Rebels Tarifa Kitesurfing School

Reservé lecciones y alojamiento a través de Rebels. El albergue estaba muy cuidado, con una terraza en la azotea súper bonita. El contacto sobre lecciones de kitesurf fue fácil a través de WhatsApp. Gente muy flexible y relajada. También oportunidades para surfear olas.

Reservamos un excelente paquete en Rebels que incluía estadía en el albergue y lecciones semiprivadas. La comunicación fue buena y muy relajada. Gracias a nuestro instructor Pedro pudimos levantarnos y realizar nuestros primeros metros kiteando en el agua en tan solo dos días. ¡Recomendaría!

Estuve allí viajando solo en abril/mayo de 2018 y lo pasé fantástico tanto en el albergue como en la escuela de kite Rebels. Todos en la casa fueron muy acogedores y serviciales.

He tenido una semana realmente divertida y educativa. Recibí lecciones semiprivadas con un amigo. Nuestro instructor, Tale, fue muy paciente y motivador. Sinceramente, no podría haber pedido un mejor instructor. Tale fue muy honesto acerca de las horas que dedicó y si valía la pena el viento en el agua.

Rebel se había asegurado de que pudiéramos quedarnos con 1 instructor durante todas las horas que tuvimos clases, lo que también nos pareció muy relajante.

¡No podría estar más feliz con los resultados! ¡¡Mi instructor, Saúl, era una leyenda! Maestro brillante que hizo todo lo posible, incluso en condiciones difíciles.

A pesar de las ráfagas de viento, la experiencia y la paciencia de Saúl me permitieron progresar rápidamente. En solo cuatro lecciones, me guió desde el bodydragging hasta ir contra el viento con confianza y hacer la transición.

Fabulosa escuela de kitesurf! Mi instructor Saúl fue simplemente increíble y supo cómo sacar lo mejor de mí en las condiciones más difíciles cuando muchas otras escuelas habían cancelado el día porque hacía bastante viento: viento marino de Levante. Carmen me reservó dentro de una hora de la solicitud y su hermano arregló todo en el albergue y los traslados y siempre estuvo allí para divertirnos después de la fiesta y para asegurarse de que todos se conocieran. ¡Vine solo y en el último minuto y lo pasé genial! No busque más. Este es el lugar para estar! ¡No puedo esperar a volver chicos!

Me vine a tarifa a realizar un curso de kitesurf este verano. El trato de Carmen, la encargada de la escuela de kitesurf fue genial. Estuvo en todo momento en comunicación con nosotros e informando de las condiciones del viento.
El curso de kitesurf, nos lo dio Pedro, fue muy paciente y lo explico todo súper bien, aprendimos mucho con el.

The entire journey lead by the family business (Carmen & Dani) has been an exciting and marvellous time. Indeed, Carmen is always available via WhatsApp to schedule the adequate time slot for your lesson -based on your level. I would highly recommend to book lesson here if you want to start with kite surfing or look for new technics. Javi has been a pedagogic teacher. If you are French speaker, I would also recommend to book a lesson with Patrice. However, the entire team is terrific. Thank you for this adventure with you.

Hice un día de curso con mi pareja para refrescar la seguridad y los conocimientos después de varios años sin hacer kite. Dani además de enseñar super bien y ser divertido, supo ver exactamente lo que necesitábamos y nos centramos en cómo ayudarnos el uno al otro cuando navegáramos solos. Y la comunicación con Carmen también super cercana y sin complicaciones! Lo pasamos genial! Muchas gracias chicos sois los mejores!

Fantastic kitesurfing experience in September. Carmen was very efficient and ensured I could do my lessons in optimum wind. Instructions were clear and helpful and felt safe the whole time.

Due to miscommunication there were no instructors available so Carmen drafted aome in from another school, which was appreciated and ensured I could progress.

All in all a great experience with this school.

Navegando en Los Lances (en una zona libre, no de escuela) a uno de sus alumnos se le cae por accidente la comenta encima de una persona. Cuando consiguen salir del agua y recoger kites y líneas (ayudándose el uno al otro), ven que las lineas de la cometa del alumno de Rebels Tarifa se han roto.
El instructor se acerca a los dos y le dice al chico sobre el que ha caído la cometa tendrá que pagar 150€ para arreglar las líneas porque no lleva seguro y le AMENAZA CON RAJAR SU KITE si no lo paga…el chico le dice que no va a pagarlo porque ha sido un accidente del que no es culpable (ya que estaba downwind respecto del alumno y no podía ver la cometa cayendo encima de él y, obviamente, no pudo esquivarla)
En fin…

After only having steered a kite twice before, Dani brought me up and running downwind on a kiteboard. Very individual class (shared the "semiprivado" with my brother) and truly patient and friendly teacher.

I was always under the impression that Dani had it all under control while staying cool. We had some strong winds (up to 20 knots and 35 knot gusts) and still - with the will to learn, some stamina and the teaching of the "Rebels" it never ceased to amaze me!

Thumbs up, we will be back!

Carmen is very talented managing the schedule. She is an expert in forecasting ensuring we get the most out of our lessons. She is a very good communicator always keeping us up to date and going the extra mile when needed.

Pedro is the best and most fun instructor I could have wished for. His clam way of teaching and his excitement for kitesurfing made me fall for this sport. He is a kitesurfing master understanding every detail of it. Most importantly he is able to pass the skills on by paying close attention, giving clear instructions and challenging in the right moments. He for sure will celebrate every success and not be discouraged by setbacks.

The equipment is in perfect shape. The prices are more than reasonable and the classes are often extended. I love that the Rebels team helps us out and gives us advices even when training on our own.

Hola Rebels, estuve alojada en el hostel finales de septiembre 2020, la situación es estupenda, súper céntrico y cerca de todo, el hostel está muy bien con 2 plantas y la terraza enorme en la azotea, con unas preciosas vistas, muy buen ambiente, las chicas de recepción encantadoras y tengo que dar las gracias a Dani por su trato maravilloso, tuvimos la oportunidad de pasar un rato muy agradable y divertido con él y además tuvo el detalle de dejarnos la hora de salida de la habitación algo más tarde. Sin duda volveremos, fue corto pero muy divertido. Muchas gracias por todo Raquel.

Si queréis disfrutar de esta experiencia y aprender en tiempo récord, es la escuela perfecta. Nos hemos sentido muy bien atendidos por el instructor “Pedro“, un auténtico crack, súper paciente y sabiendo lo que se hace en cada momento. No es un deporte fácil y cuando es la primera vez tienes algunos momentos de inseguridad, la clave ha sido tener a alguien con experiencia a nuestro lado que nos ha hecho perder el miedo, dejar de bloquearnos y poder seguir aprendiendo. Would really recommend, very friendly, kites and boards all fine. Really helpful and kept in good contact when the wind was a bit hit and miss. Our instructor Pedro was great, we’d not done it for a couple of years and he was very patient while we remembered the basics. Danni even helped us get a sandwich on the way home! Thanks guys

A fantastic, family run, kitesurfing school. Our teacher Pedro was patient, a good communicator and a very skilled teacher and kitesurfer - we felt we were in very safe and able hands throughout. Communication was excellent from the day of enquiry, some months before we visited Tarifa, and throughout our holiday. We have returned home having caught the kitesurfing bug and are keen to get back out on a kite as soon as possible.

Amazing experience with the kitesurfing school Rebels Tarifa.

First of all the school is well organized. Carmen took care of the organization and every evening would let me know the time we would meet the day after so that the lessons start when the conditions on the beach are the best for kitesurfing.

The instructor taught me kitesurfing is Pedro. He is a very experienced kitesurfer, very patient and thoughtful. He gave me tons of tips observing me from distance in order to check what I could improve. In 5 days of lessons (1 semi-private and 4 private) I improved my skills in an impressive way. I do not think that I could achieve the same with other instructors. I totally recommend few private or semi private lessons with him. Also, time in water is very generous. If the lesson is 2 hours, it is at least 2 hours in water and not 2 hours with the preparation as other schools do.

Finally, all the Rebels Tarifa team is a very friendly group that got the extra mile to make your experience unforgettable.

Best Kitesurfing school in Tarifa!

I've had a great experience learning to Kitesurf with Dani. Very professional, friendly and patient!

I've had a few lessons and this is the best school by far. No clock watching, no time wasting and my 2 hour lessons have all run for at least 2½ or 3 hours.

I've been taught everything I need to know to go independent from launching the kite, safety procedures, body dragging upwind, board recovery, self rescue and of course riding upwind!

I'd recommend to anyone!

I had a really fun and amazing week at rebels kite school. Conditions were quite challenging with big waves and changing wind. Nevertheless thanks to Dany, the owner of rebels, I always had the right kite and lines and learned a lot about choosing the correct kites and trimming it and at the end of the week was smoothly going back and forth on the water though the waves! The team was fun and helpful all week. Hope to be back soon!

Super dedicated, relaxed and friendly team that works well together to make your stay a unique experience. I am super glad that I spent 4 days with Carmen, Dany, Maria and especially our instructor Pedro. He explained everything super patiently to us beginners and we were always in the best mood! Have been renting out kites for a week while my friend took courses.
The equipment is in perfect condition and the latest models are available.
Kites like the North Dice fit to more advanced riders whereas the Neo is the perfect match for beginners.

BTW: Complementary to the Kite School, the Rebels Hostel offers the perfect accommodation for a stay in Tarifa. Same Stuff over there.
