Solana de Granada - Climbing & Outdoor Hostel

Lugar increíble lleno de personas maravillosas, si quieres desconectar de la ciudad , o de tu vida , es el sitio ideal , lugar especial para amantes de la escalada, highline, slackline, senderismo , ideal para meditar, practicar yoga o acroyoga, y sacar lo mejor de ti gracias a las personas de las que te rodean allí, gente pura con el alma limpia .

Tiene todo lo que necesitaba, cama comoda, ducha, cocina, escalada.
Aparte, como todos los albergues, donde los espacios son compartidos, ya depende de la suerte, con que desconocidos te encuentres. La mia fue buena, todos en el albergue muy simpaticos y amables.

Si eres un escalador o una persona que practica actividades al aire libre y buscas a otras personas con quienes conectarte o necesitas un asegurador, ¡este es un lugar increíble para encontrarlos! El albergue está a poca distancia de MUCHOS riscos (incluidos muchos lugares para escalar en el risco del patio trasero del hostal) y es más accesible en coche. El albergue cuenta con equipo disponible para alquiler y un chat grupal de WhatsApp donde puedes coordinarte con otros. Todo el personal/voluntarios con los que interactué fueron muy amables y serviciales, al igual que los demás huéspedes. Este albergue era un pequeño hogar perfecto lejos del hogar para escaladores y personas amantes del aire libre.

Me alojé en Solana De Granada durante 5 días.
Un albergue de escalada tranquilo, relajante y feliz en las colinas de Granada.
Está dirigido por un grupo de voluntarios que también viven en la propiedad, son las personas más amables, muy tranquilas y dispuestas a ayudar en todo lo posible. ¡A todos ellos también les encanta escalar!
Nunca había escalado antes, sin embargo, probé Boulder con un tipo tan agradable llamado Adrian (todos lo llaman Bambi) y ¡la experiencia fue muy divertida! Recomiendo probarlo también y además recomiendo totalmente el Hostel. Volveré.

Limpio, divertido, tranquilo y relajante. Gran seguridad, casilleros, buenos colchones, buena cocina, MUY limpia y muchas actividades para hacer. Ojalá hubiera más actividades grupales, sin embargo, el personal es tan acogedor que es fácil encontrar cosas que hacer. Altamente recomendado.

Vine por algunas noches, terminé extendiendo e incluso regresando un par de semanas después. Un lugar muy encantador. Inmediatamente me sentí como en casa, con un gran grupo de personas (tanto invitados como personal), hermosos alrededores y fantásticas escaladas y caminatas. ¡No podría recomendar este lugar lo suficiente!

After traveling all day to the hostel, I come to find there is no one to check me in, which is totally fine and normal.
I waited and responded to the worker over email “Dan” saying that I have arrived, and he responded saying he’ll be down in 15 minutes to check me in.
I waited 45-50 minutes to be checked in only for him to email me to move all my stuff into a room and he’ll check me in later.
When I walked in the room there was stuff everywhere and clearly someone had been there awhile.
I waited outside with my things for another 30 minutes wondering if Dan was coming back anytime soon.
I emailed him and THEN he tells me that they’re closed for check in from 2pm-5pm and “I think I’ll be back at 5: 30pm. ”
I arrived at the hostel at 2: 45pm.
I checked on Hostel World and it says check in is from 10am-8pm and to notify someone if you’re arriving before or after those times.
So either Dan was lying or the information needs to be updated on the website.
I can’t say much about the hostel itself, but I’m sure it’s nice place and it is a beautiful location with mountains.
But it’s highly inappropriate to make a guest wait over an hour and a half to then be told it’s closed for check in because you’re to busy rock climbing.
Needless to say, I left the hostel without checking in and it was a waste of my day.

Excellente auberge! Le personnel est très aimable et serviable. La propreté irréprochable. Que dire des voies d’escalades partout autour…

Precioso el lugar, me faltaron muchísimas fotos para describir lo acogedor que es. 100% recomendado s las personas que buscan un lugar alejado del ruido de la ciudad, pero al mismo tiempo a 25min de ella.

- La primera vez que vine aquí me llamaron un voluntario. A. Quejarse de la presión de trabajo.
-Es muy grosera con otro nuevo voluntario.
Ella le deja hacer el trabajo y me pide un rato para unas cigarritas con la explicación de que quiere devolvérselas por la tarde.
Después de comprar sus cigarrillos no volvió a decir nada.

- Robaron comida y vino en este albergue.
- Empecé a hablar con el voluntario U. Sobre esto. Le dije que volvería y que pondría mis pensamientos en una revisión si este ciclo de malentendidos aún continúa.

Así que regresé después de dos semanas y este albergue es un desastre. Sucio por todas partes. Las cocinas y la ducha estaban todas sucias.

Podría ser un lugar mejor si todo estuviera bien organizado.

Parece que los voluntarios no están contentos y bastante estresados.

Entonces al final este lugar tiene un problema en la comunicación y el resultado es un bucle de malentendidos.

Excelente albergue! El personal es muy amistoso y útil. Limpieza impecable. ¿Qué podemos decir de las rutas de escalada por todos lados.

Miriam, Edu, and the team have created the most awesome little oasis up in the mountains near Granada. Awesome climbing lessons, beautiful hikes, and just total tranquility. Can't recommend it enough if you're looking to get out into nature and disconnect a little (though the wifi is surprisingly good if you need it!).
Cogollos itself is a really charming little town, which a few shops, bars, and restaurants, but mostly fits nicely with its peaceful surroundings.
Will absolutely be back to climb next year. Thanks again guys.

Amazing location for hiking, climbing or just relaxing in nature. Small and super sweet hostel. It has a special place in my heart because I made some good friends here.

A very good hostel, in an incredible location with 10/10 hosts.
A perfect union of nature, sustainability and community.

En ese lugar existe trabajadores ilegales.
En cuanto ví el precio por dormir en una habitación de dos metros cuadrados con otras 6 personas vi que era infrahumano.
¡Lo peor esque llegar allí es un infierno! Y haber quien puede darse la Vuelta para salir de allí.
Si queréis pasarlo mal este es vuestro sitio.

Wonderfully welcoming environment and staff. The volunteers were super sweet, helpful, and made the experience all the better. This oasis was a tucked in the hills above the city, but also an easy bus ride to town. Got some great climbing, hiking and bunk mate bonding time. Will definitely cherish this experience.

Best hostel I have ever stayed at! Stunning location, wonderfully relaxed and yet adventurous people and hosts - it felt like home:)

Just amazing. Was planning to stay just for a couple of days, do the multipitch course, and leaving again. Ended up staying for two weeks. The place was just so nice. Beautiful area with beautiful climbing crags with grades for all levels. I would 100% recommend doing a climbing course with the owner. He is very passionate about climbing and is a true coach. Whatever course you pick it will make you a better climber. I will be coming back to this place

Solana de Granada is a little paradise, you will feel part of a big family there and the spot is incredible, many places to climb or to hike. Also Edu and Miriam are lovely, passionate and they will recommand you what you need to know to enjoy Spain!

I had an amazing Exprience staying here at Solana De Granda! The hosts Edu and Miri are amazing! And lets not forget Joey!
The rooms are very clean and tidy, Miri and Edu do a great job to keep the place super nice.the hostel has a really nice family feel to it, Edu and Miri spend time with the guests so you really get to know the place and the people.
Between them they have a wealth of climbing knowledge which they are extremely happy to share with you, it is a true climber paradise with a crag in the garden and another just 10 minutes walk! I cannot fault this hostel at all! Do not hesitate to book your stay here!

This is an excellent place to stay and a wonderful base for many climbing adventures! There are beautiful crags within walking distance as well as some nice hikes. There are also a lot of other climbing spots that make for good day trips if you have a car. It is homie, exceptionally clean and the owners are very friendly. I ended up staying here on three different occasions during my 6 weeks in Spain because I liked it so much!
