Hotel Catalonia Magdalenes

Absolutely loved staying at the Catalonia. Spent a lot of time looking for a good location and hoped that we chose one online. It surpassed my expectations absolutely fantastic location. Love to stay in small hotels where you are an actual person that's known when you walk through the lobby and this fulfilled that box. The front desk staff couldn't have been more gracious or helpful and they knew us by name. The small spa area was wonderful. I highly recommend this wonderful hotel

I looooooooovee this place! Being my first time in Barcelona and Europe in general, the staff, Adam and Iddah, showed me love. From handling simple request like water to recommendations of what to eat, they accommodated me. The room itself was clean, all the amenities worked and it is centrally located-15 mins walk to everything I needed.

My partner and I enjoyed Catalonia Magadelenes immensely! The rooftop terrace and amazing customer service added to our experience! Shout out especially to Adam who helped as a friendly guide to Barcelona’s best recommendations for activities and good food! 10/10 would stay here again!

Ottimo hotel, tutto molto ma molto bello. Se tornerò a Barcellona sarà certamente il mio hotel. Ottimo breakfast, ottime camere, ottimo personale e molto preparato e gentile. Marco si è preso cura di noi e ci ha servito degli ottimi cappuccini.

ADAM & THE FRONT DESK staff is amazing group of people! Perfect location and everything is in walking distance! Def would recommend for any traveler!

Great location. The room was clean and comfortable. Marco at the Rooftop Bar was awesome! Very helpful and knowledgeable about the beer I had, and Barcelona in general. The front desk staff, were also very friendly and helpful. Giving directions and information, and assisting with tickets to the sights.

Si te alojan en la última planta, no aceptes salvo que hayan solucionado el problema de ruido permanente las 24h. Es una pena que alojen clientes en esa zona a pesar de ello, la pela es la pela, pero no es la mejor estrategia para expandir la cadena de hoteles.

Fully functional, good location, shopping area. Close to every famous places. Stuff really helpful. Room clean

We still have a few nights left at this magnificent hotel and I will right in full detail our experiences before I leave - But if you are looking right now, STAY HERE. I just got back for walking miles around this beautiful city; completely wiped out, went straight to the elegance 9th floor with the pool and bar and was greeted once again by “Miriam” and genuine and kind smile. She knew exactly what I wanted before I even sat down - please stay tune for my final review so that I can thank and include each person by name - you guys rock!

Hôtel magnifique super accueil merci à Justin pour son français parfait, il nous a conseillé et aidez durant notre séjour.

Chambre spacieuse très bien équipée, lit 1m80 cm, petit balcon, très belle.

Piscine et roof top géniale prix au bar normal service et personnel au top bravo merci spa agréable et petite salle de sport.

Hôtel propre et très bien entretenu personnel très agréable.

En bref nous avons passé un super séjour nous reviendrons

Wonderful stay here, the front desk staff went above and beyond with helpful tips and great recommendations. Rooms were very comfortable and clean, great facilities and a very relaxing pool area with attentive bae staff. Absolutely recommend! Thanks again for taking care of us on our honeymoon gang:)

Ducked in to this hotel to find WiFi for a meeting and found myself staying the whole afternoon. Really friendly staff, slick interior. Bar reasonably priced and gorgeous plunge pool with great views. Will come back to stay.

Amazing location! The hotel is beautiful and the staff is friendly. The rooms are spacious and clean and so was the bathroom. The pool area is great and pretty quiet (we went in May and there was always a bed by the pool).

The major issue we had, which was quite a big disappointment, was that the room (we paid 300€ a night) did not provide any small lotion, or slippers or bathrobe… or even small water. Which is standard and minimum requirement for a hotel of this price.
Our room was also located on the 5th floor (just underneath the pool area) and chairs on the terrace were moved very early in the morning which woke us all up. This wasn’t great.

Loved the location! Loved the service! Staff is very kind and helpful and the breakfast is delicious. The bed however not so great. Pretty hard and plastic feel matras and pillows. The shower was cold and hot, adjusting itself. We had a few ants in the room as well. The pool is small and the pool on the rooftop is cold. The cocktails however are very nice and the food is very tasteful! Staff has a lot of knowledge about what they do and personally I think that is something that gives this hotel it's heart. Loved to stay here.

Excellent Location & best value hotel I could find in Barcelona.after much research. Modern & clean as only built in 2016. Staff friendly & helpfully. Breakfast expensive (Between£20-£25 depending on exchange rate) especially if you are vegetarian/just happy to have a basic breakfast.plenty of cafes within 2-8 minutes walk. Look out for the word, Desayuno (breakfast). Biggest bonus at hotel is the FREE tapas (mini filled wraps & bagettes), soft drinks, pasties, pasta/leafy, salads, yoghurt, fruit, cakes, tea, coffee, crisps, nuts (approx 2pm-11pm). Available either on roof-top/reception bar area depending on time of year. Only downside was that it wasn't obvious what was savoury vegetarian food was or the ingredients.very important if you have any food intolerance also. Another plus is the FREE toiletries including shaving items for men & a small comb too. Right in front of the hotel is the police station. We were there in Oct. 2017.bang in the middle of catalonia independent crisis.plenty of police presence but it didn't bother us. If anything we felt even safer & relaxed.

We had an incredible stay and everything was perfect. The staff was so friendly and professional. We are even considering to book for our trip to Berlin the same Hotel. Absolutely recommended!

Many details are fine and most of the hotel felt high quality, but the service left a very bitter taste. When we checked in we were told that breakfast would be included, but the next morning after we had just ordered a fried egg we were told we would be charged 36€. They denied giving us the wrong information, which felt like being gaslit. Also, as we were going up to our room after feeling tired, one of the staff held his arm in the elevator to continue smalltalk, in an uncomfortably pushy way. The room's shower was great, but the rooftop pool is not heated and the spa's hot tub was lukewarm.

Propre, calme, bien situé, personnel très sympa et attentif aux clients. Jacuzzi et hammam agréable. Bon rapport qualité/prix.

Je suis très déçu de cette hôtel je suis venu 48 heures pour me reposer j’ai payé deux cents euros la nuit et je n’ai même pas eu le droit au spa qui était en maintenance mais si c’est pour faire de la maintenance quand les clients sont présents à quoi ça sert de proposer des spa à vos clients j’ai l’impression que l’on m’a volé c’est un scandale! Très agréable séjour. Chambre très cocoon. Hôtel très bien situé à côté de la place Catalunya. Roof top piscine avec joli vue sur les toits et spa au sous sol avec jacuzzi et hammam. Un petit déjeuner 4*! Un seul bémol, chambre donnant dans la cour de l'hôtel, vis à vis et très sombre. Un grand merci à Laura pour tous ses bons plans, nous nous sommes régalés!

I was here for 3 days and it was a pleasure. They cleaned the room twice a day and the facilities were amazing. It's very close to the Ramblas etcetera. Very friendly staff. 5 stars for me. Thanks for the great stay!

Ho soggiornato 4 giorni in questo hotel meraviglioso, la reception e tutto lo staff gentili e disponibili, il buffet della colazione buono e con ottima scelta, e poi avere lo chef davanti che ti prepara qualsiasi cosa è fantastico.

We had a great stay. Nice and stylish hotel, a bit expensive, but great location. The staff was always friendly as well as helpful. If I need anything, they get it or help me find it. Would highly recommend this hotel.

We had a positive experience, the hotel is very well located near plaza de catalunya and the ramblas, and near the museums.our room was spacious and elegant, so was the bathroom, without a bidet which is truly a barbaric habit, it's hard to accept and understand how can so many people live without such a hygienic fundamental device.breakfast was good and proposed a wide choice.on the upper terrace there is a pool that in summer must be pleasant.

Great hotel in Gothic section of Barcelona. Very convenient to Cathedral but a bit quieter since two blocks back. Very polite and friendly staff. Great pool and patio bar on the roof.

Cela fait plusieurs fois que nous venons dans cet hôtel et que dire:
c'est juste le meilleur hôtel que nous ayons fait à Barcelone personnel aux petits soins, chambre propre on pourrait se rouler par terre.que des points positifs pour rien nous ne changeront d'établissement.

Une relogement suite à un pb de location pour le 31 décembre à Barcelone.et pas n importe quel relogement! Chambre top, personnel super souriant et présent, le snack original et alléchant, les pa est petit mais nous a été très utile le 1er pour nous remettre de notre soirée! Tout était très bien!

El hotel ha sido espectacular, habitaciones un poco pequeñas pero muy bonitas, la piscina en la azotea lo mejor, además ponen en la azotea unos pinchos gratis para los clientes, nos ha encantado.
