Dinamo language academy

Me inscribí para el mes de agosto de 2023 en el curso intensivo de 2 horas x 4 días a la semana para principiantes absolutos. La escuela tenía buenas críticas, estaba ubicada en el centro y cerca de donde me hospedaba. El proceso de inscripción fue sencillo y éramos unos 12 en la clase. Gisela, nuestra maestra, fue excelente. Se centró en garantizar que conversáramos en español y nos mantuvo involucrados con actividades que nos enseñaron lo que teníamos que aprender, además de ser divertidas. Fue fantástico conocerla a ella y a los demás estudiantes. Era un ambiente muy cómodo y social. Al principio tenía dudas, pero al final del mes tenía el vocabulario y la confianza para expresarme en español.

¡¡¡AMO ESTE LUGAR! Pasé las últimas cinco semanas tomando clases grupales con Gisella (ella es la MEJOR) y ¡no podría haber pedido una clase mejor! Aprendí mucho e hice grandes amigos. ¡Muy recomendable si buscas clases de idiomas divertidas y educativas!

I took the evening course with two weekly classes for 4 weeks. Even after a full day of work, Laura made it easy to follow the class and have fun while learning Spanish! Very satisfied with the value I got for the money.

We’ve recently had online classes with Dolors. She’s been fantastic! We’ve also done in person classes at the academy over the last few years. Its a really great place! Both my wife and I would recommend it as a place to learn a new language!

Recomiendo encarecidamente Dinamo Academy a cualquiera que quiera aprender español en Barcelona. Hay clases para todos los niveles, el pago es muy flexible (mensual), y la enseñanza es genial! No había aprendido español antes de llegar a Barcelona pero después de 6 meses de clases (dos veces por semana) estoy en A2 y aprendo rápido. El tamaño de las clases es bueno y hay una buena combinación de "técnica" (gramática, etc.) y práctica, con mucho énfasis en aprender hablando juntos en español, ¡lo cual es divertido! Nuestra profesora, Laura, es fantástica.

Estudié en el Dinamo durante unos meses haciendo tanto las clases intensivas como las de medio tiempo. He mejorado mis habilidades lingüísticas, realmente disfruto de mis clases y he descubierto que todo el personal es amable y está comprometido a ayudar a los estudiantes a mejorar.

Dinamo's one of the best language academies I have attended. Not only is it reasonably priced, the school also boasts an incredibly talented and personable instructor, Dmitrii, whose enthusiasm and humour make the learning process a joy. In the short amount of time I've been taking lessons, I'm already seeing drastic improvement in my Spanish skills can't wait for the journey ahead!

Great Spanish teachers, small classes and good mix of grammar and (lots of) speaking. I also really like that you pay a month at a time and that there is NO nonrefundable registration fee (matriculación), makes everything much more flexible.

Really great language school. I have tried others in the city before but what i love about this one is A) they don't tie you down to a contract. B) No pointless books to pay for or registration fee. C) The teacher I have (Demetri) is absolutely brilliant. D) There is no pressurised on the spot speaking. It is totally easy going which makes you want to participate even more. E) It is one of the lowest prices for a language course. Totally 5 star worthy!

I've been taking classes for over a month now and love the experience. The classes are structured and well-organized, but in small groups that allow for lots of conversation practice. I'm excited to continue in the new year to keep making progress.

Been to a few language schools and have found Dinamo to be by far the best yet. Our teacher Belen brings so much energy and passion to the class it's a joy to learn (even after a long day). Looking forward to progressing and improving my Spanish! Gracias Dinamo!

I did some language classes, both online and in person over a number of months recently and I can't speak highly enough about the staff and their kindness and attention to detail! A really great school!

I have been attending the intensive course (Mon-Thurs 12-2PM) since the beginning of January and I have enjoyed it so much and plan to continue for the remainder of my time in Barcelona. Guillermo is an incredible, approachable, patient, and methodical teacher. I had a pretty low level of Spanish to begin with but now I am much more confident in speaking and can read and understand a lot. One of the most important things about the structure of Dinamo Academy courses and Guillermo as a teacher is that my interest and passion to learn Spanish continues to grow with their help.

I am so happy i found this school. The people there are all really friendly and my teacher Monica is doing a really great job by pushing us to speak a lot and giving us homework which is necessary to improve fast. The classes are fun and I look forward to them. I am happy about my progress in spanish starting from 0 as a native german and I also found friends during my classes. I will recommend this school (especially Monica) to everyone in need

Dinamo Academy is recommended by my classmates to learn Spanish. The class is small and interactive with fair prices. The teacher provides games and encourages you to ask in Spanish. Also, Anna at the reception is patient and helpful. She always tries to help me find the courses that fit me the best. Wish I can join the courses again in the future.

Dinamo language academy was the first school that caught my attention while looking for a place to learn Spanish before arriving in Barcelona in August. Besides the cool look of the location, I was pleased with the great communication with Anna and her help with matching me up with the right Spanish level based on my past experience. 5 months later - I couldn’t be happier with my choice. I’ve improved my Spanish tremendously thanks to the engaging teaching methods and the possibility to practice my speaking in a very supportive environment. The teachers do everything they can to keep the classes interactive and the students are always great people, very diverse and international. I have been attending Spanish classes with Dinamo since August and I really love it. I would highly recommend this school. It has such a lovely friendly atmosphere. Both Guilermo and Emmamy teachers have been so lovely and I have become so much more confident in speaking Spanish over the past few months. Classes are nice and small and there’s lots of chances to speak in Spanish and ask the teachers questions. The combination of oral language games and written tasks is great. I look forward to continuing lessons after Christmas too.:)

Hace tres meses que estoy haciendo un curso intensivo de español aquí. Nunca me gustó mucho ir a la escuela, pero los cursos aquí en grupos pequeños son muy divertidos y estoy contenta de ir todos los días.
Anna en la recepción es muy amable y a veces nos envía los deberes por email cuando no podemos ir a clase.
Guillermo, nuestro profesor, es muy atento y paciente con nosotros. Explica con detalle y pone ejemplos comprensibles. Da buenos consejos porque tiene conocimientos de otras lenguas (p.ej.alemán). Además, es muy divertido.

Currently doing the beginner Spanish classes with Dinamo Language Academy and I'm really enjoying it! Classes are small and interactive, and teaching methods are fun and effective. Also, the staff are so friendly! I'd definitely recommend them if anyone is looking to improve their Spanish (or English) language skills! I'm planning on continuing with another course with them when I finish this one!

The school is great! I have been in several ones in Barcelona before, but this one I like the best. The location is great, so are the teachers, and the bonus is that it always smells nice there and the interior is cool:)

I am currently attending a spanish course in A1.3/A2.1.
The teacher is super motivated and always in a good mood. Individual needs of the participants are considered and the vibe of the class feels amazing ;-) The small size of the group leads to many conversations, which is very helpful to practice spanish.

I am finishing my first month of spanish classes at Dinamo Language school and I have been loving it! The classes are very dynamic and engaging and the teachers are very professional and fun:) In just few weeks I learned a lot and I and I am definitely renewing for the next level!

I have done a two week intense course and an extended spanish class with dinamo acedemy. The teachers are professional and friendly, and are motivated to answer all my questions.:) As a student i enjoy the lunch time classes they offer. Learning materials are provided with no extra cost and the groups are never too large. I would recommend the school!

Elsa was a great teacher and I learnt lots in her classes mainly because she taught in Spanish and was very friendly. She encouraged us to talk to other students in the class. Also the academy is very good value for money and the receptionists are very helpful. Muchas gracias!

Dinamo is a very qualitative and fun school to learn Spanish! I have been studying there since 6 months already and I feel like I improved my level.

I did a month of A1 beginner class at Dinamo. There were about 9 of us from different countries with varying degrees of Spanish. Our teacher Monica was very good and made everyone feel at home. The exercises were fun and I learned a lot. It was a lot of material to take in so I did more studying than I meant to but it was a great way to spend a month in Barcelona and I recommend it. Back in London now and wish I was going to class again tomorrow.

Different courses on offer, to suit different people. Small groups, with a lot of individual time with the teacher. I mixed up a private class with a group class, to fit my own schedule. All the teachers and the team are friendly, patient and make classes fun. Communication was easy by email, and prices reasonable. A cool Academy in a cool part of town!

Small and friendly language school at the heart of Barcelona. The teachers are professional, the activities in class are well structured and planned, the teaching methods are effective and tailored to your personal needs. The schedule of the intensive course from Monday to Thursday, 10 to 12 am allows you to combine studying Spanish with a relaxing vacation.

I was in a class with 9 people. We had a very great teacher, nice students in the class. Maximum focus and social distancing always maintained!

When I started taking classes at Dinamo (more than a year ago), I barely knew any Spanish at all. From the first time when I visited the academy, I felt encouraged and welcome at the academy. Anna was amazing and placed me in the beginner's group with our teacher Dolors. In the beginning, it was a little bit hard (as it always is with a new language) but Dolors was patient, encouraging and accommodating to my level of Spanish. She is flexible and takes her time to know you as a student, often tailoring classes to suit your needs, strengths and weaknesses. I am happy I have gotten a chance to learn Spanish with her, as she has made it super fun and exciting every single class. In addition to this, Dinamo was quick to introduce and setup online classes when the pandemic started. This was such a relief during the lockdown as we had classes despite lockdown and we continued learning Spanish without any break due to these adverse situations. Although restrictions have eased, we have continued online classes with our group as our group preferred to have them online:) I highly recommend Dinamo and would encourage you to call/visit them if you are keen on learning Spanish!

I'm doing my second course there now and the quality of teaching and lesson content have been fantastic.

Really friendly and helpful staff, which makes it a perfect environment to learn and improve in.

Small class sizes mean you get a great amount of one-to-one tuition from the teacher, while also allowing you to practice with other students who are at a similar level of speaking.

The location is nice and central, 2 mins from The Arc de Triomf so getting there on time for classes is easy.

Would highly recommend to anyone looking to start learning Spanish, and also to those who want to improve the level they are already at.

We started our Online Lessons a few months ago and are really excited every new session with Alba. She has an excellent and fun approach to learning to speak Spanish. They made a good transition to the remote courses, however last summer also joined the onsite ones. Which are great. If you are looking for a good organisation to learn Spanish in Barcelona. We recommend it!

Dinamo is a great place to study spanish. The teachers are very friendly and the location is perfect.

I was looking for a language school to take Spanish courses back in November and I have found Dinamo Academy online. I wrote to Anna and she was very kind, replied me very quickly, and placed me in a group immediately. The next day I started my course. Anna is very helpful whenever I ask her something.

My group is very small, we are three. Our teacher Alba is fantastic! Her approach to teach is very fun. We always have interesting conversations while learning Spanish. The classes are very interactive. Also, Alba is a very professional and knowledgeable teacher. I really enjoy our classes together and I always look forward to our next class.

Also, the price is affordable as well.

I couldn't recommend enough! If you are looking for an academy to learn Spanish in Barcelona don't think twice, choose Dinamo.

The groups are pretty small and because of that you learn a lot in short time. The pricing is pretty good aswell especially compared to what you get out of it. There is also no hidden fees or anything. The price that you get is the actual price you get. Very good:)

I've been taking Spanish classes with Dinamo for about 2 years now and I love their methodology, their focus on building your confidence, and how practical the grammar/vocab/listening exercises we do are. And, most importantly, all the speaking! Would 100% recommend:)

I started learning Spanish with Dinamo in May 2020 after they offered online lessons due to the pandemic (I live in England). I initially had a phone call with Ana to assess my ability before going into a beginner class with the wonderful María. The teaching style at Dinamo is fantastic - it is intuitive and therefore catered to the needs of its pupils. It is all centered around the joy of learning a new language whilst immersing yourself in it. I have grown so much in confidence over the past 9 months and more recently we have been able to have conversations surrounding current affairs as well as socio-economic issues which is amazing considering it has been less than a year since I started learning. Can't say enough great things about this school. We studied in person for 6 weeks before moving to online classes via Zoom during the quarantine. Then we continued for another 3+ months from home. María is an incredible teacher that speaks slowly and includes many common phrases (beyond the standard vocab and tenses) that are used in everyday life. So helpful! We found the prices very reasonable compared to other schools - Anna was very flexible and easy to communicate with. We're currently taking a break but hope to return at some point. ¡Gracias Dinamo!

Best language school in Barcelona! I had Alba and Anabel as teachers. I learned so much and also scheduling of my classes was flexible and easy. The language school is located very well and the location looks super cool.

I love this place! The environment is really casual and human, yet professional - exactly what I was looking for. Suited perfectly to those who wish to learn in a friendly, modern and autonomous environment. My teacher is ALBA and she is fantastic! Really easy going and happy, always remembering the things we asked in the last class, and very knowledgable, explaining everything in an understandable and vivid manner. Plus the location is very central while the prices are very reasonable. I also appreciated the fact it is possible to commit monthly, without having to pay several months ahead. Couldn't be happier I joined!:)

Great teachers (especially Alba and Andreu!) had a great time during my month intensive course here but unfortunately my course ended a day earlier than previously agreed which left a sour taste in my mouth. Be aware that even if you pay full price the course length is determined by the calendar month, not when you signed up.

I’ve studied Spanish at Dinamo for two years on and off, initially in very small group classes but swiftly moving to 121 lessons, and I cannot recommend it enough. The first year I spent developing my language from a very basic starting point - classes were great and tailored to both my level and my interests, making things much more enjoyable. I’m also very demanding and impatient (I expect to pick up a book and be fluent) so they did a great job of keeping me focused and ensuring I learnt at a decent speed.

Over the last year I have been doing a masters in Spanish and have had such amazing support from my teacher, Dolors, which has been invaluable and way beyond expectations. She is on top of her game and has been 100% dedicated to helping me with whatever I’ve needed. This has involved helping me with preparations for my coursework, exams, my thesis and my final presentation assessment. Honestly I can’t imagine I would have received this level of commitment and guidance anywhere else.

On top of everything else, my timetable has been an absolute nightmare and they have been really flexible and accommodating, helping me schedule classes wherever possible even if it’s been a bit chaotic. I don’t know anyone else who’s had a better academy experience in Barcelona!

I was studying Spanish for several months at Dinamo and can highly recommend this language school to everyone who is looking for small classes, highly skilled teachers and fair prices. I have had 10 private classes with Dolors over the past 3 weeks and the variation of the lessons have been great. From understanding the basics with written, verbal / conversational and audio I have been able to learn a lot in such a short amount of time. I have had classes at Dinamo BCN for three months and have improved my Spanish a lot thanks to my teacher, Guillermo. It was an great choice to study in this school as the environment is so cosy and familiar.

I have just started beginners Spanish at Dinamo and am already happy with my progress. The teacher is warm and friendly and makes the class enjoyable. I was also relieved to find out that the class provided printed hand-outs, so I was not required to buy books. My class has 5 students in it, which is small enough to ensure plenty of focus on each student but big enough that I get to meet some interesting people. Located in the very-cool Sant Pere area, with original brickwork, old-school desks and blackboards, the academy has a really nice atmosphere. I highly recommend it to those looking for affordable prices, professional teachers and a slightly alternative feel.

Genial. An excellent school, centrally located, with elegant classrooms. I had a teacher who was both strict and compassionate. Because of the small classes (just three in mine) each student gets a great opportunity to speak - so important when learning a language. The methods are inventive and interactive. You play games, imagine and tells stories based on a few words or pictures. Having fun while learning a language: what a novel idea! Genial. Gracias Dinamo.

I had classes for several months here and all the teachers were excellent. They each have their own style of teaching but the focus is generally on creative learning (games, conversations, writing stories etc) rather than studying pages of grammar. Several students in my class had moved from other schools and were much happier with what they were learning at Dinamo. The prices are also some of the best in Barcelona. I would highly recommend it.
