Tuvimos una comida excelente aquí con un vino delicioso y un servicio muy agradable. Pensándolo bien, ciertamente no es más caro que sus competidores cercanos y tiene una experiencia muy superior.

Lo clasificaría por encima de todos los demás restaurantes dentro de las dos bahías circundantes.

Lo recomendaré a mis amigos.

Lovely hidden gem. Well worth a visit. The signature dish, Rascassa (scorpion fish), was prepared over a wood fire and is the most delicious fish I’ve ever had. Excellent menu and wine list. We walked the coastal path from Sa Tuna in the evening. The walk was almost as charming as the restaurant.

Espectacular restaurante, lugar muy bonito, carta con muy buenos productos y muy buen servicio. Lo postres son una locura al igual que los platos. Muy buen servicio y amable, con buenas sugerencias de referencias.

Restaurante-Sauna por el mismo precio. En el patio a 35grados sin corriente de aire.
Pero.
Ojo al dato, tienen una terraza de p.m. Escondida con vistas impresionantes. Pero son 4 mesas y hay que reservar con antelación indicando terraza de arriba.
La experiencia no fue buena por culpa de un señor con barba poco preocupado por el bienestar de sus clientes. Dicho señor accedió a cambiarnos de mesa a la terraza sin parasol y de mala.manera, haciendo gala de muy mala leche.
En cambio, la comida muy buena y el servicio muy bien.
Precio excesivo para un local muy mal acondicionado.

Tenía este restaurante como si fuera un sueño de Ausonia, entre las nubes.

He vuelto por segunda vez y la experiencia no ha sido la misma, es normal.

Pedimos tartar de atún (20€), calamares a la romana (17€) y caldoso acompañados por un vino (23€) aparentemente el de la casa no me imagino cuanto cuesta el del vecino.

Bien pues el tártar no es ni de muy lejos el mejor que he probado. El atún me parecio poco fresco y lo digo con conocimiento pues trabajé de pescadero cuando era más joven. Los calamares con ese precio tendrían que ser una barbaridad de buenos y son pues bien, correctos.

Lo que si cabe destacar es el arroz caldoso, muy bueno me hizo recordar porqué volví.

En general, cuenta (107€/2pax) a mi parecer muy abultada para una comida buena, no exquisita.

We stayed four days at Sa Rascassa in early August and had the best of times in this super charming and cosy place! Smooth self check in with a personal handwritten letter awating on the bed with all information you need. Rooms are very stylish and with attention to details in color, design and with comfortable beds and a fresh bathroom. Great to have the bath towels and beach bag in the room. Love the patio outside the rooms - and the personal name signs outside of every door. The garden is so beautiful - to have breakfast, lunch and dinner there is just a bliss! Excellent food across all meals - highly recommend you to book your lunches/dinners on site! Oscar and his staff pays attention to details and accomodate every requirement you might have. Another nice service on site is the Drogueria - first night the restaurant was closed and then we were able to make GTs as night caps when returning from our dinner in Begur on the lovely terrace from the self serve bar. Much appreciated that Aiguafreda is just steps away to take a swim or walk the beautiful cliff side walk to Sa Tuna. We cannot wait to get back again! Thank you Oscar & Team!

Al restaurant hi he anat vàries vegades i mai m'ha decepcionat. No és barat, però la qualitat és excel·lent. El local molt acollidor, i la terrasseta preciosa, amb ombra fresca inclús a ple estiu. A més està ubicat just al costat de la platja d'Aiguafreda. El personal un 10, molt atents i agradables.

Gran descubrimiento! La verdad que íbamos mi mujer, mi hija de 11 meses y yo buscando un restaurante y dimos con este pequeño tesoro ubicado en la cala de aiguafreda y la verdad que quedamos más que encantados. La atención de 10 y la comida tanto los entrantes (navajas de Galicia y corazón de alcachofas con foie) como el arroz de carabineros fueron todo un acierto. Lo recomiendo al 100%. Gracias por todo y un fuerte abrazo!

The best seafood restaurant in Costa Brava! The rascassa fish is amazing, the creative pasta was divine. Superb hospitality

Beautiful location. Rooms have all the basic needs with a shared terrace outside. Onsite restaurant was really good. We would have eaten there the following night however it closes on Wednesdays.

This tiny hotel based above a charming small bay is absolutely perfect. It’s very simple, but tastefully decorated and designed, very comfortable bed, and there is incredible attention to detail. Good toiletries, umbrellas provided as soon as it rains, no boring check in and out (rooms left open for arrival), delicious and simple breakfast, and when you get to enjoying your birthday dinner on the last night - super delicious food. And all in all great value! It was very low season when I was there so not sure how it would be in the heaving hot summer. But for me, solo and spending most of the day out with my family who were staying nearby, or was more than perfect. Thank you to Oscar for your charm, help and beautifully understated welcome.

This was our third visit to Sa Rascassa, but the first in a few years for obvious reasons. Other than the tables being generously separated outside, nothing had, thankfully, changed. And the sun was again shining on our delightfully shaded table for two. The food was once again absolutely delicious and super fresh - all fish this time around. We had the Avancia 2020 Godello from Valdeorras as a treat to ourselves on our last day. Admittedly, the bill was about €20.00 more expensive than our previous visit, but this was expected given the market prices for fresh fish and the quality of the very fine wine. The service too was impeccable, warm, friendly and not in any way stuffy (there are no sprints to pour your wine - they just leave it up to you, thank goodness - and there are absolutely no lengthy explanations of the food you order, phew). Oscar, the owner, strikes the perfect balance of warmth of welcome and mutual gratitude, keeping things efficient and quietly personal. Sa Rascassa is a jewel of a restaurant on La Costa Brava and an absolute pleasure to revisit.

Incredible setting, food, wine and service.

We try and go to Sa Rascassa at least once on our annual holiday to the region and it's never disappointed. Personal favourites are the mussels, which are as fresh as any you will have, the Iberico Secret and Fionocchi pasta.

The wine list is significant and varied with great local wines.

Above all the setting and atmosphere. Beautiful yet calming and the service is friendly and spot on.

This is a real gem, and anyone I've recommended it to that's been lucky enough to visit agrees.

Highly recommend it.

De los mejores sitios en los que he comido en muchísimo tiempo… tanto la calidad de la comida, como el trato del personal, como el lugar, que es precioso. Sin duda para repetir 1000 veces más.

Excellent séjour. L'Hostal Sa Rascassa est un endroit magique, qu'on aimerait garder pour soi.
Les hôtes sont très attentionnés ainsi que tout le personnel. Les chambres ont beaucoup de charme. L'emplacement est très calme, avec un jardin arboré et une terrasse face à la mer. Comme certains commentaires l'indiquent, les tarifs peuvent sembler assez élevés pour le restaurant mais au vu de la qualité de la cuisine et des produits, c'est à tout fait justifié, (et c'est aussi conforme aux prix qui se pratiquent sur la Costa Brava et qui ont bien augmenté).
Nous avons été ravis de notre séjour.

El hotel tiene una situación privilegiada, con acceso directo a la cala, desde ella, hay ademas senderos para llegar a otras calas, asisa que hacer un paseo matutino o al caer la tarde es un privilegio. El personal muy atento, incluida Eli, que atiende las habitaciones El desayuno variado y muy bueno, la cama muy cómoda y el restaurante del hotel muy recomendable, con buenas vistas. Es un hotel para repetir.

Directe a l'experiència gastronòmica. Sense floritures, noms extranys ni anglicismes. L'experiència i l'artesania parlen per si soles.

Un rincón privilegiado de la Costa Brava acoge este interesante restaurante, en el que disfrutar de una cocina mediterránea hecha con mucho cariño y buenos productos. Terraza muy agradable.

La ubicacion es excelente y el trato de los camareros de 10, hay que remarcar el tema de los vinos, lo sirven a una temperarura no adecuada en el caso del vino blanco, al comentarlo, el dueño nos contesto que era un comentario muy tipico sin tan siquiera ofrecer una solucion. Por lo demás la terraza es ideal.

Bonita terraza de un Hotelito de Aiguafreda. La comida esta bastante bien elaborada, el personal es super atento y diligente, pero no le pongo 5 estrellas porque la carta es bastante justa y el precio excesivo para lo que ofrecen.

Mi mujer y yo visitamos Sa Rascassa para comer en el restaurante. Todo muy bien, el trato de todo el personal excelente (tuvimos un pequeño problemilla no relacionado con el restaurante y no dudaron en ayudarnos y solucionarnoslo), la comida muy rica y el lugar super agradable. Esperamos volver!

Restaurante idílico en la Costa Brava. Ambiente relajado, cuidado hasta el mínimo detalle. La comida buenísima, el producto es fresco y de calidad. Ideal para parejas que buscan un rincón romántico y que huyen de locales para turistas.

Comimos al restaurante del hostal Sa Rascassa. Buen ambiente, terraza bonita, carta bastante variada y equilibrada. Relación calidad precio razonable. El vino blanco que pedimos no llegó frío y al pedirle un cambio nos trajeron una cubitera explicándonos que todos los vinos tenían ésta misma temperatura. Muy ricos los postres.

Called for lunch on spec, I must say it was excellent, so good in fact we booked for a few nights later and are going to try and get time off and go and stay next year. I would recommend it. I would advise you to book. Superb.

We stayed for three nights in mid-September and wished we'd had longer. It's a beautiful and peaceful location, has a brilliant restaurant and lovely people running it. A little slice of paradise!

Lugar con encanto, comimos en la terraza, un riquisimo arroz caldoso y unos postres exquisitos. Los pescados son caros pero es lo que valen si los quieres frescos. Muy recomendable, volveremos seguro.

És el tercer any que tornem i com sempre sortim encantats de la cuina que ofereixen i sobretot el tracte rebut per part de l’Oscar i el seu equip. Plats elaborats amb afecte i amb materia prima de qualitat. No té preu sopar sota als arbres del jardí.
