La Masía del Mar

Ayer almorzamos en un restaurante muy bonito que tiene en su interior una preciosa maqueta de un barco de gran tamaño.
La sopa de pescado estuvo excelente al igual que el pulpo.
Es un poco más caro que nuestros restaurantes habituales pero valió la pena.

Los aperitivos y la langosta eran una broma por el precio.d. H. No valieron la pena. De los cuatro mejillones del plato, dos aún estaban cerrados, señal de que no estaban bien

Recomendado por nuestro hotel.
Al llegar, el personal parecía eficiente, sin embargo, después de tomar nuestra primera copa, esperamos un rato a que tomaran nuestro pedido. Estaban ocupados y llegamos temprano, así que eso no fue un problema. Bebimos nuestras bebidas y pedimos otra (dos veces) que nunca llegó, volvimos a pedir una bebida y finalmente conseguimos otra. Nuestros entrantes eran hermosos, vinieron los platos principales (langosta y langostinos gigantes) que estaban bastante secos, pedimos papas fritas y verduras también, después de un rato esperando las verduras, le preguntamos a una joven dónde estaban nuestras verduras (dos veces) nunca llegaron, así que Empezamos a comer nuestros platos principales porque se estaban enfriando. El señor fue grosero cuando le pedí sal y vinagre, trajo ketchup y mayonesa a la mesa y siguió hablando en español cuando dijimos que éramos ingleses y no entendíamos. Anteriormente habíamos tenido una conversación con él y sabía que sólo hablábamos inglés. En general decepcionado con el servicio, no soy de los que se quejan, pero al final dije que nunca comimos nuestras verduras. A lo que respondieron lo quieres ahora? No lo hicimos cuando habíamos terminado de comer. Vinimos a pagar y nos ofrecieron una bebida de cortesía, lo cual exceptuamos, pagamos la cuenta y nos fuimos bastante decepcionados con la experiencia.

Desafortunadamente, nunca había comido un pan de ajo tan malo. Pan duro y sin amor rociado con aceite de ajo + frío.
El plato mixto de pescado estaba bien, pero muy aceitoso. Mi mujer comió merluza, que fue presentada descuidadamente junto a una hoja de lechuga. Las patatas fritas estaban empapadas.
Lamentablemente, sólo puedo negar con la cabeza por este elevado precio.

Restaurante maravillosamente ubicado en la bahía de La Caleta. La comida y el servicio fueron excelentes.

Terraza única, pero la comida no está a la altura de las expectativas.y los precios demasiado elevados para la calidad de la comida.

Y espectaculares. Vistas magnífica comida y muy buen servicio y finalmente el precio estupendo.

Don't be fooled by the downstairs exterior this place is big and it's good. Upstairs terrace gets you away from the visitors using the seafront promenade, behind this is another large room and along side it the garden terrace for drinks and coffee. Check out the extensive seafood counter and the impressive wine selection. You could come away from here with an empty wallet if you wanted to splash out or you could eat well for about 30 euros a head. Try the grouper or the hake, both excellent and, for a change, not smothered in garlic. Four of us had a good meal with excellent service in pleasant surroundings for less than 110 euros but that only included one glass of wine

Ubicado en un enclave top en La Caleta. Comimos más tarde de las 17h lo cual agradecimos enormemente. Servicio maravilloso por parte de todos los camareros y camareras. Pedimos una parrillada de pescado que no pudimos acabar. Muy recomendable

Restaurant chic et à la hauteur de ses plats. Le poisson en croûte de sel est magnifique, service impeccable, à recommander sans problème

I strongly recommend eating at La Maria del Mar. The food is incredible, very well cooked, the menu is so appealing that we had difficulty in choosing what to eat. We went for the cipirones and the grilled vegetables in entrée and the paella as main dish and all was awesome. We will be coming back to try some other sea food dishes as we were impressed this time. The paella was the best we had in Tenerife, as good as we had in Madrid some ears ago (at least it's what we remember as the paella from Madrid was the best we had until now). The service was very good, very nice and friendly staff. We were served quite quick as we sent to eat early (13 h which is early for Tenerife, the place filled up at 15 h), getting the check took very long and we just went up front and paid, the reason was obviously because the terrace was completely full at 15h. Ah yes, also the terrace and the view are amazing. As I said, we will be going back and we strongly recommend dining here

Terraza muy amplia con buenas vistas, lugar agradable y servicio correcto, suele haber pescados frescos todos los días.

Was here last week and I can‘t recommend it anymore. The fish was overcooked, the service unfriendly and I had the feeling they wanted us to leave fast to get the table free. When I asked the waiter if its possible to get more time to decide for a meal (he came at the table 3 times in 2minutes) he rolled his eyes and said something unpolite in spanish thinking I dont speak spanish - what I do as I grew up here. There are so many better and cheaper fish restuarants in the area - go to another place. Its not worth it.

Un poco desepcionante. Voy cada vez q me acerco al sur y siempre ha sido una atencion acorde al restaurante, pero este dia no. Comida no muy rica, sirvieron todo a la vez. El gazpacho horroroso, no pude comerlo, lo dije y lo cobraron.

I can't quite give this 5 stars. The fish soup was excellent and good value but the main course hake was a little overcooked for my taste. Great view from the upper deck.

El mejor restaurante del Sur para comer pescado, servicio del 10 y sobre el mar, se mezcla la profesionalidad, amabilidad, y calidad, Que más se puede pedir!

Schöne Aussicht auf das Meer und sehr frischen Fisch und Muschel. Essen lohnt sich. Nur zu Empfehlen!

Dishonest and overpriced. We were hoping for some fresh and lovely tasting fish, reasonably priced for the area, but unfortunately this wasn't to be the case.

Dorada is the local fish, so we opted for this, disappointedly though, it is rather underhandidly sold per 100 grams. What this means to you is, they weigh the fish whole, then fillet it, serving you a fraction of the weighed cost. Our fish cost €45, despite us receiving a small amount. This wouldn't have been so bad, if the fish was of good to exceptional taste. Unfortunately however, it was bland, and we had to season it with the salt on the table ourselves to add flavour. We paired the fish with grilled vegetables, which amounted to a small amount of thinly sliced veg (sliced longways to cover the plate), with a price you would pay for a main in other places on the island. Unfortunately we couldn't finish the vegetables.

As bi-annual visitors to the island, this is one place we will never return. With so many other places on the island selling fresh, well cooked fish, with reasonably prices, there is no reason to risk visiting this overpriced venue with bland fish. Thumbs down.

Lugar agradable pero los precios están muy altos para la calidad de los platos. Un almuerzo para dos 73 euros, aguacate con gambas, pescado frito x 1, filete empanado x1, solos, ensalada y papas aparte y 4 cervezas. Por mucho menos se almuerza en otros lugares hasta 3 o 4 personas. De seguro no repito.

Very nice place and very good food. The fish is amazing here same as the wine. Our experience was amazing, we totally liked it. A special thank you goes to Alfredo for his good service, his kindness and for helping us choosing the best from the menu. We totally recommend!

Very friendly service, great food. We loved the 'Gueldes' (some small fried fishes) and had some fantastic local Gin there (Maceronesian) for a good price. Would definitely go there again.

Fantastic paella ànd excellent restaurant service. Magnificent view of the bay from the terrace. Would highly recommend!

Relación precio calidad no merece la pena. Dicen que la especialidad es el arroz pero no está nada bueno.

Muy buena calidad de pescados. Amplia carta de vinos canarios y de la península. Trato excelente. Y la terraza encima del mar, espectacular.

Versuchts doch mal ohne die Kunden zu verarschen! Wenn man ungefragt etwas auf den Tisch gestellt bekommt, erwartet man nicht es nachher auf der Rechnung wieder zu finden! Das ist für ein angebliches Familien Restaurant ein ganz schlechter Stil. Der Fisch war gut, aber hin gehe ich trotzdem nie wieder.

Ich vergebe 5 Sterne trotz hoher Preise. Es ist alles sehr frisch und sehr lecker. Das Personal ist freundlich und hilfsbereit.
Eine absolute Empfehlung wer Fisch mag.

Very good restaurant, although I always order meat. We have been going there for at least 5 years and it's still as good. The food, the service and the view are excellent!

No merece la pena, el precio muy elevado y la calidad muy Justina. Se venden como especialista en arroces pero de eso nada, pedimos paella de marisco y más bien parecía una vegetariana además de que el arroz estaba duro y la paella se le pego al cocinero en la paellera. Las gambas cocidas parecían que estaban recalentadas en el microondas. Aunque suene raro así parecía. Vamos que no volvemos seguro
