Federal Café

Qué extraño.
Fui aquí hoy para mimarme con un desayuno Qafor y me hicieron sentir completamente desagradable. A pesar de estar casi totalmente vacío no me dejaban comer en la terraza, sin explicación.
YA NO ES UN LUGAR PARA IR, una pena, ya que solía ser muy agradable.

Lugar muy bonito de 3 plantas con una pequeña terraza con sombra en la parte superior.
Personal muy amable y acogedor.
Precios un poco elevados pero todo muy bueno.
Nos gustó mucho

Muy buen desayuno en esta cafetería.
El matcha era bueno, al igual que el tazón de acai y el desayuno de tocino de la mañana.
Personal muy amable, al contrario de las críticas anteriores.

A primera vista dudamos en entrar y luego pedimos estar arriba, una pequeña azotea por descubrir para desayunar en Barcelona, ​​es bonito, está bueno, no es un desayuno barato pero está bonito ;)

Si buscas un ambiente para trabajar y tomarte un buen café o si quieres quedar con un amiga/o y charlas. Federal es un buen lugar si estar por la zona.

Recientemente visité el Federal Café Parlament en Barcelona y fue una experiencia realmente agradable. La calidad de los productos fue excelente y el servicio impecable. El precio también fue muy justo. Lo recomiendo altamente.

Sinceramente, el peor servicio que he recibido en mucho tiempo. El camarero fue increíblemente grosero con nosotros en múltiples ocasiones, inútil y nos hizo sentir como un inconveniente solo por estar allí. Nuestro pedido no estaba escrito y cuando llegó estaba equivocado. El camarero subió y bajó las escaleras pisoteando todo el tiempo que estuvimos allí, y escuchamos groserías similares hacia otros clientes. El ambiente era horrible y nuestra experiencia de un lugar agradable quedó completamente arruinada.

(No puedo calificar la comida porque estábamos tan horrorizados con nuestra experiencia que decidimos simplemente tomar café y comer en otro lugar)

Editar: Acabo de leer otras reseñas similares a la mía y me sorprende que nadie haya respondido a aquellos clientes que tuvieron una experiencia tan mala.

El café está bien, solo tenga en cuenta que todavía sirven el café con leche al estilo europeo (quédese con un cortado). Comida buena y servicio rápido.

Si te va el rollo pijoteras y hipter.es tu local. Carísimo pero puedes ir allí a fardar de MacBook como hacen todos. Supongo que si tienes un MacBook podrás permitirte el bol de cereales por 5€

Cafés y desayuno muy recomendables. Personal, atención y actitud un 0, muy decepcionados con el trato recibido: antipáticos, secos, rozando la mala educación. No volveré.

Camarero altivo e irrespetuoso. El peor servicio de Barcelona. Si no eres guiri no te molestes en ir.

Genuinely saddened by the customer service experience here. I have loved this place a while and even recommended it on my site. I love the coffee and the food is really great for brunch options.

However today I went in for lunch and the ‘laptop table’ was full, with all the other tables wide open (which I have used my laptop at before). Look - I understand the premise of having a ‘laptop table’ completely. But when we asked to sit down with laptops at another open table, we were TURNED AWAY. No saying ‘you may sit here and order until a seat opens at the big table, ’ no ‘okay you can sit here for 60/90 mins tops. ’ We we’re literally told ‘sorry there’s nothing I can do, it’s full. ’ While a fellow coworker and this waitress made faces at each other. We would have probably spent €60 between us on brunch, coffee, and smoothies/juice. But they literally told paying customers to leave and we won’t be returning. Shame.

Excellent service, the food was absolutely fantastic we went twice and could not say a bad word about any of the dishes. Such a wonderful experience would highly recommend!

Un muy buen lugar para hacer el brunch en Barcelona.
La atención es buena.
Mucha variedad de platos, las propuestas molan.
El café está muy bien.
Os recomiendo el bocata de pastrami, es delicioso!
Para mejorar: pondría más platos vegetarianos/veganos.

I went again today, my 3rd visit over the years, and was disappointed. Eggs Benedict was soggy (too much moisture, sauce) and the salmon wasn't very fresh. Plus no side salad- or anything- is just cheap.

The price is too high compared to the quality.

Service wasn't great. Coffee isn't premium.

Other recent reviews here have address all these same points. Believe them.

There are a lot of options for brunch now in BCN. Including a few others locally.

Compared to other brunch places this now feels more like a diner. You can go here and get the standards (and it is nice you can make your own plates/customisation)

Federal once was great - one of the only brunch places. Now there is competition and frankly the others are much better.

Stuff are not respectful. The guy gave me order to seat with horrible tonation, when I complained he doesn't stop yelling.

En el local de Parlament (BCN), la comida buenísima, la atención de los camareros fue muy amable, pero la chica rubia de la barra (parecía ser la encargada) resultó algo desagradable y maleducada.

He ido a teletrabajar ya que es un sitio con mesas para trabajar pero resulta que ya no tienen enchufes. Digo ya no porque hace unos meses estuve trabajando allí durante días y se podía cargar el portátil. El camarero insistiendo de que no hay enchufes. Bastante ridículo.así que cuidado a los que querais teletrabajar

Great coffee but leaves a bitter taste as the staff are incredibly rude and service is really slow. Mostly the main woman who runs the place. She behaves as though she's doing you a favour by giving you a coffee and charging you for the pleasure. I've sadly stopped coming here because of the rudeness. I've never experienced service this bad

Coffee is nice but staff are not very friendly, food looks good on the presentation but it was actually quite bland.

Sitio espectacular para desayunar. Zumos naturales y tostadas muy elaboradas. Merece la pena comenzar el día aquí.

Este lugar es muy bueno, limpio y espectáculo, calmo, ideal para la mañana. Abierto a las 9: 00. Tiene carta enorme y en dos lenguas. Camareras son amables y rápidas. Me encanta mucho. Los platos son grandes y delisiosos.

We came here for breakfast as we were staying at a hotel near by. Their avocado toast was very good although not huge. The place is airy and comfortable inside and the pricing is reasonable. I wish they would have higher quality coffee beans as a place like this should probably have the coffee match the food in terms of quality.

El problema de este sitio es la camarera rubia una maleducada antipática mira mala atiende mal, Cuando le pido un café con carga doble me lo hace normal o pone pegas para hacérmelo doble cuando vine con mis amigos nos trata igual de mal que a mí es decir no soy la única persona que dice esto, horrible trato por parte de esa mujer

Wouldn't recommend if you bring a laptop cause they've removed all electrical sockets so people with laptops will have to leave faster. Apart from that their food and service is great.

Very nice food for average prices in a quiet but central part of the city, friendly stuff and international guests

Hace unos dias fui a desayunar, pedí un zumo de naranja y una tortilla con espinacas, y a los 20 minutos cuando fui a pedir un cafe con leche me comentaron que en su terraza no se podia utilizar la tablet, asi que no podia estar alli sentada y que me tenia que ir a una mesa grande de la entrada (en interior). Lo siento pero no comparto esa politica de empresa, asi que muy educadamente me senti que me invitaban a irme, al final por el modico precio de 13€ (tortilla + zumo + cafe con leche).

The coffee place is beautiful and has quality products. Staff is not always polite at this location. Today I went sitting at the terrace upstairs with the idea of ordering something to eat and to drink while checking out emails on my laptop. The waitress walked at me and told me I wasn't allowed to have my laptop open at the terrace cause otherwise other people would do the same (mmmm OK and?) I explained I was just gonna eat and drink my food and then would have left and that I wanted to stay at the terrace cause I do smoke, but she wouldn't let me stay, so I left. Terrace was empty. She didn't even ask me what I was planning on ordering. If you don't want me to spend money at your coffee place just put a big sign on it and won't even waste my time.

The place is nice, but don't get fooled by the big table on the first floor, you shouldn't go there to work, it's just too loud!

Bonito lugar! Ambiente agradable para un brunch con varias opciones, los camareros te guían si tienes dudas, no hay cambiador para bebés pero nos habilitaron un sitio para hacerlo con mucha amabilidad. Repetiremos.

Considerable descenso de la calidad del producto y atención al cliente muy floja. Ha perdido todo su encanto. Hay muchas mejores opciones en Sant Antoni donde poder ir.

The food and coffee is always great here. I’ve been studying in Barcelona for about two semesters and this is my favorite place to go for lunch with friends or just to get some studying done at their communal table downstairs. The staff is always friendly. I’ve seen some reviews here that said that the waiters were super rude. I just think that people need to understand that especially if they’re busy (remember there’s 3 floors!) their responses can seem a little curt just because they’re rushing to get everyone’s food out in a timely manner.

Best Brunch in Barcelona! Great service with only a short wait. Sat on the rooftop garden level and it was great. Baked eggs with mushrooms was perfecto.

Incredibly rude staff. The surly waitress did her level best to ensure we didn't feel welcome. We couldn't wait to leave. A real shame, as the food was good.

Ok food, GREAT coffee. I take a few client meetings here because the location is very convenient and there is no denying how great the coffee is. However, the staff really do let this place down, hence the two stars. They are either incredibly rude or just very unhappy people. It can be quite frustrating dealing with such bad service but now I'm beginning to feel a bit sorry for them.

Muy buen café pero el personal es bastante desagradable. La verdad es que para que te traten mal, es mejor ir a otro sitio donde aprecien a sus clientes.

Lugar muy acogedor para desayunar, tomar un brinco, una merienda e incluso comer algún plato saludable en el que se puede disfrutar de un ambiente tranquilo y relajado donde algunas personas van a trabajar con su ordenador mientras toman un café. Los productos son todos de calidad y la carta incluye algunas propuestas novedosas y deliciosas. La terraza en el tercer piso es muy agradable.

Don't come here to work. Terribly slow WiFi. Only 2 sockets are available to charge your laptop in a room that is detached from the main Cafe. At least the food is great.

Very cute interior with large windows that open to the outside street and makes for lovely morning coffee.

If you’re looking for a place to work on your laptop with good WiFi and without feeling awkward about it, this place is great. The roasted vegetable sandwich is great too.

Worst camarera. Worst environment. My first time to try federal in parlament, I always go to the one in gotico. And worst decision. Gotico is WAY BETTER. BETTER ATMOSPHERE, and BETTER camarera/o. No wonder the rating is 3. You deserve it tho’

La comida es súper rica y tienen variedad en la carta.

Los camareros son muy desagradables y desatentos. Actúan como si estuvieran haciéndote un favor y el servicio es muy lento.

Tried again after a not so good experience and this time they were really friendly! Good food and you can also just come for a coffee or a cup of tea.

Local acogedor, recomiendo la terraza siempre que esté abierta, personal muy atento y comida deliciosa. Buen café y tartas exquisitas, me sorprendió la oferta de sándwiches y picoteo salado. Si quieres disfrutar de un buen momento con amigos es el sitio ideal.

Buonissimo posto, ideale per colazione o per pranzo. Le uova sono fantastiche, colazione fantastica. Super consigliato anche solo per un caffè.

Ambiente perfecto! Riquisimos los brunch, tmbien me gusta tomar un chai latte acompañado de una de sus tartas. En la terraza se esta muy agusto y desconectas del ajetreo de la ciudad. Buena ubicación!
