Big Game Fishing Yacht Sofia

Estábamos pescando hoy. ¡No recomendamos mucho! Si desea comprar una caminata de 4 horas en el océano, sin delfines, etc. Solo un paseo al precio de la pesca: estás aquí. Sin inodoro de hecho y agua para lavarse las manos. Lávese las manos, debe pedirle al capitán asistente que lo encienda por un tiempo. Pero lo principal es diferente. Ni siquiera me dieron la oportunidad de atraparlo. Dimos vueltas con curricán a lo largo de la costa. La pesca de fondo era para fugu. Menos de una hora. Se mudó tres veces. Y luego a casa. Está claro que no tuvimos nada que ver con el troleo. Acabo de mirar el océano. Algo como esto. Pérdida de tiempo y dinero y decepción.

Hablé con alguien sobre la pesca, quien dijo que enviaron detalles sobre cuándo y dónde pescaríamos, nunca tuvieron una respuesta y luego, una mañana, me contactaron y me dijeron que me estaban esperando. No tenía idea de a dónde ir, a qué hora y cuánto, evitaría todos los barcos de pesca alrededor de este puerto.

Probably the best fishing tour in Tenerife, and we can compare since we tried two other companies before Yate Sofia.

It starts right at the harbor, where the crew instantly makes you feel super welcomed, the boat is not the newest we have seen but its is really well suited for the fishing trip, better than other ships we tried, partly because of that huge space at the back.
Plus you are invited to sit on the fly with the captain, witch other companies usually don't allow.

Let's get to the crew now: There's this young captain who is really a nice guy, he'll explain you many things about the boat and fishing in Tenerife if you're interested. And there's also his middle aged mate, and this dude sure feels experienced, we saw him jump around his boat in a frenzy to find fish. Dude is SUPER involved and that's a real pleasure.

Fishing is super active, they don't just cruise in the ocean. They are all over the fish finder and also watching all the time the waves, the birds, and every little indicator of fish.

This time, no big game for us tho. But it's fishing, and you can't ever expect to succeed every time. You can have the best crew and still don't fish, you really do have to understand that before you go, or you risk being disappointed.

But we still got a nice triggerfish to cook at home, and let me tell you that this damn fish was delicious.

We absolutely recommend this boat, since it's really less a "tourist trap" than others we've seen. Stunning experience.

Honest opinion don't take good reviews in to consideration when choosing a fishing vessel to go out for a full day's fishing, we went for the 7 hours fishing trip for 110 euros per person and didn't catch a fish they litterally drove round with 4 rubber lures in the ocean for 7 hours didn't bait up didn't swap for us to try and catch smaller fish, just drove round from 10 am until 5pm, I would not recommend at all

I can highly recommend this half day out fishing. I am sure full day would of been fantastic.

Had a very nice trip on private charter. They found a spot for us on very short notice and really made an effort catching tuna and finding whales. The kids also got a chance to catch small fish and were very happy with the tour. Great memories!

By far the best fishing trip and crew on the island of Tenerife. Nobody knows the sea as Johnny, but obviously there is never a guarantee when fishing. Any fisherman knows this.
If it is a shared trip sometimes it's impossible for everybody to catch something. You can always consider renting it with crew, food and drinks privately. Then your chances are even bigger and among 4 or 5 actually not that expensive

Try it. I'm pretty sure you'll enjoy it as much as I. Enjoy your holiday in Tenerife.

Une véritable arnaque à touristes vous faites juste une balade en mer il vous attribue une canne qui est fixe et que vous toucherez jamais
Et après on vous arrête en mer au bord de la côte vous donne une petite canne à pêche pour pêcher des mini poissons si vous avez de la chance et retour au port.
J’ai pris 2 fois 4 heures espérant passer une superbe journée de pêche
Mais au bout de 4 heures retour au port pour reprendre de nouveau touriste et même scénario
A déconseiller fortement pour des personnes voulant faire de la pêche au gros vous verrez juste leurs cannes toutes neuves qui ne servent jamais.

70 euros is too much for this. The people were nice but didn't speak English. The bait looked like they were playing us. Traveled for a long time and if you don't care about fishing in the slightest your going to have a real boring time.

No sé puede quedarse con las presas. Hemos tomado algunos bonitos pero el equipaje nos aseguro que no podiamos guardarlo. Segun ellos había que dar el pez para análisis y después será dado a necesitosos. Cómo soy amable no he dicho más. Pero no he visto en ninguna parte está reglamentación. Por fin, pagamos por pescar los pescados que venden ellos seguramente!

PIEGE A TOURISTE. TOURIST TRAP

September 2018, I decided to pay me (65 €) a big game fishing trip to see what it's like in Tenerife. FYI, I have trolled for 35 years in the Mediterranean, Atlantic, Caribbean Sea, Indian Ocean.
I am announced catches of tuna, bonito, marlin, barracuda, big mackerel, sea bream dolphinfish, and a bottom fishing just as promising.with photos (undated!) Taken on this boat.so I validate.
We start from Los Cristianos at 10am to 10 fishermen (jackpot for the seller) and the 10 trailing lines are put by one of the two crew members without a word for us.there are 2 tuna rods (90 lbs) 6 rods (50lbs) and 2 rods (30lbs) as old as the boat (min 15 years). All equipped with lures Octopus type just as old.
We draw lots and we left for 2 hours waiting.
The guide goes upstairs with his pilot pot without any other explanation (neither security, or procedure to follow in case of touch) as if he knew we had left for 2 hours quiet.
What disturbs me is their technique. 2 tuna rods with a lure 20 m from the boat.and 8 other lures almost in lines, between 12 and 15 m from the boat.perso j ' have never seen big fish come up near the boat in these conditions of traine.but hey it's them pro no?
We follow the coast, due north, direction Los Gigantes for more than an hour, just about 1 miles from the coast. And of course, in these areas, you have to find a passage between the rental scooters, sailboats, catas, and other boats walks (dozens) who will see the whales. Our "train makes S".
Meanwhile, our two guides smoke cigarettes and drink shots on the floor, watching videos on their cell phones or telephoning, as if we were not there.
We still get fresh drinks and a sandwich (2 slices of bread and a small piece of ham in the middle)
After an hour we turn around, descending again closer to the coast.
Of course, no change of lure, distance traine.and not a word of guides.
An hour later, without any touch of course, we stop in front of the port of Los Cristianos to fish deep (20m)!? With rods equipped with 2 black hooks (river type) N ° 8? (some rods have only one hook.) and small cubes (1cm X 1cm) of fish defrosted as bait.
After twenty small rock fish released (the largest is 200 grams!) In one hour we return to port at 14H with the impression of being scammed in beauty.
In fact, the ten biggest fish caught that day, was US!
I express my dissatisfaction with the seller who is at the port, but he tells me that it's like fishing, sometimes it works, sometimes no.
Conclusion: I do not recommend this boat at all

Rubbish not aloud to take fish bottom fishing for small reef fish catch a tuna but not aloud to pick rod up

Very disappointed. Trip sounded to good to be true. 9 lures in an not 1 take one any of them. Bottom fishing very disappointing too, chicken as bait? Not so sure about that. Not worth €70 if you don’t catch.

They don't go fishing.proper fishing.verry disappointed. They are very comerciale.they say only 4 guys fishing and we was 9 fishing plus others just to watch.ohhh never again. I haven't been out to catch sardines on bottom fishing next to the shore.

Not very good. Spent the first 2 hours of a 4 hour trip cruising around the bay watching rubber lures waterskiing behind the boat. Never touched a rod in those 2 hours as the boat owner sets these up.
Then we spent the last 2 hours on light line trying to catch fish off the bottom using cubes of chicken. All in a pretty disappointing 65 euros each. Oh and be aware of the extremely rude photo guy who will be really annoyed when you come back to dock and dont take his photos off him. He snatched it out of our hands when we refused to buy it.

Not really a specialist game fishing charter as they make it seem on their website. They set out the trolling lines and hope for the best while cramming as many people on the boat as possible. And you'll never catch anything decent bottom fishing will 2/0 hooks and tiny pieces of fish. I thought the tiny hooks were to catch livies but sadly not.

Had a amazing day out would recommend them to anyone everyone had fish I had a yellow fin tuna aswell that made my year can't wait to go again.

Go see Colin on the dock. Great guy and knows what he's talking about. Didn't catch a fish but was a great day out, lots of food and drink all included. So good we booked another day out straight away

And again what a good day had such a good time crew were very nice and helpful and had a bigeye tuna.

Booked a hole day of fishing and started out in rain and gusty winds.
During the 7 hours of trolling the captain and crew were very helpful and service minded. There was plenty of food, beverages and information regarding the fishing.
A lady caught a tune and 1 fish was lost today.
The sun came and although I didn't catch any fish I must say it was a nice and exciting day.
If you want a fish guarantee try the supermarket, not Big Game Fishing

Those guys are very professional. I spent 1 day with them and we catch lot of fishes and we had fun the whole day. Was amazing. The best fishing experience.

Si eres aficionado a la pesca ni se te ocurra contratar. El curricán es un absoluto paripé. El gps plotter no les funciona. La sonda una garmin en blanco y negro apenas da la profundidad, las muestras que lleva son para llorar, los anzuelos oxidados etc. Dos horas de paseíto por delante de Los Cristianos entre las lanchas de los paracaídas y las motos de agua no es el mejor sitio para pescar precisamente. Luego otras dos horas al garete entre la boya de las motos y el espigón del puerto para que entre alguna araña, lagarto o pez cochino (pez ballesta) usando POLLO SALADO de carnada y a puerto. Mínimo gasto de gasoil buscando pesca.
La higiene interior deja muchísimo que desear. Como saben que no van a coger nada no llevan ni una nevera para el pescado.
En definitiva un timo para turistas. El personal muy amable, eso si.
