¡Una experiencia fantástica como siempre! Era la tercera vez que visitábamos este restaurante y cada vez nos sorprende la calidad de la comida y lo deliciosa que es. ¡Desde la comida hasta la elección de bebidas, aquí no te puedes equivocar! El propietario es la persona más encantadora y habla muy amablemente y te hace sentir como en casa. 100% algo que debes hacer cuando estés en Corralejo, pero te recomendaría que hagas una reserva con anticipación ya que están ocupados debido a su excelente comida y reputación.

Lo visité en mayo de 2023 con mi hija pequeña y mi pareja. La comida fue la mejor que probé durante todas las vacaciones. Muchas gracias por cuidar de nosotros 3. Maravillosa conversación y comida increíble. Fuimos los primeros en llegar, así que tuvimos toda la atención. Asombroso.

Fue realmente una gran experiencia.
Ambiente extremadamente relajado. Uno de los propietarios, aquí el camarero, fue muy amable y extremadamente agradable.
Los precios están un poco por encima de la media, pero totalmente justificados. Tómate tu tiempo, porque eso es lo que quieres, no es procesamiento masivo. Las comidas eran muy sabrosas y bien equilibradas. Tómese su tiempo y reserve con mucha antelación. Con 1 o 2 semanas de antelación, seguro que tendrás una mesa en un buen momento. Desafortunadamente, los clientes sin cita previa tienen pocas posibilidades de conseguir una mesa de forma espontánea. Si volviera a encontrarme en este rincón de Fuerteventura, volvería 100% a comer aquí.

Nuestra última noche la pasamos en Corralejo en El Patito Feo. La comida era deliciosa y el servicio excelente, recomendamos encarecidamente esta joya escondida a todos los que visiten Corralejo.

Servicio elegante y excelente para acompañar la buena comida. Una visita obligada si estás en Corralejo Fuerteventura.

¡Seríais unos charlatanes si no reservarais una mesa en El Patito Feo!

Mi pareja y yo recientemente pasamos una semana en Corralejo y tuvimos la suerte de poder reservar una mesa en The Ugly Duckling 2 semanas antes de nuestra visita; en la fecha solicitada, la disponibilidad ya era extremadamente limitada, así que reserve con anticipación en la medida de lo posible. Reservar es imprescindible, pero increíblemente fácil y cómodo a través de WhatsApp.

A nuestra llegada, Henrik fue un anfitrión fantástico que nos recibió con una copa de vino espumoso de cortesía. Elegimos sentarnos adentro para protegernos del sol, pero no hubo diferencia en el servicio: Henrik brindó a todas las mesas, por dentro y por fuera, el mismo servicio excepcional. Nada parecía ser demasiado problema.

El menú es obra de Christian, quien ha desarrollado platos de fusión europea extremadamente sabrosos con el danés como elemento central, todos bellamente presentados y elaborados con ingredientes frescos. ¡La comida aquí es realmente un placer para la vista incluso antes de tomar el tenedor!

De la carta elegimos Salmón Ahumado y Jamón Ibérico y Pera como entrantes, y Solomillo de Pato y ternera como segundos. Seguimos las sugerencias de Henrik sobre salsas y podemos recomendar de todo corazón la salsa de whisky con pato, ¡simplemente GUAU! ¿Mencioné que Christian era un genio del sabor?

Henrik hizo excelentes recomendaciones de vinos de la lista, pero nos ofreció una botella de vino de un viñedo de Tenerife, tenía una pequeña cantidad y no estaba en la lista. Nos alegra haber pedido una recomendación ya que esta botella fue excepcional tanto con la carne de res como con el pato. Henrik y Christian están claramente centrados en la mezcla de sabores y la combinación vino/comida no es una excepción.

Las porciones son de buen tamaño, pero no fuimos derrotados antes del postre: optamos por helado de vainilla y pastel de chocolate. Afortunadamente nos quedamos en el centro de Corralejo y el camino de vuelta fue igual al número de calorías consumidas, es mi excusa y la mantengo.

Durante nuestra estancia cenamos en 4 de los 10 mejores restaurantes de Corralejo. En nuestra opinión, El Patito Feo estaba muy por encima de la competencia y eso no es despreciable respecto a los demás, que también son fantásticos. ¡No podemos recomendar este lugar lo suficiente y que Henrik y Christian continúen recibiendo excelentes críticas que son muy merecidas! ¡Definitivamente reservaremos nuevamente para nuestro próximo viaje!

Year after year when we are at Corralejo we have dinner at the Ugly Duckling and year after year Henrik and Christian surprise us with great hospitality and outstanding food and services. We can’t wait till next year.

The best meal we have had on the island by a long stretch. Recommended by friends. You need to book in advance - only open Thurs Fri & Sat. We had wine, starters and main course. Couldn't fit a dessert in.

Comida absolutamente hermosa e incluso mejor servicio. Nos permitió celebrar con la comida más deliciosamente fresca con magníficas bebidas. Hendrik fue muy amable y servicial. ¡Ambiente muy elegante! Lo recomendaría absolutamente.

A lovely Restaurant with great food, its like having food with friends. Henrik was fabulous very attentive and explained the food in detail. He is a busy man as is the Chef, Service is slower than most restaurants but hell it was well worth the wait. Beef Tenderloin was one of the best I've had and my steak tartar starter was definitely the best I've tried. The wine was advised by Henrik and it was perfect (we are super fussy). Henrik cut his finger whilst we was there but carried on with positivity and happiness. What a lovely restaurant. IMO the best in Corralejo.

Año tras año cuando estamos en Corralejo cenamos en el Patito Feo y año tras año Henrik y Christian nos sorprenden con una gran hospitalidad y comida y servicios excepcionales. No podemos esperar hasta el próximo año.

Best food we've ever had, didn't realise the popularity of the place so we didn't book, Henrik managed to fit us in on one days notice.

Beef tenderloin was my partners favourite and we shared it for starters, keep in mind portions are big and this was perfect to do.

I got the salmon and I kid you not it was the best thing I've ever tasted, crisp skin and melt in your mouth middle. The potatoes wer also to die for.

My partner got the chicken and in her words "it was absolutely exquisite".

Highly recommend anyone to go here but book in advance as you may not be as lucky as we were.

Also shout out to Henrik as he is quiet possible the kindest and most welcoming man on the planet.

Need to book way ahead and when you visit you understand why. A lovely welcome with a complimentary Cava or mango juice and although slow to serve, the ambience is enjoyable and time passes quickly. I’m afraid the fillet steak was a little dry and over cooked (medium on the menu), the peppercorn sauce was very tasty.
The Danish Stew was exceptional, the meat so tender and the flavours of the gravy and carrots were fantastic. Boiled potato’s to accompany which went well.
This is a must visit for a quality dining experience but booking is essential for weeks ahead. One course for 3 with bottle of house wine (very nice Rioja) - 66 euros. Highly recommended.

All the food was delicious particularly the Danish beef stew, so rich, and the chocolate cake was divine, I'd go back just for that. The wine was also excellent, it was a really relaxed experience taking about 4 hrs great ambience in this small little gem with a fantastic view to the sea.

A truly fabulous place for a meal, well worth the wait to get a table even at an unusual time. The host was wonderful and the food superb, we had a fantastic time.

Great food, irreproachable service. Henrik is friendly, knowledgeable, helpful.and generous with his measures. Our only regret is not getting to dine here more than once. A must for all holidaymakers in Fuerteventura.

Great food and service for a amazing price. If you have the chance book and visit. Been to far more expensive restaurants and they are not in the same quality as this.

Must visit when in Corralejo. Although it's a very short taxi drive away, it's very much worth going slightly out of town. The service is fantastic, everything is done at the right pace and with the right level of interaction. The food is outstanding and really different from anywhere else you could visit on the island. Everything we've eaten here has been faultless.

Amazing evening for a birthday dinner, wonderful hosting with fab recommendations, delicious food and friendly diners. Would love to come back again and would recommend visiting - the menu and overall experience was great. Definitely book in advance!

Difficult to book - for good reason. A modern restaurant owned and run by a Danish couple. Great food, beautifully prepared and served. Free glass of CAVA to start and finish plus lovely home made Danish bread. The drinks menu includes a good choice of premium local bottled beers.

What’s not to love? A three course meal of quality for €29 and a first class Rioja to accompany. Superb ambience to make an all round excellent dining experience. You’ll only get a place here by reserving. They’ve no interest in cramming the crowds in so turned away a lot of business while we enjoyed the quietness. They seem to want an excellent service experience so that we can have an excellent dining experience!

The food was amazing & the service first class …best of all was the desert of vodka sorbet … lovely restaurant with a fantastic ambience… highly recommend

Excellent dinner, and surprisingly inexpensive for the quality of food and service. We had the tuna and mozzarella starters- lovely and fresh quality ingredients. For mains we had salmon and duck- both delicious.

The waiter was extremely attentive and friendly.

Even though it's a little out of town- it's well worth it. We took scooters to get here which were only 4€ one way and lots of fun.

Just had dinner here, amazing! Service was so attentive, food was super tasty (had the duck and the chicken) and atmosphere very relaxing. Excellent value too. Great views from the restaurant. A million miles away from any other restaurant in the area. Highly recommend a visit when in Corralejo.

Sat here as I write, wonderfully tasty food I could never replicate, what a fab find.you will not be disappointed.

We come here every time we visit Fuerteventura and its always amazing. Great service super fresh food! Make sure you book in advance as it's unlikely you'll get a walk in on the day

We have had many a lovely meal here. The food is admittedly rich. I happen to like rich food but I know those that have over-indulged due to the tempting food on offer and suffered! I like to think I have a good appetite but personally I can do 2 and a bit courses here (IE share a desert). It's by far the best restaurant in the area. The bearnaise sauce is the best I've ever had. Too many are imbalanced and either too vinegary, too buttery or too insipid. This one has everything maxed out to 11. Sublime. Great fries on the side. Lovely side dishes. Chocolate cake to die for. Henrik and Christian- thank you! We keep on coming back to Fuerteventura for many reasons and one of them is certainly The Ugly Duckling.
