Río Real Golf & Hotel - Marbella

El campo de golf de clase que solo se jugó no fue muy pintoresco y fue una buena prueba para los golfistas.

Acabo de regresar de una estancia increíble en el Rio Real Golf Hotel. El servicio de principio a fin fue brillante. Todo el equipo, desde el personal de seguridad, recepcionistas, gerentes, personal de limpieza, etc, fue brillante.
El hotel es precioso y tranquilo (sólo 30 habitaciones muy bonitas) y la ubicación está alejada de todo el ruido turístico de Marbella.
El hotel en sí está impecable. ¡Muy bien hecho y, sinceramente, tiene la mejor ducha que hemos experimentado en todos nuestros años de viaje! ¡Estamos muy emocionados de ver cómo será su nuevo club de playa!

Nuestra experiencia en el Río Real Golf Hotel ha sido excepcional y queremos agradecer a todo el equipo del hotel su amabilidad y profesionalidad. Hace mucho tiempo que no nos hacían sentir tan bien en nuestras vacaciones en agosto en ningún sitio de España.
Es un hotel boutique en el que desde el primer momento te tratan como si fueras su único cliente. Los clientes son lo más importante y te cuidan y miman en todo momento.
La ubicación es inmejorable: rodeada de los magníficos jardines del campo de golf y junto a la playa. Una playa tranquila y muy familiar. Además el centro de Marbella está a un paso en coche.
Sin lugar a duda recomendamos este hotel a todos aquellos que quieran disfrutar de un lugar tranquilo, precioso y donde cuidan al máximo los detalles.

Ayer estuve jugando en el campo de golf y quería compartir mi mala experiencia. Llame el día anterior para preguntar expresamente por el estado del campo, y la respuesta fue “perfecto”. Todo iba bien hasta llegar al hoyo 11 cuando vemos una máquina vertiendo arena (mucha) sobre el green del hoyo 12 que estábamos a punto de jugar, no daba crédito así que espere a llegar al green para confirmarlo, efectivamente el green estaba completamente lleno de areno lo que lo hizo injugable. Llame a la casa club y lo comenté. Una vez terminada la vuelta y después de que el ante green del 17 y el green del 18 estuviesen igualmente cubiertos del arena lo comenté en la casa club. Muy amablemente me intentaron convencer que es lo más normal del mundo, que por mantenimiento se eche arena en los greenes independientemente de si hay jugadores en el campo o no, yo jamas lo había visto, y que lo del hoyo 12 fue un error de cálculo porque no tuvieron tiempo de pasar el rulo para retirar la arena. Como a mi no me convencía me dijeron si quería hablar con el jefe de marshalls y repondré que si, pues sólo hable con un chicho muy amable (la persona del pro shop fue igualmente muy amable y educada en todo momento) porque el jefe de marshall decidió que no se iba a dignar en darse la vuelta (estaba allí delante hablando con alguien pero estaba oyendo mi conversación), lamentable actitud de este señor. Una pena porque el diseño es de los que más me gustan pero en mi opinión no es de recibo que esto ocurra en un campo comercial

¡Cada vez que juego en el campo de golf Río Real parece mejorar cada vez más! Me encanta el curso y la gente es muy servicial y amigable. Como siempre, el campo en sí estaba en magníficas condiciones. Los greens eran fabulosos y los bunkers estaban hermosamente preparados y cuidados. Siempre es un placer jugar en este campo, mi campo favorito a 45 minutos de donde nos hospedamos. ¡Máximas calificaciones otra vez Río Real!

Boutique Hotel súper bien ubicado en el medio de un campo de Golf. A 10 minutos de Marbella es una excelente opción para quien busca tranquilidad sin dejar de estar muy cerca de todas las opciones de ocio de Marbella / Puerto Banus.
Habitaciones grandes y muy confortables.
Personal súper simpático y disponible, pero escaso y sin capacidad para dar servicio después de las 19: 00 (una pena).
La zona de la piscina es un encanto y tiene la mejor hamburguesa de España!

Tanto el trato del servicio del hotel como las instalaciones sorprenden muy gratamente. Fuimos con dos de nuestras hijas pequeñas y los detalles (fruta en la habitación, chocolatinas…) y el cariño con el que nos han tratado han hecho que pasemos unos días estupendos. La comida del restaurante también es muy buena, lo recomendamos.

Experiencia decepcionante en Río Real Golf

Recientemente tuve la desafortunada oportunidad de visitar Río Real Golf, y debo decir que mi experiencia dejó mucho que desear. Desde el momento en que llegué, era evidente que el personal carecía de amabilidad y profesionalismo básico. Su actitud hacia los clientes fue desagradable y humedeció el ambiente general.

El estacionamiento fue una auténtica pesadilla. No había instalaciones de estacionamiento adecuadas, lo que obligaba a los clientes a luchar por lugares y causaba estrés e inconvenientes innecesarios. Es realmente desalentador ver tal falta de planificación y consideración por la comodidad de los visitantes.

La condición del campo de golf era pésima, por decir lo menos. A pesar del elevado precio, el campo se encontraba en un estado lamentable, exhibiendo un mantenimiento deficiente y una falta general de cuidado. Estaba muy lejos de la calidad que uno esperaría de un establecimiento supuestamente de buena reputación, lo que hace que los precios exorbitantes parezcan completamente injustificados.

Lo que realmente me decepcionó fue el desprecio flagrante del personal por los comentarios de los clientes. Parecían desinteresados ​​en atender las quejas, mostrando una actitud ignorante y desdeñosa hacia las preocupaciones genuinas planteadas por los visitantes. Es increíblemente frustrante ser ignorado y tratado con tanta indiferencia.

Además, la comida que se ofrecía en el campo de golf era muy cara. La falta de relación calidad-precio fue evidente en los precios exorbitantes cobrados por la calidad inferior y las opciones de menú poco inspiradoras. Es desalentador ver tal aumento de precios sin ofrecer una experiencia gastronómica memorable.

En general, mi experiencia en Río Real estuvo lejos de ser satisfactoria. El personal antipático y poco profesional, el estacionamiento inadecuado, el campo caro y mal mantenido, y el total desprecio por las quejas de los clientes contribuyen a una visita desafortunada y decepcionante. Les advierto a otros que no visiten este campo de golf a menos que se realicen mejoras significativas para corregir estos problemas.

El curso fue realmente agradable. Creo que los greens podrían haber sido un poco mejores, ¡pero supongo que se juegan mucho! Podría volver, pero hay otros en el área que priorizaría.

Jugó 1 ronda en uno de los GC más antiguos de la zona. Los greens son excelentes, los tees de salida necesitan atención. Curso bien establecido con el cuarto y 100 metros de la playa. Use los postes marcadores rojos para la posición, especialmente en la décima pata de perro.lo jugaria todos los dias

Very nice golf course. It's not so long but instead it requires you to plan your approach to be able to get close to the pin. The greens was excellent at our visit but the grass tee's was not. If the tee boxes would be better I would rank this course higher. Great service at arrival and in the restaurant after the round. After nine holes you come back to the club house and are able to buy more drinks and something to eat. No bar buggy on the course, at least not when we played.

The buggies are good but no GPS in them. Doesn''t matter to much if you are using an app on your phone to get the layout of the holes. Otherwise it will be difficult to understand where to land your tee shot in the best possible spot.

Rio Real also offers discount for junior players, not so common in Marbella. That's a very nice bonus for families visiting.

Design on the course was okey but the condition was not good. Tees were full of sand, ranch was terrible and some blind shots

The best is the staff. Very kind and helpful all the time.
The golf course is in great conditions, though due to its age its very close to the highway and houses and gets a bit tight and narrow.
Rooms are a bit dark but very spacious. The thin walls and ceilings makes every other door closed or moved furniture nearby sound like a slam in the hell.

Really nice hotel with a really nice golf course on the doorstep. It has a decent putting g and short game.practice area. Driving range is a short walk away. Rooms were high quality as was the service. Small pool but perfect for a post round dip. Would stay there again.

After playing aprx. 15 courses in Costa del sol, this is the favourite one.
Variable holes, long enough, beautiful scenery.
Great club House.
Located 5 minutes from Marbella down town.
Played in July, good condition. Caddie master accepted reservation by phone.

Restaurant/menu/food was better last time visited.

They have a great lounge, very comfortable especially for the winter months. The indoor dining area is lovely, and the terrace has a splendid seating area, lovely views, it's shaded during the summer months so you can have lunch comfortably. The food is good, the waiters are friendly. The golf course itself is worth playing, all in all - recommend - you should go and have a good time.

Stayed three nights, played twice, great and very beautiful course, well kept and varied. Nice small hotel, big rooms quite nice atmosphere, and compared to other parts of Marbella, almost no traffic noise (except from the holes going all the way to the ocean). Restaurant with typical golf restaurantmenu in good quality. Nice breakfast. Very service minded and smiling staff.

El sitio es original y con buen calidad. Solo FALLA en la musica tan alta que hay en el salón del club social. Es muy invasiva y poco agradable.

Un lugar para poder descansar y jugar al golf en un campo precioso, tiene un bar donde tiene una carta variada para picar algo.

Golf Rio Real es un campo muy agradable para disfrutar del recorrido bien andando o en buggy y con magnificos greenes. Cuenta con una bonita arboleda y vistas únicas a la sierra de Marbella. Desde los hoyos 4 y 5 ofrecen unas inmejorables vistas al mar. Al termino del hoyo 9 hay un bar para tomar refresco/tapas y coger fuerzas para el resto del recorrido. Equipo profesional y siempre de ayuda. Cuentan con campo de prácticas, bar y restaurante.

The course contrary to some reviews was in good condition apart from a couple of tee boxes. Greens very fast and very unforgiving. Hotel itself is excellent, wonderful staff throughout. Rooms very very spacious and comfortable, all with views of the 11th signature hole. Would not hesitate to recommend.

We live in Marbella and always recommend golf friends to stay at the hotel. The rooms are nicely decorated and have a lovely terrace overlooking the golf course. We love playing the course, it’s well maintained and a beautiful course to play. We have had lunch and dinner in the restaurant before and they are both good.

El hotel cuenta con unas excelentes habitaciones, amplias y cómodas con vistas al hoy 11 del campo de Golf. El servicio es estupendo y del campo solo se puede hablar bien. Un recorrido clásico del año 1965, amplias calles delimitadas por una extensa arboleda que configura el recorrido. Recientemente se ha reformado el hoyo 4 y se ha creado un entorno de gran belleza visual junto al mar. Os lo recomiendo.

Disgusted to not be warned their were thieves operating around the golf course. Friends lost engagement ring and over 300 euros in cash. Course management just said to report to police. Absolute joke. So angry.

This is one course that you have to play in the Marbella area, lovely clubhouse and the course is absolutely amazing very mature with a great selection of holes, the greens and the fairways are excellent it's not the cheapest course to play but well worth the money, the staff in the restaurant and course are very professional and helpful

After 2 previous visits to what I would consider to be one of the best courses on the Costa del sol our golf group were left very disappointed with the present condition of the course. Fairways and tees were well below standards expected for such a prestigious club. It was the most expensive of the courses we played but in comparison to the other less expensive ones it was way below our expectations. Certainly off the list for next year.

Review for September 2021 of golf course and clubhouse: Lovely clubhouse and welcoming staff. Unfortunately the course was in very poor condition. Tee boxes like a ploughed field, fairways covered in scour marks and like sponges, breaking up as soon as the club hits them; like playing out of a bunker. Greens probably the best part of the course but quite slow. Not down to the weather as played 3 other courses over 4 days (la cala x 2 & Mijas Los Lagos) and they were in good condition in fact Rio Real was most expensive.
A real shame as a great layout and some great holes. Will give it a miss for a few years and hopefully it improves.

What is going on at Rio Real golf? It is INCREDIBLE that they have the gall to still be charging full price for golf there: the course is in terrible condition with at least 2 holes completely closed, replaced with pathetic par 3 holes crammed into the first 9.

Rio real closed the two important holes of the course, they will be closed for longer time!
The owner will reply on this message with a story about par72 and par68. The truth is that the course is in terrible condition and that the two holes are not longer available, on top of that they squeezed the two missing holes on the rest of the course which is also a big disappointment.

For the price of €50 probably OK, but it is going downhill which is really unfortunate as it used to be our favourite course. It feels a bit unloved with tired tees which need a water and general signage looks like it could do with a refresh. Not sure if just going through a little patch or they are waiting for the busier months to pull their finger out.

Este hotel ocupa un rincón mágico en la entrada de Marbella. Pero es que aparte de su situación privilegiada, cuenta con un restaurante de primer orden atendido de forma extraordinaria. La cocina de mercado no deja de sorprenderte cuando la degustas desde la magnífica terraza que da a uno de los mejores campos de golf de la Costa del Sol. Si tiene ocasión regalense un almuerzo en el restaurante del hotel Río Real. De nada.

Buenas tardes, lo que me ha pasado hoy en este campo es de vergüenza
Acompaño a mi hijo que tiene 13 años, a que juegue los primeros nueve hoyos del Campo, al llegar al hoyo tres que es un par tres, mi hijo está en green, y veo que un señor y su mujer que son dos sin vergüenzas empiezas a hacernos señales para que aligeremos.
Mi hijo está pateando y le pasa una bola a un metro escaso, este pedazo de sin vergüenza tira la bola sin esperar.
Seguimos para el hoyo 4 y cuando estamos en la mitad de la calle veo que tira su bola y nos adelanta con su mujer, llamo al club por teléfono contando lo sucedido y vienen ellos mismos a ver lo que ha pasado, me dicen que es socio y que es todo mentira
Resumiendo lo sucedido, este sin vergüenza y su mujer que es más sin vergüenza que él, han estado muy cerca de que pasará algo grave,
Con respecto al club, han demostrado que son unos impresentables de mucho cuidado y no han estado a la altura de lo sucedido.
Hay campos mucho mejores que este y con mayor atención

Golf course is great layout, greens are quick and subtle breaks. Shame the fairways had been scarified, needs more grass growth. Bar is pleasant however not cheap.

Uno de los mejores hoteles de la costa del sol. Lo recomiendo para eventos también, muy adecuado.

Entorno precioso rodeado de campos de golf El hotel esta algo abticuado pero con habitaciones grandes, espaciosas y bonitas vistas al campo de golf

Este campo de 18 hoyos diseñado por Javier Arena es uno de los clásicos de Marbella, se asienta en un terreno con una pendiente suave que se desliza hasta el mar, por lo que muchos de sus hoyos ofrecen magníficas vistas sobre el Mediterráneo.

El recorrido destaca por su naturaleza, no es accidentado y en su trazado se cruza cuatro veces el río que da nombre al club. Los greenes son en general bastante llanos, muy bien cuidados y protegidos por los bunkers que los circundan.

Campazo con todas las letras. Diseño espectacular. Greens muy bien cuidados. Se nota el cuidado en el más minimo detalle incluso en la zona de rough. Precio algo alto, pero sin duda merece la pena poder disfrutarlo.

Lugar perfecto para desconectar, jugar al golf (campo muy divertido), comer bien y descansar. Volveremos

They have had shocking weather and storm damage so the course is struggling in December 2018. Well managed the only course we played all week that gave a slow 4 ball holding us all back the hurry up. Respect for that. Greens scarily fast even in these conditions so must be awesome in the dry. Will come back.

It's a gorgeous, luxurious hotel. Large room, bathroom and veranda. There is a small pool and relax area. Huge golf court that leads you to the beach.

Pues yo tuve una experiencia horrible porque nos robaron dentro de la habitación por la noche. El hotel no nos ayudó nada durante la denuncia del robo y los de seguridad pasaron completamente de nosotros. Esto me hizo desconfiar y sigo pensando que fue alguien del hotel. PÉSIMO SITIO

My experience was horrible because I had my money stolen inside the room and the hotel didn’t offer any help. Security guys were useless and make me feel that someone from the hotel was involved. Do not go there.

Un lugar muy acogedor, con muy buenas vistas, y un campo de golf fabuloso con muy buenos servicios. Ojo, el bolsillo hay que llevarlo muy bien preparado

Our group had some and I noticed blood coming out of the side it was raw inside so I told the rest of my playing partners and they were all the same, so we sent them back and they came back with fresh buns unfortunately I was just finishing when I noticed a piece missing from my burger where one of my group had taken a bite out of it

Amazing area. The best of Marbella, lived by the high net wealth families, the majority from Belgium, British and kiwaities. The course for Golf is one of the best in all Costa del sol! Quiet and close to the beach, the famous Trocadero beach club.
