Dr. Victoria Howe - Native English Speaking Doctor - Online & In-person

My son had ear infection while we’ve been visiting Barcelona this Fall. Dr. Howe accepted a virtual appointment the same day. The appointment was short and eficiente. She asked all she needed to know and gave me a prescription for medications. Payment and receiving the prescription was all smooth.

I saw Dr. Howe regarding some urgent gynaecological issues. While my initial appointment was quick and well organised, my follow up treatment was incredibly disappointing and left me with further complications. While I was assured by Dr. Howe that she would go over my results with me this ended up being an email conversation that took days in response, meanwhile I was told that I would have to pay more money and schedule another appointment if i wanted to actually go over my results. After my symptoms worsened I had to seek treatment elsewhere because Dr. Howe refused to continue my treatment and never responded to my last email. I was treated with the bare minimum care and would not recommend this physician.

Australian traveller in need of English-speaking GP and medical certificate. Contacted her office and got a response very quickly. Office about 20-25min walk from La Rambla Street and was easy to find on foot. Medical certificate was bilingual Spanish/English so great if you need one for travel insurance or other official purposes.

I was visiting Barcelona over last weekend and had a minor medical issue. I found Dr. Howe online and in need of an English Speaker I approached her. Her team was very helpful, responsive and helped me out by assessing my situation. Because Dr. Howe had no availability to see me same day I had to contact a different doctor. But she and her team advised me on my medical situation - it was very kind and pleasant and I can only recommend her for that.

Great experience, great service, very good doctor. She made me feel very comfortable, she is very knowledgeable and treated my symptoms immediately.

Amazing doctor, we loved her. We came to study abroad and didn´t know where to go. She has helped us with everything, from health issues, tests and even with travelling. 10/10! Thank you!

I just want to note this is the first review I've ever given and am not the kind of person who does this, but I was so shocked with how rude the service was I felt it my duty to let others know.

- She was really quick at replying regarding money - always the same day or hour. Great service here.

- When I asked for advice about results she didn't reply for days, at which point I emailed a polite reminder.

- Her response implied I look elsewhere for help. All because I was in too much of a 'rush' for her.

- I must say I was incredibly shocked at how unprofessional she was in her response - not what I expect from a Doctor.

- I paid €€€ for this service and am really, truly disappointed by it.

There are plenty of other great options in Barcelona.

** I am also incredibly shocked she is giving very sensitive patient information on a public platform about my 'major surgery'. But this seems in keeping with my previous experience, and another reason to avoid his practice. **

Both my family and I are very happy with Dr. Howe. She has always been there when we´ve needed her, even at the weekends. She is quick to respond, finds the problem and treats you rapidly and with efficiency and always is there if we need a follow up. Highly recommended.

I had moved to Spain and been having gastrointestinal issues.

At first I was excited to work with this doctor. She had excellent reviews and was skilled in exactly what I needed treated.

I set up an appointment with her, although it was quick she asked me many questions and set me up with some tests and asked for a food log.

Following the tests she never got back to me. It took several attempts for a reply. After getting a reply it didn’t give me any advice to what I should do to solve the issue I am going through.

I took a very descriptive food journal and sent it to her. Again no response.

I was having a large flare up and seeked help from her. It’s been weeks with no reply. No issue solved. I am in the process of finding another doctor because I am still experiencing the issues I started with and getting no second consultation or recommendations.

Paul her assistant is fantastic and easy to deal with. I wish the Doctor was able to give me the same treatment as her staff.

Dr. Howe is a very good doctor, caring and very professional. I have had a medical issue for the last 6 weeks and have had some stress due to this. She has treated me in 4 days, problem has disappeared and she has kept in touch with me to make sure I was feeling better. I truly recommend her, there´s no doubt about it. And thank you Paul!

She takes the time for you and understands the situation.she has a lot of knowledge and is clear. You will be responded to quickly and all options are possible. Very good experience!

Interested, Intelligent, compassionate, intuitive.
Traveling from the States alone I was slightly afraid to book an appointment with someone from the internet.but I was so nauseous. I just had to see someone.
What a lovely surprise. I felt better almost immediately just being in her office.
The receptionist was also lovely.
I'm back at my hotel.my prescription already filled.less than 2 hours from start to finish.

I booked the appointment over whatsapp, I quickly recevied a time and was seeing within 2 minuts of arriving at the clinic. The doctor was very good, knew exactly what she was doing and gave me the exact right medication I needed, plus a couple of prescriptions for me to have.
Excellent service, very easy for english speaking peolpe in Barcelona (or elsewhere, as she has told me we could have online/phone consulations when needed during my trips.)

We used Dr. Howes services during our semester in Barcelona last spring. We were all very happy to have found her, especially our mums!

Very happy with the service, her assistant, the team was very helpful and she is a very good doctor. She helped us during the 5 weeks we were there in Barcelona and we have even continued contact through phone while travelling in Europe. Highly recommended for all people travelling in Europe.

I recommend her 100%. She´s the doctor to go to if you are in Barcelona, she takes care of you during your trip and even send prescriptions over mail if needed (they can be used in Europe!). She will give you her whatsapp number so you can contact her during your stay in Barcelona or if you´re travelling. Can´t thank her enough!

She´s a very good doctor. She treated me immediately and gave me what I needed. She also helped me with my prescriptions and my refills. She´s always available and even answers over the weekend.

Very professional and caring doctor. She knew exactly what I had (after seeing 3 doctor while travelling in Europe) and I am now fully recovered. The price is expensive but it´s one of the best for emergencies in Barcelona (we tried a public hospital and they were charging us 500 euros deposit before even seeing me). She´s an experienced doctor and you immediately trust in her.
