Me encantó todo sobre Maraya coliving & coworkingEs un lugar donde puedes concentrarte en el trabajo y relajarte después de terminar tu día. Tiene muchos espacios, Internet rápido, piscina increíble, cocina al aire libre y espacio para hacer ejercicio. Me encantaron los desayunos y cenas caseros, el yoga al amanecer y otras actividades también. Pero lo más importante es la gente. Personas muy amables, serviciales, de mente abierta y positivas ¡Un lugar y una comunidad maravillosos! ¡Gracias por todo Maraya!

¡La mejor estancia de mi vida de nómada digital! Los chicos aquí han creado la comunidad/espacio perfecto donde instantáneamente te sientes como en casa. Café al amanecer en la azotea, yoga al atardecer en el jardín, comidas GOURMET (incluidas), trabajo desde las tumbonas de la piscina, actividades increíbles y la mejor vibra. Reserva con antelación porque es difícil conseguir plaza. Definitivamente regresaré porque es increíble, además olvidé un calcetín en el cuarto de lavado.

Pasamos una velada mágica combinando una cena Gourmet divina, un concierto en vivo, gente magnífica que conocimos tarde con una causa humanitaria, es para mí la manera más hermosa de pasar un buen rato una noche de sábado, todas las ganancias de esto La velada será para los niños de la asociación Agarimo For Africa. Gracias

Hay muchos lugares fantásticos desde donde trabajar. Incluyendo áreas dedicadas alrededor del jardín, algunos lugares apartados donde puede realizar una llamada y espacios de trabajo dentro de la casa. ¡Todo con una cobertura wifi perfecta!

Los desayunos y cenas siempre son deliciosos. ¡Hay mucha variedad en la comida preparada con las mejores verduras y frutas locales y mucho amor! En algunas ocasiones hay cocina comunitaria o increíbles pizzas recién salidas del horno:)

Lo más importante es que Maraya tiene que ver con la comunidad y las vibraciones positivas que están en el corazón del lugar. Conoces gente increíble, puedes unirte a todo tipo de eventos o simplemente relajarte en la piscina. Los voluntarios y los gerentes dan lo mejor de sí todo el tiempo y son de gran ayuda si tienes algún problema dentro o fuera de la casa.

¡No puedo esperar para regresar!

Es una asociación enclavada en un ambiente natural y a la vez rural en la parte alta de Candelaria, Araya y donde la gente que acude de todas partes de Europa y España realizan sus tareas laborales a la vez de ayudar y colaborar en el mantenimiento, cultivo y cuidado del entorno.

Amazing place to work and play. Great communal vibe, easy distance to Candelaria. With the breakfast daily and dinner 4 nights a week you will save so much money if you are usually in the city. Hiking, biking, skating, and surfing are all possible through the owners which is a big bonus.

Like me, you’ll probably be thinking that a clean sweep of 5 stars reviews is unbelievable, perhaps even suspicious. But I am pleased to report it is completely justified. These guys have nailed it - great hosts, great daily activities, great house, great people. I hope to be back x

Maraya is literally the paradise for remote workers and digital nomads! Maraya is not only a spacious and well-designed house immersed in the nature of the foothill of Candelaria but also a hart-warming community full of amazing people that will soon feel like family to you. Daytime focus, fantastic activities, good energy, healthy food and strong connections made my stay an unforgettable one.

Maraya is just a magical place to live and work from while on Tenerife! Thanks to the amazing team of founders and volunteers - you rock!

Che dire di Maraya? Dal primo giorno è diventata una casa lontano da casa. Dallo scorso 1 ottobre sono tornata tre volte e ho già prenotato le prossime due. Ormai un appuntamento ricorrente. La crew che è famiglia, casa e giardino inimmaginabili, yoga all'alba vista oceano, cene comunitarie rigorosamente veg e surf vibes.

Another great stay at Maraya. The perfect place to work remotely. Very chilled vibes with options for lots of activities, meeting new people and having a great time. It's obvious that Maraya is a passion project for the boys that run it. A lot of attention to detail for making this the best possible experience it can be.

I'm not going to write a long review, plently of other people have done that before me. My advise to anyone readng this is simply to book and go to Maraya and experience the unique beauty of the place for yourself.you can thank me when you get back! Great place to work and relax, beautiful view! Coliving was special with the community. There were some good meals and activities also organized by the amazing staff.

Maraya is something else. The house and rooms are comfortable, the outdoors space is amazing, and the vibe is so chill. The managers and volunteers are helpful, fun and just amazing human beings to be around. Everyone works hard, but also knows how to relax and enjoy life. Perfect place for life-work balance and meet amazing people. Loved staying there and will definitely come back!

I would highly recommend staying at Maraya if you're visiting Tenerife. The house and garden are beautiful, community is amazing, and the team is putting a lot of effort into making everyone included and welcomed. Lots of fun activities to do on your time off work as well. Thank you for everything, Maraya!

I spent 5 weeks in Maraya this summer, and my experience couldn't have been better. The staff is not only welcoming, it really feels like family, a community, there is a great sense of togetherness created by the staff as well as the guests.

Whenever any issues came up, they were addressed, and the team goes beyond the norm to make everyone feel welcome.

It's also a great place to learn from each other, share your skills, collaborate - as well as to relax, have fun and just enjoy the island life.

I made amazing friends there and look forward to coming back.

I’m from Australia and stayed at Maraya Coliving for 6 weeks in June and July of 2022.

I planned to stay for one week, but ended up extending upon realising how special the Maraya community is! As a result, I moved between the dorms and private rooms Blue Horse, Memphis and Mochi.

ROOMS
Dorms - Great for making friends quickly. The dorms are extremely comfortable and there’s only 6 beds. My sleep was never disturbed as each bed has a thick curtain enclosing it and its own lockable compartment in the bed head, each guest has their own shelf / cubicle in the separate lounge area, and the bathroom is separated from the dormitory by a hallway.

Private Rooms - All of the private rooms are great, and have their own pros and cons. Memphis has a fantastic view of the ocean and a large desk (I was most productive here). Blue Horse is quite private as it’s towards the back of the house and conveniently located next to the shared bathrooms. Mochi is the most private, with its own bathroom, on the second floor and separated from the dormitory by the indoor kitchen, however it’s harder to integrate with the community from there.

Ants - At the beginning of my stay there were ants in my room, and at times a few in my bed, but this was never particularly bad and I was conscious that this was Maraya's first summer. Fortunately during my stay, Maraya hired professionals to ant-proof the house and this completely eliminated the ant issue in all rooms.

VALUE
Maraya provides breakfast every morning (consisting of eggs, oatmeal, fruits, vegetables, toast and an array of milks, cereals & yoghurts) and four dinners per week. The dinners vary from paella (cooked traditionally on an open fire) to pizza night (with hand stretched dough in the pizza oven), African stews and Japanese inspired bowls. Particularly for vegetarian food, Maraya is probably “the best restaurant” in Tenerife and I never ate the same dish twice.

For lunch, most guests cook with fresh vegetables and herbs from Maraya’s garden (free) and groceries from the supermarket.

ACTIVITIES
Many of Maraya’s activities are also hosted by the community’s volunteers who range from Canarian locals to travellers who have lived on the island for several months. Guests can also organise activities themselves.

Surfing - One of the owners Ben is a fantastic surf instructor. His classes are small (approximately four guests at a time) and unlike many other surf instructors, Ben is always in the water to provide one-on-one guidance.

Other Activities - Hiking, beach, surf skating, nights out, massages (by Flor / “Titi).

COMMUNITY
In my 10 years of travel, I’ve only been part of such a special community once, and the incredible thing about Maraya is that the community doesn’t rely on just one person (guest or staff), but Maraya’s culture of trust and values - So people will come and go, but the Maraya community is always amazing.

For me, Maraya’s community starts with how everybody eats together, and the types of people who are attracted to Maraya tend to be health & wellness conscious, athletic and creative. There's also a strong entrepreneurial culture so many guests end up collaborating and supporting each other’s work. A lot of other guests work for startups and large corporations in Europe and the UK, and most are vegetarian and regularly practice yoga.

My favourite weeks at Maraya were also catalysed by guests who volunteered to host “Skillshare” workshops such as for Human Design, Photography, and Contact Improvisation. So if there’s anything you can teach, please share!

And finally, Maraya’s owners are young surfers themselves who live on the property and have created a community based on their favourite travel experiences. You’ll be able to spend a lot of time with them, and enjoy a very intimate and organic experience. Occassionally, they'll host a party or art exhibition and that's a great way to meet expats and locals who live in Tenerife!

I've been in a lot of colivings, and I can say that Maraya is a special place. Surrounded by nature, beautiful garden with an outdoor kitchen & swimming pool. It is easy to become part of the community and form deep relationships with other people here. I enjoyed all the activities we did together (yoga, surf, surfskate, Culture&Art event in Maraya, hikes, concert night, snorkeling, movie night etc.).

Also the breakfast and dinner that guys prepared for us was always great! It's a bit unique concept, because most of the colivings don't provide breakfast and dinner. Overall, this is that kind of a place that you won't want to leave. Good job and see you soon!

Beautiful spot (house, out door kitchen, many chill areas in the garden or around the pool, beautiful vegetable garden, rooftop) fancy decorated, clean, nature friendly.great people with good vibes. You can easily feel like home.awsome breakfasts and dinners, activities are organised regularly. The location is also nice, just outside of a charming non touristic little town on the seaside: Candelaria.which has nice restaurants if you want to eat outside without taking a car.and close enough to any spot of interest like natural parc of Anaga and beautiful north beaches, cities, villages.and south is also easily reachable from there. I really recommend it! Thanks to all the team of Maraya:)

I recommend staying here. They offer tons of value, and they do it with style- delicious food, comfortable spaces to lounge/work, good music taste, nice interior decoration, and daily activities to include everyone.

The shared meals + activities + volunteer to guest ratio create a true co-living experience rather than a typical hostel/any other co-living, co-work space I've been to. Once you arrive, you will need to integrate into a group of people who are already well settled. So if you're a bit introverted/sensitive, just be patient.

But given this, if you are just passing through for a week or so, you will likely end up wanting to stay longer. I think it's the perfect place for a month or more of living.

Also, if you prefer your independence, rent a car- it's cheap. But if you don't, they do a good job of offering trips to the supermarket and have a car you can rent for 20/euro day. But you'll have to either wait for group trips to the supermarket, or have to coordinate with a volunteer to let you use the car. This is done in person or over Slack, so in terms of communication, you will have to be flexible/patient.

My most tangible feedback is that they should put a fan in every bedroom. Also, because Maraya is special, people are drinking the Koolaid and I think that a customer-oriented mindset can get lost and some things overlooked. It's a young company, so you will get to stay and be a part of a place that's maturing, and will likely be around for years! Be open with the staff too, they are receptive and caring.

So BOOK IT for as long as you can, and rent a car if you think you'll want to do a lot of exploring independently. If you don't rent a car (many don't), you'll still find opportunities to explore with others. But, don't arrive hungry if you won't have a car. And if you do, take the somewhat sketchy walk to El Molino because it's delicious and friendly service.

You won't regret staying at Maraya! Have fun.

I spent 3 weeks in beautiful Maraya, this place is really unique and offered so many things I love.
I very quickly felt home, welcomed by amazingly friendly and open minded people.

It's all about nature, simplicity, kindness, positivity and fun!
While it's also the perfect place to get your job done as a digital nomad. There are many different places in and out where you can work, for me it was really hard to pick just one as they are all so nice so I basically changed spot several times a day
Maraya has this perfect balance: your job, a very comfortable room, delicious meals, super cool activities: yoga, surfskate, hikes, surf.
You can really feel how much work, creativity, love and joy have been put into this place and the community is truly reflecting the soul of it

This place is so special. The balance between fun, authentic relationship making and personal space to work/read/energise is just right. You can really tell how much love went into creating Maraya- it's visually stunning with such attention to detail (an environment you'd genuinely like to live in rather than those hostel-themed hostels) and systems that really work (like personal drawers, just the right amount of activities and meals, plug sockets in the convenient places etc). Props to the whole team who had the vision to make it happen.plotting my next return ️

This is an excellent location for remote workers and nomads. Awesome, warm environment, everyday activities (yoga, surfing, hiking, and so much more), and delicious homemade vegetarian breakfasts and dinners all add to this coliving vibe. Both the staff and the other guests make you feel right at home. Everything you need to be productive when working from a variety of workspaces both indoors and outdoors. If you're seeking for a decent work-life balance, give it a try.

Maraya has everything and has been more than a second home for me! Inspiring yoga in the morning on the rooftop, a very comprehensive breakfast, a house cat, hammocks, an amazing vibe with amazing people from all over the world and the most helpfull and kind staff! Thank you so much for the experience I've had; I'll be back one day to check on the garden ;)

Maraya is really something else, one of its kind. A gem hidden on the foothils of Candelaria, not just a house or a regular coliving, but a thriving community full of amazing people that feel like a family to you in no-time. Not to mention that the space, service, food is way above the standard. I'll be coming back here for sure.

A superb place for co-working and co-living with like minded digital nomads and other remote workers<3 I really loved the friendly atmosphere and relaxed but still professional people. You can always choose for privacy or social in this huge villa and its pretty outdoor areas.

Lovely experience. Stayed one month, and it really changed my whole perception of Teneriffe - in good.
The food cooked by the hosts was absoluetly amazing  (breakfast and some dinners included) and I loved that this created a family-like bond with all guests.  The hosts are wonderful people.
A few things I found great there: live-jam sessions, table tennis competitions, private surf lessons (non-commercial), their garden outdoor cinema, and this 80's vibes around the entire concept of the house.  You'd probably need a car, not just here but for the entire island. Somehow this island is not much walking friendly. A few of us rented a car and we did trips to Anaga and natural pools daily from there.

Overall it's a place that you can easily call Home after a while, and definitely worth coming back to.  Looking forward to it!:)

Believe all the positive things people have said in the previous reviews. I won't repeat them, but they all ring true. If you are looking for great community, great hosts, great fellow guests, this is the place to stay. A bit out of town, but with so much going on at the house I didn't feel the need to go out that much. And when I did, the people with cars were generous with rides. Six stars!

Stayed 5 weeks, was incredible. You can focus on work and still join nice activities every day, food is great, weather is great, people are great.

Maraya es un lugar mágico. Tiene una energia muy especial. Es perfecto tanto si quieres ir a trabajar, conocer gente o visitar Tenerife. Yo me he sentido como en casa, la vdd. Los hosts son gente super respetuosa que te deja total libertad para que tú puedas hacer tu día día como quieras. Se prestan a ayudarte en cualquier cosa y conviven contigo como uno más. Es un espacio donde vas a tener tu tiempo para divertirte, concentrarte y relajarte a partes iguales. Es una experiencia única que espero que se mantenga durante mucho tiempo porque yo estoy pensando ya en volver y eso que me acabo de marchar

This is a really special place. It’s way more than just a ‘co-living’ spot. The boys have done a great job of engendering a community/family vibe, guests eat together, play together and there is a weekly schedule of activities from
Hiking to ecstatic dance. It’s also just a really stunning property which has been refurbished with love in an idyllic location. All in all it’s first class. Go!

It's the best and most open-hearted, loving place in whole Tenerife. The facilities are way above standard and the team is supernice. Yoga, breakfast & dinner, a rooftop terrace, pool, poolhouse = kitchen and socialising space, hammocks, chillout area, instruments for jam sessions, Mayo the family cat. Life is beautiful ️

If I could give more than 5 stars I would. Maraya coliving is a small utopia. The guys who have created maraya are clearly visionaries and they’ve found a real passion in endlessly optimizing a place. My compliments, gratitude and admiration for Maraya! ‍️

When I thought the Coliving concept couldn't get better, Maraya Coliving opened up.

First let's start with the people. The hosts, Ben, Dave, Domi and Lucca are incredibly friendly, fun and brilliant. Along with the volunteers that were there during my stay—Basti, Marco, Flo, Jackie, Alice and Lucas—which are sensational and super welcoming!

Could it get better? Wait for it. To top it off, the guests when I was at Maraya were fantastic: Barbara, Jo, Greta, Cande, Federica, Natalie, Daniella, Therese, thank you! It was lovely to share this time with you all.

The community at Maraya is amazing. The meals together, the activities that are organized throughout the week, working together in the office. It's incredible to think how just after a few days, I felt so at home with these people. They were my family!

And for those that are introverts—like myself—don't be concerned about the amount of people in the house. The Coliving is so big and open that there's always enough room for you to have your me-time, or enjoy socialising in smaller groups.

Let's follow up with the property. You have pretty much anything you could ask for:
- Inmense pool? Checked.
- Jamming stage with instruments. You've got it.
- Ping pong table with enough space to play Around The World? Done.
- Lovely garden with veggies, a bonfire and beautiful huts where the hosts and volunteers live.
- Two kitchens, one of them outdoors where you can have dinner looking at the moon. Yep.
- An office with the best views on the island. You get it remote workers.
- Cozy bedrooms to rest peacefully and to have your Zoom calls. Yes please.
- A rooftop with amazing 360 views, to do Yoga, workout or lie down and watch the sunrise—yes, there are beds in the rooftop.
- And probably more things that I've forgotten, and more that Domi will keep building ️, but dinner's getting cold. You get the idea.

And last but not least, the area. Tenerife is unique when it comes to this. You can drive 30 minutes by car and be in a different micro-climate. The great thing about this side of the island where Maraya is located, is that you get to enjoy the warm weather of the south, while at the same time you're close to the big city—Santa Cruz—and to the north.

In a bit more than 10 minutes by foot, you get to the town of Candelaria and Punta Larga, where you have pretty much everything you need: supermarkets, banks, gyms, pharmacies, a mall. It's a very local town, it doesn't feel touristic at all, which in my opinion makes the experience even better.

If you're considering staying at Maraya, go for it. My bet is that you won't regret it, and my hope is that you enjoy it as much as I did.

I very much enjoyed my two weeks at Maraya. I’ve felt at home from the start. There is always something going on here if you’re looking for activities with other people and if you want to focus on work that’s also possible. The community breakfast and dinners are great. I definitely want to come back.

When I arrived I instantly wanted to stay longer! It is such a nice and relaxed place where you instantly feel relaxed. The perfect place to combine remote working with a holiday feeling. The office with ocean view is amazing and every room has it's own desk. The daily breakfast and dinners are absolutely delicious, it doesn't get better than this.

Great place for vacations and remote work. Spent one week here and would have loved to stay longer. Very friendly community of staff and other guests, perfect infrastructure for remote work (various office opportunities) or just for enjoying the vibe next to the pool.
Food is changing and very tasty, also great for vegetarians. Cannot wait to get back there!

This place is incredible, I don't even know where to start.
I work remotely and for me it was super important to have a place where I can get work done but also relax and enjoy the island.
I promise you will have everything you need as digital nomad, fast WiFi, dedicated place to work with amazing views, plus each room has its own desk and chair.
On top of this you are living in this beautiful house, where you are treated to healthy and lovingly prepared to breakfast and dinner, lots of activities to take part on and have amazing hosts that will make sure everybody is happy:)
The house is so large that I had to be surprised every dinner when we gathered at the table of how many we were. It's so well balanced!
I want to thank the five amazing hosts and volunteers working there for a wonderful time.
