I can fully recommend Las Almas. Sabine and Ulrich used to run Albergue Das Animas in Ambasmestas, where I stayed twice on my past casinos. They create a warm and welcoming atmosphere for pilgrims and I always leave feeling cared for and rested.
I felt at home as if I had visited a country house. The owners were kind and hospitable, and the dinner and breakfast were great. It was a wonderful day.
Cosy, cool & comfortable albergue, run by Sabine & Uli, a lovely retired German couple, who have made the camino the purpose of their second lives. No need for sleeping bags or liners, because beds have linen and you even get a towel. The dorm has only five beds, so make sure to reserve your space early. Uli is a very good chef who cooks a delicious pilgrims menu that changes every night. For us, though, the best part was the conversation with the two over dinner; bubbly, witty and insightful. Thanks a lot for a wonderful stay!
It’s hard to list all of the things that make Uli and Sabine’s place wonderful: the warm, comfortable bed, the delicious food, the excellent laundry services, the best breakfast I’ve eaten so far But beyond the accommodation, it’s Uli and Sabine who make this such a special stay. They welcome you into their home with laughter and care. Add it to your “must stay” list.
This hostel is a real gem. Lovely hosts, comfortable and peaceful accommodation. Be sure to have evening meal and breakfast - both are excellent, and you'll really appreciate "proper" vegetables after all those peregrino menus! Highly recommended!
In Casa Las Almas you feel like at home. The hospitality is above any expectations, home made dinner and german brekfast fuel you with energy you need on Camino. Their big heart embrace you like you are a family member. I heartly recommend Casa Las Almas. Thank you ️
We had a fantastic stay at the Casa Las Almas in Espinosa del Camino on April 14 as we walked the Camino Frances. Our hosts Sabine and Uri make you feel welcome and comfortable in their charming house just a few steps from the Camino. They can provide you with a bed, meals and laundry service. If you get the laundry service take "The Bundle, " you can save 1 Euro, a great bargain! I would highly recommend and be sure to make a reservation in advance.
Best hostel I stayed in on the first half of my Camino (writing this halfway through!) ; This restored farmhouse is a family owned gem that has thought of all the little things that make a pilgrims stay very comfortable and memorable! Thank you Sabine and Ulrich!
By far my favorite albergue I stayed at, originally I wanted to keep walking further but it would have been a mistake to skip this place. While the prices aren't higher than elsewhere, the quality is far above average. Gorgeous house, I literally felt like I was at home, especially because they only accept a few pilgrims, so it feels much more like a personal experience. They give you proper bed sheets, blanket, towels even. The hosts are very charming people and the food is beyond amazing. They had homemade bread and jam, for dinner they made delicious cream and made us feel like we were at home.
