La Flamenka Hostel

Buena ubicación, céntrico, cerca al río Guadalquivir, estación de Autobuses, supermercados, restaurantes.
La zona es bastante ruidosa en la noche, una molestia a la hora de descansar.
La habitación aseada, las intalaciones son bonitas, el personal muy amable y el ambiente en general agradable.

Ubicación muy céntrica, cerca de todo, comida, taxi, monumentos,
Habitaciones y aseos correctas con taquillas. Destacaría zona de terraza con espacios chill y cocina.

La gente se siente muy bien allí. Sin embargo, para mí está sucio. Sólo se limpian las habitaciones, los baños y la cocina. Los artículos que están en uso constante están limpios. Pero los cajones de esta preciosa cómoda sin usar ya están sucios. Las terrazas están sucias. El recibidor, las escaleras y el salón de la terraza están sucios. Mucho polvo en decenas de decoraciones. Flores, cuadros, recortes, mascotas, pulseras. Hay mucho. Esto crea un caos estético y acumula polvo. Por favor, mire las fotos. Pasé el dedo por la pulsera. ¿Cuánto polvo limpié? Las almohadas y colchones en las terrazas son diferentes. Como son tantos, cansan la vista. En el salón, donde hay que esperar si atienden a otra persona, se desprende un olor desagradable e irritante. Ya sea un ambientador o un líquido en el que se enjuagaron almohadas y colchas.

La Flamenka es un albergue que recomiendo a todo el mundo, especialmente al turista dinámico que busca un lugar cómodo y animado donde alojarse, sintiéndose como en casa pero sin aspirar a un entorno refinado o sofisticado. Está situado en el centro de Sevilla, en una de las calles principales, en el primer y segundo piso de un bonito edificio, en dos pisos separados, lejos del caos y el smog de las concurridas calles. Tiene una terraza muy grande donde es agradable relajarse en las noches de verano, que ofrece una excelente vista de toda la ciudad. Todos los espacios son generosos, nunca estás codo con codo, incluso cuando el albergue está completo. También hay algunos rincones cómodos que permiten a aquellos que quieran escaparse un poco estar solos o con amigos. Una bonita cocina con una gran mesa y muchos complementos invita a quedarte unos días más. Hay muchos baños en los dos apartamentos, con cabinas una al lado de la otra pero también del tipo normal con paredes y puertas completas. El personal es muy agradable y amable y el albergue está limpio y ordenado. La relación calidad-precio es ciertamente buena, al igual que los precios del alojamiento en Sevilla, yo diría que excelentes si los comparamos con las ciudades metropolitanas más populares entre los turistas. En cuanto a mí, hay pocos albergues en los que elijo quedarme, si no estoy seguro de encontrar un ambiente turístico, honesto, cómodo y asequible, prefiero ir a otro lugar o quedarme en casa.

Excelente ubicación en el centro de la ciudad.
Es mi primera vez en el hostel así que no lo conozco pero me pareció bueno. La cama se mueve mucho. ¡Afortunadamente solo éramos tres en la habitación! La luz entra por las cortinas por la mañana, no son muy opacas. ¡No dormí tan bien después de todo!
Las duchas y los baños me parecieron limpios.personal amigable

Mi primera vez en sevilla. Y seguramente no sera la ultima.
Estube en este hostel y me gusto mucho.
Tema ubicacion muy central cerca del famoso barrio triana.cerca del Rio guadalquivir de la torre de El oro. Y a 15 minutos a pie de los jardines de alcazares.
Alrededor restaurante, bares, supermercados y a menos de 10 minutos a pie cerca del mercado triana y de la plaza de armas.

Tema limpieza super super limpio. Tanto las habitaciones con cama super comoda tanto los baños y las area comunes

Calidad precio muy bien.visto k esta cerca de todo. Seguramente volvere

Disfrutamos mucho de nuestra estancia en el flamenka, el personal es muy amable, hay muchos servicios, la cocina está muy bien surtida, lo recomendamos!

Fue increíble, no había ningún ruido. Algunos pasos que pasaban por la calle los vi desde la terraza maravilloso.
El año que viene en semana santa volvemos por qué está bien ubicado y nos encantó ️️️️️️️️

Buscábamos una habitación tranquila y cómoda para recargar pilas y continuar de turisteo por la zona, cuando llegamos al Hostel nos sorprendimos muy gratamente. De 10! De esos sitios que le recomendarías a cualquier familiar.

Me hospedo en hostel habitualmente, la habitación limpia, el aseo limpio, recepción súper atentos, te ayudan en lo que necesites, cocina equipada, las terrazas chulisima con unas vistas y un ambiente estupendo. Las zonas comunes con varias salitas muy acogedoras.
He coincido como casi siempre con gente maravillosa
Sin duda si os gusta viajar en Hostel La flamenka es para tener en cuenta

Great location to explore the main attractions. The staff are the asset to this place, everyone is friendly and likes to chat.
The bedrooms are equipped with a locker, which is great.
Bunk beds aren’t the best, they are wobbly and don’t have curtains nor a personal light or plug. The doors don’t close unless you lock them which is a bit inconvenient when you need to go to the toilet at night. The walls are super thin so you can hear and feel when people open and close their dorms’ door.
The showers are ok, not very practical but it seems clean.
But there is a great terrasse at the top to enjoy a drink and some good company.
It would be nice if the hostel offered walking tours or some hostel events to help make friends.

La ubicación es fantástica, al lado del Río y del Centro. Lo que más nos gustó fue lo pintoresco que es, cercano, gente joven, viajera, educada, se respiraba el aire de Sevilla en sus habitaciones comunes. Las 2 amplias terrazas para charlar, y ver la Catedral. Y Sevilla. Dormimos en litera, en particular, sólo para nosotros dos. Los cuartos de baño muy, muy, limpios.

Me ha gustado mucho el sitio, todo muy limpio y el personal muy agradable. Tienes varias opciones de habitaciones las cuales van variando de precio, puedes compartir con más o menos gente, también tienen habitaciones más privada, pero compartiendo siempre tienes la posibilidad de conocer gente interesante. Una terraza de 10, cocina común un poco ajustada pero se hace el apaño. La situación es genial, está junto al puente de Triana y a unas calles de la catedral, y el precio por noche brutal si compartes habitacion.

Sin mas, agradable pero muy básico. Dos bateres y dos duchas para todo el hostel. Toca esperar mucho por las mañanas. Y darse buenos paseos desde la habitación al baño. No hay aire acondicionado por lo que hay que dormir con las ventanas abiertas y se oyen los estractores del patio toda la noche.

Não há tomadas perto das camas, nem mesmo suficiente para todas as pessoas do quarto. Um pouco barulhento aos finais de semana. Mas é uma boa opção pelo custo/benefício

El hostal es muy bonito, me gusto como está estructurado los baños y las habitaciones. Muy limpio todo. Muy bien ubicado. Lo único que debería cambiar es el horario de la recepción a una atención 24hrs o más temprano. Tuve que esperar desde las 4y30am hasta las 8am que alguien llegara a la recepción y poder entrar al hostal.

I've been to a few hostels in my Iberian trip, and this hostel was definitely one of the best!
Good price, nice staff, walk away from the main attractions and nice breakfast.

Stayed here from the 18th to the 20th May 2022. We were over for the Europa league final and have to say the people of seville are extremely friendly and welcoming. Back to our stay.boys who checked us in were great gave us codes to the doors showed us around. Room we were staying in was far far too warm with no working a/c it made for a very uncomfortable stay. On the night of the 19th we took our own alcohol to the terrace with some friends who were staying in a different hostel. We caused no trouble we even shared with other guests we ordered food and did the same but once it was known we had people who didn't stay there with us the attitude of the 2 ladies on reception was extremely poor almost aggressive. I could not see the issue if it was only the terrace no rooms were entered by anyone not staying as everything is coded. Do not take valuables there is no safe way of storing anything. Take your own towels.again not provided. Air freshener as drains are not pleasant. Would I stay again NO i found the hostels my friends were in far friendlier to let us all hang out.

Te dejan totalmente tirado. En su página dice que están para atenderte 24 horas al día. Totalmente falso. Si tú avión se retrasa un poco y has acordado con recepción la entrada por la noche, no te responden cuando les avisas del retraso del vuelo, y te dejan tirado en la calle. Vienes de otro país, no conoces la ciudad, te aseguran que te reciben a tu llegada y que están disponibles 24 horas al día ¿Cómo calificar esto sino como la peor de las situaciones?

Lo único que rescato es la atención, el resto mediocre tirando a malo, no pude dormir por culpa de un grupo extremadamente irrespetuoso en mi habitación (cero control), la limpieza de los baños muy pobre, el desayuno muuuy básico. No volvería

Muy buena ubicación y los de recepción muy amables. Las habitaciones muy ordenadas, limpias y cómodas. La terraza es una pasada! Y se ve espectacular la catedral de noche desde ahi.

Estuvimos hace tiempo un grupo de estudiantes, la azotea de arriba está genial, lo que me decepcionó algo fue el baño de los hombres que en aquel entonces no sé encontraba en muy buen estado

Muy bueno todo el hospedaje y la atención, me encantó el lugar y la ubicación. Lo único que mejoraría es el desayuno, siento que para las pocas opciones que habían 3€ es demasiado. Podrían incluir otros alimentos como fruta o queso, o entonces bajar el precio. Muchas gracias!

Everything about this place (the rooftop terrace, spacious in-room lockers, location) was awesome, but what really made my stay was the staff! Super-friendly and created a great atmosphere for meeting other travelers. Thanks for everything!

Excepcional, emplazamiento del Hostel muy bueno, personal del hotel amable y atento, habitaciones y mobiliario muy cuidados. Su azotea sevillana es ideal para desconectar un rato con muy buenas vistas de Sevilla. Un 10 para este lugar.

This place could not be more perfectly situated. The rooftop terrace is nothing short of a dream! Best rooftop bar in the city wouldn't reach this. The service is very friendly, they speak English well and the facilities are very clean, bright and welcoming. Although the bathrooms are shared by gender, they have nice cubicles for privacy which are sometimes lacking in other hostels. My only criticism is the bunk beds. Unfortunately, they are not very stable. They wiggle a lot and getting on the top bunk isn't nice because the entire bed frame swings. You don't sleep well because you constantly feel the other person move, or in my case, you're too scared to change your position because you don't want to wake the other person below (again). But other than that- I doubt you're gonna find a nicer budget option in Seville. I will return if given the chance. I will just request a bottom bunk next time.

Pulled up at 10: 30 to book a room because booking direct is usually better for hostels. The staff professionally and politely informed me I couldn’t because it was past ten. The Hostelworld app says check in till 12, so i don’t know what happened there but management is not on top of the ball. It was raining and late on a Sunday so I was kinda left out to hang for no reason. Lame

This is one of the best hostels I've ever been to! Super beautiful, great price and nice staff!:)

Say in the booking there is parking, parking is paid and not easy to get. They did not cancel my stay when I asked, since I was with a car and charged the card after a day. Don't stay here find something else, more honest.

une équipe qui n’a pas été honnête dans ses prix. Proposant des tarifs différents d’un client à un autre. Me pressant pour payer. Je me suis senti arnaqué.

De plus, c’est dommage que les seuls personnes qui y travaillent correctement sois les volontaires qui passent leur journée à nettoyer le sol et faire toute les taches ingrates.

Lors de mon passage, de nombreux petits problèmes. Une douche cassé et pas très fonctionnelle. Je reste avec un sentiment très négatif.

Je ne conseille vraiment pas. Encore plus en connaissant le grand nombre d’hostel de qualité à Séville.

Very nice and comfortable hostel. On the roof there are two large terraces with many seating areas. The kitchen area also consists of two parts, which is very convenient. The staff, they are so cute! That you feel like at home.

Bad hostel, there was no parking in sight. Location is nice but Very noisy. I would look for something better.

We had a great stay in the hostel La Flamenka. Very nice staff that is always open to help. Everything was very clean. Breakfast can be booked in the morning for just 2 € and you get coffee, juice, cake, toast and marmelade. There also is a big terrace, from where you have a great view! Definitely worth the price and very recommendable for a stay in Sevilla on a budget!

El lugar es genial, sin más, y además está en una localización de lo más céntrica. Los recepcionistas son super agradables y te ayudan en todo momento. Por otro lado, el hostal está dividido en pisos, y cada piso tiene sus propios baños para el mismo, siendo estos además muy higiénicos y cómodos (esto es de súper agradecer, suele no ser la norma). Hay también cocina común, salón común y dos terrazas geniales en las que se puede desayunar bien por 2€ más viendo las vistas de Sevilla. La cocina es self-service y hay muy buen ambiente con el resto de personas del hostal. Finalmente, las habitaciones también están bien. Son espaciosas, y los colchones son duros y cómodos y las almohadas viscoelásticas (+1).
Podemos decir que para nosotros no hay queja! 10/10

Beautiful terrace with amazing views especially at night, breakfast for 2€ is more than suffice and the dorms as the toilets were clean, would recommend!:)

Estancia de 10. Las habitaciones y zonas comunes muy limpias, los trabajadores encantadores y siempre dispuestos a ayudarnos. El desayuno que tomamos en su terraza (con vistas a la Giralda) fue espectacular y la ubicación inmejorable. En pleno centro de Sevilla y muy cómodo si vais de turismo Volveremos 100%.

El sitio perfecto al igual que el anfitrión. El problema fueron los demás huéspedes que hasta la 1: 30h - 2h de la noche no nos dejaron dormir.

The hostel is very close to the centre of the city, the staff is very friendly and helpful. It was a wonderful experience! The hostel is run by a family and it's a very quiet place to stay. Ana (the owner) she's very kind with all the guests. I really recommend it.

Worst hostel experience in Spain! Would never recommend.

I decided to leave after 1 night because it’s not very comfortable:
- There is no sound insulation, so it’s super noisy;
- The curtains do not block daylight at all
- AC is controlled at the reception, so when the reception is closed and it’s 28 degrees in the bedroom with no fan, there is not much to do about it!

But the worst was yet to come.

I forgot some food in the fridge and came back during the day. Upon my return, the owner went on an angry rant against me for 2 reasons:

1. I had brought my bicycle in the EMPTY dormitory I was staying in. On that topic, I explained her that the receptionist had told me during check-in that I could bring the bike in the hostel in a storage room. But when I brought it in at 11 pm, the reception was closed. Since I did not know where the storage room was, I decided to keep it with me for the night. Many other hostels across Spain have advised me to do this. So I thought it would be ok. In addition, there was no one else in the dormitory besides me, so it was not bothering any other guest. When I asked the owner if the room was dirty or if I had caused any damage, she confirmed that everything was fine. So why create issues when there is none?

2. I had taken a towel and had not paid €1 for it. Well, I did take a towel.when there was no one at the reception! And it was only around 7pm. After taking my shower, the receptionist was back and I told him I had taken a towel and offered to pay for it. But he said I did not need to.

Anyways, despite my explanations, she continued complaining and was going on an on. I had to get angry and throw a bunch of money on the counter to make her stop and get my food in the fridge. She was of course happy about the money and took it all very hungrily.

I don’t understand these people who create issues where there is none. I did not bother any guest, the room was left clean and tidy, I had offered to pay but the receptionist declined. Yet she had to yell and bother me.

When hostel owners reach that point where they rant at guests for no reason, I think it’s time to consider retirement.

Te sientes como en casa con los voluntarios y con Ana, la dueña del hostel. Tienen cocina para dejar tus cosas y prepararte cenas o comidas. Muy limpio y en el centro. Muy recomendable.

El personal es muy cálido y es muy lindo el ambiente del hostel, todos saludan y son simpáticos. Todo el lugar está reluciente de limpio. Las camas son súper cómodas. Volveríamos y se lo recomendaremos a todos los que quieran venir a Sevilla.

My friends and I spent New Year's Eve here and loved it! The hostel staff prepare an intimate and charming programme for the evening, and for a moment all the other guests and the staff feel like your old friends. We felt that La Flamenka went above and beyond to ensure that everyone had a lovely New Year's Eve. Would highly recommend this place if not just for the great friendly staff.

El hostel La Flamenka está muy bien ubicado y destaca tanto por la limpieza como por la comodidad de sus colchones. En la planta de arriba tienen dos terrazas grandes y una cocina espaciosa para cocinar o simplemente pasar un rato agradable

El sitio en general decente limpia las habitaciones pero para el precio que tenía no me parecía adecuado ya que por 60 euros creo que debería tener el baño privado no lo especificado cuando hicimos la reserva pasamos frío ya que la calefacción no funcionaba la chica que nos atendió muy agradable

Ya estuvimos y volveremos en verano. Nos encanta Sevilla y este hotel es el que mejor se adapta a nuestras necesidades y nos tratan muy bien. Las habitaciones limpias, cómodas y con todo lo necesario para un buen descanso. Hostal pintoresco y acogedor que no deja indiferente a nadie.

I spent 2 nights in this hostel and I can't even say which night was worse.

Rooms
The rooms were rather clean, the beds comfy enough to sleep in them - if your noisy neighbours let you sleep at all. There was no privacy whatsoever though, no curtains on the beds to get some private space, and the bed would shake if the person below or above you moved in their sleep. The walls in the rooms are incredibly thin. I heard whenever the neighbours talked, opened the doors to their rooms, or someone went by the door. Also you could hear everything from the lively street down the window.

Shower/bathroom
One of the showers was broken, no amenities like shampoo etc, just a stash of used shampoo and body lotion bottles that other guests left there for others to use. Kinda ew. Besides that it was clean.

Location
The hostel is quite central which is good if you want to reach the city center quickly, but it's the WORST on weekends if you plan to sleep. On a Friday night, 5am, there were two drunk spanish guys outside our window who got into a fistfight and screamed like crazy. I really thought they would kill each other - scary experience.

Staff
The hostel manager was quite nice and understanding. However, the staff wasn't there when I needed them. Also, one staff member didn't even know their own hostel rules (read the next part for more).

Night time
So this was the biggest problem with the hostel. In their rules that you have to accept when checking in, it states that you should "respect the night times", meaning, don't disturb other guests at night.
Friday night: 2.30 am. This one girl in my room is obsessed with keeping the window open even though there are drunk people screaming outside and cars driving by. Really, it was so loud you couldn't get any sleep at all. I BEGGED her to keep the window shut but she complained it would be too hot and she didn't want to turn on air conditioning.
3.30 am. The guys next door came back from partying, heavily drunk, and were SCREAMING on the floor, I'm pretty sure they woke everybody up. The hostel staff did nothing - because they were not there, EVEN THOUGH it states "24h reception". Please note that this is NOT THE CASE.
8am. Finally, the hostel manager appears at the reception. I complain and he offers me a refund if I want to cancel the 2nd night of my stay, but since Sevilla was overbooked, I couldn't get another room in my budget (cheapest one was 160€ and I'm a broke student) so I decided to give this hostel one more chance.
Saturday Night, 10pm: the hostel staff checks in a new guest. She takes forever to unpack.
11.30pm. Hostel staff checks in ANOTHER guest. What about night times? I went to the reception desk and asked WHAT exactly the nighttimes were. 10pm - 7am? 11pm - 8am? The staff couldn't tell me. I said that's not ok (sorry for being a Karen but I hadn't slept IN 2 DAYS) and they said sorry and offered me to complain via mail.

So you see: this hostel wants you to respect their night times - but jokes on you - they don't even have night times!
Also keep in mind the 24h reception is a lie.

So I complained via mail just as I was told and asked for a refund, since they offered that as well. They took 2 weeks to reply to my mail, saying that they're not responsible for the behaviour of other guests (but you could, like, make rules and fine guests that don't stick to them? Like other hostels do it?). Also, they COMPLETELY ignored my demand for a refund of the 40€ I paid for the 2 nights in which I didn't get any sleep at all.

Conclusion: cheap hostel, but even the cheap price doesn't justify the experience I had. I've been to hostels where I paid the same but the standards were much higher.

Rapport qualité prix excellent.
Emplacement au centre, très propre avec une belle cuisine et belle terrasse.
Un hostel recommandé pr les voyages au petit budget.

Muy buen alojamiento, preparado y decorado con gusto y para que el cliente se sienta como en casa. Todo limpio y con una excelente relación calidad - precio. Es una suerte que este tipo de casas las acondicionen como alojamiento.

Por el trato del personal, amabilisimos, el Hostel muy limpio, por su inmejorable situación, (y un par de terrazas chill-out con vistas a la catedral Mega Increibles)

Excelente y diferente! Muy buen alojamiento. Las habitaciones limpias, cómodas y con todo lo necesario para sentirte como en casa.decorado con gusto y que no deja indiferente a nadie. Recomendable. También por precio.

Hemos estado dos veces y repetiriamos encantados. Ubicación excelente y trato del personal muy bueno. La terraza es fabulosa, y los baños aseados.
Lo único es que se oye todo y tendrían que guardar silencio a partir de las 12 que cierran la terraza.
El desayuno por 2eur lo mejoraría un poco aunque se tuviera que incrementar el precio (ponen cafe, leche, zumo, tostadas, mantequilla, galletas, mermelada). Igual tomate rallado o algún salado para el que no quiera dulce.
