They went above and beyond for me — found a pair of shoes that wasn’t in my size in this location, and they coordinated a pair to be delivered onsite for me from another location in the area within minutes. They have the cutest, real leather shoes, wonderful craftsmanship, handmade in Spain. So incredibly comfortable! Sylvia was absolutely amazing! I bought a pair in blue and went back to get a second in burgundy two days later.

Love Love Love their shoes! I purchased my first 2 pairs of espadrilles here and the quality is AMAZING! Customer service was first rate. They let me video how to lace them properly. Prices are very reasonable too! I will definitely be back if I get to go to Barcelona again. If not, I’m purchasing online!

Se ha descosido la zapatilla nueva al dar unos pocos pasos y cuando he ido a la tienda a preguntar si se podía hacer algo, la empleada intransigente dijo que no porque estaban usadas… la suela estaba nueva porque apenas había dado unos pocos pasos con las espadrillas estas! PÉSIMA EXPERIENCIA!

Have returned to Barcelona in September 2021 and stopped in to see what’s new. I’m 187cm tall and have feet “in proportion” to my height (aka long and skinny). Staff suggested two different styles (a slip on and a wedge) that are both comfortable and stylish. So much that I bought them both. It’s not easy finding shoes to fit but I’m 2/2 (or rather 4/4 if you count all four pairs I have bought here)! I’ll definitely stop in when we return!

I did an Air BNB online experience with Luis and Kathe and it was wonderful! Both were so friendly and really went out of their way to make the whole session fun and interesting. I especially loved learning the history of the espadrille shoes.

I had emailed Luis beforehand about upgrading my sandals and he was so gracious and happy to accommodate my request. I enjoyed the session so much I ended up purchasing two pairs of shoes!

Thank you again for a wonderful experience, I highly recommend it to anyone looking to try something new and different.

We did a virtual experience with Handmade Avarcas and Espadrilles and I cannot recommend them highly enough! Luis and Kathe were incredibly engaging and fun, super knowledgeable about both the history and production of espadrilles, and helped us each create beautiful shoes that they are shipping over to us all the way in the US. They did such a nice job that the experience didn't feel virtual at all. This was a perfect team building activity, and would also be a great thing to do on your own or with friends. Give it a go - you'll love it!

Never imagine that buy shoes could be so funny, if you are in Barcelona you must visit them, they have all the traditional shoes, full of handmade espadrilles, also you can personalize them, and the girls are so kind and funny they make you laugh and dance before you leave. I went with my mom and it was a really good experience with the girls at the store they're super friendly, they also explained us the history of the shoes that they have which is very interesting we definitely enjoyed visiting hand made?

I wanted to buy Avarcas while I was in Barcelona. After trying many at different stores, I decided to go with these because they are so comfortable. They use some kind of padding on the bottom which makes them different from others. Authentic and made from real leather! So happy with my purchase!

This is the best shop to go to in Barcelona for espadrilles, hands down! Luis answered any questions I had and had great recommendations. Their shoes are very stylish and they’re up to date with the latest trends! I would also recommend to take their espadrille workshop- I got to take home a pair of shoes I made on my own!

The employees at this store (Sonia in particular!) are very friendly and helpful. The products are beautiful and well made. Great selection, but even if you don’t find the perfect shoe for you on display they will make customizations for pickup within the hour. Awesome business and I hope to be back someday on another visit to Barcelona.
