Como nómada digital que ha frecuentado La Tortuga Hostel en Tenerife, debo advertir a mis compañeros de viaje sobre los preocupantes problemas de seguridad y privacidad que encontré durante mi estadía. Si bien la impresión inicial del albergue puede parecer atractiva con su ambiente hippie, mis experiencias recientes han revelado fallas profundamente preocupantes en las prácticas de administración y seguridad.

Durante mi visita más reciente, me sorprendió descubrir que habían asignado a mi habitación a un individuo sospechoso con antecedentes criminales. El comportamiento sospechoso de este individuo, que incluía frecuentes solicitudes de cargadores de teléfono y un escrutinio no deseado de mis actividades, me hizo sentir profundamente incómodo e inseguro en mi propio espacio vital.

Aún más preocupante es el aparente favoritismo mostrado por la dirección hacia este individuo. A pesar de mis preocupaciones y solicitudes de intervención, parecía que la gerencia era indiferente a mi malestar y continuaba acomodándose al comportamiento cuestionable de este individuo.

Además, tengo motivos para creer que mis datos personales pueden haber sido comprometidos durante mi estadía. Descubrí que la administración había compartido mi información con otros albergues de la isla sin mi consentimiento, lo que generó serias preocupaciones sobre las prácticas de privacidad y protección de datos en La Tortuga Hostel.

Como nómada digital que valora la seguridad, la privacidad y el profesionalismo, no puedo en conciencia recomendar La Tortuga Hostel a otros. La falta de responsabilidad de la dirección y el desprecio por la seguridad y privacidad de los huéspedes son inaceptables y reflejan mal la reputación del establecimiento.

Calificación general:

Estoy extremadamente decepcionado con la falta de respeto a la privacidad en La Tortuga Hostel. Durante mi estadía, descubrí que mi información personal fue compartida públicamente sin mi consentimiento. Esto es completamente inaceptable y una grave violación de los derechos de privacidad. Como huésped, debería sentirme seguro y protegido, pero en cambio siento que mi confianza ha sido traicionada. Insto a la gerencia a tomar medidas inmediatas para abordar este problema e implementar protocolos más estrictos para salvaguardar la privacidad de los huéspedes. Hasta entonces, no puedo recomendar este albergue a nadie.

Había leído todas las críticas increíbles y lo probé. Decir que fue una experiencia increíble es quedarse corto.
Conocerá a la mejor gente aquí, los voluntarios son amables y serviciales.
El propietario es una joya de persona y todos ellos se aseguran de que su estancia sea cómoda e inolvidable.

¡Te va a encantar! La Tortuga atrae a la gente más diversa, divertida y amigable. Muuuy amigable, estuve poco más de una semana, cocinar fue divertido, comidas compartidas, unas cervezas y cantar tocando la guitarra. Lleno de excelente personal y buen rollo. Estará encantado de haber ido allí.

El mejor lugar, el mejor personal y la mejor vibra, este albergue te hace sentir como en tu casa. Los propietarios siempre son amables y amigables, y hay muchas actividades (conciertos, barbacoas, etc.) que son excelentes oportunidades para conocer aún más gente. Volveré seguro:)

Lo pasamos de maravilla.personal realmente agradable y un gran ambiente familiar. Muchos viajeros solitarios que estaban muy interesados ​​​​en socializar y explorar.las zonas comunes son muy bonitas incluida la piscina. Se pueden reservar muchas actividades a través de la recepción por un buen precio (snorkel, surf, paracaidismo, etc.). Definitivamente vendría de nuevo.

Me alojé en el albergue como parte de un campamento de surf y solo puedo recomendarte, especialmente si estás solo. Lo pasé genial y conocí gente estupenda. El equipo y los voluntarios organizan constantemente actividades con el objetivo de unir a todos. Ambas villas están muy bien equipadas y son espaciosas.

Un lugar donde reina la paz y el compartir. Me sentí como en casa desde el primer momento.

Excelente albergue para cualquiera que quiera socializar con personas más allá de emborracharse. He estado aquí varias veces, siempre la pasé bien y conocí amigos interesantes:)

Encantador hostal con gente encantadora en una excelente ubicación. Realmente disfruté de mi estadía y claramente fue una de mis mejores experiencias en un albergue. Especialmente los eventos que se organizan durante la semana como Yoga-Monday, Sunset-Sunday y la gran parrillada de los miércoles que definitivamente recomiendo, ¡sin olvidar los encantadores cursos de Salsa/Bachata que más disfruté!:)
Además, puedes reservar un montón de actividades en el albergue, como surf, buceo, avistamiento de ballenas, Nunca te aburrirás.
Para resumir, gracias Tortuga Hostel, ¡no veo la hora de volver!:)

Increíble albergue para viajeros solos. Bonita habitación, todo limpio, social. La gente era como una familia.

El mejor hostel donde me he alojado. Me siento tan bien cuando estoy ahí que he repetido muchas veces! La energía es increíble! Tanto los dueños, como los voluntarios, como los huéspedes. Hacen barbacoas, a veces hasta organizan conciertos y siempre hay buen ambiente. Es un buen hostel para viajar solo, con amigos, con familia y con pareja! ️

The atmosphere at La Tortuga is unique I absolutely enjoyed my stay. The rooms and toilets are cleaned everyday and there is a very nice chill out area in the garden. All the staff is very welcoming and I loved the facts that there are volunteers from so many nationalities. The beach is within walking distance and when i was there in january the weather was great. Totally recommended form the bottom of my heart!

Hostel is clean and well organized with lots of space and a garden. Staff is very friendly and atmosphere is relaxing. They also help guests to organise surfing sessions and they hoist weekly yoga class & BBQ party.thank you, had a great time

Mi estancia en la Tortuga fue increíble, más que un hostal es una gran familia.
Super cerca de la playa, supermercados y opciones gastronómicas.
Todo muy limpio, cocina completamente equipada y libre uso de aceite, especias etc.
A pesar de no incluir desayuno, todos los días preparan café, te y budín.
El staff, tanto los dueños, recepcionistas y voluntarios son super amables y siempre dispuestos a ayudar.
Volveré sin ningúna duda.

Muy lindo lugar, súper cálida la gente que trabaja ahí. Me gustó mucho la ubicación, ya que podíamos ir a un super grande caminando. La recepcionista, Karen, un amor. Todo lo que quieras saber de la isla, ella lo sabe.

Desde que llegué al hostal, me recibieron con muchisima buena onda! Siempre salía algún plan para el dia o la noche, lo cual es buenísimo, sobretodo para el que viaja solo como yo. La gente que trabaja en el hostal es increíble super simpáticos y dispuestos a ayudar en lo que necesites.
La cocina del hostal está super equipada, con todo lo que necesitas para cocinar (muchísimas ollas y sartenes, etc) hay especias de todas las que busques, aceite, vinagre, sal, etc. Y hay 2 cocinas! Asíque para el que no tiene ganas de comer afuera, es genial! Y todo super super limpio.

The best hostel I have ever stayed in! I usually get tired of hostels in a few days but here I kept extending my trip and didn't want to leave! Staff is the loveliest and the place is super clean as they clean it every day. The rooms also have a wardrobe kind of space where everyone kept their stuff which was so useful because no one would be tripping over anyone's stuff on the floor and having a shelf and hangers was so convenient.

The best part about the hostel is the socializing! I met so many people and it was super easy to meet them, go to the beach, dinners and nights out with them. I didn't feel on my own at all and it was such a great vibe! Everyone should stay at this hostel!

I went for the surfing and stayed for the people. The owners have created such a lovely cosy home for travellerers to find friends and sing songs with guitars or just reada book by the pool and relax. The place is clean every day and is well located with a couple of restaurants in the proximity amd the busier marina 10 mins walk from it. If I come to Tenerife again I will definitely come back to la Tortuga.

Perfetto per viaggiare in solitaria poiché non si sarà mai soli! Prenotato per una settimana mi sono ritrovata a restare per un intero mese.
PRENOTATE TRAMITE MAIL, si hanno più disponibilità e flessibilità! Atmosfera magnifica, persone che ti rimangono nel cuore per sempre, personale super efficiente, posizione perfetta, possibilità di prenotare tutte le escursioni direttamente tramite loro, chitarra a disposizione per riempire gli animi di buona musica, pulizia eccellente e camere spaziose, organizzazione e problem solving al TOP. Magnifico equilibrio tra tranquillità e festa, non mancano mai attività di gruppo, volontari sempre scelti con cura per garantire un clima meraviglioso. Alessandro e Pasquale saranno sempre pronti a darvi un servizio impeccabile e farvi sentire a casa ️.

My stay at La Tortuga Hostel was amazing, I couldn‘t have wished for a better experience! It‘s a very social place where you can always meet exciting and interesting and kind people! There is always someone up for going somewhere together and hanging out! The hostel is a very clean place and the beds were super comfortable! The cooking facilities are also very well equipped and in great condition, containing everything you need. It‘s an awesome place to stay and I highly recommend it!

Solo me quede una noche pero me senti como en casa, la energia de este hostel es muy buena. Para entrar piden Pasaporte Covid y una prueba de antigenos. Yo compre la prueba de antigenos en el hostel, pero tambien puedes comprarla en la farmacia y hacerlo alli en el check in, me hizo sentirme muy segura. Aunque no tiene desayuno incluido, a las mañanas hay café americano e italiano recien hecho, leche (de avena tambien, me parecio un detalle), te y bizcocho. Todo muy limpio y ordenado, camas comodas y el personal un amor. Sin duda volvere, y para quedarme mas dias!

El mejor hostel del sur de Tenerife! La gente tiene muy buena energía, es ideal para viajeros solos ya que te encuentras mucha gente que siempre te incluye en los planes, pero si necesitas un poco de tranquilidad también la encuentras, incluso hay clases gratuitas de yoga y queda a pocos minutos andando de la playa. Volveré sin duda

La Tortuga is a lovely place. The people working and living there are very nice, open minded, friendly and helpful. We've enjoyed our time there.

Public transport and supermarkets are nearby, few minutes away you can reach diving centres, shops, restaurants and bars. The beach is also nearby.

La Tortuga ist ein sehr schönes Hostel. Die Leute, die dort arbeiten und übernachten sind allesamt sehr freundlich, offen und hilfsbereit. Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt dort sehr genossen.

Busse und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten sind fußläufig gut erreichbar. In wenigen Minuten ist man zudem im Zentrum und findet dort von Tauchschulen über Läden bis hin zu Restaurants und Bars alles, was man braucht. Der Strand mit Promenade ist auch gut zu Fuß erreichbar.

La Tortuga Hostel is definitely one of the best hostels I've ever stayed in! All the facilities are very confortable, well decorated and very clean (they're cleaned every day!) - they make you feel at home! The kitchen is very well equipped, and there is salt, spices, olive oil, sugar, coffee and tea available for guests. However, the best thing of all is the great vibes among all guests and volunteers that work there - they welcome you from the beginning and really make you feel part of La Tortuga family:) I will definitely come back one day!

Favorite hostel. It immediately feels like home, the reception will easily book many different activities for you like surfing lessons, scuba diving, paragliding, and more. Super clean. Amazing backyard hangout area. Great hostel activities multiple nights a week. Social atmosphere, but there is also space to relax by yourself. HIGHLY recommend and will definitely stay again!

ASSOLUTAMENTE WOW. Sono abituata al mondo degli ostelli ma uno cosi non l'avevo mai trovato. Una struttura tenuta benissimo, pulita ma soprattutto con un personale veramente amichevole. A la tortuga sono riuscita sia a vivere la vita socievole da ostello e conoscere tantissimi amici internazionali, sia ad avere i miei spazi per lavorare in tranquillità. Non ho trovato alcun difetto e per questo penso La Tortuga sarà il mio punto fermo ogni volta che tornerò a Tenerife. Inizialmente non avevo trovato disponibilià online ma chiamandoli direttamente sul loro numero sono riuscita a prenotare una stanza, menomale!

La Tortuga is the best hostel I have ever visited, you enjoy there the best atmosphere and nicest people. There are all the different musical instruments at your disposal. Pools are refreshing, equipment for physical exercises is present. I recommend you to choose this place!

The absolute best hostel on the island, as mentioned by both the guests and staff there. If you are looking to become part of an international family, finding friends from all over the world, going on crazy adventures and chill beach/surf days, this is absolutely the place for you. Super clean rooms and a versatile building with both social and chill spaces if you want to work or read. Tortuga is amazing! The most recommended. They didn't have space on bookings /hostel world but gave them a call and they helped me find a room!:)

Best hostel in Tenerife! I was blessed to be able to spend a month in this amazing hostel, that feels more like a family where people have their safe, relaxed and fun space, where one can enjoy some quality time. Staff is knowledgeable about the island and they're always happy to help you! The hostel itself looks great, colorful and with lots of arts all over.

La Tortuga is easily one of the best hostels I have stayed in!
The people who work there make you feel at home and are unbelievably helpfull! And all the guests I have met there were were an example of what La Tortuga stands for; a warm and open place where everybody is welcome!

La Tortuga The Place! Valla que me gusta estar ahi, es uno de esos lugares donde la energía positiva esta presente, un gran concepto en hospedaje, volvere.

J'étais vraiment content d'avoir trouvé une place dans cette auberge, il y a une très bonne ambiance, l'endroit est propre et le personnel très gentil! Il n'y avait pas de disponibilité sur Booking mais en les contactant directement j'ai trouvé une place. Ils m'ont dit qu'en haute saison, ils préféraient vendre des lits directement, j'invite donc toute personne intéressée à rester à contacter la réception via son site Web. La plage est à proximité et grâce aux indications de la réceptionniste Karen j'ai découvert quelques petits trésors de l'île et organisé une fantastique excursion en kayak qui comprenait de la plongée avec tuba avec des turtles. Merci pour tout!

I had such a great time staying at La Tortuga. One of the best hostels I've ever stayed at. Great vibes, beautiful house, kind and helpful staff and everything is very clean.
I had some difficulties booking a room using Booking.com and Hostelworld as it didn't show availability, so I contacted them personally and they still had a spot for me.
If you ever get the chance to stay at this hostel, you should definitely take it. I would love to come back and spend some more days or weeks there:)

Great staff, I grew up in Canary Islands and when I hear about this hostel I didn't believe it was located in this premium location. Really nice environment and it is awesome for solo travelers, I was supposed to stay for one night and ended up staying four nights. The house is cozy and the volunteers and owners make you feel like your grandma's house. Highly recommended. Muchas gracias!

In buona posizione, pulito, allegro e funzionale. Buon rapporto qualità-prezzo. Dormitori ben organizzati e attualmente occupati solo al 50% per la normativa anti Covid. I proprietari sono bellissime persone, simpatici e professionali, come tutti coloro che ci lavorano. Formano un team in grado di far sentire chiunque a proprio agio con la voglia di restarci per molto, molto tempo!

The hostel is a beautiful place where you can relax and enjoy yourself with amazing people! There is also an excellent internet connection, I had to do some important work online and I was able to do it in the best way. Totally recommended!

La Tortuga is the best hostel I have ever stayed! 100% recommended! I spent 10 days in a shared room and then came back for another 2 weeks doing some "home office" from a private room. The rooms and all installations are very clean, new and spacious. The kitchen is super equipped and there is plenty of space inside and outside the hostel. The outside area is amazing, with swimming pool and hammocks to chill. There are also 2 identical common areas, one is usually very vivid with something going on almost every day:) and the other one is super quiet, so you can enjoy reading / working / etc. And what is more important, the atmosphere is just amazing! You feel at home and in harmony form the first day, thank you guys and especially Ale and Pascuale for making my experience so great! The COVID-19 rules were also very well respected (masks inside common areas, 2 guests instead of 4 in shared rooms, regular disinfection and cleaning, etc.), so I always felt safe. It is located 10 min from the beach in a very quiet area which I also liked a lot! Volvere!

I had a great time here, everyone is infectiously welcoming and friendly. The hostel services are good and it's only a 10 minute walk to the beach!

Wonderful hostel with wonderful people. You can tell that Alessandro and his staff absolutely love the hostel and everything that they do there and really care about their guests and the experience they will have.

It feels like you are entering home and there is always someone to strike up a conversation with, or a quiet spot if you want to watch a movie.

I would just suggest more bathrooms, as even at half capacity the bathrooms were super busy, and more activities organised by the hostel would really add the next dimension.

Everything in La Tortuga is made to make you feel as home, it’s an open family who even invite the sunset every night, if I had one advice to give you, don’t miss the barbecue:)

Friendliest hostel I've ever stayed in. Clean and comfortable, comprised of 3 villa-type houses with gardens, ample outdoor seating areas and swimming pools. Perfect for chillout sunbathing sessions - if all you want is sun, peace and quiet.
Such a fantastic hostel, I've found myself returning time and time again. 10 stays later.they must be doing something right!

La Tortuga is the best hostel I've ever seen. The owners are super good and positive people, the staff is kind and the atmosphere is perfect either if you want to chill or to party. Also the breakfast is the most complete that I've ever seen. I'll come back as soon as possible

Mucha interacción con turistas naturalistas, excursiones, idiomas, chitarra, barbecue, piscina, relax.

Buen ambiente, entorno agradable y muy simpáticos. En el precio entra el desayuno. La única pega el colchón de la habitación que reservamos (habitación con baño privado) estaba para renovar, te clavas los muelles. Una reforma al baño tampoco le iría mal.

An extremely well-organised, welcoming and friendly hostel. Spotlessly clean, fantastic breakfast buffet and lovely gardens to hang out in. Situated in a calm area and easy to reach by public transport. Lots of free stuff like sun lotions, books, summer hats, ear plugs, etc.to make your stay most confortable. I booked two nights and stayed for the whole week. Both dorm beds and private rooms available.

10 estrellas. La vibra que se maneja y el ambiente de este lugar no se encuentra en ningun otro lado. Tranquilo si se quiere descansar, pero también se puede interacturar y planear actividades.

Stayed here as a lone traveller for a long weekend. The hostel is not too hard to find, and you’ll always find the staff cleaning. The breakfast was very nice. There have 2 villas in 1 which means there is one more quieter than the other (if you are a quiet person). They also have 2 pools and offer surfing lessons. I had a great time here and I will definitely be staying here again. Big thank you to all the staff, specially Barbara and Pepe for making me feel so welcome!
