En Alemania (es decir, Munich) nunca volveré a alquilar con Sixt, sin embargo la gran experiencia en Tenerife me convenció de volver a reservar con ellos en otros países, especialmente en España.

Alquilé un vehículo por primera vez y estamos contentos de que todo haya funcionado tan bien. La señora de recepción fue muy amable y servicial e incluso nos mostró recorridos en un mapa y nos dio consejos sobre dónde comer lejos de las atracciones turísticas. El vehículo estaba súper limpio y tuvimos suerte y obtuvimos una mejora. Las devoluciones también funcionaron rápida y fácilmente. Nos encantaría volver. Gracias

Llevó hora y media intentando comunicarme con la oficina y no hay forma tengo una reserva y no 3ncuentro la oficina d3 Costa adeje. Esto es de vergüenza

El coche de alquiler estaba cerca del Hotel RIU Arecas, llegamos andando en 5 minutos. El coche está aparcado en un aparcamiento subterráneo. La recogida y devolución funcionó sin problemas. El único pequeño inconveniente fue que el propietario sólo hablaba inglés y español. De lo contrario el mejor servicio

Alquilamos un coche (de gama baja) por un día y cuando llegamos nos dieron un cambio gratuito a un Audi a1.
Servicio impecable.
Alquilan incluso si no tienes 21 años por un pequeño recargo y también aceptan tarjetas de débito.
El dinero del depósito me fue devuelto al día siguiente.
Coche limpio y en excelentes condiciones, personal cortés y atento.

Experiencia muy agradable, la señora de recepción nos explicó todo sobre el vehículo y nuestros diferentes lugares de devolución. Nos ofreció una actualización paga, pero cuando la rechazamos, no insistió y aceptó nuestra decisión sin ningún problema. Tuvimos una pequeña charla sobre la isla y luego partimos con nuestro vehículo: Audi A3 30 tfsi manual. Recomendaría este lugar si desea un automóvil de nivel superior.

A great place to rent a car, excellent customer service from Georgina and Maria. Car was upgraded to a BMW X1which was like new, an excellent drive, just had to pay a small upgrade fee per day.
Will be back to hire from here again when back in Tenerife

Nous avons été très bien reçues par Fernando qui nous a surclassé (nous devions avoir un T cross et nous avons eu un tiguan) après adhésion à une assurance (sur place). Très satisfaites du véhicule qui était très propre et récent avec un GPS qui nous a beaucoup servi! Merci beaucoup:)

The rental office was easy to find and all the staff were very friendly and competent. The car (Audi A1) was working perfectly. Good balance price - quality.

Dishonest and threatening!

The service was fair and polite when I was there. Unfortunately I have since been harassed continually for damage that I did not incur. Having politely declined to pay and requested a rationale for this I eventually received a letter from a collections agency. Very disappointed in Sixt for their poor and dishonest conduct. I do not recommend using Sixt, unless you would like to be harassed and threatened to make further payments without grounds.

Update: After several weeks of trying to contact sixt I have received no reply but continue to receive threatening letters and emails.

Very friendly and helpful service. Audi Q2 was nice (actually ordered a VW) but gearing and torque not optimal for the lovely windy and steep Tenerife mountain roads - find on the main roads. Return to airport was easy, although didn't expect key drop only at 5.45pm.

Very friendly & good service. Due to a overall system failure of Sixt we could not activate company & Gold Card Discounts. But the team offered us a solution.

I could really recommend that Sixt station.

Booked in advance, knowing that the situation with getting hire cars can be a bit hit and miss since the pandemic. Booked a Peugeot 308 or similar. When we arrived the car we had booked had engine trouble so we were given a c-class Mercedes at no extra cost. LOvely car and we had a wonderful 3 days exploring the island. Staff were helpful and friendly.

I had a mixed experience when I rented a car recently at Costa Adeje on Tenerife

I was offered an upgrade to a Mercedes SLC Cabriolet which was a great car and very enjoyable to drive. Unfortunately the built-in satnav didn't work reliably. The maps and software were on a plug in SD card which was damaged and wouldn't remain locked in position. The satnav was effectively unusable. I called back at the Sixt office during the rental and the staff there tried to fix it but couldn't. This problem didn't seriously detract from our enjoyment of the car though.

A more serious problem arose when I extended the rental period by 1 more day from 3 days to 4. When I checked the updated bill for the extended period in my Sixt app I noticed that there was a disproportionately high charge for the extra day. This arises because the Sixt system automatically applies the same daily rate for all 4 days and effectively applies a retrospective surcharge for the 3 days that I had already rented the car for. It would have been more cost effective for me to finish the rental after 3 days and take out a new contract for the extra day.

This option wasn't offered to me at the time and I have subsequently been refused a credit for the price difference - even one based on customer goodwill. I think that their charging system for extra days amounts to unfair practice and I wouldn't have expected it of an otherwise excellent company like Sixt.

Hopefully this will be useful input for any other Sixt customers considering extending a rental period. It would be worth checking to see what the cost would be to finish the current rental and take out a new contract for the extra day (s).

I rented a car with Sixt during the Christmas period. The car had 16 recorded damages to it before the rental and was told that all was recorded and fine. After the rental period I was told all was fine and they called a taxi for us. To my surprise they claimed damage to the car after I had left and now charge me for the repairs. They asked me for evidence to show I had not caused it, which I could through pictures I took of the vehicle prior to the rental period starting. Those were ignored to be able to invoice me before year end so it could get booked before year end. As evidence they send pictures of the car at a completely different rental location without the damage. For every document and argument they make, I am able show evidence it isn't true. It seems Sixt tries to make money off its customers through false damage claims. I am sure there are customers that cause damage, however I expect that Sixt employees thoroughly examine the car and treat customers honestly, rather than lying. It now makes more sense why they were extremely pushing trying to sell extra insurance when I picked up the car.
If you are still planning to rent at this Sixt location, I really recommend you to run through the entire list of damages with an employee present and make sure everything is recorded in the file including pictures! They have detailed maps of the car with all damages, so would recommend asking for a printout when renting to avoid being cheated afterwards.

Sehr freundliche Bedienung. Auf Wunsch brachten sie mir das Auto zum Hotel in Playa de las Américas. Habe diesen Service, trotz Aufpreis, sehr geschätzt. Auto ist, wie gewohnt, in einem sehr guten Zustand. Sixt kann ich nur weiterempfehlen.

Brand new car (Mercedes c class AMG)
Nearly half the price of the car hire in our hotel
Get the zero excess option for about 20 euros-
big kerbs and drop offs on the mountain roads
All in all spot on and would not hesitate to recommend

Company lies to it's customers. Manager Recommended not to fulfill fuel tank becuaose of "special promo empty tank" only for 18 EURO.
After finalising of rent that's was invoice for 18 EURO for empty tank + CHARGE for fuel which was used.
Of course there were no word that 18 EURO was just for service not to go to gas station. Pretty sad experience.

Wir haben 3 Tage einen Fiat 500c gefahren. Cooles kleines Auto mit dem 2 Personen überall auf Teneriffa problemlos hinkommen. Es lief auch super. Die Abwicklung der Vermietung und die Rückgabe waren sehr korrekt und äußerst freundlich. Die beiden jungen Damen waren sehr freundlich. Sehr zu empfehlen.

Disgusting experience. The only thing that was good was Melissa at the check-in. Next is a nightmare
