This school is a very nice school with great education and great campus, the only thing that ASB has to fix is that many people are mean and disrespectful, but if you moved to Barcelona this is top 1.

Our child has been at ASB for almost 8 years now, and we’ve seen the school improve greatly over that time. ASB is a REAL international school (unlike some other 'international' schools in Barcelona) and has by far the best facilities and campus in Barcelona. They also have an extensive extra-curricular program covering sports, art, drama, music, crafts,
But most importantly are the dedicated faculty members. They’re always available to help if kids need something extra, and the classes are small enough that teachers get to know each student really well.

This school did not accept our son with minor learning speech impediment and a history of chronic health issue. We are looking to relocate to Barcelona and we wanted to send our two sons to this school. They are both American citizens and have been going to school in the states until now. They told us that they had spots available and they were very interested at the beginning. After hearing our story they changed their mind and they said they could not offer us a spot because it was more than they could handle.
During the application process the school asked for medical and medicine records (not immunizations!), previous required school support and progress reports. One of my kids has a medical chronic condition that does not affect his learning and he does not need any major support. The younger has a minor speech impediment and his teachers have repeatedly said it is nothing to be concerned about. It is typical in the US to provide support for minor learning difficulties in public schools, so that is why they had a report mentioning these points.
His current teacher said she was shocked about the ASB school decision.
I understand it is a private school and they can freely reject anyone, but I would hope private entities also stand for basic ethics and diversity and inclusions principles, especially when they have a name that seems to represent a country as the US.
It is also interesting that one of the most expensive schools in Barcelona is not willing to give an opportunity to kids with minor learning challenges or chronic health condition.
I wanted to write this review so other parents that take their kids to this school or potential new students realize how other kids are treated and hopefully demand change. We are not building strong kids and community by separating them from others that are less privileged.

When you travel form Boston to Barcelona with three kids, you look for the best school to make their transition smoothly. Glad we chose ASB! Best teachers ever who helped my kids to adapt and who understand that sometimes is not easy for them, best administration who always are willing to help you, best campus where kids can be kids and best community with great families and different cultures. We cannot be prouder to be part of the ASB Community, happy kids happy parents!

After a worldwide search, my family moved to Barcelona from NYC in 2014 and could not have been luckier to land at ASB. Our kids are thriving and have so many opportunities to challenge themselves both in and out of the classroom. The entire school has a culture of continuous improvement and we have seen tremendous growth (new ES building, new MS/Gym/Auditorium building, increased focus on the arts, sports, science, and math are just a few examples) in a short period of time. We are so grateful to be a part of the ASB community. Go Lynx!

We were hoping to have our sons (4 and 6 years old) attend this school but even thought there were spots available early this year, they did not go through the acceptance process because according to the school they did not have enough resources to support them. The reason is that one of my sons has a small speech impediment and the other one a chronic health condition that does not impact his learning. I give them one star because I wish they were more open to accept a more diverse group of students.

I would give 5 * for educational standard, but 1* for school meals. Please hire a good chef and create dissent menu for kids! Please improve school lunch!
