I had planned a surprise proposal to my fiance for a trip in January. I was debating between going to Hawaii or Barcelona - but after coming across Martina's profile and her aesthetic, I knew that I had to make the trip out to Barcelona. Martina was extremely responsive over email and on our call, she laid out the different options we had for the proposal. She gave many helpful tips for the perfect proposal and thought of every detail. On the day prior, she even messaged to let me know not to arrive too early as it would be too cold and may ruin the surprise. We ended up also hiring Pono, who did the videography. We had a blast: for two people who never do professional shoots - they were able to direct us, give us ideas and suggestions to pull off perfect shots. In the end, all of our friends and family members loved the video and photos that came out of the trip. I could not be happier with the money spent hiring Martina and Pono.

Our wedding planner recommended Martina, as she had worked with her many times and knew first hand how lovely and talented Martina was, and her unique skill for capturing the beauty and drama of cloudy days and low light. This was particularly important for us as we were getting married in February, but whatever the time of year and weather you’re expecting we couldn’t recommend working with Martina enough.

For us it was love at first sight when we saw her website and Instagram filled with gorgeous, understated shots that looked like they were stills straight from a film or pieces from an art gallery. From our initial introductory call over Zoom and pre-wedding email conversations to the actual day and then the post-wedding follow-up, Martina had the perfect balance between professionalism and attention to detail and being a huge warm, bubbly and thoughtful presence.

Right from the beginning she was careful to ask us if we had any specific details we wanted captured on the wedding day and she took onboard all of our requirements - from the classic requests like photographing our shoes to the more unusual request of taking photographs of the family dog! She was also very empathetic and understanding when we explained that we were not normally fans of having our photos taken and some of our family were quite camera shy.

On the day Martina turned up perfectly on time and got to work straight away photographing all the details of our special day. She was full of energy and enthusiasm throughout the day but completely unobtrusive during those intimate and quiet moments.

Whilst we were very nervous about having our photos taken Martina made us feel completely at ease and made posing for the camera feel very comfortable and natural. Our post-ceremony photoshoot absolutely flew past and we had so much fun we were disappointed when it was over!

After the wedding Martina provided us with a preview of the photos plus later on the full gallery and we couldn’t be happier with the stunning and incredible images of our special day that she captured. I can't even begin to express how much I loved and appreciated working with Martina. Planning a proposal is stressful enough, let alone planning a proposal in a country you have not yet visited. My partner and I wanted some photos to capture our time in Barcelona (traveling from US) and decided to work with Martina. BEST DECISION EVER. This was our first experience doing a photoshoot together ever and we are pretty shy in front of the camera as we have more experience behind it. Martina made us feel so comfortable and her prompts and direction made the whole process so easy and enjoyable. We chose two locations and the shoot lasted two hours, but it flew by. My fiancée and I were making a last minute trip to Barcelona for her graduation and decided on the spur of the moment to do our pre-wedding photoshoot in Barcelona.

The moment we saw Martina's portfolio and reviews, we knew she was the photographer for us. Her photographs just had a certain emotion in them that made us fall in love. Little did we know, our experience with Martina was even better than the 100% 5-star reviews and her portfolio would suggest!

From the very start Martina was a professional. Her responses to our emails were always prompt and very detailed. She knows exactly what she is doing and therefore her planning is extremely precise. She also works with a wonderful taxi driver, Carlos, who was brilliant at getting us around to our multiple locations throughout the day and this made our pre wedding shoot next to stress free.

When we met Martina, she just exuded joy and positive energy. Having your photos taken by someone for 5 hours could be an awkward experience with someone you do not gel with (especially if you are not naturally photogenic, like me). But with Martina, it was an absolute joy. She is encouraging and full of wonderful yet simple ideas. Simply put, I have never worked with a professional who I have enjoyed working with more. She has lived in Barcelona for a really long time and knows the places to shoot at really well.

Martina's after-service is excellent as well. Our photos were provided to us promptly and were beautifully edited.

Everyone we have shown the photos to was extremely impressed and to be honest, I wish Martina could just be mine and my fiancee's full time photographer. However, since we must share her with the world, I might as well give her a fully deserved excellent review.

It was my first time traveling to Barcelona so I knew very little about the city itself which can be challenging when trying to plan a surprise engagement but that is why you hire Martina Zancan. Wow! Wow! Wow!
My fiancé and I booked a trip to Barcelona last minute, and Martina was amazing with accommodating us and advising us about locations to take pictures as well as time frames. She was quick to respond to emails with any questions we had. The day of our shoot went so smoothly; it felt like we were just tourists in love traveling around to the most beautiful sites with someone capturing these memories and moments! Martina was so friendly and warm; it felt like we knew each other for months prior.
We got back our photos so quickly, and we LOVED them - we shared them with family and friends who couldn't stop complimenting the beauty that was captured in these photos. We will most definitely treasure these pictures for years and years to come!

To remember our time in Barcelona and celebrate our recent engagement there, we reached out to Martina for a morning couples photoshoot. We found her through her website and liked the soft colored themes and intimate vibe she created. Martina was very quick to reply, easy to communicate with and embraced our ideas – she even gave tips for what outfits to choose!

On the day of the photoshoot, we met early in the El Born to avoid the crowds and catch the best lightning. We never had any professional pictures taken of us as a couple, and we are not generally confident in front of the camera, which we had told Martina beforehand. From the very start, she was very encouraging and instructive and reassuring, so we always felt like we knew what to do and our confidence grew very quickly, and we got more relaxed. She gave tips to us on how to pose when needed but was especially eager to take the pictures when we were interacting naturally in front of her lens.

We had booked the 1-hour session and had time to walk around, take pictures at around 5-6 locations within the same neighborhood, including a lot of church doors (which Martina loved), stairs, arches, narrow alleys and small yards. She took a great variety of pictures: whole figure, close-ups, small details, portraits, both more formal and informal ones and most importantly she always said yes if we had any requests or ideas. We had lots of fun and so time flew by quickly!

The pictures arrived in my inbox about 2 weeks after the photoshoot and they were gorgeous. We could not believe how well she had capture us, and how grown-up and nice we actually look in them, but still being us – just what we had hoped for! Both our families are very happy with them, we already have request from them to print them as presents for birthdays and Christmas: D

We can whole-heartedly recommend Martina for any photoshoot! She is fun, curious, creative, social and it was great to get to know her a bit through-out the session. Even though we are no longer in Spain, we would be very happy to work with her again once we actually set the date for our wedding!

I had made up my mind to propose to my girlfriend while we were in Barcelona this past May – now came the hard part to find a photographer and plan out the moment. I found Martina online and after the first conversation with her, I knew she was going to be the perfect person to capture the most special day of our lives.

Just WOW! - Martina's photos of us at the Gothic Quarters were absolutely stunning and we can't say how happy we are to look at the engagement album together. Both Brandon and I have never taken any professional shots before and to be honest, we were quite nervous. However, Martina made us feel SO so comfortable and at ease. Her friendly and inviting presence brought out our personalities from the beginning of the photoshoot. In fact, one of our favorite pictures were taken at the beginning of the session!
