Harlem Jazz Club

¡Tremenda banda en vivo! Tocó algunas melodías fabulosas y, en general, fue un lugar fantástico para vibrar. Buen descanso del ajetreo y el bullicio de los clubes nocturnos.

Bonito lugar y Gin & Tonics masivos!

Gran banda con una gran interpretación. Realmente es imprescindible para cualquier viaje a Barcelona.

Los conciertos de Harlem son muy buenos, con músicos de calidad. Pero hoy quiero avaliar la sala. La música ambiente que tocaba antes del concierto dia 14/06/23 estaba fatal. Tan fatal que casi nos fuimos. Es importante mantener la calidad y estilo musical de las bandas que ahí tocan. Las sillas podrían ser más confortables, se que es caro cambiar, pero algo a pensar en el futuro. Una decoración más de Speakeasy tb seria interessante.

Buen sitio para escuchar música. En el concierto que vi había bastante gente hablando mientras oía el concierto y nadie les llamó la atención, fue algo incómodo

Cool spot. Was looking for a Manhattan but they they “don’t make mixed drinks, ” so we were a little disappointed. The show was great and we ended up with a bottle of cava and wine.

Valoración como músico de las partes positivas y negativas.
- positivas, es genial que apuesten por la música en vivo y se agradace la oferta cultural en vivo pese a todas las restricciones abusivas del ayuntamiento de Barcelona con clausurar cuantos más garitos de nuestra ciudad con musica en vivo mejor.
- La proximidad y acercamiento entre los músicos y el público
- Un lugar emblemático multicultural y con mucho encanto.

Cosas negativas.

- Nadie deberia ir a este local que se aprovecha del arte musical pagando una absoluta miseria a los artistas o grupos que pasan por ahi.
- Las condiciones con las que tocan los músicos es lamentable ya que en el escenario el calor es insoportable ya que apagan el aire acondicionado.
- El trato es pésimo por parte de los contratantes y de los camareros.

Un buen local para conciertos. Ahora que con la pendemia se empieza a disfrutar de música en directo es un sitio para tener en cuenta. Lastima que es con un aforo reducido y sin servicio de bar. Todo llegará y volveremos a disfrutar de estos locales al 100 X 100. Enhorabona. He disfrutado mucho. Gracias.

We visited Barcelona to watch the champions league match between Barca and City. My friend had booked this jazz club at night. I just walked into it without expecting anything. Its a very small club inside some street. But boy when the live music started it was so fricking awesome. That was my first jazz show but it was such an amazing experience. Totally loved the music and vibe of the club.

Great concert

The last night we spent in Barcelona it was time to go to a concert. We found this nice place, Harlem Jazz Club in the old town where the singer Sharifah Muhammad from San Diego performed with Chino Swingslide and his band. As far as we could hear from the musicians’ goodbye speech this was the first time the band plaid with Sharifah, but we could not have tell given the lively professional performance.

The concert started with I smell a rat, performed with just slightly better quality than that of Buddy Guy. Shortly thereafter Sharifah sang I’d rather go blind in a slight different version than by Etta James but the emotions and soul put into the singing was about one octave higher. I had not experienced kissing in the dark performed by other than Memphis Minnie, but the band really managed to re the rhythm of 50s magic performance. The small dancefloor in the nice venue was filled with hipshaking audience under the last song before the break.

Both Sharifah and the band connected well with the audience during the concert and no less during the break and afterwards.

The guitar play was exceptional and the vocals outstanding. While the bass and the drum really tied the music together Chino and Sharifah performed the first few songs after the break in a really nice duo version. Overall the concert was a real success to our lovely visit to Barcelona. I hope the band is able to visit and perform in Iceland someday, we have a better odds with them than with the Rolling Stones and possibly better more lively concert.

El trato cara al público de la señora que lo lleva deja mucho que desear.

La música fue de 10.

El sitio está bien, sin embargo, nos pareció algo cara la entrada, 10€ sin consumición. Fuimos un Sábado, había salsa en vivo, el grupo tocaba bien, pero para ser un concierto de salsa, el ambiente era algo soso, la sala estaba llena de sillas dejando poco espacio para bailar y demasiada luz. Hace años cuando cantaba Habana con Kola, no había sillas ni tanta luz, era mucho más divertido entonces.

Always excellent music at The Harlem.this is third time we've visited whilst on holiday great acts and very welcoming staff, perhaps on next visit to Barcelona 'Daniel' might even give me and guys a booking to perform!

Great atmosphere, some surprises when seemingly random visitors joined the session and improvisations went flying. Warm and open attitude to everyone.

Uno de los mejores clubes del barrio para escuchar Jazz en vivo, hace años que está, pero no había ido hasta ayer. Todo muy bien, la música, el ambiente y el trato de los camareros. Lo pase de Diez. Se lo recomiendo a todo el que le guste la buena música.

It was our first choice in Barcelona for a live music and we want to turn back. The bar is offering new band every evening.but every of them is unique and great mysicians band! Never regret! Music forever!

Brutal! Fuimos un viernes noche, tocaban swing y repetiría mil veces. El grupo que tocó en directo GENIAL

The place is run down and needs a make renovation. Personnel is, to use an euphemism, amateurish. I was there listening to the Swing Sister. The band was good but the "sisters" I hope they have a day job. Simply can't sing. Do not recommend it.

Un vespre fantàstic. Bona música i bona companyia. Públic cosmopolita, simpàtic i entès. Seria millor si hi hagués més taules i cadires més còmodes.

Harlem Jazz Club is a very cool place to go for a night out in Barcelona and enjoy some quality live music. The club has a hip vibe, full bar, nightly performances and a reasonable entry fee.

Si te gusta el jazz y todas sus variantes, este es tu sitio. Un local muy acogedor con una muy buena decoración y un servicio aceptable. Vale la pena ir los martes para asistir a las jam sessions. Muy recomendable!

La actuación de "Son de la Rambla" fue genial, muy divertida; sin duda volveremos. Como recomendación yo creo esos últimos sábados de final de mes que actúa este grupo de música cubana, se deberían desmontar la mayoría de mesas (normales para sesiones de jazz) para permitir que la gente pueda bailar mejor!

Buen local para escuchar buena música. Entrada sin consumición 10 €. El escenario pequeñito. El personal y su amabilidad no son precisamente los punto fuerte del local. Mucha clientela guiri. Ambiente desenfadado. Lo mejor la proximidad al escenario

El local es bonito, los músicos son fantásticos! Tanto los que suelen tocar allí como los participantes en la Jam session, si no fuera por la encargada del local. Actualmente, muchas personas evitan este lugar sólo y únicamente por evitar su mala leche gratuita. Es inaudito que este de cara al público.

Locale autentico. Per chi ama la musica. Bella atmosfera e personale gentile. Una pecca la poca scelta di birre ed in generale nel menù. Pubblico molto vario. Consigliato.

Un buen lugar para asistir a un concierto casi privado. No se trata de un local muy grande, música en vivo, te cobran entrada, por ejemplo, el sábado pasado, música cubana, 10 €, sin consumición. Un lugar aconsejable. Además, en mos alrededores, mucha oferta gastronómica para todos los bolsillos.

Bon tracte i bona música. Totalment recomanable, encara que no siguis amant del jazz com jo. Vam veure el grup del Xino i ens va agradar molt. Molt bons músics i ambient cosmopolita.

Fantàstica l’acollida per part del Harlem. Vam gaudir molt de poder-hi fer concert dins el marc del Festival Barnasants. Molt bon tracte i un ambient immillorable. És important valorar espai com aquests, que promouen i estimen la música en viu i tracten bé els artistes. Lia Sampai

Fabulous live show, the guys kicked it, pity there was not more attendees, anyway if there is some thing going on it is worth to check it.
