Bistro 42

Para empezar, el camarero que nos atendió fue muy antipático y no respetó las normas de higiene: dedos en vasos, dedos en cubiertos, ningún cuidado. Pedimos la Francesinha, un plato al que estoy muy acostumbrado ya que soy de Oporto, la ciudad de donde es originario el plato. El relleno de la francesinha era bueno, la carne y las salchichas tenían buen sabor pero la salsa no era comestible. Tenía un fuerte sabor a alcohol y una textura harinosa, no le recomendaría esta Francesinha ni a mi peor enemigo.

Mi humilde opinión, si te gusta un buen corte y vienes por eso, no es el lugar, pedimos picaña, que en mi opinión nunca falla y la encontramos un poco seca y dura, tal vez unos mejores cuchillos ayudarían, sin embargo por el precio que es bastante razonable diría que es una buena comida si te deseas ahorrar unos euritos. Si se lo recomendaría a un amigo, la realidad es que no.

I recommend this place to everyone who likes places with good food, fantastic service and the atmosphere of a real bar with traditions. Very nice people, they will always advise you what to eat - feel real professionalism. I highly recommend. Hello from Polonia ;)

I was a regular customer and had already gone several times to see Portuguese football game. The last time I was there, one of the employees I suppose he is the owner, spoke very badly to me and my friends for the second time. Now I'm sure we'll never go back.

Siempre vamos allí cuando queremos comer entraña, la mejor sin duda. Las coxinhas y las burguers son deliciosas también. Uno de nuestros bares favoritos. Ah, y siempre hay fútbol en la TV.

Best picaña in town! The quality for the price is amazing. I have been many times and it never disappoints.

Hidden little gem in Barceloneta!
Just a small walk from the metro station of barcelona. The restaurant has limited places to sit, so it is better to come a bit earlier.
The food was really good and reasonably priced! We choose to have different tapas and all were very good!
All the tapas were very good, but the meat tapas (entrana and picana) suprised me the most. These very very delicious for the price that they are offered. I think from all the tapas restaurants in Barcelona we tried this was by far the best (and also the cheapest).
The owner and his wife were also very friendly and you really see that they enjoy having a restaurant and cooking for people.

Always friendly, always welcoming and constantly devoted to go further than the expectations of each person…. That seems to be the reason why so many people comes back to the very place where they enjoyed their food and their time and as said was the “quality- price range” one of the factors (That means a lot!)
In that spirit, and under the understanding of the reality, this comment (obviously a personal issue, not the commercial point- who in all fairness is being wrongfully rated) shouldn’t be taken in consideration and if justice can exist for a bit disregarded totally.

In the last 2 photos, the law observed in Catalunya, concerning the alcohol consumption by under 18 years of age and obviously the age limit allowed, either for consumption or administration of it (selling. Which obviously, incurs in a crime by a comercial point.)

Since the “maturity” of each gentleman wasn’t apparent, ID’s were asked to confirm the legal age, after an order for alcohol…
Luckily the establishment was mindful enough, to uphold the law and be an active participant in the public health endeavours.

The second “complaint” does make sense in certain cultures but it is of equal importance to respect the costumes and ways of the visited countries, not to bring ours and our ways to force others into different ways…
Upon asked to be charged individually and informed about the best way to do it (not an obliged practice by law, but instead at the discretion of each establishment), the young gentlemen did so and left in a friendly fashion without at any point manifesting any type of unhappiness or verbally manifested so…

For these reasons, this comment (beyond the bad faith involved) should be disregarded, since the complaints are unrealistic and based on a personal issue (where miscommunication was the key factor) and not directly aimed at the establishment (the one being rated).

En el bistro 42 se como la mejor carne (picanha) de Barcelona. Él precio es muy asequible y el personal muy agradable. Súper recomendado!

Close to barceloneta beach this small bar has some great Brazilian and Portuguese food at a really good price, drinks are good and the staff are warm and friendly, deffently worth a visit to fill up your belly!

Kleines, authentisches Restaurant. Das Essen hier war sehr lecker und trotzdem preiswert. Die Portion war ordentlich und auch die Bedienung war freundlich und man hat das Gefühl, dass sich hier alle Gäste gegenseitig kennen. Man kann hier außerdem auch Fußball schauen.

Como o feijão é feito com carne e *somente* assim? Quem quer comer feijão quer sentir gosto de FEIJÃO BEM TEMPERADO e não carne. Sou vegana e meus amigos foram comer aí e eu não posso, pois vcs sequem pensaram em opções para vegetarianos/veganos. Fica a minha sugestão: deveriam pensar em opções vegetarianas, pois perderam uma cliente. Fico no aguardo de melhorias.

Acá comiste una carne a punto deliciosa junto a un arroz con porotos negros. Estuvo delicioso y debes volver a repetir la experiencia.

Apesar de estarmos em Espanha, podemos beber uma sagres ou uma super bock e aproveitar uma bela esplanada em Barcoloneta, alem de petiscos muito bons.

Restaurante pequeño y acogedor. Platos típicos de cocina portuguesa caseros y de raciones generosas. Buena relación calidad precio. Especial recomendación el bacalao as bras!

This little spot in Barceloneta a amazing area of Barcelona. The food sounds simple but simply delicious. Nice beef and very kind staff as well the price is very good too.

When you enter the place doesn't show it's potential but trust me, best Bacalhau a Braz and Arroz de Pato I had in a while! Small but very cosy, staff super nice and excellent value for money.

Raciones muy justas. Pone ración de alitas pollo por dentro estaban congeladas. El camarero se lleva la ración y trae la mitad de la ración. Se le dice y hace como si no pasara nada.no nos a gustado diversos detalles de la atención tenida. Por su puesto no volveremos.no recomendable.
