Navy Lodge

Reservists aren't allowed, unreal. It's unfortuante the Navy does such a diservice to Reserve personnel. The funny thing is, you can still fly into ROTA as a Resevist on Space A flights. Strange policy, regardless of SOFA agreements in place.

After traveling 2 days from another overseas duty station, I arrived at night and was quickly greeted by swarms of ants. Ants coming out of outlets, behind dressers, in the bathroom, along the baseboards of the rooms, walking leisurely through the middle of the room, etc. Then, I guess our room was too far from the main building because we could not get consistent Wi-Fi. Had to use hot spot to get decent internet service. Not the best way to welcome new families to a new duty station. The only redeeming quality of this place is the staff. They were kind and sympathetic, and they did have an exterminator come out and attempt to treat the ants and offered to allow me to move to a new room. However, I have the feeling it’s gonna be the same problem in any room because I just saw dozens of scout ants scurrying through the laundry room on the property. Staff aside, this is by far the worst Navy Lodge I’ve ever stayed in. When sailors and families are mandated to stay in government lodging when PCSing overseas, you’d think that more effort would be used to make them feel more comfortable upon arrival and through their extended stay. There is nothing comfortable about this Navy Lodge. Guests deserve better.

To conclude, I noticed in another review that the property manager responded and said that there are limitations on pest control. I don’t see how the property’s limitations should become the guests’ problem. If the problems can’t be fixed then families should not be mandated to stay at the property.

Comfortable accommodations and friendly employees. Food that I'd bought disappeared from my room during the day. Of course this caused me great concern for the safety of my other belongings. Avoid if you value your peace of mind.

The Navy Lodge was very clean and had spacious rooms. I recommend it for families because of the kitchen area allows preparing meals. It's quite and the staffers are friendly. I recommend to friends and family.

I love the in room kitchenette! They also have a nice breakfast in the morning and friendly staff!

Stayed as a guest many times. Excellent water pressure, wifi, beds and kitchens. Great bbq area. Staff are friendly. Good location on base.

The staff is super friendly, clean rooms with comfy space including a nicely stocked kitchen.close to the nex and gym.

Staff is great, the rooms are nice and the cleanings are always done very well at least for us. If you are staying in the hotel or in TLA for only a few days its fine but if you are in TLA because you are arriving or leaving it is just a hotel room with 2 beds and a mini kitchen and very hard to deal with especially if you have any kids. Having stayed in TLA at my losing base (McGuire) that had a full blown kitchen living room, separate bedrooms and washer/dryer in unit, its hard to rate the TLA here more than 3 stars.

Nice clean open rooms and very friendly staff. "Continental" breakfast isn't to bad and there are a couple bending machines in the main building. Convenient walk to the exchange a pretty nice place to stay.

Excellent staff, comfortable beds, quiet area, close to well stocked mini mart. Only complaint was our room stayed warm even with the air set to 60 & we ended up sleeping with the windows open.

Very nice, wide open, and clean rooms. Came with TV, microwaves, ironing boards, and hair dryers. Plenty of hot water for showers too. Lacking in places to wash clothing though. I'd return here again.
