SolAuto Rent a Car Torrox

¡Problema con el depósito no reembolsado durante casi un mes! Cambiaré de opinión si es necesario porque quedamos satisfechos con esta agencia de alquiler pero ahora, si este problema no se resuelve, ¡será ROBO! Y para confirmar no nos reembolsaron. A evitar !

Eva fue excelente y explicó todo lo relacionado con el alquiler, que fue un buen precio, tomó muchas fotos de los daños, no olvide tomar el suyo también, el seguro completo no fue demasiado caro y siempre vale la pena tomarlo llévatelo de vuelta. El messure de un buen lugar de alquiler de coches. Regresé el automóvil una y otra vez, el servicio rápido fue tan fácil de dejar como de recoger, así que cambié mi puntaje a 5. El depósito se reembolsó cuando dejamos el automóvil, como siempre con los reembolsos, tardó 3 días en llegar a la cuenta

No te sentiras decepcionado trabajando con ellos, son muy profesionales y serios en su trabajo, volvería a utilizar sus servicios

Local and friendly car rental company.

Rented twice car from here, first 7 day rental that I reserved online before the vacation, all went well besides that airline changed flight departure so my handover greeting was missed. Returning the car was small hickup when sundays the office was closed in torrox, so I returned the car the next day as adviced by the company.

Second rental I needed car for 1 day and directly booked car from torrox costa office. Friendly worker made the reservation easy. Return was quick and without any hassle.

Not all local rental car companies are bad, atleast this is not from this experience.

Problème de caution non remboursée depuis presque un mois! Je changerai mon avis si nécessaire car nous étions satisfaits ce cette agence de location mais là, si ce problème n’est pas réglé, ce sera du VOL!

Acabei de alugar um carro (Smart) a senhora Eva muito atenciosa e o carro muito bom.
Fizemos 660 km em 3 dias sem qualquer problema.

Don’t use this company. They don’t return deposits also they charge your card without your consent. Horrible service and would never recommend to anyone. GO ANYWHERE ELSE.

DONT RENT A CAR IF YOU DONT WANT TO LOOSE ALL OF YOUR MONEY. We rented a car and they wanted a 350 euro deposit. They dont give the deposit back but not only that they took 1200 euro from the card somehow without any PIN or CVV of the card. Dont give them any credit cards or they will take all your money!

As you can see in their reply, they don't speak english at all and they don't know how to say even in Spanish "We apologize for our incompetence! "

They are always late.

They are late when you pick-up the car.
They are late when you have to return the car and you risk to loose the airplane.
They asked for 500€ deposit at pick-up, but it was nothing written about this deposit in the reservation. They told me that they will return the deposit in the day when I return the car. They returned the deposit 3 weeks later.

Most of their employees don't know english.

I don't reccomend this company and I will never rent cars from them again.

I will draft a complaint to the consumer protection authority.

The booking form was simple to navigate and hopefully all will be quick and easy when I pick up the car in Torrox Costa tomorrow morning.

The day before rental I got an email with double price! Absolutely rip off despite reservation more than month in advance

Location à prix avantageux, avec un kilométrage intéressant pour 4 jours.
La secrétaire à la réception parle bien l'Anglais mais pas le Français.
Smart 4 portes automatiques intéressantes. Bien.

Me alquila un coche un señor que no domina español, tarda mas de los 15 minutos del parking express, teniendo que pagar 3,75€de parking, con un piloto trasero roto que no anota, por si cuela y lo arreglo yo. La fianza de 300 €, aun no me la han devuelto. Me han colgado el tfno varias veces por reclamar lo mio. Son unos impresentables. Trato y calidad del servicio en números negativos.

NUNCA MAS RESERVO CON ESTA GENTE.
Reservé un coche para recoger en el aeropuerto de Málaga. No tienen oficina, vienen y te entregan el coche conduciendolo ellos mismos y te dan la llave.
Vehiculo sin desinfectar.
Vehiculo con bastantes desperfectos.
1/4 de gasolina.
Coche sucio y antiguo, la radio tampoco funcionaba.
Mala educación tanto por teléfono como por WhatsApp. Muy poca seriedad.
Para mas colmo, quiso cobrarme 20€ más de lo que habia fijado en la reserva y al ver que le corregí, hizo como que se habia confundido.
ADEMÁS HIZO FOTOS A MI TARJETA DE CREDITO SIN MI PERMISO

Aunque lo que me ha pasado a mí no tiene porque sucederle a todo el mundo, pero la verdad es que a mí me han fastidiado bien el día.

Había reservado un coche cuatro días antes, y cuando me presento recogerlo me dicen que ya no tienen coches disponibles, que mi reserva es como si no lo hubiera hecho, y además yo había reservado el coche para devolverlo el domingo en la oficina de Torrox, y me dicen que en (Torrox) no abren y que como mínimo hasta el lunes no podría devolverlo tampoco.

Al tratarse de una fecha en que la demanda de coches de alquiler es muy alta, razón por la cual había reservado con anticipación, no pude alquilar coche en ningún otro lugar.

Me fastidiaron bien el viaje.

Servicio de recogida y devolución perfecto. Empleados muy amables y profesionales. Precios muy, muy razonables. Pero casi imposible de contactar con los despachos (tiempo de espera 3h00!). Coche recibido básico, con problemas de dirección, amortiguadores y un poco vetusto: más de 60.000 km.

After booking they sent us a reservation number, but once we arrived, there was no one at the airport. The customer service agent told us our reservation number doesnt show up in their system and that they didn't have any cars available, forcing us to rent a vehicle at another company for about double the cost.
They also offered us no assistance in getting another rental.

Very unprofessional, at the very least they should have notified us beforehand if they cannot fulfill the reservation.

We intended to rent a car this week at SolAuto for our holiday. The booking went very smooth and the customer service was very helpful and reacted almost immediately. A few weeks before we would arrive, we had to change the booking which was no problem at all, again the customer service was very helpful. A day before we would have leaved to Malaga we had to go into quarantine because a roommate had covid. We could not travel to Spain and we had to cancel the booking, which was no problem at all. I am very satisfied with SolAuto's customer service and will definately rent a car next time when we actually go to Malaga!

After renting several Cars for one year, six or seven times at least, we had a problem with a car. It broke down in the middle of the Highway, not far away from Marbella. We had to wait three hours and half that insurance company sent a taxi to the location at 40 degrees. The car had a problem with the gear box. After suffering that unpleasent service they accused us of having broken the car and they wanted us to pay 200 euros. This is my experience with this company.
Después de alquilar coches durante un año, al menos seis o siete veces, tuvimos un problema con un coche. Se rompió en medio de la autopista, cerca de Marbella. Tuvimos que esperar tres horas y media a que el seguro enviará un taxi a la ubicación en medio de ningún lugar a 40 grados. El coche tenia un problema con la caja de cambios. Después de sufrir está desagradable servicio nos acusaron de haber roto el coche, no saber conducir y querían que les pagaramos 200 euros. Esta es mi experiencia con esta empresa.

I booked a car weeks ahead and they cancelled 2 days before without any explanation. After calling multiple times, it turns out they only had a car in a higher class and didn't want to give it to us! Completely unreliable and horrible customer service! And the Nerja office does not exist!

Solauto rent a car is for sure a most use service, they attended me in a very polite way. Also, their prices are very reasonable and there are no hidden prices.

Eva was great explained everything regarding the rental, which was a good price, she took lots of pics of damage don't forget to take your own as well, the full insurance was not over priced and is always worth taking, will update when I take it back. The messure of a good car rental place. Took the car back and again quick service as easy to drop off as it was to pick up so changed my score to a 5. Deposit refunded as we left the car, as always with refunds took 3 days to hit the account

Solautorentacar is an excellent service, they bring you the car new and they also have good prices. They are very well organized and the paper fill out is very easy.

Solo tres estrellas por una empleada muy prepotente atendiendo al público por teléfono. Cuando tenía reserva hecha por Internet x 39 € un coche pequeño y comfirmada. Según ella dijo que no estaba confirmado y me quería cobrar 65€. Como era urgente acepte reserva y cuando fui ha retirar vehículo había otra chica que entendió la reserva y me dio el precio de 45€ que había en Internet 17/9/19 día del alquiler.

The rent a car company, Solautorentacar has impressed me a lot. Not only because they have incredible price and cars, but also the way they treated me. This is the only service I liked in Torrox and one each I will never forget.

This is NOT the competition writing, but a frustrated customer and they know that very well. There are also numerous complaints on TripAdvisor of a similar nature. Do not defame honest reviewers! This is what happened:

Terribly rude. A person named Eva shouting with exclamation marks that she would not accomodate the customer in any way - not even in the off season when they have no customers at all.

Getting the car with a full tank is normal standard with any good rental car company, but I was rudely refused.

They claim "Free meet and greet" - and when you expect them to do it (5 minutes from their location), they will try to charge you €10.

When you pay for full insurance coverage, there should not be any deposit - instead they still charge you €300 extra, even the car the 100% insured (Vollkasko). There were also reviews saying that the deposit had not been refunded below.

With basic insurance you need to pay €800 deposit.

Also check all the horror stories people are describing on TripAdvisor. Cars breaking down, deposits not returned - Eva is often mentioned. Just put in "SolAuto" in the search bar and there is a whole forum thread. Go to the newest entries from 2019/2020 - one worse than the next.

Por motivos de tener el coche de un familiar en el taller, necesitamos alquilar un vehículo y, por cercanías nos parecía una buena opción. El trato fue bastante regular, pues, la señora que nos atendió no nos comentó la necesidad de una fianza hasta ya el momento de abonar el coche a pesar de pedirlo con el seguro más completo existente (400 euros de fianza). Aún así decidimos alquilarlo. El mismo día de alquilar el vehículo nos vimos con la sorpresa de que el vehículo averiado fue arreglado. Por la tarde llamé a la empresa para decirles si cabía la posibilidad de entregarlo aunque nos cobrasen algún tipo de penalización. La respuesta de la empresa fue que no, fue ¨q disfrutasen del vehículo durante ese tiempo. ¨ Recomiendo encarecidamente NO ALQUILAR ningún tipo de vehículo en esta empresa.

It's a scam! Thet don't pay the deposit back, don't answers mail. Everbody is always on "holiday". They hang up on you if you call them. STAY AWAY! I would give them 0 stars if I could.

No others company can't beat it, this is the best company I have seen yet! The staff is amazing and very helpful if something goes wrong. Their main goal is to make the customer happy and satisfied with the service.

Best company ever! I've never seen one with 24/7 service I am amazed. The staff is amazing but, above all, it's the fastest. If you have any problem, the staf will be helpful. I rate a 10/10.

Cannot give 0 stars.website says the car i booked is not available in Velez Malaga, but is available in Torrox (20€ transfer fee from torrox to velez malaga) so i book the car from Torrox (i had transportation to the pick-up site).

on the way to the pickup i get a call from SolAuto mentioning the car i booked is not availabel (was 228€) yet she can offer me a different, smaller, lesser car for 300€. Because the car i booked had been pre-booked in May already because it's high season.

DO NOT SHOW CARS THAT ARE NO LONGER AVAILABLE ON THE WEBSITE IF YOU DO NOT HAVE THEM AVAILABLE ANYMORE

I have never seen a company like this one! The staff is very very good. Best company so far with 5 star service.

The company cheats its customers! It does not return the deposit. After returning the car the contact stops and the deposit is not refunded!
