Lo visité hace unos días con mi esposa Emilie. Fuimos recibidos muy calurosamente por la encargada. Ella fue extremadamente amable y nos dio un recorrido increíble por el lugar. También hicimos una degustación encantadora. Es genial ver un negocio familiar como este. El costo no fue nada caro y MUY vale la pena el tiempo y el dinero. ¡¡¡Les deseo mucha suerte en su negocio!

Maravilloso y antiguo productor de aceite de oliva tradicional. Precioso viaje hasta una zona tranquila. Los propietarios muy amables. Delicioso aceite de oliva.

Josephina fue una anfitriona amable que nos recibió incluso si llegamos sin previo aviso. Ella nos compartió que los elementos importantes para un aceite de calidad (palabra que nos repite a menudo) son su intensidad, apreciada a través de su aroma, su frescura a través de su sabor y su pureza cuando el aceite no tiene impurezas.

Recomendamos este lugar fuera de los caminos trillados, realmente vale la pena el desvío, tanto por el paseo por el interior andaluz como por la calidad de los aceites de oliva.

Acabo de llamar al número de teléfono para hacerle una consulta sobre los horarios de apertura y me ha colgado 3 veces después de darme tres contestaciones extremadamente maleducadas, he llamado a su negocio señor, no a molestarle.

Aceite ecológico con marca propia y diferentes variedades, puedes visitar las instalaciones y hacer cata de las variedades existentes. Recomiendo la Hojiblanca si buscas un aceite intenso y suave a la vez

Fantástica visita, perfectamente explicada por Juan, de cómo hacer los mejores aceites. Que fácil es entender la diferencia entre un buen aceite y el resto cuando te lo enseñan con pasión.
Hay gustos para todo, pero el que más me gustó fue el Hojiblanca

Hemos pasado un finde espectacular: el apartamento es pequeñito, pero tiene todo lo necesario para pasar unos días en total comodidad. Se está muy fresquito dentro (incluso sin necesidad de ventilador) porque las paredes son muy gruesas y tiene muy bien distribuidas las horas/zonas de sol.

La piscina está a 30 metros, en una zona más apartada de la casa, con sol y sombra a todas horas (y el atardecer es una preciosidad).

Tienes también la oportunidad de visitar el museo y comprar aceite. Personalmente, lo recomiendo al 100% (la visita, llevarse aceite y, en general, alojarse aquí).

Increíble experiencia! La calidez con la que nos recibió y explicó Josefina todo el proceso de cultivo y producción del aceite de oliva nos cautivo. Se nota que es una empresa familiar donde se trabaja con pasión. Volveria mil veces. Muy recomendado.

We've had a wonderful trip to this olive grove. When we came there, Juan's wife and the family's dogs welcomed us very openly. She gave us a little tour, explained everything about oleiculture, harvesting and production (which was very interesting) and we had the chance to taste 5 olive oils, which were absolutely tasty! We then bought a few for us and friends and family (price around 10€ for 500ml). The property there is stunning. Can only recommend! If you have a scooter - the route from Malaga is beyond beautiful. Very warm-hearted family.

Precios elevados para el aceite que no es de calidad, la visita por el molino es bastante caótica y el acceso al sitio es muy complicado y se tarda 2 horas por caminos de tierra

Un lugar fantástico y desde luego único. Recomiendo su visita pues se aprende sobre olivos, aceitunas, métodos de fabricación del aceite, de conservación, hoy y hace años. Un lugar único en toda la provincia de Málaga! La dueña del dominio, Pepi, es una mujer encantadora y muy atenta y a disposición por compartir su historia, las vivencias de su familia, hoy y hace años. Las paredes de este molino guardan secretos maravillosos, tal como los aromas y sabores de su gran variedad de aceites. Consiguieron el premio del mejor aceite virgen de oliva del mundo. Que más se puede pedir! Si.aún hay más.que centren su labor en lograr un aceite de altísima calidad en lugar de cantidad. Y logrando pues un aceite premiado de unos olivos milenarios. Enhorabuena a vosotros 3, que os dedicáis a perpetuar costumbres, valores. Y para que podamos disfrutar de un aceite único en el mundo. Un auténtico producto de las Tierras Andaluzas. No repito, experiencia bastante decepcionante.
El problema de poner altas expectativas provoca que al final la mediocridad te pongas los pies en el suelo

Molino precioso familiar con trato estupendo. Se puede ver la historia y el molino antiguo. Muy bien conservado. Hacen excursiones para todo tipo de público. Enhorabuena!

Sin ninguna duda en esta Almazara familiar se conjugan el amor por la cosas bien hechas y la profesionalidad. La atención por parte de Josefina ha sido exquisita. Hemos aprendido mucho sobre la elaboración del aceite y la cata del mismo ha sido magnifica. Ha sido una experiencia fantástica.

We came to Molino del Hortelano in May. We (2 people) had the chance to have a full private tour in Spanish of the installations and processes. The owner was very kind and caring.
We had the pleasure to taste the different varieties cultivated by the family.
For sure, we recommend the visit there and we will buy our oil from the Molino now!

El saber hacer de una familia, el mimo en un producto tan delicado y maravilloso.
Conocer cómo se produce de forma ecológica el aceite merece la pena. Las explicaciones, la amabilidad y la antigua bodega restaurada. Toda una experiencia!

Como trato excelente, familiar. Profesionales y exquisitos en el proceso, tratando el producto como a un bebé, siendo este inmejorable. Así que un abrazo a todos y el que no lo conozca tada en hacerlo y no solo eso sino llevarse el producto.

Visita muy recomendable, una familia encantadora, transmite mucha pasión por el aceite. No olvidéis de llevar varias botellas, es muy buen aceite.

Un lugar con mucha historia, un enclave natural con unas vistas maravillosas, unos atardeceres privilegiados. El aceite es de buenísima calidad y un sabor inigualable, en todas sus variedades. Es difícil elegir, por lo que recomiendo un buen aprovisionamiento y variado. Pero lo mejor es la calidad humana de sus propietarios.

Our guide Juan was amazing! This was an incredible journey, not only through the technical aspects of olive oil making, but also through the history of doing so on this incredible site where olive oil and wine have been made for so many generations. They've taken much care for many years to restore the site with careful detail. The tour was also incredibly gracious with accommodating our young "energetic" children. They go to incredible lengths to ensure they create some of the most amazing olive oil in the world starting from the way but they cultivate their trees to the end of botteling well. It is incredibly delicious. Definitely make the time for this personally tailored to tour.

Realy good oil at a great price. 1hour tour of there small family oil mill. Gold medal award winning oil and a passion and great understanding of oil. If you have been driving through the fields of olive trees and have wondered to yourself how it is made these guys will tell you.

This place is among the most amazing things you can visit in the rural part of costa del sol. It is a small family owned olive oil mill. The ownes are great people and they can tell you anything about the production of oil nd the growing of olives. The palce is beautifully renovated. They produce awarded oils and the prices are amazing. If you have the chance to visit you should do it. Also the streets are steep they are in good shape and the place is easy reachable. Not suitable for busses.

Beautifully restored building and the tour was very interesting. It is so wonderful to see the passion this family has for the olive oil production. The best olive oil I have ever tasted!

We came for a tour and tasting. Lovely property family owned. Thorough tour with excellent English. Very cheerful friendly family owned. Excellent descriptions of the product and process. Winner of multiple gold and some silver medals. Tasting was included and was very well done. Restrooms on site. We saw old (historic) and new process equipment. Structure was very attractive and very clean.

We wanted to visit an olive oil producer and found Molino del Hortelano tucked away in the hills north of Málaga. We didn't prebook but we only had to wait 20 minutes to get a tour from the lovely owner. The tour took almost an hour and he showed us where he makes his olive oil, and how olive oil used to be made decades ago. Unfortunately we could only taste one type of olive oil because the last harvest wasn't a good one. It was delicious though! Of course you can also buy some to take home. And don't forget to visit the nearby 1000 year old olive tree!

We arrived spontaneously (didn't call ahead) and there was a bigger group with a tasting. After a short wait on the lovely terrace, we were given a private tour of how their olive oil production process works and how it was made back in the day. Definitely recommend this one.

Also, I would recommend coming through Casabermeja as the road from the south is a bit rough.

We visited this place in September 2018 with my wife. It was an unforgettable experience at Molino del Hortelano. As we are using one by one the olive oil cans that we have purchased there we savor the unforgettable beauty of that little place in Andalusia.

Fantastic place with owner Juan as a great host. Informative, interesting, fantastic scenery, information about both new and old ways of oil production and the best olive oil. Absolutely worth a visit.

Juan-Josephina are a great couple who add their passion to their business (a labour of love) to deliver with nice experience of touring an olive oil mill set in a very picturesque surroundings.we learnt a great deal, saw some olive oil being produced (in the new mill), tasted some lovely olive oil and last but not the least - kids had a great fun-filled lovely learning experience.

We really enjoyed our visit here. The hosts were amazing and gave us some great insight into olive oil production process. Tasting the olive oil allowed us to really experience the detailed production process’s results, and it was phenomenal. We left with a bit of knowledge, two bottles to take home, and the lingering taste of great olive oil in our mouths.

This was an amazing experience and I will never forget it. The business arranged a taxi driver, round trip from Malaga for 70€. The owner (in very good English) showed us the trees, the historical processes and the new sparkling operations where they've just started milling this year's crop. In photos we saw how they renovated the old facilities, almost an act of archaeology. We then tasted some of last year's oil, and some new oil just off the presses. The oil has won a number of awards for its quality.

We went for the tour of the olive oil business and it was great! We learn all about how the olives are harvested and then how they are made into olive oil. We also saw and learnt about how olive oil was made in the past. We then tasted some of the oils. It is a family run business and you really get the personal experience - it was just the two of us on our tour. The price was so reasonable (€7 each) and the olive oil is also reasonable if you want to take some home (although they are not pushy). Would definitely recommend the experience.

The family is as warm as the sunshine! The food was fabulous! The drive was an adventure with stunning views. Very interesting tour.

Un sitio acogedor y didáctico con un trato estupendo. Nos explicaron todo el proceso de extracción de su aceite virgen extra ecológico visitando sus instalaciones.
Posterior a la visita a la parte más industrial pasamos a la construcción antigua que han reconstruido, donde vimos la forma tradicional de extracción y catamos varios de los aceites que producen.

Brought a bunch of their bottles here in Canada and I am still enjoying every bit of it. The host Josefina was really nice and accommodating despite the fact that we (consisted of 2 families) showed up unannounced. Interesting mill, a lot of history to it.

Preciosa y autentica almazara tipica andaluza-malagueña, ademas de poder disfrutar y aprender del aceite y su elaboración de la mano de sus dueños que son muy agradables y amables con los visitantes, puedes comprar los diferentes aceites que producen, a cual mejor, tanto para regalo en bonitas presentaciones como en mas cantidad para uso, buenisimo!
