En cada país que visito, mi novio y yo tenemos que hacer una clase de cocina. Me alegro de haber encontrado GAB Lab. A los dos nos encantan las paellas y estábamos muy emocionados de poder aprender y cocinar una en otro lugar que no sea España.

Se incluye un breve recorrido por el mercado de la Boquería, que creo que debería haber sido mucho más largo, especialmente por el precio. Sin embargo, la clase de cocina lo compensó. El estudio está situado en un callejón a la vuelta de la esquina del Palau Guëll y Las Ramblas. Nos lo pasamos genial con el cofre y los participantes de todo el mundo.

La paella que hicimos esta noche fue la mejor paella que comimos en toda España, así que eso habla por sí solo. Definitivamente lo recomiendo a cualquiera que busque una gran noche de fiesta. Usted no será decepcionado.

Soy una cocinera terrible. Lo quemo todo. Estaba de visita en Barcelona y decidí tomar una clase de preparación de paella para aprender a hacer una paella auténtica y este era el lugar para ir. Simone llevó a mi clase al mercado a comprar mariscos y nos hizo cocinar la paella mientras él supervisaba. Lo hizo parecer muy simple y una vez que lo haces en clase y ves lo fácil que es, te dices a ti mismo: "Puedo hacer esto". Y si eres un pésimo cocinero que quema todo como yo, no hay problema porque la paella está hecha para quemarse ligeramente en el fondo para darle ese sabor auténtico y crujiente.

Esta fue una experiencia súper divertida. Simón es increíble. La paella estuvo magnífica. Gracias.

Had a great experience in the Seafood Paella cooking class. Really enjoyed trip to the market to pick our fresh seafood. Also it was so great that it was practical and we learnt tips and tricks to prepare the seafood properly and how to cook it well.

Amazing experience! We had a small group (7 total) so it was a really nice and intimate setting - chef Gabriel was very friendly and knowledgeable - from shopping the boqueria for ingredients to preparing the paella as a group, my boyfriend and I loved this class and highly recommend it. The class is 3 hours long but the time flew by as we were enjoying it so much! Also, I am 7 months pregnant and appreciate that there was a non alcoholic sangria available so I didn’t feel left out:). The paella was delicious btw! Thank you Gastronomic Arts!

Great experience with Chef Gabriel! Introduced us to the importance of paella in the Spanish culture, took us on a quick trip to La Boqueria market to buy the freshest ingredients, then back to the kitchen where we all partipated in cleaning, preparing, and cooking the paella. Literally the best paella we've ever eaten! Along with the paella Chef Gabriel also provided tapas and some delicious sangria. Took into consideration anybody who might have food allergies, as well as non-alcoholic sangria for those of us who don't drink. At the end you do get the recipe so you can try to make it at home. Thank you, Chef!

This was a fun experience! Some of our group was skeptical but everyone ended up enjoying it. Gabriel took us to the market to buy fresh seafood, we came back and had some tapas and sangria while he prepped the kitchen. He then had the group prepare the seafood while teaching us how to handle each ingredient. We then all gathered around the big paella pan and step by step made paella, which was delicious - the best we had throughout our stay in Spain. Thank you, Gabriel for a fun afternoon!

Highlight of our time in Barcelona! I highly recommend GAB. We still remember the umami taste of the crispy rice at the bottom of the pan. Gabrielle is a wonderful chef and person.

Great class. The Chef is wonderful. He answered all our questions and told us the full history of the dish. We talked about food dishes from around the world. I thoroughly enjoy the stop at the market place. Our paella was fantastic too.

I took a seafood paella cooking class with Chef Gabriel and thoroughly enjoyed the experience! I’m not much of a cook myself, but was patiently taught how to prep and cook the entire dish, along with the house sangria. A fun experience and I’m looking forward to taking any future cooking classes Gabriel has to offer! Would recommend this experience if you want to learn more about paella, the cooking process and also eat some of the best paella you’ve ever had!

We often take cooking classes when we visit otther countries, states and/or places. It is always enjoyable, and we learn a lot about the places we are visiting. It is certainly more interesting and fun than visiting churches and museums.

This one is the best we have ever taken. It was hands on and included tapas, paella and sangria. It was the best 3 hours of our transatlantic cruise. We highly recommend when in Barcelona, Spain to take this particular class. Gabriel is a great instructor, he is friendly and knowledgeable and even showed us many new cooking techniques and shortcuts. Oh, before I forget he is also the most inexpensive of all paella cooking classes in Barcelona.
