Hotel Catalonia Born

Avoid this hotel, it’s extremely cold, room and floor is colder than outside, i got sick. I asked for higher floor, but no chance… it feels horrible to get sick during vacation. If a room is cold, hotel must not use that room to make money.

Personal amable, bonitas habitaciones, todo muy bien, buena experiencia. Me ha gustado mucho el desayuno y que incluya opciones veganas.

Accueil super, hôtel propre et beau. Les services (bar, piscine, salle de sport.) sont super aussi, digne d'un grand hôtel. Donc pour le prix autour de 100€ la nuit ça vaut le coup.
Petit dej' à 14€ mais c'est mérité, buffet de très bon produits et une carte chaude à volonté (oeufs, bacon.)

Inmejorable de ubicación, de trato del personal y una estancia en Barcelona que me ha dejado muy buen saber de boca

There is something missing in this hotel. But room, swimming pool are looking nice. Breakfast also good. Outside looking its not well identified as hotel.

Muy buen hotel, todo impecable, buen servicio. La unica pega es que no tiene parking propio, aunque te gestionan descuento con el Saba. Recomendable al 100 %

Nice rooms and a friendly staff. Everytime I left my room, my keycard stopped working. They kept blaming it on me having the card with my phone, which was not the case. Frustrating to have to have a new card made everytime I left the room.

The location of the hotel is pretty good and the standard is okay. However they were not even willing to lend me a towel to go to the beach or Gym. If I pay more than 200 Euros per night and they cannot even lend me a 5 Euro towel, this is the definition of bad service.

Staff was not helpful at all. I don’t remember ever having to discuss about minor things like this at any other hotel ever before.

We had a room in a great location with Metro near by. However, the Wi-fi was very intermittent and dropped quite often.

Depending on the person this could be a deal breaker, but their TVs are slightly outdated so you won't be able to do screen mirroring or use HDMI.

The hotel was pretty dated. It was clean and the staff was super friendly, but one big issue for us was that people clearly smoked in the rooms. Our room reeked of cigarette smoke and the hotel was fully booked so we couldn’t switch rooms. Idk if people were smoking in our room before we came (which I think they were since it was heavily perfumed and the window was open), or if the air condition was blowing smoke into our room, but we both got a headache from it.

L’hotel è molto bello, curato; sono tutti molto gentili. Le camere sono spaziose e confortevoli, purtroppo però il condizionatore gocciolava.

Do not stay at Hotel Catalonia Born. The location was perfect – tons of great restaurants/bars, reasonable walk to most attraction, mostly safe area. I would stay in the Born neighborhood again but avoid this hotel at all costs.

We had nothing but issues throughout our stay – dirty floors, roaches, rude staff. First, we had called a few weeks in advance to have a add a cot to one of our two rooms. Instead of just provided a cot free of charge in a double room, they upgraded and charged us for a triple room without explanation. Then on the day we arrived, the front desk allowed one of our guest to check into the wrong room which is frustrating since his name was not on the reservation. We get up to our double room and the floors are filthy – like take off your shoes and the bottom of your feet turn black. They did clean the floors after we ask, but it should not have been like that to begin with. After the first night, they move our guests in the triple room from the 6th to the 1st floor because of noise complaints. That’s fine because they were being disruptive, but the 1st floor room had roaches. When we told the front desk they said to us that they knew about them and that you had to be on the 2nd floor or higher to avoid the cockroaches…. So they move their room a second time two days later to another floor where there were still roaches. Their consolation was coupons for a free glass of wine at the hotel bar worth 4 euros…

Très bel hôtel. Les chambres très propres. Très bien placé dans le quartier Born. La piscine est très petite mais le solarium est quand même chouette.

The man at the front desk did not seem surprised or concerned, nor did he apologize.

Hôtel idéalement situé dans le Born, l'un des quartiers les plus vivants de Barcelone avec plein de bons restos, de bars et de boutiques. Hôtel confortable et propre, chambre spacieuse. J'y séjourne régulièrement et je ne suis jamais déçue.

Muy bien situado, muy acogedor y muy buen trato. Te invitan a meredenar todos los dias en su salón, ademas de a agua, café y té en la misma habitación

Un Hôtel bien situé à proximité de Arco des Trionpho. Parking centre ville. Chambres spacieuses et propre, piscine sur le toit et des espaces détente. Buffet petits déjeuners comme souvent en Espagne hyper complet.

El hotel parece pequeño pero por dentro es amplio. La localización es muy buena y las habitaciones modernas y cómodas. El desayuno me dejó sorprendido por su variedad y calidad. El personal muy atento. Merece la pena.

Hotel perfectamente ubicado en el centro de Barcelona. Atención al cliente maravillosa, todo el personal muy amables y simpáticos. Habitación espaciosa, moderna, limpia, camas cómodas y baño grande y bien distribuido. Sin duda repetiré.

Hotel bien situado en el Born, cerca de la Catedral, la Iglesia de San Pere, el Arco de Triunfo.el Parc de la Ciutadella y a 10-15 minutos el Mar (la Barceloneta), tiene una parada de Metro en el Arco de Triunfo (5 minutos del Hotel), el personal que trabaja allí muy amable y servicial y la limpieza excelente, viaje con mi pareja por asuntos privados pero si puedo volveré, ah! Se me olvidaba tiene piscina en la terraza

Nice rooms. Great service. A bit disappointing that the rooftop pool was under repairs and remodeling as it was a draw for us to book. The location is close enough to everything in Born to walk and closer to the park. The free coffee and tapas was a nice touch as well! Would have given four if wasn’t for rooftop repair.

Después de muchos meses volví al Catalonia Born. Un fantástico hotel. Y el maravilloso personal.

Estuve el fin de semana del puente y quede encantado, viaje junto a dos compañeros por trabajo y el trato fue perfecto. La habitación muy limpia y cómoda, una ubicación perfecta para conocer Barcelona a pie y con un personal muy amable y agradable.

Excelente servicio. Camas amplias y cómodas, habitaciones silenciosas y el personal sumamente amable hacen que ka, estadía sea un placer

Great hotel in a quite location but still near to lots of cafes and bars. Super place across the road for brunch.

Nice hotel located close to the metro station and Arc de Triomf. The staff was warm and helpful. They had free snacks on the ground floor in the evenings, although there were hardly/very limited vegetarian options.

Location is ok (15 min from center). Hotel is clean. Pool picture is a bit misleading (smaller than appears). No gym.
