As a former ex Chic Room customer, I feel compelled to register my dissatisfaction with the company. Yes they will treat you very well for you to make your rent and show the properties available. However they will be unable to manage any future needs of you. And also to support you legally when leaving a floor. They border on irresponsibility and believe that customers, especially foreigners, do not have any kind of rights!
I definitely don't recommend it. Keep your distance!

Sometimes we require apartments for our clients and ChicRoom are the best to deal with. Always a pleasure to work with. Keep up the good work!

Delighted with the service offered by ChicRoom Barcelona. We rented a beautiful holiday apartment in Barcelona city centre. We will definitely use ChicRoom again!

This has been my best experience of renting a flat in my life, Christian and his team are first class. I have really enjoy the process I even met the landlord. Now I live in the amazing flat over looking port vell watching sun set each night. Keep up the good work.

We have moved to Barcelona from Sweden few months ago. Reached Chicroom partners through recommendation of a friend (not internet) and time proved we were lucky meeting them.
Through the network of Chicroom's Patricia and Cristian, we could make a deal for a nice flat, where both us and the landlord were satisfied on an optimum level. The details like transferring of utility bills, bank account arrangements etc are all solved by Chicroom, with an English level that is hard to find in Spain.
They get their good commission but it just worths when you move to Barcelona without even speaking Spanish or Catalan. They informed and helped us with every step of the move, even after it was completed. It is more like a friendship than a business relationship.
A definite five star service.

Mi experiencia con Cristian ha sido muy positiva, es un buen profesional, puntual, educado, simpático y cumple lo que dice, no se puede decir lo mismo de otras inmobiliarias. Lo recomiendo.

We loved our stay in Barcelona! The short term holiday apartment we rented from Chicroom was beautiful, clean, in the city centre.and the check in was very quick and easy!

Personally I would be careful my partner has been having lots of hassle getting her deposit back from the landlord, she rented a studio apartment for 6 months at a cost of 1000 euro plus 80 euros a month to cover utility bills.
During the check out we were told that the 2000 deposit will be returned after they check the bills and also told by the landlord this would take a maximum of 10 days.
We are now a month 1 and 6 days after the check out and the landlord has chosen to ignore all phone calls (at least 2 a day every day) messages, emails, and instant messenger. The agent has told us that they cannot do anything as they do not hold the deposit.
We are now at the point where this is becoming very worrying as we have had to visit a solicitor in Spain at extra cost to advise us on what is best.
Although ChicRoom Barcelona seems that they have a great portfolio of properties and very friendly on the phone I still do not see to this day what they are doing about the situation in order to resolve it.
Its very unprofessional and when we return to live back in BCN we will certainly not be using them

I used several different flat providers before moving permanently to Barcelona. Chic Rooms was the best we found.
We had LOTS of problems with other companies - one pulled a bait-and-switch on us. Another gave us a place with an dial-up speed internet connection and then kept our 1,500 Euro pre-payment when we had to leave, and now refuses to respond to calls or e-mails at all. We had other horror stories as well.
However, Patricia and Christian, the principals who run Chic Rooms, really listened to our needs and frustrations, and bailed us out of a jam when we were at wits-end in this unwieldy city.
Our flat in El Born was awesome - big, bright, quality installations, with a huge terrace, picnic table and awning - definitely the most comfortable of the 7 or 8 flats I stayed in on previous trips to Barcelona.
Patricia and Christian are quality folks - we found them to be honest, very responsive and easy to deal with. It was helpful to have a second decision-maker readily available when one was out of the office. They're also lovely people, which wasn't the case with everyone we dealt with.
We had occasion to test the quality of their service several times. When the internet was acting wonky, they sent workmen. It turned out there was a problem affecting the whole neighborhood. When we had to extend at the last minute because the permanent flat we had found wasn't ready yet, not only were they were flexible, but they even offered to change our rent to the monthly rate, which let us stay longer at no extra charge.
There are a small number of reliable, honest companies run by good people with with access to great high-end flats in Barcelona. In our experience, Chic Rooms is one of the best.
