Hotel Catalonia Catedral

Elegimos este hotel principalmente por su ubicación, que es realmente excelente. Está en la Ciudad Vieja (barrio gótico). Estamos muy satisfechos con nuestra elección. El personal fue extremadamente amigable y servicial. La cama era probablemente la más cómoda que he tenido en un hotel. El desayuno es fantástico. Accidentalmente rompimos un vaso en nuestra habitación y pedimos ayuda al servicio de limpieza. Lo estuvieron en minutos y fueron muy serviciales y amables. Lo único que no nos gustó fue la televisión. La única manera de descubrir cómo usarlo era vinculando su teléfono/tableta y usándolo para aplicaciones (por ejemplo, Netflix). Esto era engorroso y había que hacerlo cada vez que querías usar el televisor. No pudimos encontrar manera de ver la televisión local o el cable. Aparte de esto, estuvimos muy contentos con nuestra estadía y nos hospedaremos allí nuevamente cuando regresemos a Barcelona.

Excelente hotel, muy bien ubicado en el centro del centro gótico.

Habitaciones de buen tamaño, limpias y bien equipadas.

Personal maravillosamente servicial y amable.

Excelente ubicación, gran salón con piscina privada. ¡El desayuno también está por encima de la media!

El personal es encantador y todos son serviciales y amables. Gran lugar para alojarse en el centro de todo. Restaurantes, comedores, tours y compras. Tienen un bar y un desayuno. Diré que este lugar muestra cortesía y atención especial a cada cliente (al menos a cada cliente del que fui testigo). Si alguna vez vuelvo a España.los buscaré.

Un poco alejado de la calle principal pero en una excelente ubicación. Tuvimos que esperar unas horas para nuestra habitación, pero fuera de eso, la habitación y el servicio fueron excepcionales. Me alegro de que este sea el lugar donde elegimos quedarnos y te aconsejo que te quedes aquí también. Dentro de una milla de lo mejor que Barcelona tiene para ofrecer.

Pasé 2 noches aquí con nuestros 'niños' mayores (10,16,19)
Tenían una habitación triple superior y nos dimos el lujo de una habitación de lujo con piscina privada y terraza. Fue excelente, la mejor habitación que he tenido. Enorme baño con bañera y una enorme ducha separada.
Buen aire acondicionado.
Algunos toques encantadores.nuestra primera noche con dulces y jugo para los niños y galletas/cava para nosotros.
El personal fue excepcional, desde los encantadores porteros hasta la recepción, hasta el increíble personal del bar de cócteles en el bar de la azotea, el personal del desayuno, el servicio de limpieza, todos fueron amables y serviciales.
Llegamos antes de lo planeado y nos acomodaron, ordenaron un taxi cuando nos fuimos.
La ubicación era perfecta para explorar la ciudad. Ahora tenemos un nuevo hotel favorito y planeamos regresar nuevamente.
Si estás pensando en reservar, no lo dudes. ¡vale la pena darse un capricho en las habitaciones con terraza!

Bonito hotel con decoración estilo catedral.
La piscina es bonita pero no hay sombrilla. El personal es muy acogedor y da buenos consejos. Muy buen restaurante en el hotel. No hay servicio de habitaciones por la noche, pero hay un restaurante de comida rápida cerca.

Staff was welcoming. Flexible with check ins and check out. Was able to hold our luggage securely. Clean rooms. Comfortable beds. Glass of cava was given upon arrival. Great location.around the corner from the gorgeous cathedral. Will definitely stay here if we come back to Barcelona.

Una excelente elección en pleno centro de Barcelona.
Está ubicado a metros de la catedral lo que lo hace perfecto para llega a todos lados caminando.
La habitación que nos tocó era muy amplia y cómoda. Tenía una cama King y dos camas individuales tipo litera.
Estuvimos sólo una noche y no llegamos a conocer el resto de las instalaciones.
La atención más que excelente.
La verdad que el hotel en gral nos sorprendió para bien. No esperábamos tanto y a un precio tan conveniente.

We really enjoyed our stray at Hotel Catalonia Catedral. The staff were fantastic and the location was perfect for us.

Great hotel set in the heart of the Gothic quarter which is really close to Barcelona cathedral (not to be confused with Sagrada Familia), 10 minutes walk to Picasso museum, and 5 minutes to las Ramblas. There are also some really nice restaurants nearby. The staff are all friendly at the hotel and our room was particularly quiet at night time. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a short break in Barcelona

Stayed here with my company as a business trip and can very honestly one of the best hotels I’ve stayed at in all of my travelling experience. Staff is absolutely amazing, so kind and very very helpful, they’re language skills are also really good! I try to practice speaking Spanish and they’re very patient with me which I appreciate as well. The reception is always very welcoming at night too, loved chatting with him!
At the bar, very lovely people, they have many tips to give and love a chat as well. Breakfast, other than the amazing food, the staff again really nice!
The only downside is that I have to go home!

When I say it’s the worst service, I really mean it. Service is the opinion of a person’s past experience so it can vary and if I had a difficult time with the service then I know the majority of people will regret not listening to this review. Luggage chap reminded of Manuel from Fawlty Towers which is the hotel/ hostel’s only saving grace.

Un super hôtel qui mérite ses 4 étoiles! Excellemment placé dans Barcelone, ouvert à toutes heures pour les retours tardifs, très calme et avec le confort d’un 4 étoiles. Petit-déjeuner buffet excellent et très bien approvisionné, mangeant pas de sucres j’ai trouvé tout ce qu’il me fallait. Le personnel est attentif et aux soins. Nous y sommes restés une semaine, nous recommandons +!

We were quite let down by our stay here. The stay started off poorly with a rude receptionist who did not even greet us, just demanded our name.

The room had not been cleaned to a high standard with dust on the bed side tables, hair in the bathroom and the dirtiest door I'd ever seen in a hotel. Our bathroom amenities were empty from the start.

We were woken up every morning to housekeeping literally screaming to each other outside of our room.

The pool needs a bit of a scrub, but the pool area was very nice & the saving grace were the beds - which are very comfortable.

The good: It's a very central location, close to the hustle and bustle in the Gothic quarter, with great bar staff and a nice rooftop pool area. Also great tips from David when it came to exploring the city and its beaches!

The bad: I'm used to pricey hotels but this one takes it a bit too far. Full payment upfront is both unusual and makes me suspicious of quality in the stay. Confirmed when we got to our room. The room wasn't very clean (fingerprints on dressing doors, hair on the shower wall and bathroom floor) and empty bodywash and shampoo containers.

The ugly: don't expect to sleep in for very long. We were awoken twice around 9: 30am by housekeeping staff having a casual shouting match outside our door.

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights and had the room with a private terrace and pool. Everything was very nice! The location is perfect and although set in a busy area you don’t have to worry about the noise because the room is well isolated and we didn’t hear a thing from the street. The staff was so friendly and helpful, just a delight to talk to! Always ready to help, always smiling and checking is everything is ok. The breakfast was a buffet with good, fresh food. The private pool was constantly heated so even though we were staying there in March it was very fun to use it. The bed was comfortable as well and the room is spacious enough and in the bathroom we had both a shower and a bathtub. Everything was very clean! Amenities were replenished daily. I fully recommend!

From the moment I entered the hotel the whole staff has been friendly and accommodating. Room service is great and the space is clean.

Amazing service. I wish I could have stayed her for more than 2 days but I will save it for next time. Definitely coming back.

Room 256 is very bad. It is like an extintion but I recommend that you see the room before you take it in this hotel.

Hotel muy céntrico, excelente desayuno, con una gran atención del personal y disponibilidad de entradas a las mejores atraaciones.

Lo mejor: la situación
Lo peor: desayuno. No merece nada la pena, te cobran casi 20€/persona y todos los días colocan los mismos croissants secos de hace días, además de no tener variedad de bollería.
Mermelada no tiene monodosis, un tarro con cuchara para que todos cojamos del mismo bote.
La fruta malísima, muy vieja.
Cafetera estaba rota y el personal del desayuno no está atento.

Phenomenal location for tourism. Sink clogged & lights broke in room. Staff fixed the issue after being asked twice; however no real customer assistance otherwise.

Bon accueil, hôtel idéalement situé entre la place de la Catalogne et la Cathédrale, au cœur du quartier gothique. Parking public à 100 m, en accord avec hôtel! Équipe très sympathique, à l’écoute et réactive. Restaurant sur place, bon rapport qualité prix.

The hotel is beautiful. Great for business great for pleasure. But overall a fantastic place to stay. Right in the centre of Barcelona so you can walk everywhere.the restaurant has incredible food.and the rooftop pool is a great place to get a small view of the city (and get some sun).
The rooms are rather spacious and the staff are very accommodating and helpful.

Location, location, location backed up by friendly staff, great rooms (we had a family room) and great bathrooms (a good shower is VERY important to me). Complementary drinks on arrival are a nice touch.

3 star at best but charging 5 star prices. I paid an eye watering €15.7 for one gin and tonic. An absolute rip off. It was a single measure! The barman was embarrassed when i challenged him.
The hotel is ok but this has certainly left a sour taste.
Will not use this hotel chain again.

El restaurant fa un bon menú migdia a 20 euros aprox. Curiosa decoració del celobert interior evocant l'arquitectura gòtica barcelonina

L'hotel è bellissimo, confortevole e situato in zona centrale.vicinissimo alla rambla, alla diagonale e nel centro del barrio gotico! Le stanze sono ampie e dotate di tutti i servizi! Il bagno grande con vasca e doccia! Insomma, ottimo.

Soggiorno molto confortevole. Ambienti comuni e camere pulitissimi, attenzioni al cliente (la sera veniva anche offerto un cioccolatino). Posizione strategica per visitare la città. Prezzi adeguati

Sauber, großes Zimmer (Superior), Kaffeemaschine und Wasserkocher auf dem Zimmer, sehr gutes Frühstücksbuffet, sehr zentral, sehr freundliches Personal.

Todo genial, personal muy atento, habitación espectacular con terraza privada, situado en la plaza de la Catedral, perfecto.

Situado en el bonito barrio gótico del casco antiguo, al lado de la catedral, entre callejuelas peatonales y no. El hotel es precioso por dentro y por fuera mantemiendo su esencia de edificio antiguo, totalmente reformado con la modernidad y comodidades (sin excentricidades) que caracteriza a los hoteles Catalonia ubicados en edificios señoriales de antaño. Trato excelente. Totalmente recomendable.
