desea.

Lo único que añadiré es que Iván podría replantearse el nombre de su empresa, ya que es capaz de planificar toda España, no solo Andalucía.

¡Más allá de nuestras expectativas!

Mi esposo, yo y nuestros dos hijos (de 11 y 14 años) acabamos de regresar de 10 días en España, planeados por Genuine Andalucía. No puedo comenzar a explicar qué maravilloso viaje planeó Ivan para nosotros y el nivel de detalle, atención y cuidado que brindó. Hemos viajado mucho y el servicio que recibí de Ivan fue el mejor que he recibido. Se lo recomendaré a todos los que conozco que viajen a España. Desde el principio, cuando hablamos a través de Zoom sobre lo que buscábamos, hasta su correo electrónico para asegurarnos de que llegáramos a casa a salvo, estuvo al tanto de cada detalle y se aseguró de que nuestro viaje fuera perfecto. Cada conductor y guía turístico fue fantástico, rápido y bien informado. ¡Cada recorrido y actividad se planeó pensando en nuestra familia y la pasamos de maravilla! Hicimos recorridos privados por muchos sitios históricos (Parque Güell, La Sagrada Familia, Alhambra, etc.), un recorrido de tapas en el que nos presentaron pequeños bares de tapas locales con un ambiente increíble, así como una caminata de 4 millas entre pequeños pueblos que culminaron en una magnífica cena en una bodega local, un paseo en bicicleta de 20 millas por el campo español y una clase de cocina que fue lo más destacado del viaje de mis hijos (y del mío, ya que pude sentarme con una copa de vino y verlos). Cocinar!) Iván planeó todo a la perfección, basado en los gustos y disgustos de mi familia. Realmente fue un itinerario hecho a medida para nosotros y fue un sueño. Nuestros hoteles eran maravillosos y estaban en ubicaciones fantásticas y simplemente no podríamos haber estado más felices. Como decían muchos niños, "Iván es la CABRA ('el más grande de todos los tiempos'). Si vas a viajar a España, no puedo recomendarte más a Iván. Si trabajas con él, te garantizo que tendrás el viaje de tu vida!

Genuine = authentic and so Ivan's business is aptly named not only for a genuine Andalusian experience but for the authenticity of Ivan himself (and his wonderful team of guides/locals). I don't think we have ever felt so welcomed to a country - welcomed with a genuine sense of curiosity, kindness, fun and excitement. My only regret is we didn't have longer to explore. We only had 6 days but they were jam-packed with a brilliant blend of history, amazing food, culture, nature, hiking, sherry and gorgeous people. From the first contact, Ivan was very responsive and took great care to curate a trip tailored specifically to our interests. To the drivers and to each and every guide/local (Pilar, Manuel, Ivan himself, Domingo, Nico, Peppe and Damien) - THANK YOU - we have had extraordinary, off-the-beaten-track experiences we will treasure forever. Wow! Spent 10 days with Ivan and his team! The trip he planned was thoughtfully planned and well executed. Every detail was taken care of from meeting us upon arrival, escorting us throughout our stay with great drivers and super friendly knowledgeable guides and making sure all along the way that we were happy. We visited many historical sites as well as cultural venues. Tapas tours, bike tours, bread making, home cooked dinners, local small wineries, best flamenco ever! Visited all the best southern cities, great accommodations, top notch all the way! Highly recommend! ! !

We have just spent a wonderful 2 weeks in unspoilt Andalusia. Having wanted to explore the Sherry triangle for sometime, we decided to opt for an organised tour to ensure we experienced the authentic Spain. Following an email to Ivan at Genuine Andalusia we had a very helpful video conference call where he asked many questions to understand us and what we wanted from the holiday. We formed an immediate bond with Ivan – who has the ability to remain incredibly professional but is friendly and welcoming. His knowledge of the region around Jerez, combined with his sherry expertise was really helpful in us finalising a seven day personalised experience to taste sherry, eat beautiful food, explore Jerez and spend 3 days in Seville.

The planning and organisation of the whole Sherry triangle trip was meticulous; from transport to high quality hotels to the sherry tasing and restaurants. Ivan seamlessly and effortlessly managed the whole thing. He accompanied us on all the visits to growers and producers of sherry and food pairing restaurants, acting as guide and interpreter (when needed). We had the opportunity to see smaller producers of sherry rather than the big corporate brands which gave us the opportunity to spend more time with them, taste more and understand their lives and culture.

The real bonus for us was that we learnt more about sherry production and tasting, whilst having an amazing, fun time. The food pairing with sherries is something we are practicing now we are home in the UK!

To offset the eating and drinking we incorporated a cultural tour of Jerez and also a 36km cycle ride on a disused railway in the foot of the mountains – it was wonderful.

Seville is beautiful. The tour guides Ivan provided were informative, friendly and enthusiastic about their heritage and culture. A visit to an intimate flamenco evening was a new experience for us, the four talented artists produced a mesmerising performance. The tapas tour afterwards with our guide concluded a really good evening. The cycle tour around Seville with our guide was a great way to see more of the city, and it felt very safe with cycle lanes in abundance.

We had high expectations of this holiday before we started the trip and can honestly say the whole experience exceeded our expectations. Thank you Ivan, for your thoughtfulness, incredible organisation and friendship.

Are you looking for an adventurous yet laid back trip enjoying culture, food, wine and nature, but have zero time and energy to plan it? Ivan is your guy. Every detail was meticulously planned and coordinated with our interests in mind. It was such a relief to leave for Spain after the wedding with full confidence that we could arrive, relax and simply enjoy being together. With the burden of logistics lifted, we could be fully present in each moment, enjoying a cooking class, a horseback ride through the countryside, a mountain hike, stopping in a mountain town for handmade bread cooked in a woodfire oven and lunch at a micro winery and much more. Interlaced in all of our favorite memories of the trip are Ivan and his team. We had many long lunches, enjoying conversations with intelligent, thoughtful, and passionate people whom we now count as friends. Ivan takes the time to get to know you, your interests and priorities and builds the perfect trip. All you have to do is show up, be present and enjoy the many delights of Andalusia. We have only the highest praise for the Genuine Andalusia team!

Andalusia is a unique place with lots of history, charming towns and cities, and lots of food and wine. Getting the most of a trip to this fascinating region is difficult without detailed local knowledge. Ivan of Genuine Andalusia had all of that knowledge and more!
Ivan developed a wonderful tour for me, my husband and teenage daughter, balancing very varied needs and delivered all that we hoped for as well as what we didn't know we wanted. As well as organising the tour, Ivan was a great contact during the tour, troubleshooting the (very few) times we needed help.

Ivan helped plan a private 9 day trip to Andalusia for our family of 4 (2 adults and 2 kids ages 9 and 13) over spring break in March, 2022. We spent 1 night in Nerja, 2 nights in Granada, 2 nights in Ronda, and 3 nights in Seville. We would highly recommend Ivan for trip planning and we enjoyed all of the experiences that he offered to us. He did a great job of planning an itinerary that offered a good blend of cultural and outdoor activities based on our family's needs. Throughout the entire planning process and while in the country traveling he had excellent responsiveness and communication. Reservations were done at 7 Michelin-starred restaurants as well as local restaurants, the gastronomy blew us away. We had absolutely no bad meals and enjoyed great weather the entire trip.

Iván was able to curate and plan a private luxurious trip showcasing Andalusia’s tradition, diverse culture from different Moorish, Christian and Jewish influences that persists in its architecture, art, food and people. He truly cares that you have a genuine, amazing, and memorable trip - you cannot go wrong with Genuine Andalusia and Iván.

Our one day tour of the White Hill Towns with our tour guide/owner Ivan Ricoy was the highlight of our 3 week trip thru Spain. Ivan was incredibly knowledgeable and kind. It was a day my wife and I will long remember. I highly recommend this tour company. You cannot do better. Thank you Ivan!

La pasada semana hicimos con Genuine Andalusia una visita a las raíces de Jerez: la viña y el vino. Ivan nos preparó un tour precioso, visitando una pequeña viña familiar donde vimos, aprendimos, degustamos y sentimos el arte de hacer el vino de Jerez.

Paseamos por la viña al atardecer, caminando entre preciosos viñedos antiguos y albariza seca, mientas el poniente suave acompañaba al atardecer, una tarde preciosa. Siempre es interesante aprender cosas nuevas, pero cuando te las enseñan alguien que siente, quiere y respeta tanto un oficio se convierte en una experiencia realmente enriquecedora.

Domingo, el paisano de la viña que allí mismo hace sus propios vinos, es un romántico del buen vino, e Ivan un anfitrión estupendo que nos supo explicar y transmitir con todo detalle, no ya las características de todos los vinos de jerez, sino la cultura que hay detrás de ellos, el gran trabajo que hacen los mayetos y lo bonito de estos pequeños productores que pasan de vender la uva a hacer su vino con un cariño y una pasión que solo puedes entender si te la cuentan.

Fino, amontillado, palo cortao, oloroso (que bueno estaba!), una increíble degustación que te hará descubrir que no todos los vinos saben igual. Matices y sabores que cuando te lo explican con tanta pasión te enamoran.

Una experiencia increíble y realmente recomendable.

Este verano fuimos un grupo de amigos a una visita organizada por Genuine Andalusia a una viña en Jerez de la Frontera.

De las mejores experiencias que he tenido en torno al mundo del vino y sin duda la más autentica, porque cuando se pone corazón en las cosas, se nota, y no puede haber más entrega que la de Domingo con su Viña y la de Iván acercándonos a descubrir su mundo.

Acompañados de un precioso atardecer, paseamos por la viña de Domingo mientras nos explicaba con detalle todo lo que rodea a la tierra de Jerez y sus vinos, profundizando en todos los procesos antes de que la uva llegue a la bodega, muchas veces tan desconocidos. Y eso es lo que hizo la experiencia maravillosa, poder ver, respirar, palpar un situ, dónde empieza todo.

Para finalizar una cata recorriendo todos los vinos de Jerez, los gordos y los finos, todos elaborados por Domingo y maridandolos a la perfección con todas sus explicaciones.

En definitiva, una experiencia única y muy recomendable que ningún amante del vino se debería perder.

He and I shared several emails discussing our 3 week trip to Spain and what we would like to experience. The tours Ivan setup for us more than exceeded our expectations! Iván is a treasure. I reached out to him for assistance with a day-trip to Jerez from Seville and could tell from our earliest correspondence that I was in very capable hands. My mother and I started a 5 week tour of Spain in Seville. She wanted to see the White Villages of Spain so I found Genuine Andalusia to be the best match for the experience she wanted. I also found Ivan's correspondence thorough and helpful in making my decision. We proceeded to fall in love with Ivan's Spain! We took a day tour and visited these beautiful villages with their own unique history, experienced sherry for the first time, had the most amazing local lunch, all with a guide (Ivan) who knows the history, food and culture of his homeland through and through. Ivan made such an impression we booked 2 more tours with him during our stay in Seville.

When my best friend joined us, we said, "Wait until you meet, Ivan! " On day tour #2, he took the three of us to a biodynamic, organic winery for tasting in Ronda then a delicious lunch in the main village. He also made an impromptu stop to sunflower fields and fortress ruins. On day tour #3, we learned about the rich history of sherry. We went to the heart of sherry making, Jerez, where we strolled the farmers market, ate churros and headed to a bodega to sample a range of sherry, from dry to sweet, straight from the barrel. The day and tour culminated with a walk and lesson among sherry vineyards and a mind blowing, massive, home cooked lunch prepared by the sherry makers. We ended our time together with a sherry cocktail on the porch, overlooking the vines. We were heading to Portugal the next day so they packed up much of the food for our road trip. Off we went with bottles of wine, sherry, olive oil, vermouth and home cooked Spanish cuisine. It was bliss and one of my best European experiences.

I can't encourage travelers enough to contact Ivan and let him lead the way. I'm already planning my return to Andalusia and Ivan. Thank you always, Ivan. I wish I could rate you higher and promote you stronger.

I can’t think of a better way to spend an evening than the sherry tour we took in Sevilla with Ivan. Besides sampling and enjoying multiple varieties of sherry in authentic, charming and sometimes almost hidden local spots, we got fascinating insights into the process and history of sherry making in a genuinely relaxed and social way. On top of that, add some of the best tapas I can ever remember tasting and you have an experience not to be missed!

Wow. Just an absolutely fantastic tour. I learned so much about sherry, it's different varietals, how best to pair it with food and explored bars I would never have found on my own. The wine was incredible, the food delicious and Ivan was a knowledgeable and interesting guide. Most of all, it was so much fun!
