Linguaschools Spanish courses in Barcelona

Me colocaron en una habitación extraña, así que no quedé satisfecho, la habitación no tiene puerta. No me reembolsaron el depósito. No creas las fotos de la habitación.

Conocí Lingua Barcelona en el verano de 2022, después de un curso de un mes, continué el curso nuevamente en febrero y también asistí al curso el pasado agosto y este septiembre.
Lo que más me gusta y más útil de Lingua es que todos los profesores son muy amables y me apoyan muchísimo. Nunca me he encontrado con actitudes negativas todavía. A todos ellos les estoy agradecido.
También me gustaría agradecer a Laura, Christina, Soraya y Tamara, que me aportaron mucho.
Ahora no puedo esperar a las extensas clases en línea:)

En general, disfruté todo el período de estudio allí y podría recomendar esta escuela a mis amigos y a cualquiera que esté dispuesto a mejorar sus habilidades en español. Los profesores que tuve son personas muy amables y conocedoras que operan con diversas técnicas y metodologías útiles a lo largo de las clases (saludos a Naná, Anna, Ana Maria, Mari, Arturo). También quiero destacar la diversidad de nacionalidades que componían mi grupo, lo que, en mi opinión, es una gran ventaja competitiva de la escuela en comparación con otros centros de idiomas en Barcelona.

Après avoir suivi un trimestre de cours à l’école Linguaschool, j’ai beaucoup amélioré mon niveau d’espagnol.
Les professeurs de l’école sont très sympas et très pédagogiques. Les cours sont bien structurés et faciles à suivre. Il est facile de s’exprimer pendant le cours car il y a 10 étudiants au maximum dans la classe.
Je recommande vivement cette école.

Después de tomar un semestre de clases en Linguaschool, mejoré mucho mi nivel de español.
Los profesores de la escuela son muy amables y muy educativos. Las lecciones están bien estructuradas y son fáciles de seguir. Es fácil expresarse durante el curso porque hay un máximo de 10 alumnos en la clase.
Recomiendo ampliamente esta escuela.

I followed a language course at Linguaschools during 2 months and improved my Spanish immensely. I really like their method of teaching and all the teachers I have had were amazing, especially (Anne-Mari, Mayka, Marc and Alvaro). I am considering to return to Linguaschools in January for a few more weeks so that I can improve my Spanish even more. Hope to see you soon!

The trip I made to Spain to study at Linguaschool in Barcelona to study a spanish course was fantastic it has been one of the highlights of my life, for reals. Since I always wanted to go to Spain to study Spanish and Linguaschools helped me to make it happen it was smooth planning with their help. I can’t say enough of the class settings, faculty, and my room accommodations I stayed with a wonderful family the hostess was Anna till this day I am friends on Facebook and remember them dearly. They made me feel like family. I would highly recommend Linguaschools. The teachers and accommodations are extraordinary

I spent 6 months at Linguaschools and had the best experience. The school itself is super cute, the professors are great, and I met such great people through the school! They also had fun activities planned each week which I really enjoyed!

Nice school, also they sell drinks for only 1 Euro. That is a nice touch.
The teachers are professional and funny as well, very important for a good ambience.

I spent an amazing month in Barcelona in July 2021 with Linguaschools. I was living with host family, which was fine option. I really enjoyed lessons which were funny and the staffwas always helpful. I loved evening acctivities. I reccomend this school to everyone!

I found the experience at Linguaschool transformational.

The teachers and staff are superb. I never felt self conscious in class and felt confident the staff would do their best for me.

Beyond that, the sense of learning and community here changed my whole Barcelona experience from being an outside tourist to feeling a sense of belonging which impacted my whole stay.
The friends will stay with me long after I return.

Highly recommend taking as many classes as you can for as long as you can.

Definitely the best place to study Spanish in Barcelona. The school is beautiful and I could increase my skills from absolute beginner in a few weeks a lot!

I went to Lingua school only for a week this summer (my level is around A2/B1) and just this week I felt like I improved massively. The course was well designed for learning the grammar/vocab basis and I would also HIGHLY recommend the conversation classes, these were done in a very fun way and greatly improved my confidence. Linguaschool also offers activities after class like walks around the city with a local teacher, yoga classes on the beach, bike rides. Overall it's super cool and I wish I could have stayed for longer!

I took classes during 8 weeks and I loved it! First of all the teachers were all very nice and good. I came there without speaking a word of Spanish and I left with being able to express myself in basic Spanish. The first 4 weeks I had classes from 14: 30-18: 30 and the other 4 weeks i had classes from 9: 30-13: 30 which I preferred.
The school building is beautiful and located very good. I met a lot of amazing people at the school! Also, I liked the activities every week, a chance to explore and meet new people under the guidance of lovely Lena:). Thank you and hope to come back someday!

Really fun school with fun teachers, it will definitely help you improve your Spanish. The school provides a great social atmosphere to get to know new people while you are traveling. Highly reccomend.

I spent 4 months in total at the school, divided in two periods. I have had several of the teachers in class, and they are all great. I learned a lot and I like the method used when combining grammar, listening and speaking in a good combination.

I can highly recommend the school to others.

And a plus is that the school is located in a nice neighborhood in Barcelona.

Going to Spanish classes at Linguaschools is a whole experience! Arriving at the school through this dreamy flowery typical Spanish street is just mesmerising. The school itself is beautiful and real Spanish. Students relaxing in the garden or roof terrace. The rooms typical Spanish with beautiful high ceilings and colourful tiles.
The people working at the school make you feel at home from the first day you set a step into the school. And my teacher in particular was like an actor. He was able to teach us Spanish by only speaking Spanish combined with his great acting skills haha. I learned a lot! And got to know some wonderful people.
The school is in the middle of the city, so there is so much to do and discover. They also organise very nice activities and once a week we’d have sangria on the roof terrace.

I could write a lot more, but I recommend you go there yourself to discover this amazing place!

Despite their were generous calling me to remind me of the exam time (i dismissed the mail by mistake) i came late but still they allowed me in, the exam itself wasn't the best experience.

I studied at Linguaschools Barcelona for 10 weeks and finished just before Christmas 2020. The year of the pandemic.

Firstly, the building is beautiful, there's a terrace at the front and a roof terrace too for those after class cervezas / nibbles with your international classmates.

The teachers are wonderful and from a mixture of places, which is a great advantage because you get to know the different regional accents.

I enrolled onto the Intensive 20 course which was from either 9.00 - 13.00 or 9.30 - 13.30. Perfect times as you still have the rest of your day to do whatever you like.

Classes consisted of grammar, conversation, games, audio and the occasional sing song which was always a lot of fun.

The teachers are friendly and fun, the environment is welcoming and the location is perfect too. There really is nothing bad to say about this school.

Throughout the ever changing restrictions of the pandemic, we were all kept well informed and felt safe. After class activities were not possible for most of my time there but alternatives were provided.

I really loved my time at Linguaschools and I am looking forward to returning in the coming months.

No doubt to take the courses from LinguaSchools, cause they have the most creative and motivated teachers you are going to have lessons with.
And of course as a foreigner you would love to have quality time with people around you and the activities that arranged and well planned for you. So which will give you the chance to keep so many good memories and experiences during your education with LinguaSchools and living in Barcelona.
P. S. As a student that had the first half term of 3 months in Madrid, one of my concern about Barcelona was that the city is a Catalan speaking city. So depends on my experiences I would say that generally speaking Catalan in Barcelona is not a big deal while you are learning Spanish with Spanish Speaker Teachers and there are many ways to practise your Spanish by participating to events like "LanguageExchange" that happens in the city. Also public people are very understandable and able to talk to you in Spanish once they understood that you are a foreigner.

Great language school with very good courses and motivated teachers. The atmosphere in the school is very friendly and the class groups are quite small, which allows for effective learning with much interaction. Course materials (included in the course fee) are also very useful and professional.

The reason why I don't give 5 stars is that the quality of the courses depends a lot on the teachers you get. I did around 6 weeks of courses (Intensive, Semi-Intensive and Conversation, Level A2 and B1) with 7 different teachers in total. The level of skill and motivation was differing quite a lot among them, although the average teacher was very motivated and did a really good job. Due to the structure of the courses you will also usually have classes with at least 2 different teachers per week.

In conclusion, even though there is still room for improvements I can truly recommend the school - the value for money of the courses is great and you will meet a lot of nice people. I am looking forward to my next visit!

I have taken several extensive Spanish courses and the experience has been wonderful! I've learned a lot and made new friends. It's a great place to study Spanish with high quality teachers.

Meeting hundreds of people from all over the world, getting different information about different cultures every day is another dimension of this trip that continues to influence beyond education. The school answers all your questions and is open to any kind of help.

I had great professors and schoolmates so I had a very good experience. The school is well located and the staff always kind.

I took intensive20 class for about 2 monthes at Linguaschools and it was a very pleasant experience. All the teachers were very enthuastic and staffs were all helpful, too. Usually I had about 6~8 classmates pretty multinational in my class. Location is also a gem, very central. Highly recommended if you want to learn Spanish as a total beginner just like I did!

Didnt make clear that you pay for a course that everybody gets a certificate even if you don’t reach the level you attended! You will get an ATTENDANCE certificate. On A1 there was no book just bad printed copies that they handout. Did I improve yes. Was it worth the €250 that I payed for a 12 weeks cours defiantly not.

Teachers are so nice. And the classroom is cute! Love everything here! I will definitely to come back here again to study Spanish!

Excellent tutor and location, good administration. In summertime, be ready for a potentially hot classroom. Be warned also about their cancellation policy: I had an emergency and was forced to forfeit one class - a hefty 40 euro loss. Regardless, this is among the better language schools in Barcelona.

I had done a course of 4 weeks and all i can say is that it's an amazing school, very friendly and cool staff with interesting and fun ways of teaching! They also organise social activities to enable students to socialise and experience the most out of Barcelona! Highly recommended!

J'ai adoré mon expérience à cette école. Le programme, la rigueur, les professeurs. J'ai suivi les cours de groupe et un cours avec un professeur particulier et tout me convenait. Aussi l'endroit est vraiment joli, agréable et très chouette. La situation géographique est également vraiment bien. Je n'ai pas eu la chance de participer aux activités, mais j'ai pris connaissance de celles-ci et c'est des plus intéressants et en continuité avec le programme. Je recommande fortement!

A throughly great experience. The school is located in a beautiful old building in the centre of Barcelona. The class was not over crowded (about 13 students), and the teachers were very professional, and friendly, and they ensured that everyone was involved in the class and understood the topics. I highly recommend this school to anyone who is interested in learning Spanish.

It was an amazing experience, I’m completely satisfied. On the first day I could only make a couple of sentences, on the last day I was able to communicate properly with all the A1-A2 knowledge that I have studied. Thank you for the opportunity! Especially my private teacher, Sheila.

The school is just as amazing as the people you will meet there! I was only there for one week, and I regret not having stayed longer. I had the best time and learned a lot. The school has a lot to offer to keep you entertained even outside the lessons. Definitely recommended! Hope to be there again next summer:)

Ich habe im Mai einen einwöchigen Spanischkurs in Barcelona belegt und bin noch immer sehr begeistert über die Methodik, wie die zu erlernende Sprache vermittelt wurde. Selbst eine Woche war bereits sehr intensiv und hat mir viel Spaß gemacht, was vor allem an der ambitionierten und super sympathischen Art meiner zwei Lehrerinnen lag: Sofia und Mari
Das Preis-/ Leistungsverhältnis finde ich im Übrigen auch unschlagbar. Ich kann Linguaschools also nur weiterempfehlen!

The teachers were great! The were always well prepared and lead the classes into interesting discussions and activities. I really enjoyed the classes very much. The staff were all very helpful and very friendly. And the school itself is in a beautiful building in an great neighborhood. Établissement correct, cours corrects. Un bémol, n'y allez pas pendant une semaine avec jour férié car ils voudront vous faire payer le prix d'une semaine pleine alors que vous aurez un jour de cours en moins ce qui est beaucoup sur 5 jours

I have done one week in spanish language in this school and it was an amazing time learning but never enough to get the whole thing of course. Overall, the experience was something new for me. I really recommend anyone who's interested in spanish culture and language to have it in this school. The one week that I had was all about basics of how to use the language, and with the host family I stayed with I had the time to practice it with them. I want to have this experience again and again until I get it fluently. Everything was organised for us, even the activities they had. Muchas gracias, hasta luego, Adios.

I give this place 3 stars because they are not very good with accommodating your busy work schedule. Once you sign up you are locked in. No refunds and no make up classes. Management is very firm on telling you, you should have read all the terms and conditions before joining. (I can't really argue that). So once you hit send payment, you'd better go our you lose 100 Euros for the week of Intense Training. The course is very fast paced (It's intended to be) so be sure you can handle a new language in a fast paced environment. (AGAIN, NO REFUNDS OR MAKE UP SESSIONS.) The instructors are high energy, funny and attentive. The complete class is taught in Spanish. So if you're looking for proper english translations to comprehend.don't look too hard. The instructor (s) ask you to only speak in Spanish which is obviously EXTREMELY hard to do, because you have not learned the language as of yet. I only made it through day one because I have read books and have done small self teachings of some of the basics. Overall, there is benefit to be had, outside the admin.struggles.
