Nos encantó. Desde el primer contacto fueron tan amables! Me explicaron todo, respondieron todas mis preguntas, enseñaron todo por whatsapp, me ofrecieron unos opciones. Los instructores lo mismo - que amables, soportivos, amigables! Nos explicaron todo con paciencia. Nosotros, los padres y los niños estuvimos muy contentos. La mejor experiencia en Tenerife. Lo recomiendo mucho!

Teoría súper educativa con medición de tiempo perfecta, consejos en el agua geniales, siempre atenta de todos sus alumnos.

Tuve una experiencia fantástica en la escuela de surf con Freddy como mi instructor. Su enseñanza fue de primer nivel y me sentí seguro de atrapar olas. La ventaja adicional de recibir excelentes fotografías capturó momentos memorables. En general, ¡una escuela de surf muy recomendable y agradable!

¡Tuve una lección semiprivada con Vicky y fue realmente increíble!
Su sentido del humor, apoyo, conocimiento y experiencia enseñando me enamoraron de la experiencia.
Soy un completo principiante y aun así logré coger bastantes olas.

Como principiantes reservamos una clase grupal en la escuela de surf de Kotraola. Tuvimos una experiencia maravillosa.

El personal es amable, personal y servicial. Y tienen un servicio calidad precio realmente bueno.

Los grupos de surf son pequeños, por lo que recibirás mucha ayuda y asesoramiento personalizado de tu instructor. De esa manera progresamos mucho e incluso logramos coger algunas olas sin caernos en nuestra primera vez surfeando.por supuesto tuvimos una gran profesora, Victoria, que es muy paciente y alentadora con todos sus 'guerreros de las olas'. ;)

Recomiendo encarecidamente este lugar para disfrutar de una gran experiencia de surf y espero volver allí una vez más en el futuro.

Catching your first wave feels like a little bit of magic. If you go to Kontraola surf school you are well looked after. Good vibes, great team, good equipment. They make sure you feel at ease, safe and understand how to catch a wave. I recommend them 100%!

Very nice spot for beginners. I had a lesson at 6pm. I definitely recommend it It was just perfect, catching waves in the golden hour and sunset. Vicky is a very good teacher.

La mejor experiencia de mi vida. Llevaba años queriendo probar el surf y con la escuela Kontraola surf. Alex y Paco fueron unos auténticos profesionales, que además saben mantener una profesionalidad y un acercamiento con los clientes increíble. Solicitamos a última hora una clase semirpivada y tuvimos la suerte de que nos ofrecieron la mejor profesora de su escuela, Vicky. Una mujer increíble, educada, entusiasta, graciosa, trabajadora y la mejor profesora que podíamos tener. Recomendable sin dudar alguna, han conseguido cumplir el sueño de una chica y ofrecerles lo mejor de ellos y de la escuela en todo lo que hacen.

Great school running by a local people. We had semi-privat lesson with Victoria, she is the best teacher! She is very patient and correct your mistakes. Now we can try a bit of our own. Wet suits were new and comfortable.

I did shop around places to rent gear and take surfing classes in tererife. I tried several schools and based on quality of the gear, the instructors and the good vibes Kontraola is by far the best option in Las Americas. The staff is incredibly helpful, nice, always with the best energy and the best tips. The gear is new (quicksilver) while most of other places just give you a run down board. The instructors are bilingual, patience and really interested in you having fun and learning properly. I had a great experience and will for sure be back in Kontraola when Im back in Tenerife soon. 100% can recommend this place. Thank you Paco and team!

Best lesson I have ever had!
I have surfed around 50 times before, and leard a lot today. Amar helped me to learn about how to read the waves. And I also got things to work on for the next wave after he had se me surf. So we got some nice progres during the lesson.
And for two hours in the water i got as many waves as a possible could get. It was only my fysical strength that was holding me back.
Totally worth the money, and I got a lot of things that i could work on when am going out again on my own.

They did really a great job, they organized our group lesson in less than 30 min. They have really fun in teaching you and supporting you.
It was a really nice Expearience and we surely suggest to try it once. We will for sure come back to those guy one more time in our Holiday

I wanted to try out surfing with my friends and we came across this place by chance. The staff was very informative and helpful and explained to us right away that the time we originally wanted to try out surfing was not the best because of the high tide. We came back next day in the morning and went for a 2 hour introduction course with two instructors. Both Victoria and Victor were very good instructors and helped us a lot and gave us useful tips while we were in the water: they told us which waves to take, when to start paddling and when to jump on the board. Without their help our first time surfing would not have been so much fun. We had a great time and got a good introduction to surfing. Absolutely recommended!

Probably the best surfschool on the whole island. Our teacher, Vicky, was an extremely good instructor. She was there with full enthusiasm and you could really tell that she has a strong passion for surfing. Next to the basics, she also taught us a lot of technical advanced knowledge. Super friendly, safety is guaranteed and most of the time you are even longer in the water than advertised ;)

Myself and my sister had a beginner lesson with Vicky and we had a great time. From start to finish the experience was amazing. Paco and Vicky were so friendly and Vicky was a great instructor. She was so patient and helpful, she gets you ready for the wave and gives really good feedback afterwards. The facilities were great - very clean. The surfboards and wet suits are really good quality. Would highly recommend this surf school if you’re in Tenerife.

Had a great 10 days with this school. Amazing instructors, you are growing every lesson. After getting a bit confident took a private lesson with Amar on a bit more complicated spot. That was the best decision i made on Tenerife. That was the best set I had. Saw how grown surfers do things) Thank you Amar for that time! Thanks to everyone who coached me. Best 10 days I could have. Will come back soon!

Nuestra primera experiencia con el surf no ha podido ser mejor, nuestro monitor ha sido genial, atento, profesional y muy divertido. Sin duda repetiremos experiencia cuando volvamos a la isla. 100% recomendable.

I can highly recommend the school. The owner Felix is totally customer oriented and want to offer the best service. There is also a big focus on cleanliness, quality boards and wetsuits. We had a blast with Kontraola! Thank you!

The staff working here are super friendly, I learned to surf renting their equipment and have been their customer for a few years, would recommend them to anyone who wants to try surfing

Yesterday (19.07) I was surfing at Las Americas when a very scared girl (I'd say 10-11 years old) asked me if I could help her. She was wearing surf school lycra so you can imagine I was quite surprised to find her alone out, with no adult around. I would't say waves were big, but poor kid was in panic and we all know how dangerous that could be. I got scared myself, I don't have any experience of helping children on water, obviously. So I managed to calm her down and of course started to ask her how did she end up here. She told me her surf teacher is probably somewhere there with her brother but that's have been a while since she saw him (!)
I don't pretend to know a lot about teaching surf, but I'm quite sure anyone would agree that surf instructor must not leave a child alone in water, unattended. I might agree that children could be complicated, especially when there's a big group of them. So I asked her if it's possible that her group went out without her. She said there where just her and her brother.
There somewhere was someone who call himself a surf teacher and I'm here like 15 min with a little girl he is responsible for and there's not a sign of someone looking for this kid. Her surf instructor appeared after all. Shouting me something like "where are you taking her, she's my student". Mmm helping a scared child you supposed to be taking care of!
I went back to line up with no further discussion. I find this situation extremely unappropriated though.
I don't require any explanations cause It wasn't my child and it wasn't me paying 50 eur for semi private class so that this teacher would leave one of two children he's teaching, abandoned without any idea what to do when wave is coming on her. I just think people need to know this school's idea of teaching children.

Espectacular escuela de surf! Recomendable 100%. Muy buen material, la atención de primera y los dueños son increiblemente simpáticos y dispuestos a ayudarte en todo lo que necesitas. Acabo de estar unos cuantos días en Tenerife, fui por recomendación a esta escuela y ha sido la mejor elección. Solo oia cosas buenas sobre esta escuela y llevaban toda la razón.
