Disfrutamos de la experiencia de clase de cocina más maravillosa y divertida con Juan en nuestro reciente viaje a Barcelona. Fue una gran oportunidad para aprender más sobre el mercado y los productos locales antes de regresar para preparar y cocinar algunos platos deliciosos acompañados con vino local. ¡Estamos ansiosos por intentar recrear algunos en casa! Altamente recomendado.

Mi marido y yo participamos en la visita al mercado y en la clase de cocina de Barcelona Cooking la semana pasada. Lo disfrutamos mucho, tanto el mercado como la clase. Nuestro instructor Juan estaba muy bien informado sobre los platos clásicos que preparamos y, además, es un instructor talentoso que demostró técnicas y luego nos permitió hacer el trabajo. Había otras tres parejas en la clase, con una amplia experiencia en la cocina. Juan nos incluyó a todos en la preparación de la comida y la conversación. Mi alergia a los mariscos fue atendida gentilmente para que no me perdiera nada durante la clase y la comida. La comida era deliciosa; Estamos deseando volver a probar las recetas en casa. Recomiendo encarecidamente Barcelona Cooking y estaría encantado de tomar otra clase con ellos la próxima vez que visite Barcelona.

Organicé una actividad team building con Cooking Barcelona. Fue una experiencia increíble de principio a fin, y todos nos lo pasamos muy bien.

La comida que preparamos estaba deliciosa (que voy a decir ), la verdad que no podríamos estar más contentos! Y todo gracias a la guía experta de Juan. Su atención y amabilidad fueron excepcionales, y su habilidad para comunicarse tanto en español cómo en inglés hizo que todos nos sintiéramos incluidos y cómodos.

Agradecer a Juan el trato que nos dio, no sólo de mi parte, sino que de todos mis compañeros, ya que sin el, la experiencia no hubiera sido tan buena.

La actividad superó todas nuestras expectativas.

Nos lo pasamos genial en esta clase. La visita al mercado fue increíble y pudimos comprender la historia del mercado y explorar las diferentes zonas. Luego regresamos al salón de clases y tuvimos una experiencia culinaria muy práctica con una explicación detallada de cada paso. Pudimos hacer sopa de calabaza, tortilla española, pan con tomate, paella de mariscos y un increíble pudín de crema catalana. Hemos asistido a muchas clases de cocina y esta es, con diferencia, la mejor. Altamente recomendado y se lo contaremos a todos nuestros amigos.

A pesar de la cancelación de una reserva grupal que significaba que yo era la única persona en la clase, todo salió según lo planeado. Renata es una excelente maestra; la pasé muy bien. Se lo recomiendo a cualquiera que quiera aprender sobre la comida y la cultura de esta gran ciudad.

¡Barcelona Cooking fue un recuerdo de viaje que queremos reproducir y revivir una y otra vez! Adoramos los valores de Barcelona Cooking; productos frescos del mercado, apoyo a los agricultores/familias locales y cocina limpia y auténtica. Con requisitos dietéticos preexistentes, el chef de Barcelona Cooking se encargó de aceptar mi desafío dietético y personalizar la experiencia para que sintiera una experiencia culinaria igualmente inclusiva, ¡tal vez incluso un poco mimada! Gracias al equipo por una experiencia divertida, agradable y memorable. Cada plato y gota de vino bailaban en nuestras lenguas y eran saboreados. Decir que adoramos, amamos y atesoramos la experiencia de Barcelona Cooking no es adecuado. ¡Juan fue un gran maestro y un hábil chef! ¡El viaje al mercado fue a la vez esclarecedor y divertido! Nos lo pasamos de maravilla en una cocina espaciosa y moderna con una gran vista de La Rambla.

Nos lo pasamos muy bien tomando nuestra clase. ¡Juan estaba bien informado y era tan amable que casi no queríamos irnos! La comida estuvo deliciosa y las instrucciones fueron sencillas: hemos estado preparando pan con tomate todos los días desde que llegamos a casa. Saber preparar tus platos favoritos es el mejor souvenir.

Hemos comido una paella excelente y esta es, con diferencia, una de nuestras favoritas, ¡y la preparamos! El chef Candido, muy informado, hace que todo sea fácil de seguir y hace que la experiencia sea divertida. ¡Definitivamente recomendaría esto a todos! ¡Este fue fácilmente uno de los mejores momentos de nuestro viaje! Barcelona Cooking fue muy recomendable y se lo merecen! ¡5 estrellas desde ingredientes de marketing hasta degustaciones comunitarias! (Y vino rebosante, para la lunricación social)

Juan nos hizo sentir como su “familia” como nos llamaba, guiándonos por el mercado y compartiendo sus conocimientos. Es un buen chef y comparte sus consejos y trucos. ¡La clase de cocina fue el momento MÁS agradable que pasamos en Barcelona! Mi novio tiene alergia a los mariscos e hizo todo lo posible para solucionarlo. ¡¡¡Esta es LA clase que TIENES que tomar!

Gran lugar, personal encantador. ¡Y por supuesto buena comida! Definitivamente 5 estrellas.

A lovely experience, we strolled through the market, we returned to cooking, we learned a lot, everything is clean and tidy, pleasant and nice fun, we will really remember it well, we are happy that we found the wonderful place with the wonderful guide

What a fabulous experience! Renata was such a delight as the head chef. The market experience was wonderful. Learned so much about the food of Catalonia.

The actual cooking portion was a blast. She engaged every person in the process and made everyone feel a part of the team.

On top of everything.the seafood paella and the whole experience was the best we had in Barcelona during our 6 day stay.

We had a wonderful experience with Renata! The cooking class we opted for includes going to La Boqueria to choose fresh ingredients for the meal you will cook. Attendees are also welcome to make their own purchases while at the market—we enjoyed some freshly prepared juice and a sample of Iberian ham. The cooking class is family style with all attendees working together to prepare a communal 3-course meal. Renata is a great teacher and very attentive to any and all cooking questions. She was very kind and knowledgeable about the food and where it is sourced from in Spain, and her instructions were clear-cut and easy to follow. The atmosphere was relaxed and cozy, and it was easy to explain our dietary restrictions and have them respected. Highly recommend this experience!

Chef Juan was phenomenal, fantastic and very informative. This was the best meal out of all the incredible meals we've had all week. Wonderful presentation, taste, friendly atmosphere. Definitely go.

This cooking class was excellent. It was intimate and a lot of fun, everything was tasty and it is in a great location - easy to find. Would recommend!

I believe that even being from Barcelona, one has so much to discover. I went hand in hand with Juan, alias "Fabulous Juan" who revealed to me some of the secret and most emblematic corners of the Boquería, to buy the seasonal ingredients to end up making a gazpacho, a paella, a potato omelette with onion and a creme brule along with a group of extraordinary people. Needles to say we had an unforgettable morning!

This place was great. Juan was awesome. We had a lot of fun. He told me that I made the best paiella he’s seen in over 1000 classes.

Wow, so much fun. Juan - a beautiful man - took the fear out of making truly authentic tapas.and did it so simply. After introducing us to the secrets within the Mercado de La Boqueria, he artfully guided us (6) into turning a handful of simple - but best quality - everyday ingredients into a masterchef array of gobsmackingly tasty dishes. We ate out every lunch and dinner during our stay in Barcelona, but the best meal we had, by a country mile, was the one in Juan's kitchen.

Juan was absolutely amazing. Felt like we known him for 20 years. If I could leave 200 stars I would!

Juan was AMAZING! An interesting and fun tour of the market and then a cooking class upstairs, just off La Rambla, with music, wine and delicious food. Can't think of a better way to taste a bit of local culture! A great learning experience as well. Highly recommend as a way to experience Barcelona.

Juan was fantastic and the Tapas and wine was delicious. Met an amazing small group and really enjoyed the evening making new friends.

We had a fantastic day cooking with Juan. I’ve never experienced a cooking course before, so was unsure what to expect. Juan gave us a tour of Mercat de la Boqueria, where we picked up some ingredients for our day, then back to his kitchen on Las Ramblas to start our feast. We each had our turn at preparing and cooking an outstanding 4 course meal - tomato bread, the best Spanish omelette I have ever eaten, soup, paella and crème brûlée. Juan was patient and kind, sharing his personal story and ensuring each of us knew what to do. The whole day was great, from learning new recipes, about ingredients and preparation, to sitting with our friendly group to tuck into our food. A fantastic experience, I couldn’t recommend the day more, and kudos to Juan for being the perfect host. 5 star experience - thank you we will be back! Kate & Christian x

Class was a lot of fun and the food very tasty. Juan did a fantastic job, we definitely want to cook with him again!

Juan made the entire evening so much fun! I learned how to make delicious food and got to eat all of it! Wine was excellent too!

Starting with a shopping tour of Barcelonas oldest fresh market, the experience was both educational and entertaining. I could have spent HOURS (and a significant sum) in the market. There are some touristy candies at the entrance but there are farm sourced offerings as well as seafood (live) and butcher offerings, fresh vegetables, and peppers/spices.

Then came the kitchen introduction, fresh ingredients portioned with knife usage suggestions, safety, and local references. We prepared four courses of our own meal while being reminded, guided, and regaled. The recipes, complimentary pairings, along with seasoning and time management suggestions were invaluable.

It would be very difficult for any other chef to be more considerate, receptive, inciteful, or entertaining than Juan was. Truly a relaxed, entertaining, and educational experience! It was worth every penny and moment!

Renata was delightful, personable and knowledgeable. The class was very enjoyable and exceeded all expectations. Best money I spent all vacation!

La ubicación es inmejorable en el corazón de las ramblas y el local esta muy bien montado. La cocina es muy agradable y funcional. Fantastic evening! Chef Juan was delightful. He called us "family, " gave us some great cooking tips, and make the whole night so much fun. Our three children (ages 5,8, and 11) loved it as did we! The food was delicious. Registration, communication, and follow-up were all A+. Highly recommend!

Great class! We did this as a couple was able to enjoy a 4 course meal with wine (few glasses). Juan was a great instructor let everyone get involved through the course of the night. Very happy with the how we led the class. In our opinion, this class was a bit over priced by about 10 euros compared to other higher reviewed places.

One of the highlights of our trip in Barcelona! We took the Paella and Boqueria tour with Juan, which was amazing! We really enjoyed exploring the market where Juan shared some interesting details. Everyone got to participate in the cooking process which was very fun. The food was excellent and even tastier knowing we prepared it together.

We’ve just done one of the best team buildings here at Barcelona Cooking. The experience is great thanks to a great chef Juan who thought us the secrets of some of the most popular dishes in Spain. We simply had a great evening and would recommend anyone to try this!

Excellent experience, we were hosted by Renata who gave us an informative tour of the Bouqueria before teaching us to prepare and cook 5 Tapas dishes. Renata was the perfect host and we loved cooking and tasting our dishes and also enjoyed a few glasses of wine too. We would highly recommend Barcelona Cooking

One of the most wonderful experiences we had in Barcelona. Juan was funny and friendly and made the whole experience feel like we were cooking at home with family and friends. They also sent the recipes to us before we had even left Barcelona so we can make these meals when we return home.

Très belle expérience à Barcelone, je recommande vivement cette activité pour ceux qui veulent visiter le marche de la Boqueria avec un expert et passer un bon moment à cuisiner des spécialités espagnoles en groupe dans une belle atmosphère. La visite du marché est très intéressante, on y goute plusieurs bons produits locaux, c'est un plaisir pour les papilles et pour les yeux! Nous avons cuisiné de bon plats, très généreux, les recettes étaient simples mais délicieuses. La cuisine très propre et conviviale, je remercie particulièrement Candido pour sa pédagogie, son sens de l'humour et sa gentillesse.

What a great time. The market is incredible and it was a ton of fun to learn some things about the foods in the market. The menu was delicious. We had strawberry gazpacho instead of traditional and it was great. I’ll definitely make it. Good to learn a little about cooking with different kinds of olive oil. Loved the whole menu! The chef was so much fun!

Took a cooking class at Barcelona cooking and was promised recipes I wanted to make the dishes for my family but was unable. I checked my spam folder and nothing. Spoke to someone in management and they told me they would send it to me and that was two weeks ago. I am very disappointed in the follow up. Love the class but what good is it if you can’t make the dishes at home. Would not recommend Barcelona cooking if you want recipes don’t waste your time it’s not worth it

What a lovely experience.
Yesterday, we had the chance to take a cooking class with Barcelona Cooking, and from someone living here, I can tell you, the experience is great.
The chef is a real pro and very open to teaching you and helping you learn Spanish cuisine. All the ingredients were super fresh and the final result was great.
Most importantly, in these times, the cleaning measures were perfect, he made sure we had a enjoyable and safe experience. If you get the chance to visit Barcelona or if you live here and you want to have a one of a kind cooking experience, don't think twice. This is your place

If you love food then you'll love this experience! A great way to spend a few hours. The day starts with a walk through Boqueria market to pick up the fresh ingredients that you'll use for the cooking. You then go back to the kitchen to prepare and cook your four-course lunch. On the day we went, we made Tortilla Espanola with Pan con Tomate, Crema de Calabaza, Paella de Marisco and Crema Catalana. A perfect way to spend some quality time with the family!

Whenever I travel, I try to fit in a cooking class from that country. The traditional Spanish food we prepared in the Barcelona Cooking class was not only delicious, but I learned new preparation tips that will be useful for any type of recipe. And you get a copy of all the recipes you prepare to share with friends when you get home.

This experience was awesome! It’s much more than a paella cooking class. You can learn about other traditional Spanish dishes, learn about their culture from a true local Spaniard all while enjoying good food and company. I highly recommend this class as it was one of the highlights of our trip!

We traveled through 6 countries in Europe on our trip and this was by far the most fun and enjoyable activity that we did. I would highly recommend. Chef Ros was so kind and helpful, not to mention an amazing chef. I would also highly recommend the market tour that they offer on the weekends. We were able to see the market, same olives, buy chocolates, and eat oysters. We worked at stations in the kitchen and she taught us how to do everything. It was truly a great time! Plus free wine:)

We had a wonderful time on 9/17/18. Our chef, Rose, was a great teacher. She had a great command of the English language and a good sense of humor as well. All of us got to make different parts of each recipe and it all tasted delicious when we sat down to eat our meal. This was a great addition to our Barcelona portion of our trip to Spain and I enthusiastically recommend Barcelona Cooking!

Simply one of the best cooking classes I have taken! Perfect for all levels of skill and super enjoyable. You learn about Spainish food and what makes it so great. You also get to learn the essentials skills to preparing these classic dishes. The chef is so friendly, funny, and entertaining that you really enjoy every element of this culinary experience! Highly recommend for anyone as it was one of the highlights of our trip.

Wonderful class! The food was great, the instructor was awesome, and the kitchen was gorgeous. We learned a lot about local food and cooking skills. Would absolutely recommend to anyone traveling to Barcelona!

Really enjoyed the Tapas cooking class with Chef Lalo. He provided good advice and tips on how to achieve the best flavor in the dish. We did the cooking under his guidance. It was a fun and informative time starting with the trip to the market to select ingredients. Lalo also shared some history of the area. Returning to take his paella class tomorrow. 5 Barcelona Cooking!

A great experience. Stefan was very organised, we all learnt new things about cooking and food was delicious. There was plenty of wine to go with meal and the attention to hygiene was very professional. Would definitely recommend this course.

I took the paella class and the Christmas class with Chef Lalo. Each class was well though out and every one got the participate in the cooking. The dishes we prepared tasted quite good and it was a fun experience. I would do it again.

A great experience for anyone visiting Barcelona and even for residents. Chef took us around the stalls of the Boqueria market where we learnt heaps about local and nationally produced foods. We also picked up some interesting Barcelona history on the way. The prepping and cooking was great fun, met some lovely people and enjoyed eating it all after (not to mention the wine that was also flowing throughout the session!).

Absolutely loved our day with chef Lalo learning about Catalan cuisine. From our walk around the market and communal prep of ingredients and our shared duties cooking 4 dishes, it was a treat to meet and share the adventure with others. My only complaint would be that I wasn't given the option to pay in euros with my credit card, as it adds 5% of exchange fees to the bill which could have been avoided if I'd been asked.

What an amazing experience! On our recent visit to Barcelona a group of 8 of my closest friends signed up for the Tapas and Market Tour class which was such a treat. From the time of booking the staff was attentive and helped answer any and all questions. When we arrived and met our Chef, Candito, I instantly knew we made the right choice. Candito lead us on a wonderful and informative tour of the market giving up tips on which vendors were local and where spending a little extra on ingredients would be well worth the investment. I could have spent four hours just wondering around the market!

After the market tour we went back to the kitchen and prep station where we broke into groups to tackle each of the tapas on the menu. There was lots to do and everyone felt engaged and contributed to the end meal. We loved learning about the regional cooking styles and recipes that we could bring back to our kitchens at home.

The end meal was delicious and pairing it with wine and conversations with friends was one of our favorite parts of our two week long trip. Admittedly, our group loves to cook and loves food but feel this would make an excellent addition to any trip. We were glad that we choose to do this activity at the beginning of our trip so we could go back to the market and cook with local ingredients and techniques for the remainder of our trip.
