AC Hotel by Marriott Som

Excelente Hotel y sobre todo Excelente Hospitalidad por parte del personal del AC Hotel by Marriott Som.
Mención especial para la Sra. Laura, que nos ayuda a comprender la ciudad de Barcelona y también nos guía sobre las atracciones cercanas y hace que nuestra familia se sienta cómoda y como en casa durante nuestra estancia. Verdaderamente un embajador de la marca Marriott Bonvoy.
Las habitaciones están bien limpias y ordenadas. La decoración interior es elegante y moderna. En general muy buena estancia.

El hotel es muy nuevo y se encuentra en un barrio residencial sólido, no muy lejos del transporte rápido (autobús, taxi o metro). Está a unos 20-30 minutos del centro de la ciudad. Las habitaciones son absolutamente increíbles, teníamos 2 camas individuales y eran cómodas sin ocupar toda la habitación. El baño es muy bueno. La mejor ducha que he tenido en mucho tiempo. El único problema es la ubicación, que desafortunadamente huele a decadencia urbana/alcantarillado.por lo que el vecindario no olía muy bien y las estaciones de metro se etiquetan muy fácilmente, por lo que es una ubicación original. Está justo enfrente de la terminal principal de autobuses que va al aeropuerto, lo cual es increíblemente conveniente.

Todo muy correcto, las habitaciones amplias muy limpias y muy confortables con todos los detalles. El servicio muy bueno y la atención insuperable un 10. La ubicación depende de lo que quieras hacer en Barcelona en mi caso a 10 minutos del palau así que genial. Recomendable. Esta muy cerca de un Carrefour por si quieres hacer alguna compra. Y tiene alrededor bares para poder tomar algo fuera del hotel,

Nuestra estancia fue excepcional. Llegamos a las 10h y nos permitieron entrar en la habitación. El personal fue muy amable, todo estaba muy limpio y tranquilo. Tanto la habitación como el baño estaban en condiciones adecuadas considerando el precio. El desayuno buffet fue muy abundante. Además, hay paradas de buses y metro muy cercanas al hotel. Para nosotros, fue una estancia muy cómoda. ¡Felicidades y gracias a todos los que nos atendieron!

El servicio en el Marriott AC Hotel fue ejemplar. Desde la cálida bienvenida en el check-in hasta el personal amable y eficiente en el mostrador de conserjería, todos hicieron todo lo posible para que mi estadía fuera memorable. El personal del hotel estaba bien informado sobre el área local, y sus recomendaciones para las atracciones y restaurantes cercanos fueron acertadas. Atendieron todas las solicitudes con prontitud y con una sonrisa, haciéndome sentir valorado como huésped.

Viajo con frecuencia a Barcelona y me gusta recibir un trato próximo y agradable. Cuando conocí este hotel ya no he cambiado y siempre me alojo aquí.
La ubicación me gusta porque puedes acceder a cualquier punto de Barcelona y alrededores con mucha facilidad.
Las instalaciones podrían ser mejores, pero cumplen mis necesidades.
El desayuno es variado y de buena calidad.
El equipo humano es excelente, en recepción son agradables y el equipo del desayuno inmejorable…. Me siento como en mi casa. Gracias.

I wish I was able to give 5.5 Stars for the “Above-And-Beyond” service Marjan has provided to me during my stay. He not only was extremely polite and kind during my Check-In process but he took an 10 mins explaining how beautiful Barcelona is and got a map & highlighter to point out popular sights to see and mark each location with the METRO Train/Bus to catch. I am totally in awe and wanted not only Guests considering staying at this hotel to know the delightful treat you’re in store for but also Marriott Leadership Team to know what a Valuable Asset you have in your employee Marjan. Thanks a Million Marjan and whenever I come back to Barcelona I will definitely be staying at this AC HOTEL SOM by Marriott to continue receiving the Top-Notch Service you’ve provided.

The hotel was nice. Room was very clean. Didn't really spend much time there, but the staff were quite nice. The location is away from the center. More close to the Olympic area and Cam Nou than the typical tourist places.

Están muy bonitas las habitaciones, las almohadas muy cómodas, el único problema es que las camas son de rueditas y se mueven

Mal isolé. On entend les bruits des chambres du haut et de côté.
Téléphone qui sonne par erreur dans la chambre a 6hrs du matin.
Qualité litterie moyenne.
Je ne reviendrai plus dans cet hôtel tellement que j'ai mal dormi!

Low quality, lobby is sad, and the hotel seemed empty yet I ended up with a room next to me and a crying baby all night

Got this hotel using points, It is in the middle between airport and everything in Barcelona. Their service is slow, poor customer service, not able to upgrade the room since all the room are identical. The only difference is the bed size.
We checked in our bags, and leave to travel. After coming back, we were sent to a none cleaned room. We called the front desk, and they asked us to go down stairs and get another key card (what a great service!)

The replaced room is decent, I can open my luggage without issue; however, I can also hear the moaning from next door, Ugh.

Next day when we checked out and go out for another few hours walks; after we came back, I still saw the oil stain from yesterday morning I saw on the leather coach when checking the bags. Well I know everything is open now, but that does not mean COVID is over and no need to clean. Even that, it should not happens.

Pas de restaurant mais un room service parfait!
Je recommande cet hôtel.

Un bémol: le prix du petit-déjeuner à 16€50. Un café me suffit le matin: c'est une possibilité proposée sans avoir à payer un buffet que je n'exploite pas.
Autre bémol mais l'hôtel n'y peut rien: le square en bas de l'hôtel dans lequel la jeunesse barcelonnaise passe une bonne partie de la nuit à discuter, crier, etc. Difficile de dormir pendant ces 2 nuits: il faut peut-être demander des étages supérieurs quand on a le sommeil léger.

The lady at the front is so annoying and rude. Literally talking to guests for like 30 min taking her time. Like.get another receptionist?

We made reservations there months ahead of time on the point. Everything was fine. We received numerous confirmation emails. When arrived, tired and fatigued after travel, we were informed that Marriott canceled our reservation and asked us to pay for the stay. Well done Marriott. When we get back to the States, I will dispute this charge and get my money back.
Now about the hotel. The rooms are super small. Room service never leaves shampoo, soap, and conditioner. You need to request several times and wait for hours before they deliver. The beds were very uncomfortable. Did not think in our days you could still find spring beds that made a squeaky noise every time I turned. WiFi is so slow, my phone was constantly switching to LTE.  Breakfast costs 16.50. You can have a nicer breakfast anywhere in Barcelona for a fraction of that price. The fitness center is just a small regular room with a couple of dumbbells and a broken machine. The room is hot as hell, there is no water and no towels.
I stayed here only because I was supposed to stay on the points. Highly do not recommend this place.
However, if you already made a reservation and have to stay here, know that you can request a coffee maker and hair conditioner. They will not tell you this at the checking.

Muy buena ubicación y servicio, personal amable y barrio muy bien conectado con el aeropuerto. Lo único malo es que las habitaciones no estaban insonorizadas y la puerta del baño era semitransparente y no se podía cerrar, daba la sensación de falta de intimidad.

Nice hotel its not the fanciest among the AC collection of hotels and is more compact! The only problem for me was the size of the parking garage.its TIGHT!

If you are taking a bus from/to the airport you'll take the #46 (Gran Via - Alhanbra). You'll walk 5 minutes to the hotel. The reception can tell you how to the airport. Previously, I stayed at the AC Barcelona Forum location, nicer location.

Nice hotel. Fantastic service. Extra pillows, kettle, ice, everything was great. In a nice quiet neighbourhood with a good mall, about 30 mins to centre

I think the room is tidy and clean. They let us check in earlier than normal. The only issue was the hair dryer which keeps having some noise while using it…

Friendly and helpful staff. Great breakfast. Reasonable proximity to airport/Playa Barceloneta area (~23 EUR taxi to each), but not directly next to anything of much interest/utility.
Typical modern/smallish AC Hotel rooms, in a reasonable state of upkeep.
Key cards for room 508 were non-functional multiple times during a one night stay.

This has been a great hotel for our stay prior to a cruise. Excellent customer service, but don’t expect to get into your room too early. The staff speak English, the rooms are clean. Hotel in general is very clean and well maintained. Wi-Fi is decent, easy to connect with. Rooms are a typical size for Europe. There is a shopping mall walking distance down the street. Breakfast is a buffet style, decent and they will make some eggs how you like. Costs $16.50 Euros. My compliments to the general manager for running a great hotel and staff.

As an esteemed Platinum Member of the Marriott Bonvoy program (50+ nights/yr), I am accustomed to getting upgraded. Being an AC hotel (which I've never stayed at), this was new for me hearing they don't have upgradable rooms.

The glass elevator was pretty, and quick, but entering the room there are several things that jumped out right away.

The spring coil mattresses are very loud and sound like mattresses from the 90's, the AC Hotels chosen shampoos and body washes smell very synthetic and harsh (like what you'd imagine soaps from a futuristic post-apocalyptic era to smell like; metal and diesel fuel), but worst of all, there are no locks in the bathroom which shuts with a frosted glass door with 1 inch gaps on each side, right beside the toilet.

Nothing says privacy or comfort like having to do your business with your partner in the room, no sound isolation, mirrors everywhere, and huge gaps with the door right beside the toilet, after a long days travel and a guarantee of 'growing a tail'.

Had room service, the fajita wrap was basic but flavourful, and the Caesar salad was as expected. Both were fresh and came good temperatures in quick time.

The AC Som is listed as 4 star, but I think it's walking the thin line of being a 3.

Ha habido un lío con las tarjetas de acceso a nuestra habitación que estuvimos hasta las nubes de ir a MAIN DESK. La verdad que el Servico fue malo, pedimos cama de matrimonio, nos dio dos separadas. La puerta del baño hacía un ruido infernal que tuvimos que añadir jabón para silenciar. Un desastre. Nunca más.

The location was good in a quite area. The room and bath clean and well maintained. Breakfast and customer care was good. The GM do provide snacks with coffee/tea for hotel guests.

We opted to stay here on the night before and after our cruise and it worked out well for us. We arrived to the hotel early and they graciously held our 10 bags until our room was ready. Danny was a great host and made us feel comfortable during our stay. He provided us with WiFi code immediately. The rooms were comfortable and clean, beds comfortable and shower had great water pressure! Thanks again for accommodating our family with adjourning rooms too.

El desayuno perfecto. De todo y de muy buena calidad. Cafe Nespresso. Zumos naturales. Muy buen jamón. Nos asustaron un poco los comentarios negativos, pero está claro que han tomado nota y lo han mejorado mucho. La cama cómoda y la habitación silenciosa. Aparcamiento sencillo y gratuito el fin de semana, en las calles cercanas. Buena elección.

Great location when you planning to use airport Bus. Large dinning room with fast and friendly service. Large shopping center about 5minutes across the street.

Best Receptionist Ever!

I made some mistakes on making reservation, I ended up not being able to stay at the hotel I wanted to, and came to this hotel in the last minute.
Janira was so friendly and kind to help me fixing the problems and answered all sorts of questions.
I genuinely appreciate it.
It’s rare and precious to have people who work in hospitality truly care your needs and make efforts to solve problems for you.

Nice hotel close to center by walk next to shopping mall with a lot shop. Hotel has a good connection to the airport

Nice rooms, close to a metro stop, friendly staff. The beds were comfortable, the bathroom was nice. Everything was clean and felt safe. The rooms all had European electrical receptacles but the also have USB outlets as well. If the only thing you need to charge is your phone they are already set up for it. Would 100% stay there again.

No closets in the room. Very comfortable beds. Bathroom has a tub which for me at age 70 was impossible to get into as the tub being so high one at this age would surely fall. Ask me if I'd stay here again? No. As a travel advisor would I send clients here. Probably not.

Loved this Hotel with many full glass windows in rooms and common corridors and lifts. Very friendly and helpful checking-in staff with ice cold water and hot coffee to welcome you. Close to metro, bus stop, supermarkets, cafés and restaurants.

Muy buena atención en recepción y salón de desayuno. No ofrecen almuerzos o cena. Pero en general la atención es excelente. Hotel limpio en una buena zona. Zona tranquila y segura con un centro comercial muy cercano.

This hotel is very old and needs a remodeling bad. For that reason, I have to give it three stars. The photos on the hotel website are not reflective of the actual hotel in person. It is also about 20 minutes from the city center and since Barcelona does not have Uber, it will cost 20€ each way by cab to go most places.

I would only recommend staying here if it’s all you can afford.
