El Sombrero Apartments Los Gigantes Tenerife

En general disfrutamos de nuestras vacaciones en el apartamento. La ubicación es buena para el pueblo y está cerca de muchos restaurantes y tiendas sin tener que subir colinas demasiado. Tuvimos la suerte de conseguir uno con unas vistas preciosas al mar y a los acantilados, pero no todos los apartamentos las tienen.

La piscina es de buen tamaño y siempre hay muchas tumbonas disponibles.

El apartamento en sí es un poco anticuado pero estaba limpio y el mobiliario era cómodo. El personal limpiaba el apartamento con regularidad y proporcionaba toallas limpias.
La falta de utensilios de cocina fue un poco decepcionante, ya que no había forma de preparar café y no se suministraba líquido para lavar los platos.

Grandes apartamentos espaciosos, excelentes instalaciones de cocina. Realmente me gustó la piscina porque no hacía mucho frío y además, como era agua salada, era fácil flotar en ella. Nunca había demasiada gente para conseguir una tumbona. Los limpiadores eran muy buenos y venían a menudo. Obviamente no hay aire acondicionado, por lo que es posible que quieras alquilar un ventilador.

Fabulosos apartamentos por el precio pagado. Mucho más grande de lo normal. No había aire acondicionado, lo que pensamos que podría ser un problema en julio, pero no había mosquitos, así que dejé todas las ventanas y las puertas del patio abiertas para que entrara la brisa marina. Se pone un poco tostado mientras tienes secadores de pelo, pero puedes alquilar grandes ventiladores en la recepción si es necesario. Ubicación tranquila, sin bar ni ruido de tráfico Muy limpio, todos los principales canales del Reino Unido en la televisión. Recepción muy útil - sin cargo adicional por salida tardía si corresponde a su habitación. No pudimos tener uno, pero hay un baño completo, un salón y un patio en la recepción que usamos, lo cual fue perfecto. El bar de la piscina no estaba abierto cuando estuvimos allí, pero hay excelentes supermercados cerca (incluidos Lidl y Dino), así como una encantadora cafetería/pastelería y The Tipsy Terrace está al otro lado de la calle, donde puedes conseguir comidas y bebidas fabulosas y también usar Hay tumbonas/área de piscina por una pequeña tarifa. El área de la piscina en los apartamentos es básica, pero está impecablemente limpia, con tiolwts y una piscina para bebés. Siempre que no llevara vasos/botellas al área de la piscina, estaba bien llevar su propia comida/bebida. Elegimos aparecer y sentarnos en nuestro balcón la mayoría de los días para almorzar. Muchas tumbonas/sombrillas. El resort no tiene vida nocturna/discotecas muy tarde, pero sí mucho entretenimiento en vivo y algunos bares permanecen abiertos hasta la 1-2 a.m. (Paddy's Bar también es un restaurante fabuloso en las escaleras) y excelentes restaurantes. Hay colinas empinadas, por lo que probablemente no sea adecuado para personas con problemas de movilidad, pero de lo contrario, simplemente te acostumbras y te tomas las cosas con calma. Los taxis a los restaurantes en la cima de la colina/siguientes 2 pueblos/áreas pequeñas cuestan unos 5 euros. Taxi a Las Américas 45euros (45mins). Sugiera unirse a una de las páginas de FB de Lis Gigantos, ya que había mucha información sobre lo que está pasando y dónde mirar y beber. NÓTESE BIEN. Si va a llegar a su alojamiento después de las 22: 30, no encontrará ningún lugar cercano para tomar un refrigerio (no hay tiendas de pizza / hamburguesas de pollo a altas horas de la noche). Definitivamente regresaríamos.

Todo era perfecto. Las habitaciones se limpian regularmente, el personal es muy servicial. Gran experiencia.

Me alojé aquí por primera vez en abril. Pensamos que todo fue excelente. Por eso volvemos en noviembre.

Great place to stay. Self catering apartments. Studio, one bedroom and two bedroom aprtmnts available. Nice size swimming pool. Very clean. Great staff. 24 hours management. Safes available in all rooms.at a reasonable price. Rooms cleaned on regular basis. Ideally located close to numerous bars, restaurants and shops, also a beautiful Marina. The site enjoys all day sun-shine (when it is shining of course:)
Area is a bit " hilly " but most places are easily accessable.
Ideal for families with small children. Table tennis, pool table and childrens pool available.

Great, quiet apartments. Staff very friendly and helpful. Location is central to most amenities with a bit of a walk. Enjoyed our stay

Aquí en este momento de vacaciones, nunca antes. Estamos en un apartamento tipo estudio que tiene mucho espacio, con una pequeña cocina y un baño saliendo de la habitación principal. Aunque es bastante básico, está impecablemente limpio y las camas son muy cómodas. La zona de la piscina también está muy limpia y de momento podemos conseguir tumbonas muy fácilmente. Todo el personal es muy agradable y servicial. Sin duda me alojaría aquí de nuevo.

Habitaciones grandes, limpias y económicas justo encima de la ciudad principal. El bar de la piscina nunca parece abrirse, pero si tiene un presupuesto limitado, gane, gane

Excelentes y tranquilos apartamentos. El personal es muy amable y servicial. La ubicación es central para la mayoría de las comodidades con un poco de caminata. Disfrutamos de nuestra estancia

Stayed here for 2 wks this August. Appartments are in a good location
half way between the harbour and the top of the (steep) hill. Were were in a refurbished room which was totally adequate for our stay. Main bedroom big enough and had very
comfortable bed, the sofas converted to beds in the living area and were comfortable enough for adult girls. Kitchen had full oven and hob, and big fridge freezer, and all necessary kitchen equipment for meals. Good sized balcony ect. The staff we met were very helpful, and rooms were cleaned daily, the cleaning team worked all day. Yes, we were one of the families affected by the pool turning everything green, but the the pool was emptied and cleaned, hopefully my daughters hair will turn back to normal when we visit the hairdresser or we may have to take the issue further. However, overall this wouldn't deter us from staying here again. Some great restaurants which I've posted short reviews for.
Shame the resort hasn't fully recovered after covid, lots of places still closed, so it's very, very quite.

Stayed here with my wife and daughter recently, the reception and staff are all friendly and very helpful, our room was spacious and clean it has a oven (but no racks just a tray) kettle, toaster, good size freezer plus large fridge. The balcony was large and had good views, the pool is clean and fresh the whole area is cleaned every morning! Ok so same as every hotel the biggest bug bare off all by most holiday makers not just with this hotel but many hotels “ thers not enough sun loungers! And are all taken by 7.00 in the morning plus a few are broken same with parasols (this is a easy fix for the hotel owners iam sure) also at the moment the pool bar is closed? Saying that we enjoyed our stay and would have no issue in staying again

Top place to stay clean and tidy very spacious, will be going back, and staff very helpful, especially night porter

We only booked it as was told we would have a first floor apartment we got a bottom floor apartment right next to the road when we arrived owner wouldn't move us it was horrible all you could hear was the traffic then to top it off 2 single beds pushed together instead of a double bed the noise and kids running around was like being in Plaza las Americas never again will we stay here they is a lot better places to stay for your money in this area as we found out later without the noise and chaves if you want peace and quit don't book this place also 25 euro a week to watch tv all 3 channels another 25 euro for internet then also the same for a code to use the safe shop around don't make the same mistake we did.

Friendly, clean and great location. Stayed twice now and will definitely return. Nice pool, cooking facilities. Cleaning staff kept my apartment spotless and were lovely

Stayed here in Feb 2020, again in March 2022 and booked to return in September 2022 - we like it that much! Spacious, clean rooms, comfy beds, great central location with shops, bars, crazy golf, tennis and bus stops within 2 minutes walk, doesn't get better than that! Staff and management are helpful and go above and beyond to assist, pool is cold but needed after a short while in the hot sun but loungers are readily available and no early risers reserving them and showing up late afternoon! The constructions work were barely background noise and didn't disturb our sleep or our sunbathing so what are you waiting for - get booking at El Sombrero!

Amazing location with great views. Accommodation does the job, you get what you pay for. Pool is not heated and you have to brace yourself for an icy dip, but has the sun all day. The surrounding bars at the time this review was made aren't as busy as they would've been pre COVID, although you can always count on the tacky Irish bar to be full of Brits.
One annoyance is the construction work on the hill, it is very loud and goes on in broken intervals all day long. Not sure when this will be finished.

We spent a week here. Beautiful setting. Close to mini shops, harbour, bars and restaurants and not as lively or noisy as other locations.

Spacious apartment, clean with a fully functional kitchen which we did use, hot shower at any time of the day, lovely outside area where we sat most of the time, lovely in the evening to have dinner and glass of wine or beer. Pool area is clean and a very relaxing place to be, water is freezing mind, but just jump in, it's refreshing! Area is not too crowded either, gets the sun in the morning but by lunch the the whole area is flooded with sun.

Few extras, you have to pay for the security safe WiFi and sky TV if you want it.

Guy on reception is very accommodating and happy to help with any query. I would recommend these apartments for families and young couples, not for older generation as the hill up and down into Los Gigantes is a bit of a climb, Having said that there is a bus service you can use, it's at the end of the road and busses are frequent and go most places.we would stay here again. Did not want to leave!

Been here twice in the last few months. Very helpful staff and management. Only 7 blocks of 6 apartments - so small and friendly. Location couldn't be better for local amenities. Just cross the road for bars and restaurants

Very nice place for the price at a great location! If you are lucky you even have seaview but it depends on arrival ordrer… they even do cleaning during your stay, very clean and functional. Oh and great beds with great mattresses.

Small complex in a good location close to the shops and restaurants (400 m) marina (800 m). Rooms were clean and tidy with adequate utensils etc. The tv had 40 channels, 3 UK.
Our room had a lovely view over rooftops to the ocean, island and cliffs. The staff was helpful and smiling. The resort was nice and peaceful. Great break.

Spacius and clean rooms. Big pool for swimming, and a chance to play table tennis, and billiard. Would recommend.

A really nice complex with amazing apparent in a good location. Easy walk to town with a large supermarket 7 min's up the road. Highly recommended.

This is best apartment building in los Gigantos quite, older clients, exceptionally clean, and lovely staff

Nice place, quite and no frills but cannot say anything bad about it as enjoyed our stay there. Close to everything which was a bonus.

I highly wouldn't recommend staying at el sombrero as the pool was very filth and tiles were falling off also the showers were appalling they were backed up with lime scale meaning the water that did reach you was at an unbearable pressure the appartments are not as nice as they're pertrayed in the pictures.

I wouldn't stay there again if you paid me my experience was absolutely appouling

Regular winter visitor. 6 weeks each year for last 8 years. Only downside is pool very cold over the winter

You have to pay to use the television it's 25 euros a week there not enough room around the pool for the amount of apartments if full

Absolutly brilliant place to stay. Apartment is spacious and clean. As is the site in general. Pool is small but adequate, and no loud music heaven. Hosts Juan and Frank very helpful. Sorted me a great car hire deal out. Resort itself a bit hilly but copable, plenty of shops on way back up the hill, for a rest. Lol. Thanks for a lovely relaxing stay el sombrero.

Clean, tidy, had a face lift recently, central location, reasonably priced and helpful and friendly staff

Lovely apartments in a great location. Very close to the resort centre. The 2 bedroom apartments have a great view and are very spacious. The on-site snack bar has a great choice and is good value for money. The gardens are kept beautifully.

The last post was a mistake, these apartments are truly fantastic, the staff are very friendly and help full, the whole complex is spotlessly clean and well maintained.
We have been coming here for the last 5 years and will be back next year. Great place to holiday.

Lovely clean room. Well situated to local amenities. Friendly staff. Only issue is theres no air con but you can hire a fan.
