Federal Café

Recientemente visité Federal Café Gòtic en Barcelona y quedé muy impresionado con la calidad de los productos, el excelente servicio y el precio razonable. Fue una experiencia verdaderamente extraordinaria y la recomiendo ampliamente.

El restaurante está situado en el centro. Pudimos caminar desde nuestro hotel. Había una cola, pero la manejaron bien. Sólo esperamos dos o tres minutos para conseguir una mesa. La comida era excelente al igual que el servicio. Recomendamos encarecidamente esta ubicación. Muchas gracias.

Ya estuve antes y tuve una buena experiencia, pero esta vez el servicio fue sinceramente absurdo, me negaron la entrada porque iba a usar mi computadora portátil y es fin de semana. Lo entendería si hubiera sido la hora pico, pero faltaba 1 hora para el cierre y la mitad del café estaba vacío. Qué raro, no volveré.

Mi lugar favorito en Barcelona para ir. Cada vez que hay gente de visita, los llevo a este lugar y todos quedan muy felices e impresionados. La comida es excelente, sigo volviendo porque todavía hay muchas opciones en el menú que aún no he probado. + ¡lo personal es divertido y realmente agradable!

Buen café, buenos huevos, buenos precios, personal super amable y muchas opciones diferentes en un entorno agradable: ¡una muy buena opción de desayuno en el casco antiguo!

Fue muy agradable comer aquí. Pero el servidor con la cabeza en negrita era la persona menos amigable que he conocido. Comimos aquí varias veces y fue genial, ¡pero debido a este chico nos sentimos muy incómodos! Los otros servidores fueron muy agradables

Buena comida y ambiente. Fui allí varias veces y hay un servidor antipático y descortés que no debería estar trabajando con esa actitud en un restaurante / cafetería. (Hombre bajito negrita). ¡Todos los demás fueron súper amables!

Agradable cafetería tranquila sin mucho ajetreo donde también puedes sentarte afuera. Con capuchino muy sabroso y una gran selección de comida, también vegetariana.

Llaman a todo una bruschetta o un brioche mientras que es solo un pan simple. Pedimos diferentes platos, uno con tostadas y el otro con bruschetta y obtuvimos lo mismo. Además es demasiado caro

The café was recommended as one of the best cafés to study at. However, when I went their on a Saturday, I was told that only reading was allowed during weekends and studying with a computer wasn't. I was rather shocked, considering that it was my intention to also have Brunch there and therefore contribute to their sales. Very disappointing.

Food tasted good, but the burger didn't feel complete with just a bit of salad and some orange puree in a pot.

Not friendly to laptop users on the weekend that I went. It would have been nice if that was advertised somewhere!

3.9 - 4.1 - Trendy breakfast - brunch local popular with digital nomads and foreigners. Industrial design inside and a nice terrace outside.

Service is brisk and friendly (for Barcelona). English spoken. (you wont find many locals here.) I see many comments about rude service here - I personally have had no problems.

Food is somewhat overpriced lowlevel international brunch fare.
I have had eggs benedict twice here. The first time very good, the second - although the egg was done to perfection -the bacon was overcooked, the bread a little hard and everything was swamped with an awful sauce.
Coffee is a little better than local bars.

In resumen - Good for a coffee outside - early morning as it gets very crowded (many tourist apartments and air bnb nearby).

Pedí un café con leche, y me pusieron básicamente un vaso de leche con un poco de café, la sorpresa el precio. 2.20€

Food is very average and the staff is extremely rude. Also they leave people to wait in line (for a long time) while there is plenty of space inside, makes no sense

Ate breakfast here almost everyday for 10 weeks.try the Chia pudding & Muesli/fruit/yogurt.

Pésima atención aunque el lugar es bonito. Mi primera reseña negativa motivada por el mal momento que nos hicieron pasar a mi y a mi familia. Acabamos cancelando todo y retirandonos del sitio. No lo recomiendo.

I love Federal and have tried all three locations. The service at this one isn't great, unfortunately. The food is still good and the coffee is great.

Adorable indoor-outdoor seating area! And loved how seriously the host took mask wearing. Really enjoyed an oat milk latte!

Really nice space and food, they put sugar syrup in the coffee without asking which it doesn't need but other than that great place

The place is nice, but some people of the staff is really rude, one of the guys was basically speaking about me on spanish thinking that I don't understand him, although I did. Also the wifi in the second room is really slow. Also I don't recommend it if you want to talk on skype with someone, (just in case)! The connection in the main room is also not good for these purposes. Food and drinks are good

One of my favourite place in Bcn. Enjoyed a Cafe con leche with a friend of mine for a long time without any problems last night.:)

Ciao oggi 11 ottobre 2018 con mia moglie sono entrato ha fare colazione all'italiana. Che giustamente (sbaglio io con la tradizione) comunque locale molto bello nel centro storico di Barcellona. Musica sotto fondo molti ragazzi che studiano. E altri mangiano piatti di carne uova a verdure e degustando succhi di arancia. E caffè americano. Io erroremente chiesto il mitico cappuccino all'italiana. Comunque bello lo consiglio.

Great space. Good place to break up the usual light or sweet European breakfast with a fat bacon and egg roll with onion jam and hp.

A million times better than that overhyped Satans cafe. Set up for coworking and laptops along with a great tea and coffee selection and amazing, really truly amazing food, all services quick with a smile and great prices. 10/10.

I was looking for a quiet place for doing some work on my laptop and this cafe was just what I needed. Warm design and the area where is located is so chic. The staff is friendly and WiFi speed is acceptable.

Apenas dos camareras para atender a todo el mundo un sábado por la tarde. Por tanto estrés y mal rollo. De locos. El café bueno.

Buenisimo el café, los dulces y los sándwiches. Localización perfecta. Local muy agradable, igual que el servicio. Muy recomendable!

This is a new review. Been here again after more than one year and this place is getting worse. Slooooow service, has not improved at all; bad food and expensive. Had the toast with hummus and avocado and ordered some dukka. Too much toasted, hummus couldn’t taste anywhere and dukka did not taste like it. That and a coffee for 12€. Not worth it, at all. Am changing the stars, from3 to 1, and leaving the first review below.

I am putting 3 star just for the food! Slow service, bad one. Too relaxed waitresses, like they are doing a favor serving you! It's not the first time I notice and point out the bad services, also in TripAdvisor. Also anytime I go seems price go up. Too noisy sometime.

I just arrive in Barcelona from Montreal, I had a shorty night flight with no sleep, this place was nearby my guesthouse, soon as I enter the really cool waitress came say hi and she was super friendly and calm, I love her vibe and the calm vibe of the place. I ordered an almond milk latte and scramble eggs, gluten free bread and sage potatoes. I’m so glad thu have options for my allergies! Love this place

Decent coffee, ok prices. Very nice and friendly staff BUT place is totally understaffed and even though they are working hard, they simply lack manpower, causing very long wait times. They need to realize that speed is one of the most important aspects of service industry.

We went here specifically to work, enjoy coffee and have a bite. The cafe has a large table dedicated to people who will be on their laptops, but when we arrived the large table was full. When we pulled out our laptops we were told we couldn't, we had to go sit at the large table. We told them it's full, they wouldn't budge so we left immediately. So disappointing, the attitude of the staff was rude.

Have eaten here twice for breakfast. Eggs benidect and smokes trout omelet. Eggs cooked to perfection. Service friendly. They have outdoor tables. Highly recomend.

Nice place, but service was terrible. Had to ask 3 times for my missing drink and then they gave me something cold that had been sitting around for a while. 60 mins to get two coffees.

Wide open space with thoughtful design throughout. They have a great patio in the front with plenty of seating in a courtyard than has sun protection for most of the day.

I only had the coffee but they serve as a traditional restaurant where you sit to order rather than at the counter like most coffee shops. Coffee was a medium roast, well balanced with a light acidity. Safe for all ages. Barista approved
