A Taste of Home

The food was fine but the service is disappointing. I ordered and paid for a piece of gammon weighing 1.7kg but what arrived weighed only 1.17kg. I normally wouldn’t bother but at €13 per kilo there’s a quite a difference in price between what I paid for and what I got. I emailed them weeks ago but they haven’t replied. I don’t recommend this company.

Desde que se cambió el supermercado, hay una serie de notables diferencias. En cuanto a selección de productos, sigue estando bien, y los precios son también relativamente ajustados para productos de importación.
Sin embargo, creo que hay algunas cosas que no se pueden obviar. Principalmente, el hecho de que vendan productos caducados “con descuento”. Cuidado si ves una oferta… veo que han excusado esto en otras reseñas, pero es que directamente no es legal vender productos caducados.

A parte, deberían mejorar su sistema climático, ya que hay espacios donde hace mucho calor y no creo que eso sea lo mejor para los productos.

Me encantó! Precios altos pero es normal, son productos extranjeros y tienen de todos los que imagines!

I LOOOOOOVE this place. It has all the things to make you feel back at home. Whenever I am missing Ireland I go back to this shop to get some irish sausages and gravy and I feel back at home. The owner is super nice as well.

Yo empecé a ir cuando aun estaban los anteriores propietarios de Superlekker, al cambiar a Taste of home sigue habiendo un trato agradable pero han desaparecido muchos productos neerlandeses, hay bastante menos variedad y se echa en falta el poder elegir, por otro lado y ya se ha comentado en otras reseñas está el problema de las caducidades, no da buena imagen que haya tanto producto caducado, sugiero que se eliminen aquellos productos caducados y en todo caso que no ocupen tanto espacio en la tienda y que la caducidad no exceda de una semana, lo demás se tendría que suprimir, tal vez se podría volver a traer productos neerlandeses, belgas y alemanes que se dejaron de traer, y por favor el tema caducidad hay que solucionarlo, me encanta ir por vuestra tienda pero cada vez voy menos al haber desaparecido productos y por tener que estar mirando con lupa las fechas de caducidad. Muchos productos caducados, pasados de fecha hasta dos meses. Una estantería llena y como son muy generosos te los dejan al 50%. Muchísimo calor en la tienda por lo q no está caducado se estropea por la temperatura.
Todo carisimo, en fin, nada recomendable.

The prices I think we can all agree are a bit high but its clear on the reasons why. As much as I am into all things local and catalan, there are for sure products I miss from home, haggis, frozen neeps and bisto gravy granuals in particular. You have a good selection of products and I love coming down to buy a few things as a nice treat to myself. Keep it up guys.

No està gens malament. No és gaire barat i l'atenció pot semblar poc professional en alguns moments, però és una bona opció per comprar-hi quatre coses de tant en tant; ja sigui per fer una Burns Night com cal, quan t'enyores de l'Erasmus o per sorprendre algun immigrant anglès que troba a faltar les llepolies de ca' seva.

Un supermercado con tantas cosas interesante, productos ingleses, holandeses, etc. Que tenga tantos productos caducados. No solo me ha pasado una vez. No puedo entenderlo. El resto bien pero creo que es algo MUY importante, asi que si entras mira SIEMPRE las fechas.

Tienda de comida con un poco de todo de 'home' (UK principalmente). Productos que se echa de menos.

Coming to Barcelona a year ago I missed British foods, but someone said to me go to Taste of Home they have British produce and do they. They have all the products I would buy in England and yes the prices are a little high but don't blame the shop blame Brexit. I love this shop and will be coming again to buy my gravy granules, crumpets, monster munch and of course mince pies! Please never close!

Una tienda con magníficos productos y una muy buena atención al cliente. Altamente recomendable.

Por fin un sitio donde comprar comida del día a día británica a un precio razonable (considering flipping Brexit). Pan y crumpets de Warburtons, Dandelion and Burdock.que más se puede pedir? Que no cierre nunca!

Cute little place with plenty on offer. Prices are higher than I'd like but you can't compare what you pay in the UK to here as we are not in the UK.

Good Place to get UK food stuff.pity it does not have much selection.no black pudding, sausages, betty crocker coffee cake mix and icing bit it has many others.must be difficult to get selection with UK and keep price down

Una tienda de barrio con un dependiente simpático. Tienen todos los productos ingleses que puedas imaginar.

Good selection but expensive as some people say. Some things you can buy in your local supermarket at half the cost.e. G.bovril. The same for the dutch peanut butter, then sell it in lot of stores in Barcelona at half the cost.

Un supermercat aparentment petit però amb gran selecció de productes del Regne Unit. El que m'agrada més trobar-hi són els productes vegetarians de Linda McCartney, que costa trobar a altres llocs. Hi trobo a faltar però que no hi hagi més formatges d'Anglaterra. El màxim que hi ha és cheddar i d'una sola marca, quan n'hi ha moltes varietats de diferent curació fins i tot a d'altres supermercats. Estaria bé que poguessin tenir stilton i shropshire.

Really impressive selection! Only thing missing for me was some more american style candy (this is my vice!) shop seems to be locked even during open hours, and you have to buzz to be allowed in. This was not the most inviting thing, but nevertheless, I really liked the store.

Nice selection of products for Brits and Americans.of course you will pay more than back home but often worth it.

Tienda de productos ingleses de muy buena calidad, lo cual se ve reflejado en su precio (a lo que además de añade su costó de importacion). En lo personal, solo tuve un problema con unos productos de la tienda que no me los pudieron vender porque no los tenian en la base de datos.

Lots of good grocerys from different places, mostly UK and USA, good variety but some Things are quite expensive. It can be understood, because these are imported Items.

British supermarket in Barcelona full of food products from the United Kingdom, Germany, Holland & America. Also has loads of vegetarian products.

Thanks for your reply. I can understand the price being higher as its imported, but I would recommend dusting daily and also not selling any out of date products. In the UK you would be shut down for selling something out of date of course here they dont have the same regulations.

They're so lovely in a taste of home and if they don't have what you're after (unlikely but possible) they will help you out to get it. For the Australians there is vegemite and occasionally tim tams (they sell out quick apparently and although they do have penguins.it's really not the same- better to get onto the waiting list for the real deal haha). Crumpets, english muffins, english tea and loads of spices, even things like white vinegar for pickling and golden syrup for anzac biscuits. 10/10

Productos auténticos y diferentes, vale la pena la visita, seguro que picas.ya lleva unos cuantos años.

Botiga anglesa, tipus super de barri, amb tot tipus de productes. El personal et somriu i és amable.
