Terrible, habitaciones muy pequeñas, gente hacinada, sucio, viejo, muy muy ruidoso. Los voluntarios que trabajan no hablan castellano. Lleno de alemanes de 20 años que hacen fiesta casi cada día, sin ningún respeto a la gente que duerme. No se lo recomendaría a nadie.

Además hay un gato, si ya eres alérgica, pues es el remate final. No recogieron los excrementos del gato en toda la semana que estuve ahí.

¡Personal increíble! La pasé muy bien allí y me encantó la vista al océano
El albergue siempre estaba tranquilo por la noche.
Definitivamente regresaré

La habitación Solaja era muy cómoda, espaciosa y transpirable. Los baños estaban limpios, excepto que algunos huéspedes llevaban mucha arena dentro de las duchas. La gente que trabajaba allí era increíble y amable. Recomiendo este albergue para viajeros solitarios. Me sentí seguro y agradable. Vendrá de nuevo. Además la ubicación es increíble.

Ventana azul fuel increíble! Todo los trabajadores fue muy simpático y con una buena ambiente! También taxi aeropuerto Las Palmas fue súper rápido y cómodo, y súper simpático! Voy a regresar prontito

Mi estancia en Ventana Azul fue absolutamente impresionante. El albergue está a sólo unos segundos del hermoso mar y cuenta con una increíble cocina al aire libre en la azotea. Las habitaciones son grandes y tienen mucho espacio de almacenamiento, taquillas y cortinas delante de cada cama.
El ambiente era realmente bueno y, después de unos días, me sentí como en un segundo hogar.
El personal fue realmente agradable y servicial.
Una noche, teníamos un compañero de cuarto con el que nos sentíamos incómodos y nos ayudaron a cambiar la habitación inmediatamente.
Nos alojamos allí por seis noches y, en general, fue el mejor albergue en el que me he alojado.
Y tienen un gato súper lindo:)

No me gusta escribir una crítica negativa sobre un establecimiento, pero en este caso tengo que hacerlo.

Reservamos una habitación doble a través de Booking, las fotos y la descripción eran engañosas, ya que sugerían que la habitación tenía su propio baño y no lo tenía (marcado entre líneas en la descripción, vea las fotos adjuntas).

La habitación diminuta, la cama muy incómoda, un vis-à-vis muy importante y el ruido hasta las 2 am. Habíamos reservado 3 noches pero al final solo nos quedamos una, habíamos pagado 3 por adelantado y el establecimiento se negó a reembolsarnos las 2 noches pasadas en otro lugar, porque supuestamente estaba escrito en el contrato.

El personal no es profesional y el dueño está ausente (tuvimos que regresar varias veces para obtener una respuesta cuando tuvieron que contactarnos nuevamente durante el día). El lugar es triste.

Sinceramente por el mismo precio encontramos mucho mejores, te aconsejo que sigas tu camino.

Lo siento por el establecimiento, pero espero que esta revisión pueda ayudar a otros, fue una experiencia muy mala.

PD: estamos acostumbrados a viajar en hostels

Tuve una gran experiencia en el albergue. ¡Todos son muy amables y muy serviciales! La recepción pudo organizar un traslado en taxi para mí al aeropuerto. El conductor fue puntual y muy amable. ¡Volvería en un santiamén!

El hostal fue genial! La gente súper agradable además tienen muchas actividades para hacer que puedes reservar en el mismo
Hostel y es como una gran casa donde tienes para cocinar dos cocinas grandes terraza y una sala de estar con guitarras y libros volveré sin duda

El mejor albergue en el que me he alojado. Definitivamente hay un ambiente familiar, y la terraza es el lugar perfecto para pasar el rato. Muchos viajeros solos facilitan conocer gente, y el personal y los voluntarios son excelentes. También recomendaría el servicio de traslado al aeropuerto desde y hacia el albergue. ¡Gracias por hacer que Las Palmas se sintiera como en casa durante el último mes! Definitivamente triste de partir.

Mi estadía en la ventana azul fué muy buena, hay un muy buen ambiente, hanitaciones muy bonitas y está justo delante de la playa. Las voluntarias son muy simpáticas y te ayudan en lo que necesites. Lo recomiendo mucho!

I spent 2 months at La VENTANA AZUL this past summer and I came back for a week in December. I really recommend it, with no hesitations! It is one of the best hostels of Las Palmas.with the best view on the beach and the ocean as well. Everyone is welcoming - both staff and guests. There is a real family atmosphere, with many activities organized together. It is very easy to connect, and the kitchen on the rooftop gives such a great vibe to the hostel!
The location is also perfect with so many restaurants and bars nearby, and the beach right in front of it.
10/10, would recommend with hesitation!:) had an amazing time

Es el mejor hostel surfero que he estado hasta ahora. Llevo 7 años viajando. Me sentí cómodo desde el primer momento. Solo buenas vibras. Muy prolijo, se nota la inversión de tiempo y amor en las instalaciones.

The best hostel in GC! The location is great, just in front of the surfspot, rooms are good and clean, and the rooftop is just the perfect place to gather together with other people! I loved the time spent in here, I’m going back 100%?

Clean and very good vibes! Very close to the beach for surfing. I met amazing people in the hostel. The staff is really nice as well. The rooftop is very nice to check the waves and to cook dinner.

Top Lage. Keine 100 m zum Strand. Alle Waren des täglichen Bedarfs in Laufweite erhältlich (zwischen 2 und 10 min). Sanitärbereich sehr sauber, im Erdgeschoss mehr Privatsphäre. Zimmer auch sauber und vor allem überraschend ruhig. Das absolute Highlight ist die Dachterrasse mit Meerblick und Außenküche. Coole Rock Bar 50 Meter entfernt.

My second stay within 2 months at Ventana Azul! The hostal just keeps getting better! They are constantly working on improving the facilities and now they have an indoor kitchen as well as the beautiful roof top terrace kitchen! This time I stayed for a whole 3 weeks and loved it. My favourite parts of my stay have to be, the family dinners, the cool activities they plan for everyone to get know each other and the staff! Noe, Ainhoa, Ceci, Sofi, Manu, Frida and Chloe are all so amazing and helpful! Thank you once again for a wonderful stay:) I will be back!

Le surf Hostel ventana azul est un hostel avec vue sur la mer, tu as un rooftop avec une cuisine à l air libre. Si trop de soleil ou il pleut? L’espace est abrité! Tu t y sens comme à la maison. Pour louer une board, il y a un shop qui a les prix les moins cher que j ai pu avoir et où l on peut bénéficier d une réduction en plus. Lors de mon séjour, les filles qui géraient l hostel avec Noémie ont été présentes, organisées et super sympas! Elles ont tout mis en œuvre pour que les ghests qui viennent de tout horizons se rencontrent et créent de nouvelles amitiés: jams, repas… Pour finir l hostel est situé dans un quartier animé, mélangé entre surf-touristes et locaux!
J’espère revenir et pouvoir retrouver tout ça!

Nice hostel in front of the beach, close to surf spots. All the team was super kind and the rooms and bathrooms are cleaned everyday. I strongly recommend this place!

Amazing Hostel! Well organised and really clean.
They have an open kitchen on the rooftop which is the perfect common area to connect with people and make new friends. You also have a view on the Surfspots La Cicer and Los Muellitos so you can check the waves during breakfast and go catch some waves right after.:)
Shops and everything are nearby and can easily be reached by walking.
The stuff is super friendly and will help you out will all your questions. I really had the best time at Ventana Azul:)

Great hostel, chilled vibes, amazing people. You can book lots activities and staff are always helpful. It has a view of the ocean from the roof top so you can see the conditions. Definitely coming back sometime!

"FLEXIBLE CANCELATION" is a big claim on the website. My experience was that the opposite is true. We had booked one night for two people and I had to cancel on short notice the night before our check-in. There were three reasons for my cancelation: 1) me and my friend were both coughing a lot that day and even we tested negatively we still were worried about infecting other people in a full hostel with Covid or some other disease. 2) I hurt my foot the day before, was in the hospital and had to walk on crutches. In the hostel, which I knew, you have to climb a lot of stairs which was barely possible for me. 3) We were able to extend our stay in our apartment (not too far from the hostel) for one night more which was on ground level and allowing us to isolate ourselves.

The night before the check-in when I got to know that we could extend our stay I informed the hostel about my cancelation with those reasons and was asking for a refund. Due to the special situation and also due to the fact that the hostel was fully booked and generally people were desperate for hostel beds on Saturdays I was expecting that a cancelation would be no problem. But the staff was not very responsive and having talked with the manager Paul on the following day he insisted on their "cancelation policy" declining any refunds. By the way on their FAQ it said if you cancel the day before arrival they refund 50%, of which not a word was mentioned to me. To be honest I am quite infuriated by the way the hostel handled this situation and their claim of FLEXIBLE CANCELATION is ridiculous. I would find it worrying that the owner of the hostel apparently prefers it to take guests in even if they have respiratory symptoms and even though it's just for one night and there is an alternative. Rather make some money while willingly risk the health of your own guests and ignoring the special needs of an emergency situation after an accident. This is a red flag for me and must not pay off, hence the review.

Hostal muy bien situado en pleno paseo marítimo y delante de un perfecto spot para surfear. Espacios comunes y habitaciones muy limpios y acogedores gracias al gran equipo humano del hostal! Sin duda para repetir!

Me and my friend had a terrible experience with their manager Paul. Abysmal service, not following their own cancellation policy. Avoid this place at all cost!

It was dirty. My bed was full of sand around the materace. In my room it was stinking with old vomit. The same in bathroom. First Hostel You can not listen to the music while cooking or eating.

One of the best hostels I've ever been to! Wonderful people, space for working & hanging out, and such a great location. I highly recommend it.

Great atmosphere, i love the rooftop with it's open kitchen and chill area. The beds are really great, both in size and in quality of the matresses. The staff is really friendly and the building has a great aesthetic, too bad i could only be here for 3 days

I spent only one night at LA Ventana but I could immediately get an idea of the amazing environment there. The hostel is nice and clean and and the staff is so friendly. I hope to be back soon.

I loved my time in the hostel and I was sad to leave! The stuff and volunteers do a fantastic job to make the guests feel 'at home'. Also, the location is amazing especially if you are in LP for surfing.

One of my favorite hostels in the world. So good to meet other surfers and the staff is incredibly friendly and nice. Highly recommended

Estuve hospedado en La Ventana Azul en Agosto/Septiembre de 2021. Sin lugar a duda, uno de los mejores alojamientos en los que he tenido el placer de poder hospedarme. Lo mejor, para mí, fue el equipo de voluntarios que había. Me hicieron sentir como parte de su familia desde el primer momento. La ubicación del hostel es inmejorable, delante de la Playa de las Canteras. Las instalaciones son realmente muy agradables. Les recomiendo encarecidamente esta experiencia. Repetiría sin dudarlo.

Schönes Hostel mit toller Dachterrasse mit Blick aufs Meer. So kann man beim Frühstück direkt die Wellen checken bevor man dann surfen geht. Fußläufig alles zu erreichen was man braucht -Strand, Surfshops, Restaurants, Supermärkte. Das Personal ist super nett und hilft bei allem was man braucht.
Für mich war die Matratze viel zu weich und es war nachts sehr warm im Zimmer, richtig lüften war schwierig, weil es im Erdgeschoss war, das Problem gibt es in den Zimmern aber nicht und insgesamt hatte ich trotzdem einen tollen Urlaub.

Super cool hostel with an awesome rooftop kitchen and comfortable rooms. I stayed in a beautiful room with view on the beach and could listen to the waves and feel the breeze all night long. The volunteers are super fun and helpful! Facilities were very clean too:) thank you and see you soon.

I’ve been very lucky as I enjoyed my stay in Ventana as a guest and as staff member. Everything in there invite you to relax, chill, and be friends with other guests. Staff is friendly and laid back, cleanliness is high standard, the terrace is the best and they have partnership with other organizations for different activities such as yoga, surf lessons, hiking and also paragliding!
Very recommended for short or long stay, solo travelers or group of friends.
Not a party house so it’s respectful for working times and sleep times.
I Arrived there feeling lonely and they become part of a family.

This place definitely has a soul in it! Every little detail in this place is thoughtfully designed to be as functional as possible but at the same time offer that chilled vibe. The staff was great too - Rodrigo and Nicole were particularly nice and helpful.

Just stayed in the hostel for one week to go surfing. Honestly a great experience. The people that work/volunteer there are very nice and willing to help. The rooms and bathrooms are clean. Overall the atmosphere is very welcoming and that's a major plus in any hostel. Location is also perfect, 40 metres from the beach, restaurants and surfschools. And a great roof terrace, thanks for the stay guys!:)

Wonderful! Since I walked in La Ventana Azul I fell in love with the place! Amazing people, wonderful vibe and stunning view on the ocean. I would not change this place for any other in Las Pamas. If you are looking for meeting new people and go surfing everyday, this is the perfect place!

I visited much places on the island and I can say that The best hostel in las Palmas is la Ventana Azul, magic atmosphere, good family, good WiFi, well connected with mains point of attraction and one of the best view of the city.

Hi, This Hostel, not too big, very personal, lots of things they organise in and outdoors. Front door at the promenade. So beach and surfspot in walking distance, like wise shops, restaurants, main square, bus 60 or 31 (station Santa Catalina) to the airport and other destinations. Nice large rooftop at the first floor. Lots of people come here a second time. Staff is cleaning three times a day. Price/quality also fine.

Staying in La Ventana was definitely the best decision I could have possible made. The members of the staff were taking care of us very well, showing us around, socialising, organising activities. The hostel has a perfect location just by the beach, close by to any kinds of shops, bars, and restaurants. Great place to spend some free time or work is the hostel’s rooftop with the ocean view. Curtains of the bed gives you a sense of privacy. Cannot wait to go back whenever it’s possible!

Senza dubbio il miglior posto per alloggiare a Las Palmas, per posizione, ambiente, gente che puoi conoscere. La spiaggia é letteralmente a un metro, la terrazza é spettacolare, i prezzi piu che onesti e fai un sacco di amicizie interessanti:)

I have seen so many Hostels within the last 6 years and the Ventana Azul is definitely one of the best I ever stayed at. The atmosphere is amazing, right infront of the ocean. It is clean, there were so many activities the staff organized in the evening. They helped out with tips and everything. All in all it was a little family! Thanks to Edu, Kiana and Bryn. You and all the others made/make the place the way it is.

Very friendly staff and clean hostel. Best location you can get to hang out at the beach or go surfing. They also offer lots of activities during the days and social events in the evenings.

I stayed one week in La Ventana Azul in January and I wish I could stay more because I really enjoy the stay:)
The hostel is well located (on the beach, near from facilities,)
The staff is very friendly and helpful. They helped me to discover the isle and propose different activities like surfing, climbing, sailing, lunch,
They create a nice ambiance, the hostel is very cosy. The roof top is a perfect place to chill and the seaview is awesome!

I felt in love with this place! It was really amazing to take my breakfast on the roof, watching the sea.
Never mind if you’re alone or with friends, this hostel is the perfect place to meet new people. There are a lot of activities suggested in the hostel. There are also a lot of excursions suggested by the staff.
The boss and the manager, Thomas and Edouard, are really friendly, as the whole staff, who makes a perfect work! Finaly, the location of the hostel is just in front of the sea, and 5 minutes walking to the center.
Can’t wait to come back.

I stayed 10 days over Christmas and New Years Eve and I really enjoyed my holidays so much. The staff is super friendly, they always have an answer to every question, very helpful, funny people always smiling and ready to chat with you. For several evenings they cooked for us and it really felt like family. The rooms/bathrooms are very tidy (cleaning every day) The location in front of the sea is just perfect and every day starts with a coffee and seaview. You will simply love the roof top Terrasse! I highly recommend La Ventana Azul, you will fall in love like I did!

Great, easy and clean hostel with an awesome rooftop terrace with a cozy chillout area and a great view to the beach, because it is located directly at the seafront. Every evening there are different activities, e.g. Pub crawls, dinner or cocktail nights and also for outdoor activities during the day they have many offers. So it is easy to meet new people and feel familiar over here, because the staff members are doing a great job and create an welcoming-atmosphere in this nice hostel. Highly recommandable!

The hostel is situated in a beautiful spot, just few meters from the beach. Perfect place for surf, visit the city but also relax and pass good time with great people.
The team are super nice and friendly, they propose always some activities and nice events all around the city.
Take a break from everything and go to enjoy this little corner of paradise.
