Montserrat es un lugar hermoso, hicimos una corta caminata con una gran vista y la bodega y la cata de vinos fueron pura diversión.

Tenía un gran día. Anays fue excepcional. Tuvimos un día agradable, claro y acogedor. Todo el recorrido estuvo bien planificado y organizado.

Tiny e Ivan hicieron el recorrido por el castillo. Fueron increíbles, pacientes y conocedores. El mercado de agricultores: queso, miel, tarta de queso, eran excelentes. Marianna fue una excelente guía turística. El almuerzo en la bodega estuvo delicioso. El vino fue exquisito. El lugar parece una postal. Tienen un perro cerca, super amable. Mi esposa y yo tuvimos una experiencia de recorrido divertida e informativa. Fue muy divertido estar con nuestro gremio MJ, explicó sobre la historia del lugar. Tuvimos un evento de cata de vinos lleno de diversión y diversión. Conocemos la historia del viñedo y las variedades de uva que intervienen en la elaboración de los vinos que probamos.

¡Este fue un gran recorrido con un excelente guía turístico! El viaje hasta la montaña fue informativo y entretenido. Montserrat estaba impresionante. Los vendedores que vendían queso y miel eran amables y dulces. Me emocionó encontrar productos hechos a mano en la tienda de regalos.
¡Gus fue un guía turístico increíble! Compartió mucha historia e información durante todo el recorrido y respondió todas nuestras preguntas. También tuvo excelentes recomendaciones de aceite de oliva y chocolate en la tienda de regalos. Claramente siente un gran apasionamiento por Montserrat y se nota cuando comparte información sobre la gira.

Nuestro recorrido por Montserrat, junto con una deliciosa cata de vinos, fue extraordinario gracias a la increíble Susana. Desde su cálida bienvenida en el autobús hasta sus perspicaces comentarios durante el ascenso, el conocimiento y el sentido del humor de Susana establecieron el tono perfecto.

La visita a la Abadía de Montserrat, guiada por la experiencia de Susana, fue lo más destacado. Su capacidad para combinar historia y anécdotas dio vida al sitio.

Anthony estaba increíblemente bien informado y era acogedor y felizmente satisfizo nuestra curiosidad por el vino y el arte. Estaría encantado de asistir a una gira con él nuevamente.

Tuvimos a MJ como nuestro guía. Ella estaba muy bien informada sobre el Monasterio. Tan pronto como llegamos a Montserrat, llevó al grupo al lugar más pintoresco para tomar fotografías antes de visitar el Monasterio. Después de la visita, tuvimos mucho tiempo para probar el queso local antes de dirigirnos a la bodega.

My wife and I signed up for the Montserrat wine tasting and tapas tour while in Barcelona last week.
We had difficulty hearing our tour guide (Ursula). She is knowledgeable, but surprisingly, Montserrat is very, very loud for a monastery. The combination of a soft-spoken tour guide in conjunction with very loud surroundings made for a somewhat frustrating experience. The tapas were okay; albeit cold, and the wine was okay, not great. The views at the monastery were fabulous and the church was, too. Wish we had some sort of audio assistance as it was simply to loud to hear the history of this great site.

Our tour guide Mariana was very informative and a gracious host. One of the best guided wine tours.

A highlight of our Barcelona visit! My husband and I did the full day experience, and Nerea was our guide. She was excellent! She taught us so much about the history of Barcelona, Montserrat, and wine. She went above and beyond by emailing us after the tour with an answer to a question we had! It felt so good to get out of the city for a day as well.

While the experience as a whole was 5 stars, we do wish the wine tasting portion of the day would’ve been a bit longer. We spent the majority of the day exploring the Montessori - which was very beautiful, but since the description of the experience is heavily focused on the wine tasting you would expect to spend more than a couple of hours at the winery (and certainly more than 1 hour doing the actual tasting).

Overall it was a great experience, but we wish the wine tasting portion was longer/that we would’ve visited more than one winery.

Our guide, Pep, was helpful and informative. We had just the right amount of free time to explore along with a tour full of information and humor.

We did the half day tour and it was fantastic. Lorena was our guide and she was so helpful and knowledgeable. Montserrat was spectacular with free time to do our own thing as well as the tour. The winery was gorgeous and the tapas was so tasty. Food allergies and vegetarians/vegans were catered for. 10/10 would recommend

We loved the tour of Montserrat with Pep and the rest of the Castlexperience team! It was a great experience and we would rate it a 10/10. If anything, I wish we had done the tour at the beginning of our trip rather than at the end, as we gained valuable knowledge and experience that would have improved the whole trip. Specifically the guides shared great recommendations for all kinds of activities in the Barcelona area. Seems like we’ll have to make another trip to check out their advice!

An experience that came together because of so many beautiful elements. I would like to first start with our tour guide Narea who was so passionate, funny, and kind. I'm a firm believer that a tour guide can make or break your experience, and she was five stars. The area of Monteserat was beautiful, and learning about their beautiful saint was heart-touching; I highly recommend you get tickets to get close to her. The tour ended with a fun wine tasting, and the tapas were delicious.

What a fantastic day and experience. My wife had booked this excursion and I was sceptical but I must admit it has been the best part of our trip so far. The scenery was stunning and the food and wine were delicious too. Special mention to our tour guide Anays who was superb and really made the trip. She was so knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. I’d highly recommend this excursion to anyone visiting Barcelona!

We went on the half day Montserrat tour. What a great day learning all about Catalonia! Great blend of history, culture, food, and of course, wine! Pep was our guide, and he was extremely knowledgeable and funny. Even emailed us a great list of his own personal recommendations around Barcelona for the rest of our stay. Couldn’t recommend a tour with Castlexperience enough!

Montserrat, Food & Wine Full Day Tour from Barcelona:
Excellent tour with very friendly staff, very professional, well maintained and cleaned buses. Plenty of time to do different things (sightseeing and shopping). Lunch was very good and the wine tour was special.
Because of the driving up to Monserrat (many curves), one person in our group got sick. On our way down, without us asking, they did an special accommodation and the person was able to make it back without any additional sickness. To us, that was a nice gesture and like I said, we did not ask for it.
The tour guide, Mariana, she was phenomenal. She was providing facts about Barcelona, Monserrat, Spain in such a nice, fun way that it kept the entire bus crowd alert and laughing. She was brilliant!

A great experience. Very organized and extremely knowledgeable tour guide. Pol was not only a tour guide. He is a historian with a huge passion for Catalan history and culture. It was a really enjoyable experience. Definitely recommend them.

It was a great experience. Definitely not a waste of time. Anays is an amazing guide. I strongly recommend a half-day trip with tapas.

We did the tapas and wine tour at Montserrat. Staff was very accommodating. We initially had to cancel due to weather but they were happy to help and change our booking to the following day without any issue. The tour guide, Anaise (spelling?), was funny & knowledgable. Montserrat is incredible but if you are afraid of heights, just heads up because the bus trip to the very top of the mountain is a bit heart pumpin lol The roads were narrow and our bus driver never slowed down. But when you reach the top, you'll find breathtaking views! The vineyard is also beautiful but we werent allowed to go stroll through them. Another minor complaint would be the provided lunch - cold tapas were below average but the wines are good, three different ones and we get to taste their expensive €200 orange wine!

This tour has the ease and relaxed flow of something that has been well organized. This is noticeable in the big things, like the schedule that has been well tuned to offer a good mix of guided and unguided parts, but also in small details, like how each group that came with the same bus uses a different route through the locations, how the guides are very relaxed and clearly know what they’re doing, and how the information email covers everything very well and even offers an American phone number.

Montserrat is the amazing, badly-hidden secret of Cataluña. As in: it’s clearly very famous within the region, but I’m not sure if I had heard of it from my Spanish family or if the name reminded me of the font family. Either way: beautiful, historically significant, and it was a nice surprise to stumble upon an ancient boy choir like this. The vineyard and castle were intriguing and beautiful as well, but the important part there was, of course, the wine.

My tour guide was Anays, a catalan with a capital C, a bubbly presenting style and a strong American accent. She was great. The tour clearly has a few fixed talking points, but those dots are connected by the guides themselves, and she connected the dots beautifully. She often gauged the interest of the group in different topics and would go deeper or not depending on how interested we were. But she also offered a lot of information that was particularly interesting to her, like her extensive knowledge on wines stemming from her winemaker studies, or the backstory of the vineyard dog, for those interested.
There is this saying in the world of video games to indicate the level of detail and humanity in a game’s systems, brought down to the essential question of “Can you pet the dog? ”. Well, you CAN pet the dog (if he wants to as well, of course), and your tour guide WILL set alarms on her phone to not get lost too much in her tangent on local wines and the balance between wine tasting show-off and science (I wouldn’t have minded more). She also sent us a great list of recommendations in Barcelona afterwards.

I repeat the recommendation given by the tour guides: go on a weekday. Montserrat had a good amount of tourists on the Wednesday I went, but I can imagine it wouldn’t be very pleasant in the weekend. The full-day tour would definitely be worth it: there is enough to do culturally in both Montserrat and the castle, and (judging by the way Anays greeted every other person we encountered), socially as well.

We did the 7 hour Montserrat Wine and Tapas tour and it went above and beyond our expectations. We were nervous it wouldn’t feel worth the money, but it absolutely was. The bus was comfortable and clean, our tour guide (Pep) was both fun and knowledgeable, and both Montserrat and the winery were stunning. We chose the tapas tour instead of the more expensive lunch tour, but the tapas were really filling and we got to enjoy them in a castle! I would definitely recommend this to any friends visiting Barcelona.

We did a lovely half day tour to Montessarat and to a vineyard. Our guide was Núriya who was very engaging and personable, and we'd really recommend.

Super professional and skilled guides who teach us a whole lot of history and culture, high quality wines and the visit itself (the monastery and the winery). Memorable!
As a side note, I'd say the food is far from worth the price, maybe the tapas option is better.
