Alamo Rent A Car - Barcelona, Ramblas

NO RESERVE UN COCHE CON ALAMO. Mi experiencia fue una completa pesadilla. Teníamos planeado un viaje completo con 5 personas durante 4 días que se arruinó por completo debido a esta compañía de automóviles. Teníamos todos los documentos requeridos listos según los requisitos compartidos, pero cuando llegamos allí, comenzaron a darnos nuevas reglas que eran extremadamente inusuales y nos impedían reservar un automóvil. Se canceló todo el viaje, incluidas las reservas de hotel y otros. ¿La peor parte de todo? ¡NO SE HA DADO REEMBOLSO! Pagamos el coche, el seguro, los hoteles, todo lo demás completo. Pesadilla completa.

Primer rentacar que no me acepta que mi tarjeta de credito sea de otro pais que mi licencia, no lo tenían en sus terminos y condiciones, no me ofrecieron ninguna solucion. Claramente el cliente no les importa nada, booking me hizo un reembolso por incumplimiento de estos miserables, pero ahora me quedo sin auto. Nunca mas con ustedes Alamo ni aquí ni en ninguna parte, le diré a todos mis amigos lo malo que es su servicio. Les recomiendo tratar mejor a los clientes o van a hacerse una pésima reputación.

Me horroricé cuando leí las terribles críticas sobre este Alamo/Enterprise en Barcelona Pl. Catalunya DESPUÉS ya tenía reservado mi coche. Cuando fui a recoger mi auto, tenía muy bajas expectativas pero para mi grata sorpresa, el personal Ana fue muy agradable, eficiente y servicial. No pudo entregarme el auto que reservé por problemas de mantenimiento. En lugar de eso, me actualizó a un vehículo mejor sin cargo adicional. Cuando devolví el auto, llamé con anticipación para informarles que estaría allí un poco después de su horario de oficina. Tomás fue muy amable y me esperó. También fue muy amable, encantador y servicial. Como tuve un pequeño problema con el vehículo, que no fue culpa de ellos, me hizo un descuento en el alquiler como cortesía. Tuve una muy buena experiencia en este lugar de alquiler. Supongo que las terribles críticas estaban anticuadas y es posible que ahora tengan nueva administración y personal. ¡Sigan así, muchachos! pero este es el peor servicio que he visto. Todo el lugar estaba cerrado y el tipo había llegado 15 minutos tarde para abrir la oficina de alquiler. Tampoco tenían los coches que reservamos con meses de antelación.

Me quedaría lo más lejos posible de este lugar.
Primero intentaron decir que no teníamos reserva.
Luego, "encontraron" nuestra reserva. Pero dijo que el auto que reservamos no estaba disponible. Sin embargo, la clase de automóvil que elegimos fue el "auto misterioso" en el sitio web de Alamo, por lo que cualquier automóvil serviría.
Luego dijeron que sólo tenían autos con transmisión manual.
Pero mi esposa y yo podemos conducir manuales.
Luego dijeron: "Oh, sólo podíamos alquilar el auto con una licencia de conducir internacional".

Este no es el caso de España con una licencia de conducir estadounidense válida.

No estamos seguros de si estaban tratando de sacarnos dinero reteniendo el auto que habíamos reservado en el sitio web de Alamo. Pero la extorsión no es legal y finalmente nos marchamos. Caminé por la calle 3 cuadras y encontré otra importante empresa de alquiler de automóviles que nos alquiló un excelente vehículo durante la semana sin problemas.
¡Nunca volveremos a usar Alamo y recomendaríamos a todos que no usen esta ubicación en absoluto!

Horrible horrible compañía. Actualmente estoy lidiando con una estafa en la que me quitaron $800 de mi depósito por “kit de llantas faltante”. Nunca toqué ni saqué nada. El coche fue devuelto en perfectas condiciones. Esto es una pesadilla. Esto ya se suma a que su cotización final es más de $ 150 más alta de lo que se suponía que era según mi reserva. He conducido por todo el mundo y nunca he tratado con una empresa de alquiler de coches como ésta. Estoy temblando.

Tuvimos una gran experiencia con Ana, quien nos mostró nuestro vehículo y nos guió a través de nuestros trámites en excelente inglés. No hay quejas sobre el vehículo, servicio o precio.

Me tuve que venir sin vehiculo y heso que estaba reservada y pagada desde hacia 15 dias muy mal nos tuvimos que buscar la vida para volver a casa

Fernando y Tomás fueron geniales, muy serviciales, y el gerente también. Recomiendo encarecidamente a la tripulación aquí para alquilar.

Alquilé a través de un broker en línea un coche con ellos, recibí un coche prácticamente nuevo, me atendieron maravillosamente y mostraron gran flexibilidad con el tema del carburante.
Ainhoa fue particularmente competente, atenta y simpática.

I was a bit hesitant to book at this car rental based on the reviews I read here (I think people that have good experience simply go along their business and do not bother leaving a review, while people that have a bad experience in their opinion are more vocal about it), but due to it being last minute, the proximity, and rate I decided to give it a shot with a free cancellation booking just in case I had to take a train instead. Well I came out extremely pleasantly surprised! Our time at the location was minimal, Tomas was the person that helped us and he was very friendly, professional and it was overall I would say a quick process. I was super happy that we got a Lexus SUV that I was very pleased with and was great throughout our trip. I think total time from arrival to driving out was about 20 minutes, and they had a variety of options in my class of vehicle. I ended up getting the insurance for 17 euros a day but that was the only up sell that I chose to do. My delivery in Alicante Airport was also smooth at the Alamo/Enterprise/National location

Impresentables. Teníamos una reserva a las 9 de la mañana y tuvimos que esperar hasta las 13: 00 para coger el coche. 3 horas esperando y medio día perdido. 0 solución

They are disgusting!

We arrived, they kept us waiting for a vehicle for 3 hours because first they wanted to take us to Girona to pick it up and then it turned out that an option appeared in Sants. The delivery of the car was disappointing, without checking it or anything.

When we returned it in Madrid, they invented that we had broken a rear lamp in the van, and the guy who received the car told us that it would cost approximately €60.

They charged my card €285!

ALAMO, YOU ARE NEFASTIC AND OPPOTUNISTIC!

Anyone reading this review, PLEASE consider renting elsewhere. The customer service here is horrible. Please don't disregard this. We went through a terrible experience. Waited hours for a vehicle, employees do not care how long you've waited for or what time your pickup time is. Please consider renting from a different company or even a local one. Pay a little more elsewhere but you will get better service. You will not regret it.

Very unfriendly staff always trying to find reasons to get more money or not rent you the car entirely

ALAMO, Pilantras, safados, oportunistas, ladrões, não tem a menor consideração com o cliente. Não aluguem, nem que tenham que ir a pé viajar, só vai ter problema pois se tudo estiver certo, eles arranjam uma forma de ESTORQUIR o cliente. São um bando e uma quadrilha mal intensionada de oportunistas que praticam o pior serviço nesse ramo de negócio.

The worst service ever!
Never ever reserve a car here. You arrive a few minutes late and they tell you that you missed your reservation and that they don’t have you car anymore. 5 min late and on the way in there were no cars leaving… that tells you that they didn’t have your car ready to begin with and start blaming it all on you!
Their agents are the rudest! If I could leave them a negative review I certainly would! The worst! Then we made a new reservation literally right there. It let us do it through the website, and they said we will need 2 hrs to prepare your car and an hour later it turned out to be that they might not even have it till the evening! Left and went to a different company! Don’t do business here you will regret!

La personne qui nous a reçu n'était pas forcément désagrable mais elle faisait tout pour nous faire payer des options supplémentaires. Je loue des voitures avec Enterprise depuis des années, et c'est l'une des premières fois où je sens qu'ils essayent de m'arnaquer:
-parking: 15€ pour rendre la voiture en dehors des horaires d'ouvertures.ce tarif n'était pas indiqué dans la réservation, en insistant un peu elle a finit par lâcher l'affaire.
-assurances: bien que j'avais déjà souscrit toutes les assurances nécessaires, elle nous faisait croire que nous n'étions pas totalement assurés. Bref, encore une option à faire payer à ses clients.

De manière générale, j'ai trouvé cet endroit peu fiable et ce type de filiales ternit beaucoup l'image de Enterprise.

The car pick up was fast and the car was well cleaned. When I dropped off the car, staff was there to check it and it didn't take long. Overall, it was an excellent service.

Please, please, please, stay away from this place. We rented 3 months in advance and when we showed up at this location for picking up the car, they tried everything to not give us a car. First, they said there is no automatic car available as we booked for and that if we could wait for few more hours. We agreed and then they tried a different trick, complaining that we were late with 2 hours. We were not late, it was just a long line as it was very, very slow. We insisted that we were in time, than they invented a new trick, that we do not have an international driving license. We have Canadian driver license and we showed them that it is clearly specified in the booking letter that you need an international driver license only if it is in a non Roman alphabet. Well, Canadian driver licence is written in English and French, not only that they both use Roman alphabet but they are European languages as well. Bottom line, we did not get a car. They were very rude, they did not even apologize and didn’t offer us any alternative. Our 3 weeks of vacation and bookings were based on this car, So you can imagine. Please, please, please, if you don’t want to risk the same experience, stay away from this location. Also to me never Alamo again.

Its underground and through a small lane inbetween two big buildings with one of them being the hard rock cafe. The service is quick and excellent. Staff were friendly and were able to get our car and on the road very quickly. Recommend reserving ahead of time for a smooth experience.

Outstanding minivan (SEAT Alhambra). Drove it for 1,600 km in Spain, no problems, very comfortable for 4 people and suitcases. Very satisfied with Enterprise, we will rent again with them in EU.

We had a small car booked to pick up here. It wasn't available when we arrived at the booked time, but the manager offered us a van that was ready to go, or we could get a car from the sants station branch. We didn't really want a bigger car for gas and ease of driving reasons, so the manager drove us to the Sants station and got us a car there, as well as providing a large discount on our rental cost for the inconvenience.

Ideally the car would be ready as booked of course, but it was very nice service to get us what we needed and provide a discount on the car.

Worst customer service ever. We were refused a car based on a technicality to do with my girlfriends credit card which we have used before at a different branch and we were naturally very upset. When my girlfriend tried to get the name of the person serving us, she refused to give her full name and then refused to give us a car even when we had offered an alternative solution. She said she was “offended, ” well we were offended by the awful service. When we left the office, we could here her laughing with the cleaner. Go to a different branch, don’t bother with this one. Enterprise and the other car rental companies may as well shut it down if they people like that working for them.

Lamentable experiencia alquilando una furgoneta para diversos usos durante 3 semanas el pasado mes de agosto.

Cuando llegamos a recogerla, no tenían la furgoneta que habíamos reservado y pagado un mes antes. Después de más de 1 hora de espera pudimos recibir una que por suerte otro cliente acababa de entregar. Pero sólo acababa de empezar la odisea con Enterprise ya que tuvimos que cambiar la furgoneta hasta 2 veces por diversos fallos mecánicos, teniendo que visitar oficinas y talleres, perdiendo tiempo y dinero. Sus vehículos se caen a cachos y encima intentan que pagues tú por daños que la furgoneta ya tenía cuando fue entregada por no hacer la revisión en condiciones (en mi caso una quemada de cigarro en el asiento). Por suerte hice fotos de todos los daños que vi al cogerla. La atención por parte de sus agentes generalmente ha sido mala, exceptuando algún caso puntual, tanto por teléfono como de forma física. La atención telefónica, imposible, muy complicado contactar y cuando al fin lo consigues no te ayudan en nada, dejándome varios días colgada en mitad de un viaje de trabajo con una furgoneta inservible y sin darme ninguna solución. Finalmente me compensaron devolviendo parte del dinero que pagué por el alquiler, al menos. Pero ahora, 10 días después de haber entregado la furgoneta, me llega un cargo de Enterprise de la oficina de Mahón (Menorca), lugar que no he visitado en mi vida. Parece que quieren cobrarse lo que me devolvieron, así que lo próximo que haré será poner una denuncia.

No alquiles con esta empresa, no tienen seriedad, ni puntualidad y conducir sus vehículos es un riesgo. Además intentarán robarte si pueden. Una total estafa.

We were given a brand new automatic with all the techy gadgets. Friendly staff and very flexible with returning car out of office hours

Reserved a car, automatic, they called less than 12 hours, 730pm to cancel my reservation with no resolution not giving enough time to find another rental. I missed out on my out of town trip, me being on vacation and having already paid for my hotel I had to forfeit that payment. Terrible customer service, no offer to find me another option, I would never recommend to this company.

Rules on website and rules in real life totally different, stay away from them, female, staff member rude and useless, never again

Stay away from that ENTERPRISE location! Paid for diesel car when I made reservation, but they refuse on the spot.
Made up some extra FEE that I refuse to pay and they charged me anyway without my signature!
Got my money back thanks to American Express card service! My advice is to pay with credit card so you can get your money back from the hidden fees!

Enterprise at this location, has nothing to do with the service Enterprise usually provides! Nasty personnel there. Avoid at all cost!
