Free Motion - Los Cristianos

En 2019 ya había alquilado una bicicleta de carreras en Free Motion en Gran Canaria. Debido a la buena experiencia, esta vez alquilé una bicicleta de carreras de Free Motion en Tenerife. Valió la pena nuevamente. Los empleados son muy amables y ajustaron la bicicleta exactamente a mis deseos.

Puedo recomendar absolutamente Free Motion.

En esta tienda utilicé los servicios de un mecánico de bicicletas para mi bicicleta de carretera. Algo crujía y no estaba claro qué. Antes de viajar a Tenerife visité un taller en Valencia y allí no pudieron ayudarme. En la misma tienda en 20 minutos encontraron el problema y lo solucionaron, quedé completamente encantado.

La peor experiencia de alquiler de bicicletas hasta ahora.
Tuve 3 pinchazos en 4 días debido a un neumático dañado desde el principio.
Regresé después de 2 pinchazos para pedirles que cambiaran el neumático exterior, pero se negaron porque no había nada malo y algunos "rayones" no provocarían un pinchazo.
Servicio realmente decepcionante y no se puede esperar de Free Motion.
No volveré a alquilar en este lugar ya que podrían haber cambiado el neumático fácilmente.

Alquilé una bicicleta Cannondale Synopse durante mis vacaciones. La bicicleta estaba en muy buenas condiciones (como nunca antes se había usado). El servicio fue correcto y amable. Puedes alquilar un casco y pedales. En el podrás encontrar también ropa, barritas energéticas en geles, bebida isotónica.

Servicio al cliente súper amable. Por enfermedad no pudimos hacer nuestras reservas y las pospusieron y luego cancelaron sin cobrarnos.

Luego alquilamos unas bicicletas y todo fue genial. Recibí consejos útiles y el personal volvió a ser muy amable.

Una pena que una tienda tan potente no cuide los detalles, trataré de resumir.
- Me desplace 80kms solo por la fama de la tienda. Tras una primera visita a ambas tiendas, me decido a comprar una BH.
- A partir de aquí, continuamos el trato por mail (26/01) Reservo con 100€ (27/01), la traen de Las Palmas, les pido algún extra (vinilos protectores del cuadro y tubelizar ruedas) Lo curioso es que son los propios trabajadores de la tienda los que me ofrecen esto, me gusta la idea y los añado al pedido.
- Me avisan a los días que la bici ya está en la tienda. Hago la transferencia final y espero a que me confirmen para ir a por ella. (02/02) Hay que decir que los plazos de espera y respuesta fueron correctos.
- Me desplazo de nuevo 80kms para ir a recoger la bici y me encuentro:
• Nadie en la tienda de Los Cristianos habla español, por lo que tengo que hablar en inglés con ellos (esto ya me pasó en la primera visita)
• La bici no estaba preparada, el mecánico me dice que esta solo y desbordado (cosa que no es mi problema, no me deberian haber avisado de que estaba lista)
• Le pregunto la presión corrcta para las ruedas tubelizadas y me dice que no lo están, y que tampoco me lo puede hacer por falta de maquinaria (me podrían haber dicho esto y no me desplazaba hasta allí)
• Salgo a probarla y saltan todos los cambios, vuelvo y el mecánico me los ajusta en 3 min y sin mucho cariño. Vuelvo a probarlos y siguen mal. Sin ganas de seguir allí y con otras cosas que hacer me voy.
- Le envié un mail con todos estos comentarios el 11/02 y aún sin respuesta. No me gusta nada poner reseñas de este tipo, pero no veo la solución. He salido varias veces con la bici y es muy incómodo que los cambios vayan saltando todo el rato. Me da rabia tener que acudir a un mecánico y mucho menos puedo y quiero bajar al sur de nuevo para que arreglen su propio error.
Lo siento, pero 0 recomendable estas tiendas.

Unfortunately, I have to warn you about this company. I booked a road bike and arrived specially near the rental shop. I even got a reminder two days earlier that the bike would be ready. Literally 16 hours before pick up I got an email that the bike was unavailable and they had an MTB bike for me. They didn't respond to my emails so I went to them. Total disregard on site. "We don't have a bike because the fork broke and that's your problem. " "I'm just an employee. " I asked if in the opposite situation they would not demand money for an unrealized reservation but they only replied with a smile. An employee persuaded me to MTB me
as if he did not understand the difference between a road bike and an MTB. Shame, because I set the whole trip under this and they don't even respond to emails.they don't respect their own contracts. I do not recommend.

Had an serious incident when the derailer of my mtb, went into my wheel. While I think thats not my fault, free motion did everything to get an replacement swiftly. Thanks for the service!

Great, professional service with good quality and most importantly, reliable bikes to conquer the rocky terrain of Tenerife. Friendly staff is there to help you whenever you need and if you forgot some of your gear, they’ve got a wide selection of high quality biking equipment. Shop is looking very clean and modern. Would definitely recommend this place if your planning to go mountain biking on Tenerife!

Happy with the rental road bikes and the friendly staff. Los Cristianos is a little hard to navigate in with heavy traffic, using a bike computer helps.

Fui a alquilar y me atendió un chico llamado Sian muy amable, me ayudó a elegir mi talla y a familiarizarme con la bici, sitio recomendable.

And the review: Fabien helped us most of the time, was a great guy who went through the map to explain us everything about the whole El Teide segment… it made us feel super prepared and confident and was one of the reasons we could complete the climb. Great customer service!

Rented 2 bikes, one special e-road bike where the battery life was great although you need to use the lowest setting to have enough power to climb the El Teide, on other routes it will last the whole day.

I first used used Free Motion for bike hire in October 2021 for myself and my 2 teenage children and had a good experience. Bikes are modern, in excellent condition, and well maintained. The hire is a little on the expensive side but matched by a quality product. From memory we spent around 200 Euros and service and interaction with mature staff was a good experience.

I've just arrived in Tenerife, this time with my wife and infant. We are staying very close to the Los Cristianos branch of Free Motion (i believe that they have 2 outlets) and walked there to attempt to make a similar hire late this afternoon.

A young gentleman was in attendance, it was around 4pm on Sunday 2nd January and the shop was due to close in an hour. My experience and interaction today couldn't have been more different than my first experience with the company. This young man wasn't interested in interacting with me. I requested 3 times that he check the database to see which bikes we had last time and it was almost too much trouble for him. In the end he gave up and couldn't be bothered.

He was more interested in ending any conversation during which I attempted to consider various other bikes types, as mountain bikes were not available until 6th January. His customer service fell well below any standard I'd expect from any hire company. He had no interest in trying to make bike hire work for us and I'm guessing he didn't want the hassle of undertaking contracts or booking so late in the day and adjacent to closing on a lazy Sunday afternoon after a hectic New Year.

How one employee can make a customers impression of a company change. I'll be making representation hopefully to the manager tomorrow but this staff member needs retaining in customer service. He spoke very good English but his interest, and respect was lacking which verged on rudeness. He was NOT a good advertisement for this company which normally presents far better.

Walked in with my own bike, which needed service after assembling it from a bike bag. Very nice staff, quickly identified the problem (loose free hub) and fixed it on the spot. Highly recommended!

Had some technical issues with my first bike so they gave me a better one without any additional costs:) Friendly service and good bikes.

Staff are very friendly and accommodating and explain how the process works especially for first time bike renters like me. Bike looked like new and worked flawlessly. Route was challenging as well and guide explained the course really well. He kept us all together even during the hard climbs and was accomodation by having stops and coffee breaks as requested by the group.

Overall a great day. Will certainly come back to Free Motion again during current vacation and in the future.

Very professional and top quality bikes for road and MTB. Rented two roadbikes and both of them was in nearly brand new condition

Finalmente no compre nada, pero fui a mirar un casco Mavic, el problema? Q todos los cascos de mtb parecen champiñones en mi cabeza, el dependiente me saco multitud de cascos pero nada, me dio pena hacerle sacar todo eso para nada, pero muy amablemente el hombre me dijo que lo entendía, q la cosa es seguir buscando hasta q des con el q te quede bien, en fin, igualmente eche el ojo a algunas bicis y a parte de estar dentro de un precio bastante razonable, muy guapas.

Excellent service. Tous les vélos étaient adaptés à chacun (e) et quasiment neufs et munis d un 34 à l arrière. Ns étions 11 et sommes tous très satisfait du service et de l accueil. On aimerait retrouver les mêmes prestations en France
