Kiteboarding Club Tarifa

Tuve una buena semana en Tarifa aprendiendo a hacer kitesurf. Manu fue un muy buen instructor.

La escuela de surf es genial, tuvimos un contacto amigable, un soporte perfecto y un personal súper genial. Dependiendo del viento podremos hacer kitesurf y también surfear olas. El equipo está en perfecto estado. ¡Iremos a la escuela de surf nuevamente la próxima vez que nos quedemos y definitivamente podemos recomendarlo!

Fue un placer recibir ocho horas de lecciones con KBC. Franky es un embajador acogedor y amigable del deporte. Kaya fue una excelente instructora. Monitoreando desde la orilla, ella podía dar instrucciones basadas en el movimiento de la cometa antes de que yo me diera cuenta de lo que estaba sucediendo. Si tienes la oportunidad, te recomiendo KBC para disfrutar de la emoción del kitesurf.

La información de la web de KBC Tarifa crea falsas expectativas:
1. El lugar no es apto para principiantes. Rápidamente hay demasiadas olas, el viento a menudo viene de alta mar y no puedes soportarlo. Cuando hay olas y te caes, ya no puedes ver tu tabla perdida por culpa de todas las olas. Todavía puedes arrastrar el cuerpo muy bien.
2. El texto dice que hay un bote salvavidas. El hecho de que el bote salvavidas tenga un coste adicional (pase de un día por 30 EUR) no favorece a KBC Tarifa. Tampoco dice cuanto cuesta. El bote salvavidas se menciona explícitamente en otras páginas de KBC (¡y se incluye en KBC El Gouna!).
3. Alquilé mi equipo. Se debía abonar un depósito de 500 EUR. No hay ninguna mención de esto en el sitio web. Además, me encontré con un cuello de botella de liquidez debido a esto.
4. No hay recepción (en la ciudad). Todo tiene lugar en el lugar, incluido un lector de tarjetas de crédito. Contra pago anticipado. Me sorprendió tanto que no pude canjear mi cupón de KBC.
5. En la playa primero puedes cargar el equipo durante 10 minutos: 2 cometas, una tabla, tu propia mochila.
6. Había (a veces mejor, a veces peor) atención en la playa. Esto tiene un coste adicional: 30,- EUR / día.
7. Si no hay viento, estás perdido sin vehículo. Esto no se señala con suficiente claridad.
8. El nivel 5 de VDWS no es suficiente: al principio me presionaron para que hiciera un curso semiprivado. (Es una buena idea, pero esta información también debe estar en el sitio web).
9. Los precios de alquiler del material de kite se calculan por 3 horas. En otros lugares siempre están durante todo el día. Por eso cuestan casi el doble. Debería haber investigado eso mejor.
10. Recibí 2 cometas (10 y 12, y todo el material restante) para alquilar. Los dejé cerca de la bandera en la playa. Recortados y marcados con un zapato de playa. Vuelvo con mi pantalla calibre 12. Lo único que queda es la bolsa de cometa vacía para el planeador de 10 asientos. Desaparecieron bolsa de 12 cometas con zapato.

Los aspectos positivos:
Me recogieron en la ciudad y me llevaron al lugar. Lamentablemente la profesora estaba de mal humor. Aunque ella fue la que llegó tarde.
Me ayudaron de vez en cuando con el despegue y el aterrizaje y con el equipo.
El director de la escuela hizo todo lo posible para encontrar mi zapato de playa y lo encontró.

En resumen: en general, sólo puedo recomendar Tarifa con coche y sólo para excursionistas avanzados.

¡Mi experiencia con KBC Tarifa fue totalmente positiva! Tomé clases privadas con Manu, ¡un personaje súper agradable y relajado y un muy buen entrenador! Franky y su equipo son personas genuinamente buenas y cálidas y muy competentes cuando se trata de hacer kitesurf. ¡El equipo y toda la organización son profesionales! Sólo puedo recomendar esta escuela de kite.

Cumplí un sueño con ellos! ¡¡ Son grandes personas y profesionales en el terreno de el surf. Franky y Manu hacen el equipo perfecto. Miran por tu seguridad y son grandes instructores.

Pasé 7 días navegando bajo la supervisión de los instructores de KBC. Experimenté un gran progreso, apreciando la amabilidad, la profesionalidad y la preocupación de KBC por mi seguridad. Los recomiendo totalmente, y planeo volver a Tarifa y tener más clases lo antes posible.

Tuve 4 días súper agradables de windsurf este junio, aunque conecté a Franky solo 2 días por adelantado. Los entrenadores son hábiles, serviciales, amigables y hablan diferentes idiomas (por ejemplo, inglés, español, italiano, alemán,). Incluso hubo oportunidad de clases semiprivadas con cometas propias para los dos participantes. La comunicación con el viento y la próxima sesión a través de whatsapp es todas las noches para que pueda planificar su próximo día con actividades entre el kitesurf. Los precios son justos. Puedo recomendar esta escuela al máximo.

I booked a Kite Event with KBC Tarifa and had a wonderful week with Franky and Kaya. As I’m a more experienced rider, Franky even organised a downwinder for me - which was real fun and a great opportunity to try out different things! On the “no wind-days”, I got some surfing lessons. It’s always nice to learn something new and I could even stand up after a short while - thanks to Franky!

Best school in tarifa - Frankie and Kaya were awesome and thought me quick and well. Felt safe on the water and had tons of fun thanks to them. 10/10 can recommend

With a group of 4 friends we had a great experience with Kiteboarding Club Tarifa. The enthusiasm of our instructor Franky was great and the quality of the classes was also good. As we were beginners we started with a class on the beach to learn the technique. The next day we went into the water with our kite. I would definitely recommend the service of KCT!

I kited with Franky in the off season (February). Luckily the wind was good enough and waves were bearable. He helped me find the right place to kite and was very informative and helpful. Made sure I had thr right size kite for my experience and conditions. Awesome quality gear. Tons of fun!

KBC is a very good Kite school. They helped me out short term and even I didn’t booked anything in advance, they helped me out with private lessons. The Manager was also super friendly and even if you phone him or leave him a whatsapp message, he would answere right away. His Instructor was also super professional and he adopted to my level fast and helped me out with what I needed: a refresher. No unnecessary drama and we‘ve been on the water after a quick introduction.
I can highly recommend this operator!

Came to Tarifa with only enough time for one afternoon of lessons. My instructor Falcon was amazing. Best instructor I've had so far. Very patient, competent and eager to share knowledge. Gear was current and in great shape. Helmet ear piece was easy to hear instructor compared to others I've used. I would have loved another lesson but didn't have time. I would 100% recommend these guys.

Amazing lessons with Anna. She helped me technically and also to relax to enjoy a max my sessions and to progress. I will come back.

Very professional and friendly people. Even allowed me to try a kite for short time when the wind was low (to see if it is possible to ride) before I had the obligation to pay for the rental. TOP service! I will come again.

Franky and the KBC-Team were great! We participated in the kite-camp and enjoyed the flexibility to kite at different spots and times so that we could make the most of the wind and weather conditions on each day.

Great School, Safe & Knowledgeable Instruction and most importantly good fun! We had a great time learning to kitesurf with instructors Frankie and Anna, both were extremely knowledgable, adaptive and fun with safety being the highest priority. Equipment and teaching A* with the majority of kit being brand new! You’ll be in safe hands!

KBC Tarifa helped me to get up and go! Franky is a professional instructor with ample experience where safety always comes first. He adapts his instructor skills to the individual concerned. He has lots of patience with the trainees and also the weather. He has a wide range of equipment which still looks practically new. I’ll be back.

Many thanks to Franky and team. I learned a lot in 2 days. Cool guys with a lot of patience and a lot of experience.

Julius was an amazing Kite Surf Trainer who knows everything about kite surfing as he is one of the pros well known in Tarifa. Perfect English, perfect depth of knowledge and fast forward teaching. Al final de octubre he estado aprendiendo kitesurf con Julius en SurfinTarifa.
Un equipo muy amable y bien organizado. Todos los días Franky organiza el horario y lugar donde encontrarse para el día después!
Recomiendo a todo el mundo está escuela por la onda que tienen.
En todo momento me han hecho sentir cómodo y en seguridad, esto no es poco considerando que ya tengo 65 anos y le tenía algo de respeto a la cometa!

I went to Tarifa to learn to kitesurf in November 2019. I was supposed to stay 1 week but ended up staying over two weeks! KBC were excellent with really good organisation from Franky to ensure we made the most of the conditions. I had 2 really good instructors (José and Gabri), they helped me to pick up the basics, was water starting within a few days and came back from each lesson feeling i’d Improved every day. Kitesurfing was possible on all but 2 days due to weather. All kit in great condition. Highly recommended I’ll be back!

Great first lesson and very good instructor. When back in Tarifa I will go for sure back to KBC.

We had a great time. The team always picked the right time and the right location. We started Kite surfing from scratch and they made us feel comfortable at all times. Communication via Whats App worked perfectly. Good team and good equipment as well.

I have been in Tarifa for starting Kite Boarding with KBC from September 9th until September 19th. I had a great time not only because of the very nice location around Tarifa but also because of the people at KBC. I had in total 7 days with kite boarding lessons with different winds between 15 and 25 knts I guess. The first 4 days were introduction in a group of two, the last three days individual. Istructions were between 1.5 to 3 hours, depending on the wind conditions. In that time I reached a level where I feel very comfortable handling the kite on the beach and in the water, feel secure and confident what I am doing when I am on my own in the water even in some "critical" situations (relaunch kite in the water with low wind, acting after my power line broke, finding the board after a "crash" and start again). KBC make sure that you really get the basics into you and work them as routine. They put your safety and the safety of the people around you first and the explain the things that you need to know in a way that sticks. Also, they provide you with very good material which is right for your level and help you to make progress based on your abilities. On the last day I did water starts with no problems, had longer rides at good speed, did some upwind course, stop the kite in a controlled manner and acted well with kiters around me with different skills and situations. I can recommend Tarifa and KBC to anyone who wants to get into kite boarding. Thanky to Franky, Gigi and the rest of KBC Tarifa for making this such a great and motivatiing time.

The KBC school in Tarifa was the best decision for us. Booking was very easy and we were contacted shortly after. That made communication very simple and nice.
The office in Tarifa was easy to find and the staff was very helpful also with tips about eating, sight seeing, living etc.
The lessons itself were nicely organised, very professional and individual for every one of us although taking group lessons. We never felt lost. Our teacher managed to guide everyone to the best results. It was an uplifting experience to learn kitesurfing with you guys -thanks!
